  3. Ok, so something I want to try is posting a few deals that I find around the net (I search every day, I'm an addict), just to raise awareness for certain deals and what not. We'll see how it goes...

That's all for today. Let me know if you think doing this is a good idea? You may find something you'd not have noticed before. :)

  4. I thought Origins was a really good game. It's biggest flaw is that it doesn't quite measure up to Asylum and City, which was is tall order for any developer, much less for one whose only experience with the series was the WiiU port of City. The brightest spot is how much Troy Baker and Roger Craig Smith (especially Baker) make for great younger versions of Hamill and Conroy respectively.

If you ask me, as long as you love Asylum and City, Origins is worth giving a chance.

I will definitely give it a go once I'm done with City, a close friend of mine has completed all three and he said that Origins is still a good game, just not a good Arkham game in comparison, so.. Yeah, I'll still play it. I'm also a massive DC mark so I'll play anything related to DC anyway.

Speaking of the Arkham games, has anyone seen Batman: Assault on Arkham? It was released on DVD/BR recently, and is based on the video game series. I thought it was pretty good (despite, at the time, having not played any of the games :D).

  5. Yeah the final Joker battle was weird, but both games were overall excellent. I have yet to get Arkham Origins though. Waiting for a GOTY/Complete version.

I bought all three as part of a Steam bundle sale in the summer, I think it was like £7-10 for all three. I've not heard many good things about Origins, though?

  6. I loved Asylum, but hated the final Joker battle. I thought it was lame. City is a much more fun experience all around.

I wouldn't say I hated the final battle, but it would have been nice if it was more a battle of wits with the Joker at the end, instead of what there was. Definitely glad I took the time to play this game, I don't get nearly as much time to play games these days.

  7. I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I finished Batman: Arkham Asylum last night. I started Arkham City straight after, and my friends have told me it's a much better game than Asylum, so I'm looking forward to getting through this one too, since I loved Asylum.
  8. You gotta laugh at some of the PC pricing these days..

Purchased Sims 4 today (to review for a site I work at). Origin want me to spend £59.99 ($97.88) to purchase this, as does the Sims official site.

5 minutes of looking around on the internet and I found it for £25.99 ($48.40)

Hmmmmm. I wonder which one I would buy?

In my favourites bar on Chrome I have a folder called "Video Games" that has about 15-20 web stores in it, including Steam, Origin, etc. and when I want to buy a game I mass open them all, and one by one copy and paste the title of the game into their searches, keeping the cheapest one open, and closing anything that is higher. Takes a few minutes but I've saved so much money doing it this way. I think when I bought Wach Dogs I ended up saying about £20 off the Steam price, and that was on release.

  9. Nope. Consoles like the current generation (360/ps3) are way too powerful to be emulated on the new generation. You need a lot more cpu speed to accomplish that, so it will never happen (though it might in the distant future). For the old games (until ps2) we have emulators on windows, but I'm afraid it will stop there. From now on - if we want to play all of our games - we'll need to keep the consoles and prey they'll continue to function.

This is why I never sell/trade in a console. In my loft I must have over a dozen consoles/handhelds that aren't used, but I know the day I get rid of one will be the day that I want to play a particular game on it... and I won't be able too.

  10. Is there any shooter (first or third person) games that are free to play that anyone would recommend for PC? I'm just looking for something that I can pick up and play as and when I have time or in between playing other games, really.

You know, when I just need to spend 30 mins kicking someone's ass (or more likely getting my own ass kicked)!

  11. After reading the comments here it seems I may be in the minority in that I didnt enjoy Brock vs Cena.

I love MMA, I love wrestling. I love one sided MMA fights. It's something you know you're getting yourself into when you buy an event. If it was a UFC event last night and Lesnar done 16 German suplexes I'd be marking out that he could do that to someone in a legit battle.

But this is professional wrestling. I don't buy an event to see an extremely one sided main event. I buy to be entertained. And sixteen German suplexes isn't entertaining in professional wrestling.

I get what they are trying to do, it's the whole "Lesnar still has the MMA mentality", but come on. I want to see professional wrestling when I buy WWE events, not faux MMA combat.

    Anyway...

Other than that, it was a top event. Thoroughly enjoyed the Ambrose / Rollins match.

  12. I truly am amazed at how easily Cena wins a crowd over. Will he finally turn heel? Of course not, but why the sudden change in character... His whole thing with Bray was to not do exactly what he said he was going to do this time. Interesting or is it just writers not paying attention to their own writing?

I liked his segment. I don't like the whole "every week I come out here..." shtick he seems to do every time he has a mic, but other than that, it was a good segment. I think the difference between this and Bray was that Bray wanted to bring that side of Cena out of him, where as against Brock, Cena needs to bring that side out of himself (hope that makes sense). In the feud with Bray it was about Cena not letting Bray win by letting him bring that side of his character out, but Cena needs to show that side to stand a chance against Brock. In a way it kind of makes sense.

  13. Rollins vs Ambrose - 2 unoffical street fights instead a match. Stone Cold Dean Ambrose! Teasing a (fingers crossed) No DQ match at SummerSlam is best way to play this hot feud... if the fans are willing to be patient.

Funny you call him that, the last few weeks I've been thinking he reminds me of a cross between the early Stone Cold character and Brian Pillman's "Loose Cannon" character.

Basically got a save on HeartGold, White 1 and recently just brought a 3DS and Pokemon X gotta say they may just be essentially the same game in a different skin but they are great, fun time syncs and a credit to them that over a decade after the first game they are still strong and releasing... and selling titles. </p><p> </p><p> They are great JRPGs and probably dont get enough credit.</p><p> </p><p> Also been playing alot of GTA 5 and Watch_Dogs, I still think its just a joy to drive in GTA5 I just love getting a car and just road trippin' </p><p> </p><p> So much so for the heist mission where you have to steal the fire truck I drove to the furthest away Fire Station simply for a road trip and it was Awesome...</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> It's been a long time since I've played the Pokemon games, but man I love them. Every now and then I get the itch to play them, but lack of any handheld consoles stops me <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> I keep meaning to grab the GameCube games, but haven't got around to it. </p><p> </p><p> Been really enjoying Watch_Dogs, and like you, I often find myself just driving about in that and GTA5. Watch_Dogs car handling is rather lacking in comparison, though, but it's just as great a game in my opinion. Not done much story as I've been doing a lot of the side missions, I just think they're so much fun! lol</p>

It's not that Cena's fans are more passionate or anything, it's that the attacks are so constant that you see people jump to his defence more.</p><p> </p><p> I remember being on forums in the late 1990's like the AOL ones and it was the same thing being said about The Rock with a lot of people jumping to his defence. But now everyone has forgot that The Rock was doing it too.</p>

Maybe not official power that Stephanie or Triple H have but as the biggest star and the only mainstream star he can most likely decide his feuds and matches. If Stephanie or Triple H left the company they can get another suit to replace them but if Cena left what would they do. Even if the end decision is Vince's there no denying Cena's decision are taken into account.</div></blockquote><p> Of course they are, he's the WWE's biggest star. And the same was done with Austin, Rock, Austin, Savage, Hart, HBK, HHH... These are all the heroes to the same people that despise Cena for the things that he does, which these same people done themselves. This is my point. This is what I have been trying to say, Cena is doing nothing new, protecting his spot. Austin did it, Rock did it, Savage did it, Hogan did it, HBK did it, the list goes on.</p>
  17. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Rickymex" data-cite="Rickymex" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>The thing I'm talking about is how Cena apparently wanted it to end up him vs 3 and that it was his idea to get DDT'd outside the ring, counter the 450 splash (the Nexus iconic move) right after, eliminate Gabriel then quickly eliminate Wade Barrett.</div></blockquote><p> It probably was his idea, but it still would have had to go through the agent, and then to creative. The same process happens for every match, the agent gets with the wrestlers, they go over the match, plan the finish, it goes back to creative. Or, at least, that's how I've heard it goes by the way some of the workers talk about it. It doesn't mean that he books his own storylines, it means that he gets a say in his matches - as do most other workers. It's the same process for everyone. At the end of the day it still would have been Vince McMahons decision to say yes or no, not Cena.</p>
