  1. Also dude, can you tell me the font you used in the title of your main gfx "Wrestling Timeline 1986"
  2. If you give me a list or your data when you have a chance I'll focus on your files.
  3. Hope someone uses them lol! Wasn't sure if anyone even still plays mods GDS seems so less active than it used to be in the old days.
  4. Here are samples: Belts: Events: For Events I either used old ads and cleaned them up or recreated with the intent but blended the CVerse style backgrounds to make them more visually appealing. Promotions: For promotions I try to get you alternate options (see AWA) as well as logo changes through the 90s. Using DOTT and Risky Business, I have every promotion through like 1999 covered. Stables: For Stables I looked at either old magazine pictures or tshirts as most of them didn't have "logos." I tried to copy the original "spirit" of the stable from those type of sources if there isn't a picture to use. Broadcaster: Broadcasters probably the least important, but I tried to go back and find logos through the 80s. TV: Here is my new main screen when viewed in 1985: (includes new WrestleWar picture) Worker Samples: I do kayfabe the cut size a bit by trying to make the giants look bigger in the images. However, I stuck with Gaz's lines as best possible while still making the picture look good. Some guys have small bits of their heads cut off because of picture angles or because the source was too bad for me to recreate the top of their head.
  5. I will be uploading this file this week. I will be continuing to update it of course, but I feel it's in a good place to use with either the Risky Business mod or the DOTT mod that are on here. I've gone to painstaking effort to get images that are era appropriate and have done a ton of touch ups, colorization, photo correction, etc. This first version will have 1200 pictures that were done exclusively for the 1980s timeframe and another 800 or so that are future workers. My naming scheme: - The main pic for a worker will be somewhere close to 1985. - Additional pics will end with a year if I know the year (so Tully Blanchard.88 for example) or just use a number if I don't know for 100% certainty what year it was from. Why do I name that way? - It makes plug and play with mods easier as you mass edit to name.gif (like I did with DOTT and Risky Business for my own use). And then you can easily do agers with the files that have a year on them. -This also makes it easier to update it for other mods as you can look at a 95 mod for example and find a pic with a 95 date on it. - As long as @gazwefc83 doesn't mind, I will include his company logos in my upload so the pack is complete. - I've also updated some belts, but not all of them. Only NWA, AWA, WWF and MACW belts. - I've done a small handful of events for AWA, WWF, NWA, JCP. - I've done a small number of broadcasters (TBS, MTV, ESPN) - I've done a few tv shows to replace old ones cut years ago. I've used remini to improve picture quality. - I've done a small number of new narratives One thing I've taken away on events, broadcasters, etc. is the border. All of the skins now have borders in them, so the border on the actual picture just operates as a double border. I think it looks cleaner now. I'll post some examples in another post in a moment.
  6. I'll upload this week. The newsletter is above, I used PWI for the magazine when it switches to that and I have loading screens based on old wrestlings mags and "card" ads. No wrestler pictures in anything as I don't like that personally.
  7. This has probably been suggested a million times, but I think it's probably easy enough to add still to the current version. Would be great to be able to sign highlights deals that work like tour tv deals do. Only can give tiny pop boosts to workers or companies but can generate revenue. This was a big part of the WWF expansion and they've been on air since the 80s.
  8. I know this went away in the mid 90s for the most part, but up until then it was common for companies to have deals for specific events. Right now SNME, MSG shows, Clash of the Champions, etc. there's no way to force the AI to broadcast those on specific deals. SNME can end up on ppv every month. Just in the 80s alone, WWF had deals to broadcast MSG once a month, MTV had exclusive rights to I think two broadcasts, SNME obviously NBC, etc. We can't assign "event" deals to events specifically, so in the editor if you give WWF a ppv deal they'll put all events on that instead any broadcast agreement. This seems like an easy adjustment to do for the current game? It wouldn't be REQUIRED, you could still leave the option to have no specific event, but definitely should be able to assign a broadcasting deal to a specific event.
  9. Genuinely very excited for this particularly because you’re doing it from scratch. A lot of mods now are carrying legacy decisions from mods made years ago. Big tip: Stan Hansen was the best brawler in the world and is why he was the top guy in Japan and Brody was never that good.
  10. Would like some mass edit start dates to make it easier to move contracts back or forward when modding off of a set. EIther "set start date to..." or "move start date back 1 year"
  11. I'm working on a skin pack based off the Dark Arber screen. This would just be new web screens and loading screens. It's designed to have a RW 80s and 90s vibe. Here's look at the replacement for "Newsletter" Thoughts and any interest?
  12. Big Match Worker: Opposite of Canny Operator I suppose? Real life example was Kerry Von Erich who had a reputation for showing out big time for big main events. It isn't to say they are lazy on other shows, but they find another gear for big shows. Perhaps a slight bonus if booked in a main event or a match with the "once in a life time" or "steal the show" road agent note?
  13. See Jaysin's response. Historical mods are very difficult to put together correctly now because the current system doesn't make even a passable attempt at giving us options to replicate old time periods. In the 1980s it was almost unheard of for a Japanese company to sign an American worker to any sort of exclusive contract for multiple years. Stan Hansen was the biggest, most over gaijin in Japan for nearly two decades and was never under any sort of multi-year exclusive deal. Most NON star Americans signed up to work tours which was replicated in the last game by "touring" contracts. We lost that for this version so now if a guy like Rob Van Damn is signed by AJPW (which he was in real life to work several tours) he's going to sign a 3 year written exclusive deal. Stan Hansen is unavailable except on trading deals which are much harder to pull off and much more limited (and also requires you to send someone to Japan to get jobbed out.) Abdullah the Butcher is going to work AJPW and never do his hits in Puerto Rico. Etc. etc.
  14. I like the slice! It gives room for the promotion logo to be in that corner which is extra nice when you do stables. I have come to no longer like the nGo style (that I originated so not knocking anyone else!) of being super zoomed in and tight against the borders. I really like the clean looks this gives and it gives more room for art. I've also done a lot of work restoring old pics to make them better quality.
  15. I've been working on this for awhile and have now got a pack of about 1100 pics done that I use with a modified version of the 1985 mod. I'm curious if anyone is interested in these? I have all promotions done through like 1992 (used Gaz's stuff as well) but redid the pic pack from scratch. I am missing maybe 500 workers at this point from 1985 through 2000. Here are samples:
  16. I feel like this is a simple change. Currently there is a rule that prohibits a company from hiring foreign workers. With the removal of the touring contracts we lost the ability to block a company from hiring tour regulars, etc. I would suggest a small addition: No foreign workers on written contracts. This would allow Japanese companies to sign guys that wouldn't be locked in for 3 years.
  17. I need some help translating Japanese text for a mod. Does anyone read Japanese? It's identifying individuals. Unfortunately all the apps I've tried don't recognize the text.
  18. Thank you! I just picked this up after a crazy length of time away from the series and the format is hard for me to adjust to. I feel old!
  19. This has been brought up on two versions I think so it's probably this way for a reason, but... It's annoying that if you are owned by a media group that does NOT have a ppv company under it's umbrella, you simply can't negotiate a ppv deal. This is not reflected in real life at all of course as ppv in the USA is distributed by a small handful of companies including one that was jointly owned by many media groups for most of the 90s and early 2000s. As WCW for example, if you are owned by TBS or TimeWarner, you can't get on Viewer's Choice (or DirecTV) which means you can never air on PPV. I would propose that your media group would ONLY block distribution if they also own a PPV provider.
  20. See link below. This is an updated version of the original gif version of nGo in the Gaz cut style that I personally loved. I've included hundreds of new cuts I made from 94-2001ish (my usual time frame) including super rare images like The Gambler. Justtxyank's updated GazGif nGo File
  21. Ah! I have the file Gaz made plus my hundreds of additions. Will upload.
