In terms of maximums, there's no real need to be too wary of going over. In previous games the AI would check the numbers once or twice a week and make firings if the number of workers exceeded the maximum levels, which could lead to early mass firing sprees if a company had been given a bloated roster. In TEW2020 the AI only checks if it needs to make firings once or twice a year and, even then, won't be making firings unless there's a financial reason to (i.e. they're losing money month after month).

Boom, thank you. Load those jobbers back in folks.

  2. No. The AI is just too dumb for that and I rarely look and take interest. In WMMA it is a little bit more cool to see what's going on, but even then the feeling of just being in a world of one promotion is still fairly prominent.

And I'm not really complaining about that, because it's fine, but I do wish there was some sort of thing that draws you in to the world besides looking at results. I will say though that contract negotiations are fairly tough most of the time, which is absolutely not the case in WMMA so it's cool to see who goes where.

Unfortunately I think what you are saying is the less you dig into the game, the more you enjoy it. The more you dig into it, it exposes the lack of an intelligent or realistic A.I.? I'm confident that is going to change in 2020.

  3. You have to fire whoever Shawn starts stuff with.

Honestly that feature doesn’t work very well because it is something that doesn’t occur at all in the Default database, in fact I’ve never ever seen it outside of RW mods.

So yeah you can use the editor if you dislike it or just make sure to never hire people with negative relationships towards Master Politicians.

I found in general the way it works is ridiculously unrealistic, but I think it calculates how social and how manipulative the stirrers personality is. The thing I don’t like is that like on your case, Owen Hart is a super positive influence in the back and is well liked by everyone, and Shawn someone can make Hatred Papen between another positive influence that everyone likes and likes everyone and Owen. Very unrealistic IMO.

I think the feature had potential it just wasn’t fleshed out. It should have all of Shawn Michaels friends hate Vader and Owen or calculate the other guys reputation and respect levels.

The higher the guys respect and reputation the harder it should be to get people to turn against him. Shawn Michaels for example shouldn’t be able to turn a room against Owen Hart or the Undertaker, those guys have way too much respect and allies backstage for a known menace who a lot of people hated to influence like that, if anything if Shawn had started anything against Owen IRL the locker room would’ve turned against Shawn. Owen was like everyone’s kid brother back then.

Yeah the Owen example has been cited for many years now. Was this fixed for 2020? A tweak really is all thats needed.

  4. In terms of exact figures, no - they depend on size, product settings, and owner settings, so other than posting lots of tables of figures there's no way to display that in a post. The general gist is that the rosters are slightly larger than TEW2016, but not to crazy levels. None of this should impact the planning of mods as you can quite easily play around with the owner settings to get to the desired number anyway.

So its going to continue the legacy issue of not being able to give RW companies their accurate rosters, and needing to leave out lower card guys so they don't get automatically released, etc? I hope that isn't the case.

  5. Currently not, but actually a good idea. With TEW2020 lurking around the corner, i won´t start until 2020 (probably only three more months till release). Wouldn´t be worth investing time for something that will barely be used.

Probably will handle it like Asaemon in the future. Put everything with value in a package for everybody to import. For example Movies Package, Worker/Company packages and so on.

    Really helpful, thank you

  6. At this time I'm getting a little worried that the rest of the journal is just going to be how it's been for the past few months of "Testing's going good... Yep..." Where has the hype for this game gone? Adam's been incommunicado about the features of this game for a long, long time.

I need some excitement in my life about TEW. Can there be some deeper explanation about the top features of this game, or something? Anything?

This has me thinking, what would the "Back Of The Box" features look like for TEW2020 if there was one? What do you guys think?

  7. WotI has every current WOW worker and almost everyone from the past in it (including titles and shows etc).

If you don´t want to go through the hustle of adding everyone, i could make a RWC import package ready, just need to change debut and birth dates and some minor tweaks. Also i have 200 WOW png´s sitting on my hard drive. Could be jused for potential picture packs.

Can you share these? I'd be interested in importing them into my own personal save game. Didnt even know WOW ever had that many workers

Vince McMahon had decided that to spell the death of territorial wrestling once and for all, he needed to build a star that transcended the sport and made the World Wrestling Federation a brand that surpassed all others. On the January 23, 1984 edition of the Madison Square Garden event produced by the World Wrestling Federation, McMahon decided to put all his chips on Hulk Hogan as he felt a movement he dubbed “Hulkamania” would be money in the bank. Booking The Iron Sheik to drop the WWF World Heavyweight Championship to Hogan, Vince could see his desire of holding a monopoly on professional wrestling coming to fruition but unfortunately, there were still those raging against the machine. The regional promoters who hadn't already sold out to Vince realised they would be unable to compete with the mass marketing potential of Hulk Hogan so came up with an old school solution. Dreamed up by Verne Gagne who was also backed by Jim Crockett and Bill Watts, The Iron Sheik was offered $100,000 by his former trainer to not only keep the belt but to ensure Hulk wasn’t able to walk away from the event, suggesting Sheik should break his leg. Leaving the world to watch in horror, The Iron Sheik unceremoniously accepted the offer and walked out of the match as WWF World Heavyweight Champion while Hulk Hogan was stretchered out with a severely broken fibula. Not knowing exactly why Sheik betrayed them as he did, Vince McMahon and his ailing father (and about half of the roster) ensured The Iron Sheik wasn’t able to leave Madison Square Garden with the title belt, and they made sure he knew he wouldn’t ever work for the World Wrestling Federation again. With a $100,000 in his back pocket and an awaiting job with the American Wrestling Association however, Sheik is confident he’s done the right thing. On the other side of the coin, things got even worse for Hulk Hogan and the World Wrestling Federation as complications during surgery has meant that Hogan may never fully recover from his injury, meaning he may never enter the ring as a worker again. With the World Wrestling Federation keeping him tied to a contract however, it seems that his career in the industry may not be over even if he doesn’t recover but in what capacity remains to be seen. What does this mean for the World Wrestling Federation and Vince McMahon’s desire to hold a monopoly on professional wrestling? Will he be able to find someone else to step into Hulk Hogan’s planned place or will the so-called “territory days” of professional wrestling continue to thrive? Find out in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020.
