  1. TNA has secured a 9 month contract with Urban America to not only televise all big events but also to televise the television program TNA Fury! The show will be taped on Wednesday nights and will air on Thursday afternoon. In further news, TNA ownership has announced an 8 man TNA X-Division Title Tournament and an 8 team TNA Tag Team Title Tournament, both to start on this weeks episode of TNA Fury! The next 2 weeks of TNA Fury! will have 2 quarterfinal matches in each tournament, and the 3rd week of TNA Fury! will have the semifinals of each tournament. Here are the quarterfinal pairings: TNA X-Division Title Tournament Chris Sabin vs. Elix Skipper Ron Killings vs. Kid Kash AJ Styles vs. Sonjay Dutt 2 Cold Scorpio vs. Super Crazy **Super Crazy was just signed to a handshake agreement** TNA Tag Team Title Tournament 3 Live Kru (Konnan and BG James) vs. Disciples of the New Church (Sinn and Slash) America's Most Wanted vs. Samoan Connection (Sonny Siaki and Ekmo) The New Franchise vs. Triple X (Chris Daniels and Low-Ki) The Gathering (CM Punk and Julio Dinero) vs. Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger I am going to run a prediction contest that will be broken down into 2 separate contests each year: January-June and July-December. I'm still working on prizes and in addition to some of the special events I have, I'm considering doing a team challenge series for one of the 6 month periods. So here's what we're gonna do to kick this prediction contest off. For each of the 2 tournaments, please tell me who you think the 2 finalists will be (2 points each) and the winner (6 points). So you can get a total of 10 points for each tournament in addition to the regular event predictions. This is a great way to jump ahead. So get those predictions in.
  2. NWA/TNA Hard Luck Sunday, Week 1, 2004 A La Carte Event Pavillion- Tampa, FL Show Announcers: Mike Tenay and Don West Show Attendance: 1,655 Final Show Rating: 60 -- This is actually the format I'll be using for the tv shows, not the big events or PPVs (when we actually get a PPV contract). I just wanted to use this format for this show because I wanted to get it in today. -- Unfortunately the news on D'Lo Brown is not good. He suffered a Torn Achilles in his match and will have surgery. He is expected to be out 8 months, a big blow. -- Ken Shamrock is not happy that I booked CM Punk and AJ Styles to go over him and Roddy Piper. The reasoning is quite simple: Shamrock signed an exclusive written contract with NJPW and will be leaving the company in a month. With Piper being an occasional wrestler, it didn't make sense to have him and Shamrock win, especially with Punk and Styles having a world of potential. -- The crowning of Jerry Lynn as TNA champion (not NWA, just TNA, the NWA title is currently vacant), might surprise some, but Lynn is a guy that I think has worked his butt off in his career, and I think he deserved a title run. Don't know how long it'll be, but he definitely deserved to be on top for a while anyways. -- Speaking of the difference between the NWA and TNA titles, NWA/TNA is part of the NWA alliance with several other companies. The NWA title is an alliance title, and I wanted NWA/TNA to have their own set of titles. It might be easier to leave the NWA alliance, but it will be beneficial based on some things I have planned. In fact, while we will remain in the NWA alliance, we are dropping the NWA/TNA name and will just be known as Total Nonstop Action going forward.
  3. haven't read all the way through yet, but WCW was my favorite wrestling company. I legit got depressed when they shut down, so this dynasty is definitely going to be in the mix that I read. It's nice to see someone else that doesn't necessarily do graphics in their dynasty. Most of mine have been very short lived with little or no graphics. Keep up the good work!
  4. I've never used Imgur before, don't know much about it actually. How does it work compared to Photobucket? Can you walk me through? I'm going to run NWA/TNA Hard Luck tomorrow, but it won't have graphics.
  5. It was Jan. 2004, and the time was right for TNA to make the jump to television. The weekly PPVs just weren't enough. The fans wanted more. I will be running this dynasty as myself, from my point of view. It will be the same as all my other dynasties, and I hope to have graphics up soon. Right now I'm in a fight with photobucket about being able to use their site, so if anybody knows a quick easy way to do graphics, let me know. I have vacated all titles, storylines, stables, etc. I will be looking for a tv contract as soon as possible, but first I have an event schedule for Sun. Week 1 of January. It will be called TNA Hard Luck. It will be the equivalent of the old WCW Battlebowl. I'll have 40 wrestlers drawn at random for 10 tag team matches. The winners of the tag matches will advance to a 20 man battle royal. The winner of the battle royal will be the new TNA champion. I'm not going to reveal the roster because I'm making changes to it. I hope to have TNA Hard Luck posted tomorrow or Tuesday. Stay tuned!
  6. Well, I now have 3 that are insisting I stick with this dynasty, so I'll give it another chance. The next show will be up maybe today, maybe tomorrow. Here's the match card: National Openweight Tournament Group B Match Sam Houston vs. Tom Zenk Comments: National Openweight Tournament Group B Match Jacques Rougeau vs. Billy Gunn Comments: Kansas Openweight Tournament Group B Match Marty Jannetty vs. Chris Kanyon Comments: Kansas Openweight Tournament Group B Match Scotty Riggs vs. Tim Storm Comments: KCW Tag Team Title Tournament Group B Match The American Patriots vs. The Skyscrapers Comments: KCW Tag Team Title Tournament Group B Match Kid Kash and Paul Roma vs. Ice Train and Tony Norris Comments: Again, no official prediction contest right now, but anybody that wants to predict is more than welcome to.
  7. So I've heard from one person that thinks I should definitely get back to this dynasty. What do some of you others think? Stick with this or start fresh with something?
  8. I'm glad to see you have so much faith in me that you think I would start a new dynasty and give up quickly. My reputation precedes me lol. I do have a bad habit of starting over quickly.
  9. Just wanted to update everyone on why there hasn't been any action in this dynasty for a while. In short, I've been dealing with an illness. Yes, sadly I tested positive for the Rona a few weeks ago. Mild symptoms, but symptoms that just wouldn't go away. Fortunately I'm expected to make a full recovery. I'm on the mend and seriously considering what to do. I doubt I resume this project. It just wasn't going the way I wanted. Everything I want to do is already being done (current AEW, NXT, NWA) and anything WCW. So I need to weigh my options. I'd like to start with a fairly big company, whatever I do. I want to do things like Battlebowl/Lethal Lottery, Young Lions Tournament, KOTR. Restarting with NXT but NOT doing the ranking system like i was doing seems to be my strongest bet. Or maybe I'll try AEW. I'm open to ideas.

  11. Here's the match card for the next show. If you want to make predictions, great. I'm not doing an official prediction contest right now, but those that do predict will be eligible for some kind of prize no matter what, as I appreciate it. National Openweight Tournament Group A Match Samoan Savage vs. Butch Reed Comments: National Openweight Tournament Group A Match Norman the Lunatic vs. Devon Hughes Comments: Kansas Openweight Tournament Group A Match Bobby Walker vs. Glenn Jacobs Comments: Kansas Openweight Tournament Group A Match Alex Wright vs. Big Vito Comments: KCW Tag Team Title Tournament Group A Match New York Connection vs. Catastrophe (Hardy and Helms) Comments: KCW Tag Team Title Tournament Group A Match The Holly Cousins vs. Public Enemy Comments: I plan on running this show either tomorrow night or Tuesday afternoon, depending on how my day goes tomorrow. Hope you're all enjoying.
  12. Weekly News and Notes -- It looks like WCW is going to pick on KCW every chance they get, as Marty Jannetty has signed an exclusive deal with WCW. That makes both him and Sid Vicious that are expected to leave within the next 30 days. How will the KCW brass handle their spots in their respective tournaments? Only time will tell. -- The KCW brass are taking it in stride and have already made several new hires that will be debuting sometime this month. No names have been revealed yet, but we understand that one of the hires is a very popular, experienced tag team that will really excite the fans. -- 2 companies are making headlines right now, but in the wrong way. First we start with Pro Wrestling America. After a disagreement with legend Terry Funk over money and paying on time, Funk no-showed a PWA event this week and walked out on the company. Definitely not the way you want to treat a legend in the business. -- While being the top company in the United States, the World Wrestling Federation is definitely not making any friends right now. In the past week alone, 3 companies have cut ties with the WWF and look to be ready to go to war with them. 2 of the companies, Smoky Mountain Wrestling and the United States Wrestling Association, have had working agreements with the WWF for some time now. Things could get very interesting here.

  14. <p><p>Here's the match card for the next show. I am not going to do an official prediction contest right now. If you want to predict, great, I'll definitely appreciate it and reward you for it. Until I get people predicting regularly, I'm going to go at my own pace, which means shows may come out faster than normal. Generally it could be the same day that I reveal the match card, or the next day. We'll see. Thanks for your predictions on the last show theheel. Hopefully there will be more. 15. <p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Weekly News and Notes</span></strong></p><p> </p><p></p><p> -- <strong>Marty Jannetty</strong> showed up at last weeks show under the influence of alcohol. It appears he could be on the chopping block soon.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> -- KCW could be on the verge of losing arguably their biggest star. <strong>Sid Vicious</strong> has signed an exclusive written contract with WCW. At this time, he is still able to wrestle in KCW, but we expect that to change very soon. For now, he will remain in the tournament scene in KCW.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> -- Speaking of the tournament scene, the fans voiced their opinions, and KCW listened! 16. Is there a way to see if a wrestler works better as a face or heel? In my current save, I have over 75% of the roster that is either 100% heel or works better as a heel. I need to hire some more workers that work better as a face, and I'd like to also hire some workers that can work evenly as a face or heel. How can I determine this before actually hiring a worker?

  18. If anybody wants to predict, do so now because there is a good chance I run this show TONIGHT. Or maybe I just scrap prediction contests for a while. I have definitely come to the conclusion that I have a hard time making my mind up on what to do and then sticking with it. I'm hoping I can make this one last a little while.
  19. I will be running the initial KCW show on Monday or Tuesday (hopefully Monday, depending on how predictions go) Each show will have 6 matches for right now, at least through pool play. Here's a look at the line-up for the first show: National Openweight Tournament Group A Match Samoan Savage vs. Norman the Lunatic Comments: National Openweight Tournament Group A Match Butch Reed vs. Devon Hughes Comments: Kansas Openweight Tournament Group A Match Bobby Walker vs. Alex Wright Comments: Kansas Openweight Tournament Group A Match Glenn Jacobs vs. Big Vito Comments: KCW Tag Team Tournament Group A Match The New York Connection vs. The Holly Cousins Comments: KCW Tag Team Tournament Group B Match Matt Hardy and Shane Helms vs. Public Enemy Comments: General Dynasty Comments: Also, as always feel free to pick the finalists and winner of each of the tournaments. 2 points each per finalist, 6 points for the winner. You can rack up some major points right off the bat. I'll give it a couple days, see if I get some predictions, then go from there.
  20. For right now, we will have 3 titles. All 28 active members of the roster have been entered into a tournament. Those tournaments will take place over the next few live shows. The titles KCW will start with are: National Openweight Title (this will be the premier title of KCW) Kansas Openweight Title (this would be equivalent to the IC title, or TV title even) KCW Tag Team Titles (because you gotta have tag team wrestling) There will be 8 participants in each of the National Openweight and Kansas Openweight Title Tournaments. 2 groups of 4, round robin, everyone wrestles 3 matches. Top 2 advance to semifinals. Group A winner faces Group B runner up, Group B winner faces Group A runner-up. Let's take a look at the participants in those tournaments. National Openweight Tournament Group A Samoan Savage Norman the Lunatic Butch Reed Devon Hughes (aka D-Von Dudley) Group B Sam Houston Sid Vicious Jacques Rougeau Billy Gunn Is it a given that Butch Reed vs. Sid Vicious will be the National Openweight Tournament final? Who knows. Kansas Openweight Tournament Group A Bobby Walker Alex Wright Glenn Jacobs (Kane) Big Vito Group B Marty Jannetty Scotty Riggs Chris Kanyon Tim Storm As you can see, this has more of a Television Title tournament feel. However, in an insignificant company, any of these guys can end up being major stars. Now we move to the KCW Tag Team Tournament. My hope was to have 8 tag teams for it. I just couldn't come up with 2 more. I already had to makeshift 3 of the 6 teams. This tournament will also be round robin. Only difference is each team will only get 2 matches before bracket play. It'll still be top 2 advancing. The bottom team in each group will also face each other at a later date. KCW Tag Team Title Tournament Group A The New York Connection (Glenn Gilberti and Johnny Swinger) The Holly Cousins (Bob and Crash Holly) Ice Train and Tony Norris (aka Ahmed Johnson) Group B Matt Hardy and Shane Helms Public Enemy Kid Kash and Paul Roma This tournament feels much more wide open. Keep in mind this mod is from 1993, so guys like Matt Hardy, Shane Helms, Tony Norris haven't hit their peak yet. So it'll be very interesting to see how it plays out. I like my initial roster, I like the tournaments, and I'm excited to get going.
  21. I gotta tell ya, it was tough going through the unemployment market to get enough quality guys for the initial roster. At the same time, there were quite a few guys that I was shocked to find that weren't working at the moment. I definitely think I got some steals. We'll be starting with 28 active wrestlers, plus 1 that is on the injured list right now. I've also got a couple quality referees, 3 quality road agents, and a..... decent announce team. To say that I'm not so happy with the quality of the announce team would be an understatement. I'll reveal the non-wrestlers at a later date. There are 2 major problems right now. About half my active roster is mildly negative influence backstage. I'm not so worried about that right now, but I'm definitely looking to change that. The more pressing issue is that I don't have very many guys that can play the babyface role. Out of the 28 active wrestlers, only about 10 are good at playing the babyface role. However, if you caught what I said, only the initial roster came from the unemployment market. Now that I've got it, I'll be scouring other feds to try to sign guys to handshake deals. I have shortlisted several promotions that I'd like to take guys from, specifically once their contract is close to ending. Now from the business side of things, being a new, insignificant company has caused 2 major issues. First, no other company is willing to join our alliance. This is critical because when I do special events, I'm hoping to take champions from these other companies to participate. Specifically something I like to call World Cup of Wrestling (very similar to TNA's World X-Cup), as well as Young Lions Tournament and a Tag Team tournament that is yet to be named. Hopefully once we increase in size, I'll at least be able to get talent trade deals with some companies. The biggest issue is no television. Not one broadcaster will do business with us right now, not even the broadcasters like YouTube (did they even have YouTube back in 1993 *shrugs*). So.. for now, all our events will be live events that will be taped and put on DVD (or VHS, I'm definitely showing my age, I can't even remember what the heck we had in 1993). So my announcing team should at least get some practice before we get on tv, whenever that is. Because of this, I'm going to bi-weekly events. They will be included in the prediction contest, since it's unlikely I'll be having tv with a big event at the end of the month anytime soon. So instead of 1 event a month to predict, you'll have 2 for this prediction contest, which will run February-June. One more thing, graphics. At this time, I'm not going to include graphics, simply because my roster is not finalized. With so many negative influences on the roster, I'm expecting some backstage incidents and some roster turnover. Not to mention, I'm still trying to find a good way to do graphics. I used to use photobucket but it doesn't seem to work so well now. However it has been a while since I've tried it, so maybe I'll try it again.
  22. I am using ScotKen's From Here to Where mod, set in Feb. 1993. Thanks for the comment.
  23. Alright guys, I have come to the conclusion that while it is good to take over an established company, in order to get the best out of this game, I think I need to start my own company. That way I can really do the things I want to do, hire who I want, etc. Not that I can't do that with any other company, but this way it's a brand new company that I can start from the ground up. Here's the back story I'm using for the company, called Kansas Championship Wrestling: Kansas Championship Wrestling was opened up in 1993 by a mysterious group of investors who wished to remain nameless and out of the spotlight. They were concerned because pro wrestling in Kansas was not getting much coverage like it used to, and they invested $5,000,000 to start the company. The basis of the company would be that every single show would be held somewhere in Kansas, and that KCW had no intentions of competing with any other company. Rather, they wanted to get friendly with as many companies as possible to borrow workers because the investors wanted lots of tournaments and special events. The secret investors have decided to hire someone to run the every day operations and to be the booker. That person will also remain a mystery (gotta keep some suspense going to keep readers involved). The first task is to develop a roster. The investors have decided that the initial roster (wrestlers, announcers, etc) MUST come from the unemployment pool, which could make things very, very interesting. Look for a roster reveal over the next couple days. I know I have had several requests to add pictures to my dynasty. I'm considering only having pictures for my PPVs and special shows. What do you guys think about the whole picture thing? Let me know. I'm also wanting to do a prediction contest. My plan is if I have enough people predicting my shows (predicting 1 show a month) is to have a team challenge, taking the top 6 or 8 predictors and letting them put together a 4 man team. Aside from that, I also plan on having a King of the Ring type tournament, a Young Lions Tournament, Lethal Lottery/Battlebowl, and a Crockett Cup tag team type tournament. At this time there will not be a specified cruiserweight or women's division, but that could change. Thoughts? Comments? Let me know. This will probably be a slow moving dynasty. At best I will probably run 2 shows a week, and that could be false hope.
  24. I am strongly considering bringing back this dynasty. I've been watching a ton of Impact Plus lately and I feel like I owe it to myself to give it a shot, especially since nothing else is sticking for me. Who would be interested in seeing this dynasty come back? Keep in mind it would be slow moving as I have a lot on my plate, and my writing style is simple, without many graphics. I'm also still wanting to do a prediction contest. I would like to do a team challenge cup, a king of the mountain tournament, lethal lottery, world x cup and a tag team classic as special events. So, show of hands, who is interested?
  25. For those that vote, if you would like to tell me why you voted the way you did, that would be great.
