1. Title reminds me of the AWA World title. And that's not a bad things...that's a good thing.
 2. This is exactly what Vince has always done though with a few exceptions. Diesel got over by being a cool, tough badarse. He goes face and gets the belt and suddenly he is smiling and high fiving the fans, getting sparkle light entrances, having a fan club, etc. People wonder why his title reign wasn't that great. If the character he became in 1996 in the WWF and ultimately WCW had been the one who held the strap for 1995 it would have been much much better.
 3. Yeah I don't think it makes him a crybaby to want compensation of some sort for getting punched twice by a professional wrestler for doing nothing on national television.
 4.

http://www.24wrestling.com/victim-of-cm-punk-attack-not-pressing-charges/

Good news, looks like this guy has enough class and compassion to know it was all a misunderstanding and not press charges, unlike most people in this country. Gotta feel bad for him though, being struck by your idol, all because some asshole was trying to push him down the steps and Punk mistook the innocent guy closest behind him for it.

If the kid really is a huge CM Punk fan I bet Punk and WWE can make his world an awesome place.

I wish it would happen to me. I wouldn't want a dime from them but I'd ask to let me access their picture vault and have digitals of classic photos from the WWF, WCW and ECW in the late 90s! I'd sign something never to resell the images just want them for TEW!

 5. So I don't watch Raw anymore so I had no idea what was going on. When I logged onto CNN this morning it was one of their top stories and I laughed out loud literally. I thought to myself "WWE trolled CNN hahaha!" Then I found out it was real. I can't believe it. I hope Lawler is alright.
 6. I'm just stating a fact. I don't watch the show so I'm not criticizing the product.
 7. Which they won't do since Vince has reportedly wanted to take wrestling out of their name entirely. I don't believe anywhere on their website, including the corporate site, you will ever see the company referred to as "World Wrestling Entertainment." They rebranded to just be "WWE." I remember reading that they don't want it said on tv either. In their recent investors call both Vince and the other guy on the call dismissed the idea that they were a wrestling company, calling them a variety show. They only want the logo and acronym to make money on archive footage.
 8. Of course he says that. All wrestling history is now filtered through Vince. There is no way Big Show did better work than The Giant did. The Giant was MEGA OVER from 1996-1998 with WCW. His stuff with Luger is some of the best stuff he ever did and his feud with Kevin Nash was the hottest he ever got. He would walk out to no music and the crowd would erupt. His in ring work was much better as he was in much better physical condition. He was doing drop kicks and dives. He may have been pushed too fast in 1995, but by 1996 he was very effective. When he started choking out Hogan because he wanted his title shot before the nWo gang beating him the crowd loved him.
 9. His problems allegedly were from after Foley retiring feeling threatened if Foley came back on tv and popped ratings. There have long been reports that HHH worked behind the scenes to downplay Foley's contributions and sabotage his tv returns, even going so far as to try to convince McMahon not rehire him at various points post-retirement. Whether any of that is true is obviously hard to prove.
 10. There have been reports for years that Triple H doesn't like when Vince brings Foley to tv.
 11. Don't believe him. Savage's official webpage openly campaigned for him to be elected to the HOF (savage actually had influence on the webpage.)
 12. I think most people would agree that Jarrett is a good worker and if he had been an upper midcard, occasional main event level worker most of his career people probably would have no problem with him. I like you have considered myself a fan. I loved his work in the WWF in the later part of the 90s. The man was a heat magnet during his stuff with X-Pac and then the woman beater angle lol. I even liked him in WCW. He just isn't a guy who should be a 10 time world champion and he certainly should never be a guy who a company is built around.
 13. Not really true. It was meant as a running joke, a caricature of JR. The real reason it was offensive is because it was WCW that did it and to the WWE audience anything that another promotion does that is either illogical or in poor taste is bad. If the E does the same thing there's nothing said.
 14. Ah I would have watched had I known Vader was going to be on.
 15. I don't watch TNA and I have no interest in their fate anymore. That said, if WWE was ever held to the same standards that people hold their competition it would be out of business.
 16.
Complaints against TNA's HOF are either that they have only been around 10 years or that they don't have anyone worthy of induction.

The WWF started the HOF in the early 1990s, at time when they had basically only existed since the early 1980s. (The WWF of Vince McMahon rarely acknowledged the fact that they existed prior to Hulkamania, and even less so the idea of the WWWF.) WCW also had a HOF in the mid 90s.

Also, the WWF HOF is full of wrestlers and promoters who didn't work for them, some who hated the WWF and wanted it put out of business. There are plenty of people TNA can induct.

Lastly, TNA can induct guys based on their WCW/NWA careers as well. TNA is the logical survivor of WCW, even if the two promotions aren't related. Sting being inducted makes total sense.

 17. I try not to get too bent up about WWE's "historical review" of WCW as it has been hot garbage for the most part, but some of that list bothered me lol. Dennis Rodman on the list? at 48? Ahead of Juvi and Jarrett? I think that tells you how Vince feels about those two knuckleheads. Dustin Rhodes and Kevin Sullivan in the low 40s? WCW didn't begin in July 1996 despite what a lot of people want to believe today. Sullivan and Rhodes were major parts of WCW. Ron Simmons is at #16? Because he won the world title in the early 90s? Simmons was a favorite of Bill Watts, but there is no way he is higher on the list of WCW's stars than Barry Windham, Dustin Rhodes and Kevin Sullivan.
 18. Hash for sure on New Japan. He's an acquired taste but he's awesome.
 19. Ah how could you not like Ray Traylor!!!?? I never got why his popularity waned so badly at the end of his WCW run. Guy was a big body who could wrestle and looked like a legit tough guy. Nasty Boys for me. I went from being mildly entertained by them as a kid to outright hating them on my television. Now I really appreciate how good they were.
 20. Mo Lawal just signed with Bellator. He's also signed a deal with TNA and will work as a crossover performer, appearing with TNA beginning in the summer.
 21.
No post on this yet...

King Mo has signed on with Bellator and TNA and will appear with TNA in the summer.

 22. But you don't pay them the same. The New Age Outlaws moved merchandise at an incredible rate during the attitude era but were never paid individually like Austin or Rock.
