(Live from Macon Coliseum (GA), 5,043 in Attendance) Pre-Show: Mickie James versus Carmella In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Carmella defeated Mickie James in 18:08 by pinfall with a Code of Silence. Mickie James and Carmella have pretty good chemistry as opponents and it lifted the match as these two women competed in a pre-show match that went the distance just two days before both Mickie and Carmella will compete in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella picked up the all-important victory over the veteran Mickie James here. Match Rating: E+ Pre-Show: The Bar (Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro) versus Percy Watson and Byron Saxton In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Bar defeated Watson & Saxton in 17:41 when Antonio Cesaro defeated Byron Saxton by pinfall with a Brogue Kick. The British legend Robbie Brookside accompanied his protégés Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, known to the WWE Universe as “The Bar”, to ringside for this match and offered vocal support throughout which led to the former SmackDown Tag Team Champions the Bar getting the victory after Sheamus hit Byron Saxton with a Brogue Kick before taking out Percy Watson on the apron and allowing Cesaro to pin Saxton. Match Rating: C Pre-Show: Mark Henry versus Drake Younger In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Mark Henry defeated Drake Younger in 17:47 by pinfall with a Big Splash. Mark Henry was visibly tiring towards the end of this match but was still able to get the win. Match Rating: D Tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown kicks off with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles making his way to the ring. AJ receives a great reception from the WWE Universe in attendance as he retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. AJ Styles says that this Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View he will put his WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line against both Christian as well as a returning Daniel Bryan in a Triple Threat match. AJ says that Christian may have been a big part of the WWE for many years and Daniel Bryan has certainly proved his worth all over the world and especially in Japan for the past few years but that AJ Styles is proud to be the “Franchise Player” of this company. AJ Styles says that he will not allow Daniel Bryan to take the title this Sunday and rename it the WWE Championship as AJ still believes that holding this title means that you are the best in the world, no matter what Daniel Bryan claims after competing in Japan. Christian then comes to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own in hand and says that he looks forward to watching AJ Styles take on Luke Harper in tonight’s non-title main event as announced earlier today by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie. Rating: D Non-Title: WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka versus Tamina In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Asuka defeated Tamina in 7:03 by pinfall with a Billiken. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker note that Asuka will put her SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line against Paige this Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View. Match Rating: D- Following her victory the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka celebrates in front of the WWE Universe until Paige rushes to the ring and once again looks to attack Asuka but Paige is not ready for Asuka who again grabs Paige by the arm until Paige is able to squirm away and flee the ring and head to the back. Rating: E Non-Title: SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Uso’s vs. Fandanbanarama (Fandango & Cabana) In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Uso's defeated Fandanbanarama in 7:33 when Jey Uso defeated Colt Cabana by pinfall with an Alley-Us. Jimmy Uso seemed off his game tonight which led to the team of Fandango and Colt Cabana, introduced to the WWE Universe as “Fandanbanarama”, focusing their offence on Jimmy for the majority of the match until Jimmy was able to tag in Jey who picked up the win for his team after a double team maneuvre on Colt Cabana. Match Rating: D+ We cut backstage to find Layla and Summer Rae arguing about which of them will be victorious in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match this Sunday until Big Show walks past and Layla and Summer Rae immediately silence themselves. Rating: D WWE United States Championship: R-Truth © versus Samoa Joe In a match that had some good action and average heat, Samoa Joe defeated R-Truth in 10:36 by pinfall with a Muscle Buster. Samoa Joe wins the WWE United States title. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that Samoa Joe has won the US title in his first ever match on SmackDown. Match Rating: C Following his victory Samoa Joe celebrates in the ring with his United States Championship until Jinder Mahal comes to the entrance-way and says that he wants to be the first one to get a title shot, and Alexander Rusev then comes to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own. Rusev says that he has just spoken to the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie and announces that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View this Sunday Samoa Joe will put the US title on the line in a Six-Pack challenge against Jinder Mahal, Alexander Rusev, R-Truth, Andy Leavine and Shinsuke Nakamura. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that Kevin Owens will now go on to compete in the men’s Royal Rumble match this Sunday. Match Rating: C- We cut backstage to find Naomi and Madison Eagles arguing about which of them will be victorious in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match this Sunday when Big E Langston walks past and shouts at both women that the only thing will matter is Big E winning the men’s Royal Rumble match. Rating: D- John Cena versus Wade Barrett In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, John Cena defeated Wade Barrett in 9:29 by pinfall with an Attitude Adjustment. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that John Cena will be one of the participants in the men’s Royal Rumble match this Sunday. Match Rating: C As John Cena celebrates his victory in front of the WWE Universe Xavier Woods comes to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own in hand and says that this Sunday in the Royal Rumble match not John Cena or even Xavier Woods’ own partner Richie Steamboat will stop Woods from winning and going on to main event WrestleMania. Rating: E- We are shown a video hyping the former Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine and showcasing his impressive performances on Friday Night SmackDown last year. The commentary team note that this Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View Leavine will join Jinder Mahal, Alexander Rusev, R-Truth and Shinsuke Nakamura in challenging Samoa Joe for the US Championship. Rating: E- Non-Title: WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles versus Luke Harper In a match that had some good action and average heat, AJ Styles defeated Luke Harper in 14:45 by pinfall with a Springboard 450° Splash. Match Rating: C Post-Show: Trent Barreta versus Baron Corbin In an extremely poor match, Baron Corbin defeated Trent Barreta in 13:24 by pinfall. Unfortunately a pretty vocal crowd didn’t seem particularly thrilled with seeing Baron Corbin wrestle tonight with large portions of the WWE Universe not caring about Corbin at all despite him having previously appeared on Friday Night SmackDown last year. Match Rating: E Post-Show: Andy Leavine versus CJ Parker In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Andy Leavine defeated CJ Parker in 13:14 by pinfall with a Lariat. This Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View AJ Styles will put his WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Christian and the returning Daniel Bryan. Last week on SmackDown the “Franchise Player” AJ Styles told the WWE Universe that he will beat both Christian and Daniel Bryan in the Triple Threat match to retain his title when Christian came to the entrance-way and suggested once again that Christian and AJ work together in the Triple Threat match to take out Daniel Bryan, to which AJ Styles refused to comment. Tonight will be Luke Harper’s first match on SmackDown since a loss to AJ Styles back in November and an all-important victory for Harper could well lead to him getting a future title opportunity. WWE United States Championship: R-Truth © versus Samoa Joe Last week on Friday Night SmackDown R-Truth became the new WWE United States Champion for the second time in his career when he defeated the former US Champion Randy Orton in a Triple Threat match also involving Yoshi Tatsu after R-Truth pinned Yoshi Tatsu whilst Orton was out of the ring. Tonight on SmackDown R-Truth will make his first title defence against the challenge of the debuting Samoa Joe, the “Samoan Submission Machine” who has come to the WWE after winning titles all over the world. Non-Title: SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Uso’s vs. Fandanbanarama (Fandango & Cabana) The WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso will once again take on the Fandanbanarama pairing of Fandango and Colt Cabana in non-title action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown in a rematch from last week when Jimmy and Jey defeated Fandanbanarama. This Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View both Jimmy and Jey will compete in the men’s Royal Rumble match. Marcus Owens versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens Friday Night SmackDown’s holder of the Money in the Bank briefcase, Kevin Owens, will take on his namesake Marcus Owens tonight on Friday Night SmackDown just two days before Kevin Owens competes in the men’s Royal Rumble match this Sunday. Non-Title: WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka versus Tamina Last but certainly not least, the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka will take on Tamina in non-title action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown two days before Asuka will put her title on the line against Paige this Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View. Quick Picks: Non-Title: WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles versus Luke Harper WWE United States Championship: R-Truth © versus Samoa Joe Non-Title: SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Uso’s vs. Fandanbanarama (Fandango & Cabana) Marcus Owens versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens John Cena versus Wade Barrett Non-Title: WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka versus Tamina (Predictions are welcomed, there will be a prediction contest held every month.)
  3. Thursday, Week 4, January, 2015 WWE 205 Live (Live from Afook-Chinen Auditorium (HI), 1,000 in Attendance) Pre-Show: Rich Swann versus Epico In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Rich Swann defeated Epico in 18:03 by pinfall with a Tornado Spin Kick. The small man dressed in a bull costume and mask known as “El Torito” accompanied the former WWE Tag Team Champion Epico to ringside for this match and did plenty of cheerleading for Epico throughout this pre-show contest that went the distance. However, despite the presence of El Torito on the outside, Rich Swann was able to pick up the all-important victory here after hitting Epico with a Tornado Spin Kick. Match Rating: E+ Pre-Show: TJ Perkins versus Enzo Amore In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, TJ Perkins defeated Enzo Amore in 18:12 by submission with a Figure Four Deathlock. Unfortunately this match was too long given who was involved with the WWE Universe not too interested in TJ Perkins despite Perkins having competed on 205 Live since its inception last summer. Nevertheless, TJ Perkins was able to get the victory over the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore here after forcing Enzo to submit to the Figure Four Deathlock. Match Rating: D- Pre-Show: Cedric Alexander versus JTG In an extremely poor match, Cedric Alexander defeated JTG in 18:11 by pinfall with a Spear. This match was also too long given who was involved with the WWE Universe not having much reason to care for JTG following months of losses on 205 Live. The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander gets the victory here after hitting JTG with a Spear. Match Rating: E+ Tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live kicks off with the 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, former Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman and 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield welcoming the television audience to tonight’s show and announcing that the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy will take on Jay Briscoe in tonight’s non-title main event. We then see Cedric Alexander standing in the ring with a microphone in hand. Cedric Alexander is a Fan Favourite and receives a great reception from the WWE Universe in attendance as he says that this Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View the “Age of Alexander” will return as Cedric claims he will beat Buddy Murphy to once again become the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Cedric Alexander says that his first title reign was cut too short last year when Buddy Murphy beat him to win the title and since then Buddy Murphy has been on an impressive winning streak and despite the Australian Buddy Murphy having definite hygiene issues and smelling like a total “Bum”, Cedric Alexander admits that Murphy is one of the best in the world in the ring. Cedric Alexander says that he looks forward to watching Buddy Murphy take on the “Redneck” of 205 Live Jay Briscoe in tonight’s non-title main event before Cedric Alexander leaves the ring and heads to the back as 205 Live heads to its first commercial break of the evening. Rating: E Evan Bourne versus Bobby Fish In a match that had some good action and average heat, Bobby Fish defeated Evan Bourne in 8:30 by pinfall with a Moonsault. Bobby Fish is improving in Flying skills from being in the ring with smaller, high-flying opponents such as Bobby’s opponent tonight, Evan Bourne. The WWE Universe were in the corner of the “Every-Man” Evan Bourne tonight but it was “No Gimmicks Needed” Bobby Fish who got the win here after hitting Bourne with an impressive Moonsault for the three count. Match Rating: C- We cut backstage to find the “Redneck” Jay Briscoe wearing a Cowboy hat and drinking a beer when he is approached by the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy. The Australian Cruiserweight Champion asks why Jay Briscoe isn’t doing more thorough preparation ahead of their non-title main event tonight on 205 Live. Jay Briscoe says that he is well aware of the opportunity he has tonight and that Briscoe will beat Buddy Murphy which will lead to the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield having no choice but to give Briscoe a future title shot. Jay Briscoe then says that he hopes Buddy Murphy takes a shower before tonight’s main event as he smells like a “Bum”. Jay Briscoe then walks off leaving Murphy looking angry as we head to another commercial break. Rating: D- Eric Young versus Chavo Guerrero In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Eric Young defeated Chavo Guerrero in 7:40 by pinfall with a Wheelbarrow Neckbreaker. Eric Young and Chavo Guerrero have great chemistry as opponents, and it showed in both of their performances tonight. The “Fun Babyface” Eric Young entertained the WWE Universe on his way to victory over the self-proclaimed “CEO” of 205 Live Chavo Guerrero here. Match Rating: D+ We cut backstage following a commercial break to find TJ Perkins doing some exercising using a skipping rope when he is approached by A.R. Fox, who says that he would like to introduce TJ Perkins to his new mentor who will lead Fox to the Cruiserweight Championship, Terry Taylor. The legend Terry Taylor then pats A.R. Fox on the back and says that he scoured 205 Live for talent and A.R. Fox was by far the most impressive talent he found. TJ Perkins smiles before walking away chuckling. Rating: E+ Prior to the main event Ricardo Rodriguez comes to the entrance-way with a microphone in hand and introduces his client, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville, who then comes out and immediately grabs the microphone from Rodriguez. Adrian Neville marches to ringside to confront the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield at the commentary table. Neville asks why losers like Cedric Alexander and Jay Briscoe are being given title shots and main event matches whereas the “King of the Cruiserweights” Neville isn’t even on the show. JBL says that Neville needs to start winning matches regularly before he will be given another title shot and Neville angrily heads to the back. Rating: D+ Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Jay Briscoe In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Buddy Murphy defeated Jay Briscoe in 12:38 by pinfall with a Murphy's Law. The 205 Live commentary team note that Murphy looks focused as he heads to his title defence against Cedric Alexander this Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View. 4. Thursday, Week 4, January, 2015 The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live: Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Jay Briscoe The main event of tonight’s edition of 205 Live was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out from the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield and will see 205 Live’s resident “Redneck” Jay Briscoe take on his biggest challenge yet as he will face the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy in non-title action. This Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View the Australian native Buddy Murphy will put his WWE Cruiserweight Championship on the line against the former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander, who last week told the WWE Universe that he will bring back the “Age of Alexander” when he beats Buddy Murphy and the “Fan Favourite” Cedric Alexander also once again called Buddy Murphy a “Bum” who needs to really give his hair a good wash. An all-important victory for Jay Briscoe tonight could well lead to Briscoe getting a future WWE Cruiserweight Championship, and Jay Briscoe has picked up victories over Noam Dar, A.R. Fox and Kzy since making his 205 Live debut last month in a defeat at the hands of Epico. However Jay Briscoe lost to a returning Bobby Fish last week on 205 Live and faces a Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy tonight who is on a nine-match winning streak since beating Cedric Alexander to become the new Cruiserweight Champion last November. For the past two weeks Cedric Alexander has beaten 205 Live newcomers Eric Young and Evan Bourne in consecutive weeks and looks to do the same to Jay Briscoe tonight. Eric Young versus Chavo Guerrero The “Fun Babyface” Eric Young will take on Chavo Guerrero tonight, and Chavo has seemed to be confused in recent weeks after declaring to anybody that would listen in the WWE Universe that he is the “CEO” of 205 Live despite the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield repeatedly denying this. This is a rematch from three weeks ago when Eric Young defeated Chavo Guerrero in Young’s 205 Live in-ring debut. Two weeks ago Eric Young lost to the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy in non-title action but bounced back with a victory over the Englishman Oliver Grey last week. Evan Bourne versus Bobby Fish Evan Bourne claims to be an “Every-Man”, and a man of the people and the WWE Universe seem to respect Evan Bourne for this trait. Bourne will likely have the WWE Universe on his side tonight when he takes on Bobby Fish, who claims that he has “No Gimmick Needed” and certainly looked impressive in his victory over 205 Live’s resident “Redneck” Jay Briscoe in what was the first match for Bobby Fish since his 205 Live debut victory against Tajiri late last year. Quick Picks: Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Jay Briscoe Eric Young versus Chavo Guerrero Evan Bourne versus Bobby Fish (Predictions are welcomed, there will be a prediction contest held every month.)

Unfortunately this match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved with the WWE Universe still not really caring about Rosa Mendes despite her having competed on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown for several years now. Nevertheless, Nikki Bella picks up the all-important victory here in controversial fashion after Brie Bella switches places with Nikki whilst the referee is distracted which leads to the fresh Brie rolling up Rosa to get the win for her twin sister. Match Rating: E+ Tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW kicks off with the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar making his way to the ring. Lesnar receives a great reception from the WWE Universe in attendance as he is flanked by his in-ring mentor Billy Gunn, who retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. Billy Gunn says that this Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View Brock Lesnar will defeat Andrade Cien Almas to once again successfully retain the WWE Universal Championship and will then go on to defend the title in the main event of WrestleMania. Billy Gunn says that Brock Lesnar has once again been given the chance to take another hapless victim to “Suplex City” in the non-title main event of RAW tonight as the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox has given Brock Lesnar a non-title match against Danny Burch. Billy Gunn says that Brock Lesnar will send Danny Burch all the way back to England after the beating he will give him tonight and then the “Beast” will send Andrade all the way back to Mexico following the beating he will give Andrade this Sunday. Rating: E Non-Title: WWE RAW Tag Team Champions The Revival versus Dogs of War (Ziggler and McIntyre) In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, The Revival defeated Dogs of War in 8:28 when Scott Dawson defeated Dolph Ziggler by pinfall with a Shatter Machine. Scott Dawson was really off his game tonight but was still able to lead his team to victory tonight after Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre focused their offence on Dawson for most of the match before Dawson was able to tag in Dash Wilder who cleaned house before tagging Dawson back in who pinned Ziggler following the Shatter Machine double team maneuver. Match Rating: D+ The WWE RAW Tag Team Champions The Revival celebrate their victory in the ring until Santino Marella and Zack Ryder come to the ring and Santino takes a microphone to say that this Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View “Team CoBro” of Santino and Ryder will win the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships. Dash Wilder then pushes Santino Marella to his feet and Dawson and Wilder laugh before Zack Ryder stands up to the Revival which leads to Dawson and Wilder backing down and leaving the ring. Rating: E- WWE Intercontinental Championship: Dean Ambrose © versus Bobby Lashley versus Kassius Ohno In a match that had some good action and average heat, Bobby Lashley defeated Dean Ambrose and Kassius Ohno in 12:55 when Bobby Lashley defeated Kassius Ohno by submission with a Dragon Sleeper. Bobby Lashley wins the WWE Intercontinental title. The Monday Night RAW commentary team note that Bobby Lashley got some revenge on Kassius Ohno following Ohno’s attack on Lashley last week as Lashley forced Ohno to submit to win the Intercontinental Championship. Match Rating: C As Bobby Lashley celebrates his title win in front of the WWE Universe, the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox comes to the entrance-way with a microphone and says that whilst Dean Ambrose will now go on to enter the men’s Royal Rumble match this Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View, Lashley will be putting his title on the line in a Triple Threat match against Kassius Ohno and Finn Balor, who will be making his WWE debut following a successful stint in Japan. Robbie Brookside accompanied his protégés Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, known to the WWE Universe as “The Bar”, to ringside for this match as the former WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro looked to bounce back from their title loss last week as they took on the Bludgeon Brothers pairing of Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Sheamus hit Luke Harper with the Brogue Kick before also taking out Erick Rowan on the apron, allowing Cesaro to come in and pin Harper to get the win for his team. Match Rating: C+ Pre-Show: Damien Sandow versus David Otunga In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Damien Sandow defeated David Otunga in 17:41 by pinfall with a Terminus. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker took up their positions at ringside prior to this pre-show match that saw Sandow defeat Otunga. Match Rating: D+ Tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown kicks off with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles making his way to the ring. AJ receives a great reception from the WWE Universe in attendance as he retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. AJ says that AJ Styles is proud to be the “Franchise Player” of Friday Night SmackDown and that he is also proud to represent the entire WWE organization as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. AJ Styles says that over the weekend Daniel Bryan put out some tweets in which he claimed that the word “World” should officially be removed from AJ’s title because the WWE have not held any television events abroad for a few years. AJ says that he has competed all over the world, just like Daniel Bryan, and has earned the right to call himself the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. AJ says that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View he will beat both Daniel Bryan and Christian in their Triple Threat match to retain the title and go on to defend in the main event of WrestleMania. Christian then comes to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own and says that he is now sure that AJ and Christian need to work together at the Royal Rumble. Again AJ Styles refuses to comment as Christian smiles and heads to the back. Rating: D SD Women’s Champ Asuka, Hatred & Christina Von Eerie vs. Tamina, Portia & Nicole Matthews In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Asuka, Hailey Hatred and Christina Von Eerie defeated Tamina, Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews in 5:41 when Asuka defeated Portia Perez by submission with a Kana Lock. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that Asuka perhaps didn’t even need her team mates Hailey Hatred and Christina Von Eerie in this six-woman tag team match as Asuka single-handedly took out all three opponents in Tamina, Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews before Asuka finally forced Portia Perez to tap out to pick up the victory for her team. Match Rating: E+ Following the conclusion of the match the other women all head to the back leaving the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka to celebrate alone in front of the WWE Universe. Paige once again then rushes to the ring and looks to attack Asuka but Asuka grabs Paige’s arm and looks to lock her into a submission before Paige struggles to get free and eventually is able to escape and flee the ring. At the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View Asuka will defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Paige. Rating: E+ Non-Title: SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Uso’s vs. Fandanbanarama (Fandango & Cabana) In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Uso's defeated Fandanbanarama in 8:21 when Jey Uso defeated Colt Cabana by pinfall with an Alley-Us. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team all agree that Jimmy and Jey Uso both looked great in victory tonight as both of the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions will now look ahead to the men’s Royal Rumble match in which they will both be participants. Match Rating: D+ We cut backstage to find Maxine and Summer Rae arguing about which of them will be victorious in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match. Big E Langston and Xavier Woods then walk by and Xavier Woods tells Big E that AJ Styles didn’t even bother to mention him earlier tonight, and Xavier urges Big E to do what Xavier couldn’t and beat AJ Styles in tonight’s non-title main event. Rating: D- WWE United States Championship: Randy Orton © versus R-Truth versus Yoshi Tatsu In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, R-Truth defeated Randy Orton and Yoshi Tatsu in 12:25 when R-Truth defeated Yoshi Tatsu by pinfall with a What's Up? R-Truth wins the WWE United States title. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that although R-Truth won the title, Randy Orton was out of the ring when Truth pinned Yoshi Tatsu. Match Rating: C- Randy Orton and Yoshi Tatsu both skulk to the back as R-Truth celebrates his title win with the WWE Universe. Jinder Mahal then comes to the entrance-way with a microphone and says that last year we saw losers like Andy Leavine getting title shots at the US title, and that Jinder hopes that Truth will give Jinder the first title opportunity. Alexander Rusev then also comes to the entrance-way with a microphone and says that he is the one deserving of the next US title opportunity. Rating: E+ We cut backstage to find Layla and Rain arguing about which of them will be the winner of the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match when Big Show walks past and both Layla and Rain immediately lower their voices in fear. Rating: D Richie Steamboat versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Kevin Owens defeated Richie Steamboat in 7:47 by pinfall with a Package Piledriver. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that both of these Superstars will be participants in the men’s Royal Rumble match. Xavier Woods then comes to the entrance-way with a microphone and says that his partner Richie Steamboat has disappointed him once again. Rating: E John Cena versus Rhyno In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, John Cena defeated Rhyno in 7:39 by submission with an STF. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that Cena looked great here as he heads into the men’s Royal Rumble match. Match Rating: C- We cut backstage to find Renee Young outside of the office of the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie with Renee Young looking to get some comments from Eva Marie following Daniel Bryan’s comments on social media in the past few days but Eva Marie doesn’t come out of her office. Rating: E- Non-Title: WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles versus Big E Langston In a match that had some good action and average heat, AJ Styles defeated Big E Langston in 13:27 by pinfall with a Styles Clash. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that AJ looked focused tonight as he heads into his title defence at the Royal Rumble. Match Rating: C- (Arn Anderson would seriously consider either turning Big E Langston or trying a new gimmick as he has become a stale character and needs a shake-up.) 8. Friday, Week 3, January, 2015 http://www.daddyshangout.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Smackdown-Logo.jpg The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown: Non-Title: WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles versus Big E Langston The main event of tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie and will see the WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles take on Big E Langston in a non-title match. At the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View in a few weeks AJ Styles will put his WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a Triple Threat match against Christian and Daniel Bryan. The former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan created some controversy over the weekend on social media when he claimed that the word “World” should be removed from the WWE World Heavyweight Championship as WWE have not put on a televised event outside of America for several years, whereas Daniel Bryan has been competing in Japan recently. Daniel Bryan also said that after he wins the title at the Royal Rumble he will rechristen it the “WWE Championship”. An all-important victory for Big E Langston tonight could well lead to the big man getting a future title opportunity. WWE United States Championship: Randy Orton © versus R-Truth versus Yoshi Tatsu Randy Orton will put his WWE United States Championship on the line tonight in a Triple Threat match against both R-Truth as well as the Japanese Superstar known as Yoshi Tatsu. Last week on Friday Night SmackDown Randy Orton defeated R-Truth to make his sixth successful title defence since winning the United States Championship for the first time in his career at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View last October. Non-Title: SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Uso’s vs. Fandanbanarama (Fandango & Cabana) Last week on Friday Night SmackDown Jimmy and Jey Uso defeated Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, known to the WWE Universe as “The Bar” to become the new WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions for the third time since the titles were introduced in June of last year, with Jimmy and Jey also having been the inaugural Champions. Tonight on SmackDown Jimmy and Jey will take on the team of Fandango and Colt Cabana, Fandanbanarama, in non-title competition. Richie Steamboat versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens Richie Steamboat will take on the holder of the Friday Night SmackDown Money in the Bank briefcase, Kevin Owens, tonight on SmackDown just a few weeks before both Superstars will compete in the men’s Royal Rumble match. John Cena versus Rhyno Following a victory over Erick Rowan last week, John Cena will take on another big man tonight on Friday Night SmackDown in the veteran Rhyno, who wants to prove that he is still a “Bad Ass” in Rhyno’s first match this year. SD Women’s Champ Asuka, Hatred & Christina Von Eerie vs. Tamina, Portia & Nicole Matthews Last but certainly not least, the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka will team up with Hailey Hatred and Christina Von Eerie tonight on Friday Night SmackDown to take on the trio of Tamina, Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews. Last week on SmackDown Asuka also competed in a six-woman tag team match and quickly led her team to victory. After the match as Asuka was celebrating in front of the WWE Universe she was approached from behind by Paige who looked to assault Asuka only for Asuka to grab Paige by the hair and Paige was eventually able to squirm out of Asuka’s grip. Paige will challenge Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month. Quick Picks: Non-Title: WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles versus Big E Langston WWE United States Championship: Randy Orton © versus R-Truth versus Yoshi Tatsu Non-Title: SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Uso’s vs. Fandanbanarama (Fandango & Cabana) Richie Steamboat versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens John Cena versus Rhyno SD Women’s Champ Asuka, Hatred & Christina Von Eerie vs. Tamina, Portia & Nicole Matthews (Predictions are welcomed, there will be a prediction contest held every month.)
  9. Thursday, Week 3, January, 2015 WWE 205 Live (Live from Webster Theater (CT), 1,061 in Attendance) Pre-Show: Rich Swann versus A.R. Fox In an extremely poor match, Rich Swann defeated A.R. Fox in 17:56 by pinfall with a Tornado Spin Kick. Unfortunately this match was too long given who was involved with most of the WWE Universe still not really caring about A.R. Fox despite Fox having made sporadic appearances on 205 Live last year. Nevertheless, Rich Swann picked up the all-important victory here in a pre-show match that went the distance after Rich Swann pinned A.R. Fox following his Tornado Spin Kick finishing maneuver. Match Rating: E+ Pre-Show: TJ Perkins versus Kalisto In an extremely poor match, Kalisto defeated TJ Perkins in 17:57 by pinfall with a Rising Sun. Unfortunately this match was also too long given who was involved with some members of the WWE Universe not being interested in seeing the masked Kalisto who controversially likes to dress himself in a white hood looking very much like a member of the KKK. Kalisto had some appearances on Monday Night RAW last year but he was yet to wear his controversial attire at that stage. TJ Perkins, a Fan Favourite with the WWE Universe, had the crowd on his side but it was Kalisto who left victorious here. Match Rating: D- Pre-Show: Cedric Alexander versus Adrian Neville In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Cedric Alexander defeated Adrian Neville in 18:20 by pinfall with an Atomic Wedgie Bomb. Ricardo Rodriguez accompanied his client Adrian Neville to the ring for this match and offered his cheerleading support throughout this match between two former WWE Cruiserweight Champions but it was Cedric Alexander who got the win here after hitting Neville with the Atomic Wedgie Bomb. Match Rating: D- Tonight’s edition of 205 Live kicks off with the 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, former Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman as well as 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield welcoming the television audience to the show as JBL announces that the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy will take on Evan Bourne in a non-title match in tonight’s main event. We then head to the ring to find the Fan Favourite with the WWE Universe, Cedric Alexander, standing in the ring holding a microphone. Cedric says that in just a few weeks at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View he will bring back the “Age of Alexander” when he defeats the Australian “Bum” who needs to really give his hair a good wash, Buddy Murphy. Cedric Alexander says that he is well aware that Buddy Murphy is one of the greatest Cruiserweights in the world in this ring and continued to prove his technical prowess last week on 205 Live when he defeated Eric Young in the evening’s non-title main event. However, Cedric Alexander says that the “Age of Alexander” was cut prematurely short last year and that it is the destiny of Cedric Alexander to head to the Grandest Stage of Them All, WrestleMania, as the WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Cedric Alexander then leaves the ring and heads to the back as we head to our first commercial break of the evening. Rating: E+ Jay Briscoe versus Bobby Fish In a match that had some good action and average heat, Bobby Fish defeated Jay Briscoe in 7:35 by pinfall with a Moonsault. Jay Briscoe seemed off his game tonight in this match against the returning Bobby Fish which led to no nonsense and “No Gimmick Needed” Bobby Fish picking up the victory against the “Redneck” Jay Briscoe following an impressive looking Moonsault. Match Rating: C- Following another commercial break we cut backstage to find Evan Bourne preparing for tonight’s 205 Live non-title main event when he is approached by his opponent tonight, the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy. The Cruiserweight Champion says that he hopes Evan Bourne isn’t under the impression that he is going to revive his career on 205 Live following years of mediocrity on Monday Night RAW. Evan Bourne says that he is proud to call himself an “Every-Man” who represents every member of the WWE Universe when he enters the ring. However, Bourne says he still always has the common sense to wear deodorant, and suggests that Murphy should try it sometime as he smells like a “Bum”. Bourne then walks off smiling as Murphy looks angry. Rating: E+ Eric Young versus Oliver Grey In an extremely poor match, Eric Young defeated Oliver Grey in 8:30 by pinfall with a Wheelbarrow Neckbreaker. The 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield says on commentary that he is impressed with Eric Young’s ability to bounce back tonight following his loss to Buddy Murphy in last week’s non-title main event against Buddy Murphy. Match Rating: D- 205 Live official Chad Patton comes to the ringside area and he is joined by the senior WWE referee in Charles Robinson. Chad Patton says that he wants clarification from John “Bradshaw” Layfield, the 205 Live General Manager, about who is the boss here after Chavo Guerrero has been calling himself the “CEO” of 205 Live in recent weeks. JBL says that he has no idea what Chavo is talking about and tells Chad Patton and Charles Robinson not to worry. Rating: E+ We cut backstage to find TJ Perkins doing some stretches when he is approached by Chavo Guerrero who says he is the CEO of 205 Live and that TJ Perkins shouldn’t be working out backstage as it breaks health and safety protocol. TJ Perkins walks away laughing as we head to our final commercial break of the evening. Rating: E- Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Evan Bourne In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Buddy Murphy defeated Evan Bourne in 13:01 by pinfall with a Murphy's Law. The 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield says on commentary that Buddy Murphy looks fully focused heading into his title defence against Cedric Alexander at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View. 10. Thursday, Week 3, January, 2015 The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live: Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Evan Bourne The main event of tonight’s edition of 205 Live was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out from the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield and will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy take on the high-flying Evan Bourne in a non-title match. Evan Bourne will be making his 205 Live in-ring debut tonight after spending a few months at the end of last year competing on NXT where he was known as an “Every-Man”, a regular man who doesn’t see himself as better than anybody else. As well as having experience competing in front of the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena, Evan Bourne also has several years of experience competing in front of the WWE Universe on Monday Night RAW where he was a former WWE Tag Team Champion with Kofi Kingston. Last week on 205 Live Evan Bourne accidently spilled coffee on Dustin Rayz who seemed furious, and Bourne will be hoping to pick up the all-important victory tonight to make a better impression in his new home and potentially earn a future title opportunity. Bourne will face a tough test in the Australian Buddy Murphy, however, who seems fully focused on his defence of his WWE Cruiserweight Championship against the former Champion Cedric Alexander at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View in just a few weeks. Buddy Murphy was victorious in last week’s 205 Live non-title main event against Eric Young after Eric Young called Murphy a “Bum” earlier in the evening. Jay Briscoe versus Bobby Fish Bobby Fish, a man who prides himself on having “No Gimmick Needed”, will make his in-ring return to 205 Live tonight for the first time since December of last year when Bobby Fish defeated Tajiri in a successful 205 Live in-ring debut. Bobby Fish was originally brought into 205 Live by Enzo Amore to be Amore’s back up but if social media is to be believed then Bobby Fish will be looking to stand out on his own a bit more this year. Tonight Bobby Fish will take on the “Redneck” Jay Briscoe, who has impressed the WWE Universe since also making his 205 Live debut last December. Eric Young versus Oliver Grey Following his loss to the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy in last week’s 205 Live non-title main event match, Eric Young will look to bounce back tonight as he will take on the returning Oliver Grey. The Englishman Oliver Grey is an “Old School Heel” who loves to rile up the WWE Universe and is the “British Ambition” tag team partner of the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville. Tonight will be Oliver Grey’s first match on 205 Live since a loss to Chris Jericho back in November of last year. Quick Picks: Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Evan Bourne Jay Briscoe versus Bobby Fish Eric Young versus Oliver Grey (Predictions are welcomed, there will be a prediction contest held every month.)

Tensai was visibly tiring towards the end of this tag team match as Tensai teamed with Jack Swagger to take on the team of Santino Marella and Zack Ryder, known to the WWE Universe as “Team CoBro”. Tensai being so tired meant that Zack Ryder was able to force Swagger to tap out here to win the match for his team before Tensai could make it into the ring to help his partner.</p><p> <strong>Match Rating: C</strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Pre-Show: Seth Rollins versus Curt Hawkins</strong></p><p> In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Seth Rollins defeated Curt Hawkins in 18:07 by pinfall with a Phoenix Splash. The WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey teamed up with Angel Williams and the Australian known as Jessie McKay tonight on Monday Night RAW to take on the trio of Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes and Raquel Diaz in a six-woman tag team match. Unfortunately the pretty vocal crowd didn’t seem particularly thrilled with seeing Ronda Rousey wrestle; it would appear that large sections of the WWE Universe aren’t ready to accept Rousey as RAW Women’s Champion. 12. Monday, Week 3, January, 2015 http://www.targetcenter.com/assets/img/WWE_RAW_LIVE_DEC_2014_SPOTLIGHT-NEW.jpg The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW: Non-Title: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar versus Matt Hardy The main event of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out from the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox and will see the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar take on Matt Hardy in non-title competition. In the main event of last week’s edition of RAW, Brock Lesnar defeated Matt Hardy’s “Resurrection” tag team partner Luke Gallows in non-title action. At the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month Brock Lesnar will put his WWE Universal Championship on the line against Andrade Cien Almas. Last week on Monday Night RAW Brock Lesnar’s in-ring mentor Billy Gunn told the WWE Universe that Brock Lesnar will beat Andrade at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View and send him all the way back to Mexico. Brock Lesnar defeated Matt Hardy in non-title main events on RAW twice last year, and will be looking for a hat-trick of victories tonight. However, an all-important victory for Matt Hardy tonight could well lead to Matt Hardy getting a future title opportunity. WWE RAW Tag Team Championships: Gable and Glorious © versus The Revival (Dawson and Wilder) The WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, known to the WWE Universe as “Gable and Glorious”, will put their titles on the line tonight against the newly formed team of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, who have let it be known on social media that they wish to be referred to as “The Revival”. Dash Wilder had mixed success competing on NXT last year under the name Steven Walters, and will make his main roster debut in a huge match tonight as Roode and Gable put their titles on the line for the first time since winning them late last year. (Live from MassMutual Center (MA), 5,318 in Attendance) Pre-Show: Naomi versus Tamina In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Naomi defeated Tamina in 18:25 by pinfall with Nightfalls. Naomi and Tamina have great chemistry as opponents and it showed in both of their performances tonight in a pre-show women’s division match that went the distance. Both of these women will be competing in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match later this month so naturally both women wanted to pick up momentum heading into the Royal Rumble match. Naomi ultimately picked up the all-important victory here after hitting Tamina with her Nightfalls finishing maneuver. Match Rating: E Pre-Show: Big E Langston and Kofi Kingston versus Prime Time Players (Darren Young & Titus O’Neil) In a match that had some good action and average heat, Big E & Kofi defeated Prime Time Players in 17:42 when Kofi Kingston defeated Darren Young by pinfall with a Big Ending. Big E Langston is starting to become a little stale in his current role and some members of the WWE Universe were a bit bored with Big E tonight but they remained behind Kofi Kingston for the majority of the match. Big E hit a Big Ending on Darren Young before taking out Titus O’Neil on the apron and allowing Kofi to pin Darren Young to get the win for his team. Match Rating: C- Pre-Show: Damien Sandow versus Luke Harper In a match that had some good action and average heat, Luke Harper defeated Damien Sandow in 18:03 by pinfall with a Piledriver. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker took up their positions at ringside prior to this match getting started and witnessed Luke Harper defeat Damien Sandow with a Piledriver. Match Rating: D+ Tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown kicks off with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles making his way to the ring. AJ Styles receives a tremendous ovation from the WWE Universe in attendance as he retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. AJ says that last week Christian informed the entire WWE Universe that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View in just a few weeks, AJ Styles will put the WWE Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Christian as well as the returning Daniel Bryan. AJ says that he knew Daniel Bryan well before either man came to the WWE and that whilst Daniel Bryan had a fleeting run as WWE Champion a few years ago, he then took his ball and went to Japan. AJ Styles says that since making his WWE debut last year he has quickly become the “Franchise Player” of Friday Night SmackDown. AJ suggests that both Christian and Daniel Bryan watch tonight’s non-title main event when AJ Styles will once again beat Tye Dillinger. AJ thanks the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie for getting a chance to perform again tonight against that “Turncoat” Dillinger who attacked him last month. Christian then comes to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own and suggests that he and AJ work together against Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble before finally settling their own business. AJ doesn’t say anything as Christian smiles and heads to the back. Rating: D SD Women’s Champion Asuka, Summer Rae & Rain vs. Layla, Nicole Matthews & Madison Eagles In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Asuka, Summer Rae and Rain defeated Layla, Nicole Matthews and Madison Eagles in 5:58 when Asuka defeated Nicole Matthews by pinfall with a Billiken. Asuka looks determined heading into her SmackDown Women’s Championship defence against Paige at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month. Asuka pinned Nicole Mathews following the Billiken to win the match for her team. Match Rating: D- Following her victory Asuka celebrates alone in front of the WWE Universe as the other women all head to the back. Paige then rushes to the ring and looks to attack Asuka from behind again only for Asuka to side step and grab Paige by the hair before Paige once again squirms away and flees the ring. Asuka seems to have Paige’s number ahead of their SmackDown Women’s Championship match at the Royal Rumble. Rating: E WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships: The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) © versus The Uso’s In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Uso's defeated The Bar in 11:43 when Jey Uso defeated Sheamus by pinfall with an Alley-Us. Match Rating: C+ We cut backstage to find Kelly Kelly applying make-up when Carmella walks by and laughs, saying Kelly should focus on her make-up because she won’t stand a chance at eliminating Carmella in the women’s Royal Rumble match. The two women then start arguing until Big Show walks past and both Kelly and Carmella quieten down. Xavier Woods says that last week on SmackDown he lost the non-title main event match to AJ Styles and that tonight he and his partner Richie Steamboat were mocked by the Miz. Woods says that something has to change and warns Riche Steamboat that it will be every man for himself in the Royal Rumble match. Last week on Friday Night SmackDown as AJ Styles was addressing the WWE Universe, he was interrupted by Christian who announced that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month AJ Styles will put the WWE Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Christian and a returning Daniel Bryan. The “Turncoat” Tye Dillinger turned his back on AJ Styles last month when Dillinger joined Christian and the Bludgeon Brothers in an attack on AJ Styles before Dillinger challenged AJ for the WWE Championship in the main event of that episode of SmackDown. AJ Styles beat Dillinger last month to retain his title but an all-important victory for Tye Dillinger tonight could well lead to him getting another title opportunity in the future. WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships: The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) © versus The Uso’s The WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships will be on the line tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, known to the WWE Universe as “The Bar”, will put their titles on the line against the former SmackDown Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso. Justin Gabriel versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens will take on the high-flying “Thrill Seeker” Justin Gabriel tonight on Friday Night SmackDown. The “Bad Ass” Kevin Owens will be hoping to build momentum tonight before he goes on to participate in the men’s Royal Rumble match later this month. John Cena versus Erick Rowan John Cena will compete on Friday Night SmackDown for the first time since last November tonight when he will take on Erick Rowan of the Bludgeon Brothers. Last week on SmackDown John Cena told the WWE Universe that he will be competing in the men’s Royal Rumble match in a few weeks. At the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month Asuka will put her SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line against Paige. Last week on SmackDown following a tag team victory, Asuka was celebrating in front of the WWE Universe only for Paige to rush to the ring and look to attack Asuka before Asuka grabbed Paige’s arm and locked her in a submission maneuver before Paige eventually managed to escape. Thursday, Week 2, January, 2015 WWE 205 Live (Live from Olney Central College (IL), 1,000 Sell Out in Attendance) Pre-Show: TJ Perkins versus Simon Gotch In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, TJ Perkins defeated Simon Gotch in 18:09 by submission with a Figure Four Deathlock. Unfortunately this match was far too long given who was involved with many members of the WWE Universe failing to care about Simon Gotch despite him having previously appeared on 205 Live. Nevertheless, TJ Perkins picks up the all-important victory here after the “Fan Favourite” Perkins forced Simon Gotch to tap out following a Figure Four Deathlock. Match Rating: E- Pre-Show: Rich Swann versus Chavo Guerrero In an extremely poor match, Rich Swann defeated Chavo Guerrero in 18:21 by pinfall with a Tornado Spin Kick. Two of the members of the 205 Live commentary team, Scott Stanford and former Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman, took up their positions at the commentary table prior to this pre-show match taking place. In a match that went the distance, another “Fan Favourite” of the WWE Universe Rich Swann defeated “Latino Heat” Chavo Guerrero after Rich Swann hit Chavo with a Tornado Spin Kick to pick up the pinfall victory. Match Rating: E+ Pre-Show: Cedric Alexander versus A.R. Fox In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Cedric Alexander defeated A.R. Fox in 17:51 by pinfall with a Spear. Unfortunately this match was also too long given who was involved with the majority of the WWE Universe yet to be interested in A.R. Fox. Match Rating: D- Tonight’s edition of 205 Live kicks off with the 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, Billy Kidman and 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield welcoming the television audience to the show as JBL announces that tonight’s main event will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy in non-title action against Eric Young. Cedric Alexander is then seen standing in the ring holding a microphone. The WWE Universe in attendance seem pleased to see Cedric as Alexander says that in just a few weeks at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View he will defeat Buddy Murphy to once again become the WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Cedric Alexander says that he appreciates that he can still feel the love from the WWE Universe in every single arena but that he is not content as the Age of Alexander ended far too soon after Buddy Murphy beat Cedric Alexander last November to win the Cruiserweight Championship. Cedric Alexander says that everyone knows that Buddy Murphy is a “Bum” that smells bad and needs to wash his hair but that the Australian Murphy is also very talented and that Cedric Alexander says that he needs to be at his best to beat him to win back the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at the Royal Rumble. The WWE Universe in attendance seem to be fully behind the “Fan Favourite” Cedric Alexander as he says that he will be paying close attention to Buddy Murphy’s match with Eric Young tonight before Cedric Alexander leaves the ring and heads to the back as 205 Live cuts to its first commercial break of the evening. Rating: E+ Chris Jericho versus Kalisto In a match that had some good action and average heat, Chris Jericho defeated Kalisto in 8:20 by pinfall with a Code Breaker. Chris Jericho came out of the match looking good as the “Cheeky Monkey” Chris Jericho entertained the WWE Universe with his antics before finally putting the masked Kalisto away with a Code Breaker. Chris Jericho will represent 205 Live in the men’s Royal Rumble match later this month. Match Rating: C We cut backstage to find the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy doing some exercising before tonight’s 205 Live non-title main event. Murphy’s opponent tonight, Eric Young, then approaches Buddy Murphy holding his nose. Eric Young says that it’s true what they say about Buddy Murphy, he really does smell like a “Bum”. Buddy Murphy says that Eric Young can make jokes all he wants but that tonight Eric Young has been given a gift by the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield in a chance to be in the ring with the greatest Cruiserweight in the world in Buddy Murphy. Eric Young says that he has been all around the world and that he will beat Murphy tonight before walking away as 205 Live heads to another commercial break. Rating: E Jay Briscoe versus Kzy In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Jay Briscoe defeated Kzy in 7:28 by pinfall with a Double Underhook Piledriver. Jay Briscoe once again impressed tonight as the “Redneck” had the WWE Universe fully behind him in this match against the “Punk” Kzy whose hairstyle seems to be getting wilder by the week. Briscoe eventually put Kzy away with a Double Underhook Piledriver. Match Rating: D+ We cut backstage to find the Englishman Mark Haskins waiting outside the office of the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield when he is approached by the Scotsman Noam Dar, who asks Haskins why he’s bothering to wait for JBL when everyone can see JBL is busy at the commentary table. Noam Dar says that he thinks that Dar and Haskins aren’t going to be given anything here and that they would be stronger if they work together. Haskins shakes Dar’s hand and the two walk away together as we cut to our final commercial break of the evening. Rating: F+ We return to commercial break to find Dustin Rayz getting coffee from the machine before he turns around to literally bump into Evan Bourne, and the scolding coffee spills down the shirt of Dustin Rayz. 16. Thursday, Week 2, January, 2015 The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live: Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Eric Young The main event of tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield and will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy take on Eric Young in non-title action. In just a few weeks at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View, the Australian Buddy Murphy will put his WWE Cruiserweight Championship on the line against former Champion Cedric Alexander. Eric Young impressed many members of the WWE Universe with his victory over Chavo Guerrero last week in what was Young’s 205 Live in-ring debut and an all-important victory for Eric Young tonight, albeit in non-title competition, could well lead to Eric Young being given a future title opportunity. Eric Young is a “Fun Babyface” who the WWE Universe really got behind last week but he faces a tough test in Buddy Murphy, the Cruiserweight Champion who defeated TJ Perkins in last week’s 205 Live non-title main event after TJ Perkins referred to Buddy Murphy as a smelly “Bum” earlier in the show. Buddy Murphy is undefeated since beating Cedric Alexander back in November of last year on 205 Live to become the new Cruiserweight Champion and has since then been victorious in the main event of 205 Live for the past five weeks in a row. Buddy Murphy’s last defeat came at the hands of Chris Jericho at last year’s Survivor Series Pay-Per-View in mid-November. Chris Jericho versus Kalisto The “Cheeky Monkey” Chris Jericho will take on the masked Kalisto for the very first time tonight on 205 Live. Chris Jericho will be representing the 205 Live brand in the men’s Royal Rumble match later this month. Y2J has competed in several Royal Rumble matches but has yet to taste victory. Kalisto is a controversial Superstar due to his choice of dress, wearing a white mask that looks a bit like that of a KKK member. Tonight will be Kalisto’s first match on 205 Live since a loss to TJ Perkins back in September of last year. Chris Jericho, on the other hand, was victorious over A.R. Fox last week and is undefeated since making his 205 Live debut back in August of last year. Jay Briscoe versus Kzy The self-proclaimed “Redneck” Jay Briscoe has impressed many members of the WWE Universe since making his 205 Live debut late last year and tonight will take on another relative newcomer to 205 Live in the Japanese Kzy. Making his 205 Live debut with a victory over his fellow countryman Tajiri back in November of last year, Kzy is a true “Punk” and lives the punk lifestyle constantly and dresses the same way. Quick Picks: Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Eric Young Chris Jericho versus Kalisto Jay Briscoe versus Kzy (Predictions are welcomed, there will be a prediction contest held every month.)

Unfortunately a pretty vocal crowd didn’t seem particularly thrilled with seeing Ronda Rousey wrestle tonight as the WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey joined forces with Nikki and Brie, the Bella Twins, to take on the trio of Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes and Sexy Star. It would appear that some members of the WWE Universe don’t feel that Ronda Rousey deserves to be the RAW Women’s Champion having been competing in the company for such a short time. 18. Monday, Week 2, January, 2015 http://www.targetcenter.com/assets/img/WWE_RAW_LIVE_DEC_2014_SPOTLIGHT-NEW.jpg The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW: Non-Title: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar versus Luke Gallows The main event of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out from the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox and will see the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar take on former WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows. At the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month Brock Lesnar will put his WWE Universal Championship on the line against Andrade Cien Almas and Brock Lesnar soundly defeated the “One Percenters” tag team partner of Andrade, Derrick Bateman, in last week’s RAW non-title main event. Tonight is a big opportunity to Luke Gallows to impress the WWE Universe as well as Brad Maddox and an all-important victory for Luke Gallows could well lead to a future championship opportunity. However, Brock Lesnar has been victorious in the main event of Monday Night RAW every single week since beating Kevin Owens to begin his reign as Universal Champion last June. Non-Title: WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode and Chad Gable versus Authors of Pain The WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, known to the WWE Universe as “Gable and Glorious” will take on the Authors of Pain pairing of Akam Dhinsa and Rezar Selmani in non-title action tonight on Monday Night RAW. These two teams faced off in non-title action last week on RAW with Bobby Roode forcing Akam to tag out to pick up the submission victory for his team. The Authors of Pain will likely have their manager Michael Hayes with them at ringside again. Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose versus Jason Jordan The WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose will take on Jason Jordan in a non-title match tonight on Monday Night RAW. Ambrose will likely be looking to inflict pain on Jason Jordan tonight with Jordan being a close friend and former tag team partner of Seth Rollins, who Ambrose betrayed back at the TLC Pay-Per-View last year. Non-Title: WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne versus Wesley Blake Later this month Pete Dunne will be one of the thirty participants in the men’s Royal Rumble match but before then the WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne will take on Wesley Blake tonight on Monday Night RAW in a non-title match. Zack Ryder versus Roman Reigns Roman Reigns will join his Shield brothers William Regal and Braun Strowman in the men’s Royal Rumble match later this month but not before Roman Reigns takes on Zack Ryder tonight on Monday Night RAW. RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey & Bella Twins vs. Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes & Sexy Star Finally, the WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey will team up with Brie and Nikki, the Bella Twins, in six women tag team action tonight on Monday Night RAW to take on the trio of Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes and Sexy Star. Last week on Monday Night RAW following a victory over Raquel Diaz, Rousey was celebrating in front of the WWE Universe before Sasha Banks rushed to the ring to attack Rousey before the former Champion Alexa Bliss rushed to the ring to make the save. After Sasha Banks fled the ring, Alexa announced that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month Ronda Rousey will put the RAW Women’s Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks. Quick Picks: Non-Title: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar versus Luke Gallows Non-Title: WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode and Chad Gable versus Authors of Pain Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose versus Jason Jordan Non-Title: WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne versus Wesley Blake Zack Ryder versus Roman Reigns RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey & Bella Twins vs. Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes & Sexy Star (Predictions are welcomed, there will be a prediction contest held every month.)
  19. Sunday, Week 1, January, 2015 NXT Downward Spiral (Live from Central Florida Fairgrounds (FL) 2,000 in Attendance) Tyler Bate versus Trent Seven In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Tyler Bate defeated Trent Seven in 8:18 by pinfall with a Tyler Driver 97. Tonight’s NXT Downward Spiral special event begins with the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette and his broadcast partner Rikishi welcoming the live television audience to the show. Jim Cornette notes that tonight’s main event will see Johnny Gargano take on Roderick Strong in Strong’s first ever singles match in NXT. Tyler Bate, the first ever WWE United Kingdom Champion, then makes his way to the ring to a tremendous ovation from the NXT Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena. Jim Cornette notes that tonight is the biggest attendance in NXT history. Tyler Bate is impressive in tonight’s opening contest and picks up the all-important victory over his fellow Englishman Trent Seven after hitting the Tyler Driver 97. Match Rating: E- Highlights are shown from the final NXT UK show of last year, NXT UK Overload when Demi Bennett from Australia made her debut appearance and told NXT UK General Manager John Chapman that she hopes to have an NXT UK Women’s Championship to compete for soon. Later in the evening Sebastian Knight defeated Alexander Rock to retain the NXT UK Midlands Heavyweight Championship and in the main event Andy Boy Simmonz defeated Darren Burridge. Rating: D- Alesteir Black versus Samuel Stewart In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Alesteir Black defeated Samuel Stewart in 8:23 by pinfall with a Black Mass. Alesteir Black was once again dressed all in green and looking like an “Alien Invader” but still received a decent ovation from the NXT Universe in attendance inside the NXT Arena tonight. In his first ever NXT singles match, Alesteir Black picked up the win here after pinning Samuel Stewart following the Black Mass kick. Match Rating: E- Aksana versus Alicia In an extremely poor match, Aksana went to a time limit draw with Alicia in 20:00 when the time limit expired. The Lithuanian “Diva” Askana took on the self-proclaimed “Bitch” Alicia in women’s division action next with Aksana looking to continue to build momentum following her win against Emma at last month’s NXT Something to Prove event. Unfortunately it’s safe to say that the real losers in this one were the NXT Universe who had to sit through twenty minutes as Aksana and Alicia went to a twenty minute time limit draw. Match Rating: E Aiden English versus Boone Sparrow In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Aiden English defeated Boone Sparrow in 12:55 by pinfall with an Elbow Drop. Aiden English sees himself as a “Movie Star” and entertained the WWE Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena here before Aiden English hit Boone Sparrow with an Elbow Drop for the win. Match Rating: E+ Camacho versus Tommaso Ciampa In a match that had some good action and average heat, Tommaso Ciampa defeated Camacho in 13:21 by pinfall with The Fairytale Ending. Tomasso Ciampa looked to be a complete “Bad Ass” here in Ciampa’s first NXT appearance since a victory over Adam Pearce in July of last year. Ciampa defeats the much larger Camacho here as the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette notes on commentary that Ciampa looks focused and Ciampa signals to Cornette that he wants to be the next one to challenge Curtis Axel for the NXT Championship. Match Rating: D- Sin Cara versus Steven Walters In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Sin Cara defeated Steven Walters in 13:38 by pinfall with a Senton Splash. The masked “Gangsta” of NXT Sin Cara receives a decent reaction from the NXT Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena as he takes on Steven Walters here. Sin Cara certainly had the experience advantage having spent a few years competing in front of the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. Sin Cara has been competing on NXT for over a year now since losing to Wade Barrett in his first NXT match back in November of 2013 and Sin Cara has won all of his matches since a loss to Bobby Roode back at NXT Instant Classic in September of last year. Sin Cara continues his impressive run with a victory over Steven Walters tonight following an impressive Senton Splash. Match Rating: D NXT North American Championship: Ezekiel Jackson © versus Ricochet In a match that had some good action and average heat, Ricochet defeated Ezekiel Jackson in 7:35 by pinfall with a 630 Splash. Ricochet wins the NXT North American Championship. Since impressing the NXT Universe in his NXT debut last month, Ricochet has become an immediate “Fan Favourite” inside the NXT Arena. Ricochet was able to overcome the much larger “Bad Ass” Ezekiel Jackson tonight following a 630 Splash as Ricochet becomes the new NXT North American Champion, ending the reign of Ezekiel Jackson after exactly one year. Match Rating: D+ Ted DiBiase versus Adam Pearce In a match that had some good action and average heat, Ted DiBiase defeated Adam Pearce in 8:21 by pinfall with a Dream Street. Ted DiBiase was a “Fan Favourite” amongst the NXT Universe tonight as they hope to see his career get back on track in NXT. DiBiase got to a good start tonight by defeating the first ever NXT North American Champion Adam Pearce. Match Rating: D+ Johnny Gargano versus Roderick Strong In a match that had some good action and average heat, Roderick Strong defeated Johnny Gargano in 18:22 by pinfall with an Avalanche Backbreaker. Roderick Strong was a “Bad Ass” and dominated large portions of tonight’s main event until the “Cocky” but highly talented Johnny Gargano started to fight back. In what both NXT General Manager Jim Cornette and Rikishi on commentary agreed was the greatest match in NXT history, Roderick Strong finally defeated Gargano following an Avalanche Backbreaker from the top rope. Match Rating: B- Final Show Rating: C+ Prediction League Table:

Last month at NXT Something to Prove, Roderick Strong made his in-ring NXT debut as he teamed with Evan Bourne to take on the team of Johnny Gargano and Ricochet. Roderick Strong showed the NXT Universe inside the sold out NXT Arena just how strong and devastating his attacks can be as he man-handled both Gargano and Ricochet for large portions of the match before Evan Bourne tagged himself in only for Bourne to be pinned by Ricochet after Gargano took out Roderick Strong on the outside. Gargano spent some time last year competing in front of the WWE Universe on Monday Night RAW last year so has the big match experience edge over Roderick Strong in this one. Both of these competitors will be looking to do all they can to impress the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette and perhaps be the next to challenge Curtis Axel for the NXT Championship.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>NXT North American Championship: Ezekiel Jackson © versus Ricochet</strong></p><p> Also tonight at NXT Downward Spiral, Ezekiel Jackson will put the NXT North American Championship on the line against the high-flying Ricochet, who proved to be a big “Fan Favourite” with the NXT Universe when he made his debut inside the NXT Arena last month as he picked up the victory in the evening’s tag team main event. Ezekiel Jackson has now head the NXT North American Championship for a full calendar year after winning the title from Adam Pearce at last year’s Downward Spiral exactly a year ago today and in that time Jackson has made eight successful title defences.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Ted DiBiase versus Adam Pearce</strong></p><p> Ted DiBiase will make his NXT Arena in-ring debut tonight as he will go one on one with the first ever NXT North American Champion Adam Pearce. Ted DiBiase will be sure to be a “Fan Favourite” amongst the NXT Universe as he looks to rejuvenate his career following a spell on Friday Night SmackDown when the last time DiBiase won a singles match on SmackDown was a win against Dolph Ziggler back in September of 2013.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Sin Cara versus Steven Walters</strong></p><p> The high-flying masked “Gangsta” of NXT Sin Cara will go one on one with Steven Walters tonight after Sin Cara’s impressive Fatal Four-Way victory at last month’s NXT Something to Prove event when Sin Cara defeated Walters, Camacho and Boone Sparrow.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Camacho versus Tommaso Ciampa </strong></p><p> Tommaso Ciampa is certainly a “Bad Ass” and showed the NXT Universe why he is considered so tough when he defeated Adam Pearce in his NXT debut back in July of last year at NXT Road to Revolution. After that Ciampa competed on 205 Live and was last seen on Enzo Amore’s losing team at Survivor Series. Tommaso Ciampa returns to NXT tonight and will take on Camacho in singles competition.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Aiden English versus Boone Sparrow</strong></p><p> Aiden English sees himself as a “Movie Star” for his good looks and acting abilities, and Aiden English will likely be feeling confident in the ring tonight against recent WWE Performance Centre graduate Boone Sparrow, who is yet to pick up a win since making his NXT debut back in October of last year at NXT Reckless Abandon.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Alesteir Black versus Samuel Stewart</strong></p><p> Alesteir Black likes to dress up in green as an “Alien Invader” of some sort but his skills inside the ring cannot be denied. That being said, Alesteir Black has lost both of his NXT matches thus far, both of which have been tag team encounters. Tonight Alesteir Black will make his singles debut against Samuel Stewart.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tyler Bate versus Trent Seven</strong></p><p> The first ever WWE United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate will go one on one with his fellow countryman Trent Seven tonight. “True Born” Tyler Bate made his NXT debut back in November of last year at NXT Coming Storm following a spell competing on Monday Night RAW in which Bate reigned as the WWE United Kingdom Champion before losing the title to current UK Champion pete Dunne back at Summerslam last year.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Aksana versus Alicia</strong></p><p> Finally, women’s division action tonight will see the Lithuanian “Diva” Aksana go one on one with the self-proclaimed “Bitch” Alicia, who made her NXT debut back in November of last year at NXT Coming Storm where Alicia and Shayna Baszler failed to defeat the Team Brilliance pairing of Eve Torres and Charlotte as Eve and Charlotte once again successfully retained their NXT Tag Team Champonships.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Quick Picks:</strong></p><p> Johnny Gargano versus Roderick Strong</p><p> NXT North American Championship: Ezekiel Jackson © versus Ricochet</p><p> Ted DiBiase versus Adam Pearce</p><p> Sin Cara versus Steven Walters</p><p> Camacho versus Tommaso Ciampa </p><p> Aiden English versus Boone Sparrow</p><p> Alesteir Black versus Samuel Stewart</p><p> Tyler Bate versus Trent Seven</p><p> Aksana versus Alicia</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> (Predictions are welcomed, there will be a prediction contest held every month.)</p>

Gentile Center (IL), 5,119 in Attendance) Pre-Show: Cameron versus Carmella In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Carmella defeated Cameron in 18:23 by pinfall. Cameron was visibly tiring towards the end of this match with the former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella seemingly having the superior physical conditioning in comparison to the former Funkadaktyll in Cameron. This pre-show match went the distance and ended with Carmella picking up the all-important victory against an almost exhausted Cameron. Both of these women will be competing in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match later this month. Match Rating: E Pre-Show: Fandanbanarama (Fandango and Colt Cabana) versus The Uso’s In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Uso's defeated Fandanbanarama in 18:22 when Jey Uso defeated Fandango by pinfall with an Alley-Us. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker took up their positions at the commentary table prior to this tag team match taking place which saw Jimmy and Jey Uso defeat the newly formed team of Fandango and Colt Cabana, who were introduced to the WWE Universe as “Fandanbanarama”. Match Rating: C Pre-Show: Big E Langston versus Angelo Dawkins In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Big E Langston defeated Angelo Dawkins in 18:18 by pinfall with a Multiple Rib Breakers. Xavier Woods accompanied his good friend Big E Langston to ringside for this match as Big E picked up the win over Angelo Dawkins. Match Rating: E Tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown kicks off with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles making his way to the ring to a tremendous ovation from the WWE Universe in attendance. AJ Styles retrieves a microphone from the ringside area and says that it’s a new year and tonight AJ has a break from putting the WWE Championship on the line after many title defences last month. AJ says that to be honest he would have been happy to put his WWE Championship on the line against Xavier Woods tonight but instead the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie has made AJ’s main event with Xavier Woods tonight a non-title match. AJ Styles says that he’s known Xavier Woods for many years and he even selected Xavier Woods along with Big E Langston, Kofi Kingston and Richie Steamboat to be a part of his Survivor Series team last year. AJ says that if Xavier Woods is able to beat AJ in tonight’s main event then he would be happy to give Woods a future title opportunity. Christian then comes to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own and says that the reason AJ won’t be putting the title on the line tonight is because Eva Marie has already told Christian that AJ’s next title defence will take place at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View when AJ will defend the title in a Triple Threat match against Christian as well as a returning Daniel Bryan. Rating: D+ WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka and Becky Lynch versus Portia Perez and Tamina In an extremely poor match, Asuka and Becky Lynch defeated Portia Perez and Tamina in 6:45 when Asuka defeated Tamina by pinfall with a Billiken. Tamina seemed off her game tonight which led to the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka pinning Tamina to win this tag team match for her team, building momentum heading into the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View when Asuka will put her title on the line against Paige. Match Rating: D- Following their victory Asuka and Becky Lynch celebrate in front of the WWE Universe before Becky heads to the back. As Asuka remains in the ring she is attacked from behind by Paige, but Asuka grabs Paige’s arm and looks to put her in a submission maneuver before Paige escapes and flees the ring. Asuka then holds her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship high above her head. Robbie Brookside accompanied his clients, the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, to the ring for this non-title match and the WWE Universe witnessed the Bar victorious again after Sheamus hit Darren Young with the Brogue Kick before taking out Titus O’Neil on the apron and allowing Cesaro to come in to pin Young. Match Rating: C- We cut backstage to find Xavier Woods looking into the camera with a scowl on his face. Match Rating: D+ The WWE Universe come to their feet as John Cena makes his way to the ring. Cena says he’s been away for a while but is back now and is officially entering himself into the men’s Royal Rumble match. Big Show then comes to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own and says that Big Show is also entering the Royal Rumble match and looks forward to taking out all of the little losers like Xavier Woods and Richie Steamboat before finally being the one to eliminate someone who has been a thorn in his side for years now, John Cena. Rating: D- Damien Sandow versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens In a match that had some good action and average heat, Kevin Owens defeated Damien Sandow in 8:21 by pinfall with a Package Piledriver. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team announce that Kevin Owens will be taking part in the men’s Royal Rumble match. Match Rating: C- Jimmy and Jey, the Uso’s, come to the entrance-way and Jey has a microphone in his hand. The Uso’s then stay at ringside for Kofi’s match, which is next. Rating: D Kofi Kingston versus Tyson Kidd In a match that had some good action and average heat, Kofi Kingston defeated Tyson Kidd in 7:35 by pinfall with a Trouble In Paradise. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that Kofi looked impressive again tonight as the Uso’s watched on with scowls on their faces. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that AJ looked great as he heads into his title defence against both Christian and Daniel Bryan in a Triple Threat match at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View. Match Rating: D- Pre-Show: Rich Swann versus Enzo Amore In an extremely poor match, Enzo Amore defeated Rich Swann in 18:27 by submission. Unfortunately this match was too long given who was involved with the WWE Universe not really interested in Enzo Amore despite Enzo previously having had a short run as Cruiserweight Champion last year. Nevertheless, Enzo forced Rich Swann to tap out to get the victory here. Match Rating: E+ Tonight’s edition of 205 Live kicks off with the 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, the former Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman and the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield welcoming the live television audience to the show with JBL announcing that tonight’s main event will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy take on TJ Perkins in non-title action. Cedric Alexander then makes his way to the ring to a decent reaction from the WWE Universe in attendance. Cedric retrieves a microphone from the ringside area and says that late last year he tasted success as he started the “Age of Alexander” when he won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. However, says Cedric, that reign came to a premature end as Buddy Murphy deservedly beat Cedric in November to win the Cruiserweight Championship. Cedric Alexander says that whilst he is proud to be a Fan Favourite with the WWE Universe, everyone knows that Buddy Murphy is just an arrogant “Bum” who needs a good shower and someone to tell him that he isn’t in fact the greatest Cruiserweight of all time. Cedric Alexander says that he hopes that Buddy Murphy will have the whole of his native Australia cheering him on from home at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month because Cedric will surely have the entire WWE Universe on his side and promises to win back the Cruiserweight Championship. Cedric says that he looks forward to watching Murphy take on TJ Perkins in tonight’s non-title main event before Cedric leaves the ring and heads to the back as we cut to our first commercial break of the evening. Rating: E+ Chris Jericho versus A.R. Fox In a match that had some good action and average heat, Chris Jericho defeated A.R. Fox in 7:54 by pinfall with a Code Breaker. The 205 Live commentary team note that Chris Jericho will represent 205 Live in the men’s Royal Rumble match later this month, and Billy Kidman argues that Chris Jericho should be one of the favourites heading into the Royal Rumble match. Jericho impressed with victory over A.R. Fox here. Match Rating: C We cut backstage to find TJ Perkins preparing for tonight’s 205 Live non-title main event match against the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy when Murphy himself approaches TJ Perkins. Buddy Murphy says that TJ Perkins may have defeated Murphy in their last match back in September but that this is a different Buddy Murphy and that he is undefeated since winning the Cruiserweight Championship. TJ Perkins says that Murphy smelled like a “Bum” back in September and that he smells even worse now before walking away leaving Murphy looking furious as we head to another commercial break. Rating: E Eric Young versus Chavo Guerrero In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Eric Young defeated Chavo Guerrero in 8:23 by pinfall with a Wheelbarrow Neckbreaker. Eric Young and Chavo Guerrero have great chemistry as opponents and it showed in their performances here. Eric Young impressed by defeating Chavo Guerrero in his 205 Live in-ring debut. Match Rating: D+ We cut backstage to find 205 Live referee Jason Ayers preparing to officiate 205 Live’s main event match when he is approached by JTG. The “Gangsta” JTG says that despite complaining to the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield last week, JTG still finds himself without a match tonight and yet more people have jumped in front of JTG in the pecking order such as Jay Briscoe and Eric Young, and that there are even rumours that Evan Bourne will soon be making his 205 Live debut in the coming weeks. JTG says that it’s not fair that he isn’’t being given respect, and Jason Ayers says that he isn’t the person JTG should be complaining to and walks away ready to referee the main event, which is next. Rating: E+ Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus TJ Perkins In an extremely poor match, Buddy Murphy defeated TJ Perkins in 12:42 by pinfall with a Murphy's Law. 24. Thursday, Week 1, January, 2015 The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live: Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus TJ Perkins The main event of the first edition of 205 Live of 2015 was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield and will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy take on the “Fan Favourite” TJ Perkins in non-title competition. Last week on 205 Live as Buddy Murphy was bragging to the WWE Universe about his achievements since becoming the WWE Cruiserweight Champion back In November Murphy was interrupted by the former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander who announced that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month Cedric Alexander will challenge Murphy for the Cruiserweight Championship. Cedric Alexander made many members of the WWE Universe laugh last week when he told Murphy that Murpy isn’t called a “Bum” because of his long hair but because the Australian smells like a public toilet. Alexander then watched at ringside as Buddy Murphy defeated Rich Swann in last week’s non-title main event. An all-important victory for TJ Perkins tonight, albeit in non-title action, could well lead to TJ Perkins getting a future title opportunity. A victory for TJ Perkins won’t be an easy task however as Buddy Murphy is undefeated since beating Cedric Alexander for the Cruiserweight Championship back in November. However, Buddy Murphy is yet to beat TJ Perkins and TJ Perkins actually holds a victory over Murphy having beaten Murphy back in September in Buddy Murphy’s second match on 205 Live. Chris Jericho versus A.R. Fox Last week on 205 Live during a victory over Chavo Guerrero, Chris Jericho was announced as being a participant in the men’s Royal Rumble match later this month. Following the “Cheeky Monkey” Y2J’s victory for Chavo, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville came out to say that he should be the one representing 205 Live in the Royal Rumble match. Neville then handed the microphone to his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez and rushed into the ring to attack Jericho only for Y2J to sidestep Neville and send the former Cruiserweight Champion flying outside of the ring. Chris Jericho returns to action tonight on 205 Live as he will take on A.R. Fox. Eric Young versus Chavo Guerrero Following a loss against Chris Jericho last week, the self-proclaimed “CEO” of 205 Live Chavo Guerrero will return to action against Eric Young, who is making his 205 Live debut tonight. The Canadian Eric Young debuted inside the NXT Arena at NXT Reckless Abandon last October as he failed to win the NXT Championship from Curtis Axel in a Triple Threat match also involving Kyle O’Reilly and Eric Young defeated Evan Bourne back in November in his last appearance in NXT at NXT Coming Storm. The WWE Universe should be excited to see the “Fun Babyface” Eric Young make his 205 Live debut tonight. Quick Picks: Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus TJ Perkins Chris Jericho versus A.R. Fox Eric Young versus Chavo Guerrero (Predictions are welcomed, there will be a prediction contest held every month.)

It would appear that many members of the WWE Universe have no interest in seeing Nia Jax compete even months after she made her Monday Night RAW debut late last year. Both Mia Yim and Nia Jax will be competing in the women’s Royal Rumble match later this month and Nia Jax built some momentum heading into the Royal Rumble match by picking up the all-important victory here. Brock Lesnar is joined by his in-ring mentor Billy Gunn who retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. Billy Gunn continues by saying that he is pleased that the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox has given Brock Lesnar the chance to go one on one with Andrade’s friend and tag team partner Derrick Bateman in tonight’s non-title main event. Billy Gunn says that Andrade and Bateman like to call themselves the “One Percenters”, but that there might not even be one percent of Bateman left after Brock Lesnar takes him all the way to “Suplex City” tonight. Nevertheless, Ronda Rousey was victorious again here. Match Rating: D Following her victory Ronda Rousey celebrates in front of the lukewarm WWE Universe until Sasha Banks rushes to the ring for the second week in a row and looks to attack Ronda Rousey. However, just like last week Alexa Bliss rushes to the ring to make the save. As Sasha flees the ring Alexa Bliss takes a microphone and says that she has just spoken to the General Manager Brad Maddox and announces that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View both Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks will challenge Rousey for the WWE RAW Women’s Championship in a Triple Threat match. Rating: E Non-Title: WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Gable and Glorious versus Authors of Pain In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Gable & Glorious defeated Authors of Pain in 6:39 when Bobby Roode defeated Akam Dhinsa by submission with a Fujiwara Armbar.
