  1. That said though, if you play with friends, none of them would have gained their own progress or achievements/trophies on PS3 as only one person can be logged in at once. 360 was by far the superior RB platform.
  2. Pretty enjoyable Raw, but almost no wrestling. Isn't it kinda bad that while Nattie is mad at Tyson because of her busted ankle, she's busy stomping around on said ankle? Also, it's really bad that Brock, Sting and Taker are nowhere to be seen. I'm okay with part-timers, but can they at least have some involvement in their own feuds?
  3. Ugh, why spoil Lucha Underground with a Rey vs Chavo feud? There are so many more exciting, talented and capable wrestlers on the roster.
  4. Speaking of watered down, how stupid was the whole bucket act that Del Rio / Ricardo did? Just awful.
  5. At least when Enzo learns how to wrestle we can look forward to him getting a sustained push. For what it's worth, Triple H seems to have a soft spot for Sandow - including him in the DX reunion at Raw 1000, and the Clique reunion last month.
  6. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="The Swanton825" data-cite="The Swanton825" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>You know, bringing Balor up to the main roster as the straight man to some stooge tag partner who keeps ignoring Finn's skill in the ring and instead, forces him into idiotic outfit after idiotic outfit until he finally snaps and beats the crap out of his partner wouldn't be the worst way to try and get him over with the "Universe". As long as they actually remember that the stupid costumes are a temporary thing and don't ruin him like they did with Sandow...</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> If by "ruined", you mean "more over than ever", then yeah, they totally ruined Sandow.</p>
  7. In addition to the other examples (99, 06, 08), in 1997 neither the Royal Rumble Winner, the runner-up, or the guy who left RR as champion were in the Main Event / Title Match at Wrestlemania. Austin won, Bret was the would-be winner as Austin had been eliminated but refs didn't see it, and HBK won the championship that night. At WM, Austin vs Hart had nothing to do with the title or the ME, which was Sycho Sid vs Undertaker. Let's not act as if the Rumble is some sacred, unbroken, unbreakable promise. Del Rio vs Edge and Sheamus vs Bryan opening WM instead of Main Eventing is also going against the conventional way the RR works.
  8. And that means he has to win the title in less than two and a half years of his debut, five months of which he spent injured? He hasn't even had a complete singles feud yet. No one's ever main evented two Wrestlemanias back to back, right? Why would they put the most popular guy on the roster in the top spot of their biggest show? That would be really stupid. They should push someone who's not talented or experienced enough for the role, and whom the fans aren't getting behind. That's "best for business".
  9. You seem to be pretty green yourself if you think that the quality of a wrestler is just what moves and spots they do. He can't put together a good singles match, certainly not at Main Event level. He doesn't have the experience or the psychology necessary. He also can barely cut a promo to save his life. It's easy to like Roman Reigns when he's in a multi-man match and just gets to come in and hit some Spears - he has a nice comeback sequence and generates some big moments. But the Main Event of Wrestlemania? That's gonna be a poor showing. Ziggler, Bryan, Rollins, Ambrose - any of those guys are hot enough right now to push, and are all far more capable than Reigns in every way. Cesaro could put on the match of century, but Vince can't stop crapping all over him.
  10. If Triple H had his way, we'd never see CM Punk ever. Retroactively, too.
  11. Having read the latest NXT Taping spoilers, we're in for one hell of a good month coming up!
  12. Ryback's promo was like a live Desire video. I like that finally Rusev gets a normal feud instead of everyone suddenly being "#1 Patriot Guy". I liked Seth's performance a lot. Authority means nothing, and the story is always going to be bland - Sting, Ziggler, Ryback and Rowan should all turn on Cena at this point for invalidating their efforts, but they won't.

So quit sending me emails on a nearly daily basis. I can't help it if you are not hitting your projected numbers and the network is a flop.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Man, if only they had a "unsubscribe" button on those emails!</p>
  14. Yep - WWE dodged Punk's calls for months. Then when Triple H wants to talk, Punk asks for a few days TO ENJOY HIS WEDDING AND HONEYMOON, but that's unacceptable, he must be fired immediately. Even if the exact timing wasn't intentional, it's still a complete "**** you".
  15. Yeah, when I saw it live I noticed Kane being there well before he did anything, it was good to hear the story behind that. It's really quite sad that the company/business fosters this mentality of striving forward when you're injured, always going the extra mile, hoping to be recognised and rewarded for it, even if instead they give the glory to people who put in a lot less effort. Even after everything Punk had been through, even knowing the WM plans, even with how beaten up he was, with an undiagnosed staph infection and a concussion, he still maintained that he had to keep doing the job he was asked to do. I'm glad that he's managed to find happiness outside of that system.
  16. How dare he ask to be paid at the level that his boss told him he was at? He should have just "sucked it up" and DIED IN THE RING due to a horrible, continual misdiagnosis. Some people, Jesus Christ.
  17. Which is part of the problem first mentioned: "Why do the WWE feel the need to involve John Cena with every hot feud or upcoming star?" Cena had nothing to do with actually making Bryan popular. Leading up to Summerslam everyone already wanted him to go for the title, WWE chose to write it as "Cena picks his opponent, isn't he a nice guy for picking your favourite?" instead of having Bryan earn the shot. Then leading up to WM where Cena had nothing to do with the World Title scene, he still desperately tried to associate himself with the most popular wrestler at the time. There's a huge difference between verbally "putting over" and actually putting someone over in the ring (which yes, he did at Summerslam, that's a grand total of one). Now Cena's attaching himself to Ambrose, much as he has to Evan Bourne, Zack Ryder, and etc.

Do you really want to see him feuding with talent?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Never said he should feud with anyone. Just do something, anything beyond the laziest booking in the world with the least personality possible.</p>
  19. <p>As much as I love Regal, can they please use him as something beyond the characterless GM who only exists to say "oh, four people are talking at the start of the show? Tonight's main event is a tag team match with those four"?</p><p> </p><p> Such a step backwards for NXT booking.</p>
  20. It was awesome having the Raw debuts of Zayn, Neville and Breeze. Well booked match and perfect to have the Red Arrow finish. Is the between-breaks footage available (on the WWE app of whatever)? I'd like to see their entrances.
  21. Except he said "looks like an escort", which wouldn't make sense if he meant "looks like a valet".
  22. Man, I am psyched for Takeover 2. Very nice ending to this week's ME, with Zayn hitting those vicious Helluva kicks. Also, excited that it seems he'll be in WWE 2k15 (the making of video shows his Rolling Yoshi Tonic mocap data with his name in the files). I agree that Sasha Banks is fantastic - she's heavily gimmicked but in a way that I fully believe. I don't know what she's like IRL but it doesn't matter because she works that character incredibly well. ODB was essentially being herself in TNA, but drawing off a flask five times on the way to the ring was so incredibly lame. I've always loved Rebecca Knox (Becky Lynch), and I'm very glad they got rid of the stereotypical Irish BS, but making her act like Lita because of her hair colour isn't that much of a step up and seems forced. Hopefully they relax and she finds a more natural character to play. Maybe focus on her apparent love of puns as far as promos go.
