  1.

Back on topic though, using 1 minute/minor angles is very key to maintaining a crowd without burning them out (with a full 5+ minute promo that scores in the 90+) or killing it with an intentional filler match (the bathroom break).

I'm pretty sure angles under four minutes or minor angles have no impact on crowd management

  2. I understand that at Tiny size there are no penalties for not pre-booking. Are there benefits to doing it anyway other than being in the habit of doing it when you rise to the point that you would be penalized?

Yes, you can get a boost to your attendance if you pre-book a particularly strong card. It will tell you on the pre-booking screen.

The standard length of the angle I think. 5 minutes.

You might have avoided the penalty with four minutes or less. Check the "angles" section in the handbook for how long angles can run for depeding on the categories they are rated on.

  3. Ok quick question about perspective, as I thought I had this game figured out for mod making, but apparently not!!

So I am looking at 5SSW, and when I have them 57 over everywhere in Japan, 63 over home area of Kansai they have multiple wrestlers seen as "stars"

When I lower company over to 37 everywhere, 63 over home area, they have no stars at all, they are lowered to "well known"

anyone know why that is? I just assumed 1) lower popularity of company would increase perception if anything. and 2) that the main figure would be home area of Kansai anyway?

Both sizes are still medium, but I'm wondering if the higher number in other areas means perception is based on average across Japan, but when lower it's just based on Kansai?

Per the handbook, perception is based on the popularity in the promotion's home region and any other region where the popularity isn't more than six pop points less than the home region.

So, it could be that the wrestlers aren't as popular in Kansai as in the other regions, which would change their perception to well known.

  4. I don't think that there are any negatives to overlapping coverage.

However, you will not be able to select both broadcasters if either of them has exclusive coverage rights to your footage.

None of them do, so I guess I'll try for my next show.

It's just that I remember reading somewhere that it's not a good idea because both broadcasters would "steal" each other's viewers and so would actually lower the viewership numbers. I searched and I couldn't find anything about it, though.

  5. I mean it isn't wrong per se. I don't know what the AI should do or not, but I would look at it as the alliance protecting it's self from the champ just walking out with the belt

Yeah, I guess you could look at it like that. And it's not that I don't like the challenge of my champions being poached by bigger promotions. I just found it weird that the AI immediately vacated the belt when it's usually intelligent enough to have the champion lose the belt to someone else before they leave. At least with non-alliance titles.

  6. Playing as CZCW in the default database, our COTT World Heavyweight champion got signed to an exclusive written deal by TCW.

Said wrestler has "per show" deals with OLLIE (handshake) and me (written). Those deals end after both companies' next shows. In fact, there are four shows left in total with OLLIE and CZCW where the champion could be booked to lose the title.

However, for some reason the AI decided to vacate the belt and I was wondering why that is.

I'm inclined to post this in the tech support section, but perhaps somebody has a good explanation on why this happens.

  7. if i understand correctly ... you have to go to the 'King Of New York' event and put the AI instructions to none instead of 'Main Event is Battle Royal'

then make the 'King Of New York' battle royal title considered as achievement and as annual competition and make it being held at your 'King Of New York' event.

Thanks for pointing this out. That's exactly what I'm going to do, although it doesn't ensure that the King Of New York title match is the main event, does it?

  8. Unfortunately Genadi has already given permission to somebody else to convert this mod so my version wont be released.

Wait, so he has allowed someone to put the mod through the converter and release it without any further changes but he's not allowing you to do the exact same thing?

  9. Moved to correct forum.

The order is dependent on the star power of the participants. What you've described is working correctly, and I am happy that it makes logical sense that a company should and would prioritise the more marketable main event in that situation. I have no plans to change it.

Okay, maybe I wasn't clear enough.

My issue is not that the game puts the match with the most star power as the main event. This makes perfect sense.

My issue is that the King Of New York show is supposed to have the "King Of New York" battle royal as the main event (hence the AI instruction for that show), but it doesn't, because it apparently doesn't put the wrestlers with the most star power into that match.

This leads to an issue where the King Of New York battle royal is not the main event - instead it's another battle royal.

This doesn't make sense and is an obvious glitch, which is why I posted this thread in the technical forum.

  10. NYCW held their annual "The King Of New York" show with its battle royal to crown the King Of New York.

The AI instruction for the event is "Main Event is battle royal".

But instead of putting the King Of New York battle royal as the main event, NYCW put the match as the semi-main and held another battle royal as the main event.

I know technically it's working correctly, but I'm sure it's not meant to work that way.

Is there anything you can do to make sure the battle royal that main events the show is the King Of New York title match?

  11. We should be able to remove pre-booked segments on the day of the show. There are plenty of times in real world mods where workers aren't able to appear because they suddenly have to work another show, but if they're prebooked and you don't realize it until the day of the show, you end up getting penalized because you can't remove it. Either the penalty have an option to be turned off, or we should be able to remove pre-booked segments on the night of a show.

I disagree. You can already check the calendar in the events section of your office so if you pay attention, you know who's available and who might not be available on your show.

So, if you pre-book a segment and the worker isn't available, it's entirely your fault because you didn't check beforehand. That's part of the fun of the pre-booking feature.

Plus, you can already turn pre-booking off if you wish.
