  1. Really solid Hammerstein show! Big fan of Pretty Boy Killers so I'm glad they got the titles. Curious about the mystery attack at the end, that was a fun way to close the show.
  2. I'm usually not a big fan of pre-NWO WCW dynasties because the era was before my time, but I'm really liking this! The combo of the Dangerous Alliance and Race's "Hydra" has been particularly interestin.
  3. Just finished the Revolution PPV and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out: Kris Statlander over Leyla Hirsh (Buy-In) Hook over QT Marshall (Buy-In) It was tough figuring out the match order, but here's what I went with: Britt Baker retained against Thunder Rosa - Tough call here, but it felt like they rushed the build, so I didn't want Baker's reign to end here. Interference from Hayter/Rebel kept Rosa looking strong. Maybe I'll have her win the TBS Championship at some point soon-ish to make up for this. Ricky Starks won the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match - Another tough call. I had Christian Cage beat Ethan Page to qualify on Rampage. It didn't feel right having him, Lee, or O.C. win here, as they're all above 35. Hobbs didn't seem like the right pick, so I had him and Keith Lee take each other out. The end came when Shawn Spears, hoping to make up with Wardlow, interfered, but he accidentally blasted Wardlow with the chair! This will easily set up Wardlow's face turn. (More on that later.) Of the options, I felt like it was Stark's time; he's young, and he's ready for the next level. The Young Bucks defeated reDRagon and Jurassic Express to win the tag titles - Another tricky one. As I mentioned before, O'Reilly went down with a broken jaw when he/Fish won the battle royale. I opted to roll with it/stayed true to life, with the Bucks winning the Casino Battle Royale. I thought about having Jurassic retain here, but I went with the Bucks. On one hand, they "only" lost the titles at All Out, but at the same time, it's been a while, and I have plans for them. The injury gives O'Reilly a perfectly valid excuse for a rematch. Jade Cargill retained over Tay Conti -Cargill remains unbeaten in singles action, but Conti was her toughest test yet. Bryan Danielson defeated Jonathan Gresham - It's funny how this worked out; I already set this up, due to Cole's injury/replacing him with Mox, before even the rumors of ROH's sale started circulating. But I stayed true to life and recreated the go-home show, with Khan announcing the sale. So this became a showcase match of sorts. Danielson shook Gresham's hand after the match to nod to The Code of Honor and hint at a potential alliance between the two. Eddie Kingston defeated Chris Jericho - IMO, Kingston had to win here, he needs a win in a big match, so I gave it to him. I went the other way than IRL, as on the go-home show, Santana and Orti didn't make up with Jericho; they said they were right about him and that they hoped Kingston would kick his ass. After the win, Kingston celebrated with them while Jericho sulked away. I'm thinking of adding new members to the Inner Circle, but I'm not sure who... CM Punk defeated MJF - I don't see Punk losing here IRL, so I gave him the win in a hard-fought battle packed with plenty of story. In the end, Wardlow opted not to interfere at a pivotal moment, when MJF needed him the most, enabling Punk to get the win. This sets up Wardlow's face turn, possibly as soon as the fallout episode of Dynamite. Not sure where Punk goes from here; ideally I want to hold off until at least Double or Nothing for his title shot. Sammy/Sting/Darby over Andrade/Matt Hardy/Kassidy - I came very close to having Andrade beat Guevara for the title on the go-home episode of Rampage, but I kept the title on Sammy to give him a longer reign. Other than some big bumps, the big story here was the dissension between Andrade/Matt Hardy. There's trouble in paradise with this business partnership, and it cost them here. Allin pinned Kassidy to keep Andrade strong. I'm using October data, so Jeff Hardy is still with WWE; his contract isn't up for another six months, so he's off the table. Not sure where to go from here with AHFO at this point. Before the main event, FTR laid out an open challenge for Dynamite; I thought of having the Briscoes answer it cold, but to hype it up, I'll have them debut after the match and challenge FTR. This makes sense IMO, with the ROH purchase. Plus, Penta/Pac challenged House of Black to a match on Dynamite. Not sure whether it'll be a tag/singles at this point. I think I'll have Fenix come back in an angle and have the trios match between the two sides for the St. Patrick's Slam edition of Dynamite Hangman Page retained over Jon Moxley As mentioned before, Cole went down with a torn quad, so Mox was the replacement. Pleasantly surprised here; the match got an 83, and they had good chemistry. This was a "passing of the torch", in a way, as beating Mox firmly solidifies Page's place atop the card. Not sure who's next in line, given Cole's injury and it feels too soon for Punk. As for Mox, he'll shift his focus back to Danielson's pitch for an alliance; they'll finally have their match on the St. Patrick's Day Slam edition of Dynamite. Overall, this was the best show of the save so far, dating back to October/when I started it. (It's October data and I started it in December.) It drew a 72 rating, slightly up from Full Gear's 69 rating, and it drew more buys.
  4. Solid card for the Hammerstein show! 1. Grab the Brass Ring Ladder Match: AJ Gray vs Calvin Tankman vs Gringo Loco vs Thunder Rosa vs Effy vs Jimmy Lloyd 2. Pan Afrikan Diaspora Title Match: Trish Adora © vs Nyla Rose 3. GCW Streaming Stars Inter-Gender Title: Cardonas (Matt Cardona/Chelsea Green) vs ??? (w/ Joey Janela) 4. 3 Way Tag Dance: Alex Zayne/Blake Christian vs Rejects vs H8 Club 5. GCW Extreme Title Match: Tony Deppen © vs Myron Reed vs Shane "Swerve" Strickland 6. GCW Ultraviolent Title Match: Alex Colon © vs ??? 7. GCW Tag Title Match: Briscoes © vs Pretty Boy Killers 8. GCW World Title Match: Jon Moxley© vs Homicide
  5. I really like this idea, and I'll roll with it, thanks! The explanation makes perfect sense. KOR is a tough dude so I could see him working through it. Plus, assuming I have the Bucks win the other battle royale, it would set up a tease of the eventual Bucks vs. reDRagon match/Fish and KOR would have an easy excuse for their loss.
  6. I'm not seeing companies sign a lot of guys; I've several months into an AEW save with October 2021 data, and a bunch of ex-WWE stars who should get signed elsewhere (they have got ratings/popularity etc) by IMPACT etc are sitting in free agency. Is there a way to fix that in the game settings or something?
  7. I posted about this in the "What's Going on in Your Game?" thread, but I'm so stumped that I'd like to hear what others think about how to handle the situation: I caught up to real life/I booked this past week's episode of Dynamite, with the tag team battle royale. O'Reilly and Fish won in IRL and in the game, but in my save, O'Reilly broke his jaw during the match! The broken jaw injury means that O'Reilly can keep wrestling despite being hurt, but A) it's a broken jaw, I wouldn't feel right sending him out there with an injury like that and B) I worry it'd affect the match rating. To be fair, Revolution is stacked enough that I could get away with a lower score in this match, but still.... If I pull O'Reilly (and Fish) from the match, I'm not sure how to replace them. I'm leaning toward finding a way to have the Young Bucks take the spot; they were the last eliminated etc., and this would help further their brewing rivalry. --- Not sure what to do here. Having The Bucks blatantly abuse their power would be tough because IRL, Tony Khan would probably stop them. I thought about doing a tag team match with the last few teams from the first battle royale, maybe a gauntlet match, but when what would I do about the second battle royale, which is set for Dynamite? That seems redundant, to do another tag-based match on the same show....
  8. This has turned into the most challenging combination of obstacles I've ever faced in TEW lol. I caught up to real life/I booked this past week's episode of Dynamite, with the tag team battle royale. As for the world title, I wound up going with my gut and having Moxley replace Cole for Revolution. I've kept the build going for his alliance(?) with Danielson, with the wrinkle that he's focusing on the title for now. I'll shift gears and have them have a match soon after the PPV. But Danielson needed a match for the PPV, with Mox off the table, so I stayed with the pattern of Danielson facing renowned wrestlers. After his match with Daniel Garcia on Dynamite, he made it clear that he's the best in the world (planting the seed for a Punk match) and dared anybody who disagreed to step up. This prompted ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham to confront him at the end of the show, setting the stage for an interpromotional match at the PPV.
  9. Cody Rhodes vs. Miro Tay Conti vs. Jade Cargill The Factory (Nick Comoroto & Aaron Solow) vs. Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus
  10. That's a good option. In the game, Miro is healthy, but I'm trying to keep it as grounded in reality as possible, so I'm not sure about using him here when he hasn't been on TV in months. Plus, I wouldn't want to bring him in just to take a loss like that. Though the twist of fate of getting a title match, only to lose it, would help his whole "Man vs. God" storyline he has going....
  11. Over the last few weeks, I've been recreating the results/trying to catch up to real-life so I can book AEW Revolution card myself. I started with October 2021 data and things have been going well, but a huge wrench got thrown into my plans. At AEW Dynamite: Beach Break, Adam Cole went down with a torn quad. The initial estimate was that he'd be out for a year, but thankfully, surgery shortened the time to six months. Still, I have to pivot the plan for the world title match at Revolution. I'm thinking of rolling with Jon Moxley. Given how he had to leave the World Title Eliminator Tournament, that's a fairly easy setup. I thought of MJF, but I don't want to feed him to Page here. Jericho also crossed my mind, but I want to roll with him vs. Kingston for the PPV. The injury also derails the Undisputed Era vs. Elite feud that had been brewing, which is a bit of a bummer, but honestly, these curveballs are my favorite part of the game. IRL AEW just announced Rosa vs. Baker for the PPV. I was hoping to hold off on that until Double or Nothing somehow. Contemplating bringing in Mickie James for a title vs. title crossover feud with Baker leading to an inter-promotional match at the PPV.

  16. Loving this as much as ever! Really captures the spirit of AEW, IMO. Bryan Danielson vs. Kenny Omega: DRAW Very curious to see how you book this one. Will you roll with the draw as they dd IRL? A loss would shatter Omega's confidence, which could have some interesting consequences.... Paul Wight vs. MJF In the words of MJF, Wight winning would be "muh-muh-muh-MID" lol. NWA WORLD WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP: Thunder Rosa © vs. Leyla Hirsch I could see Hirsch winning, but my money's on Rosa.
