  1. Finally diving in to a 1992 mod save. What's the best way to turn off auto-generated workers? I assume turn off dojo graduates? TIA.
  2. As a huge fan of the '97 mod, I'll take as many renders as you care to do!
  3. Tremendous work, and it's greatly appreciated.
  4. Removing the creative control is probably the right call. We know he had CC in WCW, but is there any indications that he actually had a CC in his contract with WWF? Doesn't seem like something Vince would have done.
  5. I just edited the injury "Back Injury" and started a new save, and now it says he can take part in angles. Beefcake's initial injury was different though. He could always take part in angles, and his injury (fractured cheek bone) did not require an edit. But now I have to go through and set up everything again...new TV deals, new storylines, etc. And I'm completely unmotivated to do so, haha.
  6. Not sure if this is something you want to touch, but because he has a "back injury" Mr. Perfect is unavailable for angles in the WWF from the start of the same, when obviously he was used heavily in angles in real life. It would require editing of the injury to allow him to take part in angles.
  7. Thinking of starting a 1992 WWF save. Give me some rules for realistic signings. For example, I think it would be unrealistic to go into Canada and sign guys like Jericho and Edge in 1992. I doubt the WWF or WCW had any idea those guys existed in 1992. So how should I go about realistically signing workers. What rules? I was thinking of a few like this... 1) Anybody who has wrestles for an American company with a TV deal. Any wrestler in those companies could be seen on TV, and their existence would be widely known, and it would be easy to get a good scouting report on them. 2) Anyone with a personal relationship with someone in the WWF. For example, blood relatives, friends, etc. 3) Anyone that my creative team recommends. 4) Maybe allow myself to look at the results of an Indy event once every six months or so and pick a wrestler from that event to sign. This would simulate scouting...maybe one of my road agents was at the event to see if there was any decent talent. 5) Anybody who works for a medium sized or bigger foreign company. Any other ideas?
  8. That's really high quality stuff, thanks a lot.
  9. Thank you! Mario Heroic's default image for the '97 mod didn't look very...heroic.
  10. Really impressive stuff. Do you mind sharing what AI generators you used?
  11. Finished my renders for my initial hires for my CV97 save. Pretty happy with how most of them turned out. Feel free to use them however you want. Now, I'm going to take a break and actually play the game! I'm lazy and don't feel like typing out all their names, but if you right click and "save as" you'll be able to see who is who. I'm particularly happy with Johnny Martin, Farrah Hekseth, Frankie Future, Chester Stein, Catherine Quine, Sammy Bach, and a few others. I tried to keep them as close to their original CV97 renders as possible, but it was hard in some cases.
  12. I think I used "slightly weathered" on Alex Braun above. That and his age means he doesn't look like a model. But yes, it's a problem, and it's especially a problem for female characters.
  13. Working on some guys that I've signed to my company for a CV97 save. Full size images. Johnny Martin, Rich Money, Alex Braun, Jack Bruce
  14. Here's a possible owner/manager/personality for free use.
  15. For others who enjoy the CV97 mod, I present to you the GOAT...if you can clean him up! Two alts for The Hype.
  16. This is my favorite mod, so these are much appreciated!
  17. Messing around with character creations, and here's what I came up with... "Black Rose is a dark, counter culture cowgirl who is new to wrestling, but her natural athleticism and grit could help her go far. Growing up on a farm in North Carolina, she always despised the girl-next-door reputation of farm girls, and as a result her dark and edgy cowgirl persona is something she's devoted to. Her lasso always on her shoulder, it's not uncommon for it to become involved in her matches." I stink at bios, but I think you get the point. Below is the image I settled on, and I think the black rose tattoo really makes it.
  18. Magnificent, thanks. And here's a WCW event I cooked up that I thought turned out pretty well. Really simple prompt...something like "Logo for a professional wrestling event called WCW Ascension".
  19. So good! I would love to see an Intercontinental title, or a US title, or even a North American title, for your WCW company. I know you base them in Australia, but I think I'm going to use those logos for a US save.
  20. Sweet, thanks. I kept it simple for the first try and entered "Come up with a wrestling company logo for Bad Attitude Wrestling, a late 1990s counter-culture brand in the United States, black and red colors, with the letters "BAW" prominently displayed" and I'm pretty happy with the results. Here's the best one below, and now I just have to learn a little GIMP to get the extra "T" out of Attitude.
  21. Your stuff is fantastic! I'm doing well with people, and I'll give your belt tips a go. Any advice on events and company logos?
  22. Agreed. It's been so much a part of wrestling history for company guys to recommend others. Also, I think it's too easy to scout guys in other companies. If a guy is wrestling in Canada (and I'm in, say, the southeast USA) and he's not on TV, I should have to send one of my road agents to scout him (perhaps multiple times) to get a better read on his stats. And a lot of his attributes should be hidden unless there are personnel relationships within the company. How would I know if some random dude in Canada is a professional prodigy, right?
  23. Amazing stuff. TBH, I have never played the default database. But these make me seriously consider starting a save.
