  1. I'm not sure how that negates my point, exactly. If anything it strengthens it - Bryan was even on a losing streak right before he won the championship. Drew being on a losing streak doesn't necessarily mean he's being depushed.
  2. Daniel Bryan constantly lost to the likes of Darren Young and Heath Slater. Now he's World Champion.
  3. Cena and Orton haven't been champions in months. Orton's not even on the show at the moment. CM Punk and Bryan Danielson are the champs right now.
  4. I'm glad your blind, completely mark-like hatred of Jericho didn't blind you to the possibility of... Oh wait! Give us a heads up on the next thing we can "trust you" about, I'll put money against it
  5. I know you're not arguing with me, and I definitely get the gist of what you're saying, but I don't think Scott Hall is a good example if we're talking about WWE (as opposed to WWF). I don't have the figures in front of me, but I'm pretty sure Hall was gone by the end of 2002 and didn't last as long as Juvi did. I don't think we can fairly look too far into the past - the things Shawn Michaels did were pretty bad back in the day, but 2006 is a vastly different time to 1994.
  6. Juvi and Psichosis completely screwed themselves over. WWE cannot be blamed for their downfall.
  7. <p>"It's the end of the world as we know it", says that kid in the video. That can only mean one thing...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> REM will get back together for a one-night-only concert on Raw!</p>
  8. RVD, Jericho, Booker T, London, Kendrick, the entire tag team division on at least two occasions... Also things like ending Orton's first reign very quickly in a crappy match, and never directly losing to Jeff Hardy for the title - always had to put Edge in there to take the fall.
  9. "You don't really think the fans make their own signs, do you?" So much BS!
  10. If the hot dog stand was on a beach during X-Men 2, absolutely it would be evil!
  11. Huh, Jericho hasn't been paying attention to Punk for long then... He's done it for years and years. He did it in his early days in ECW. He did it back in ROH. "Welcome to Chicago, MFer!"
  12. Oh, an off-roster show that didn't get broadcast here. You're right, that's some real solid buildup to Wrestlemania, Miz running his mouth once. Was it ever replayed on Raw? Two weeks ago on Raw. Triple H admits that he brought Punk back because he's a commodity, because it's good for business, not because he "is champion". He would have been perfectly happy just moving on with Rey/Cena if Punk didn't come back.
  13. So what you're saying is we need to have the Gatlin boys come callin', and take turns with Becky? (And there were three of them). Melina beat up the Nexus last week? Where did Miz start a feud with Austin? CM Punk and Austin have been feuding on Twitter, especially around the release of WWE All Stars. They had a confrontation on Raw. Austin recently said in an interview that *if* he were to come back, the *one* guy he would want to wrestle is... CM Punk. Not Miz.
  14. It could easily be done in-story. Cena: "I know I can beat you in a regular fight. I challenge you tonight and I'll pin you 1-2-3, because I know I'm the better man". Sheamus: "We'll see about that, fella." It's a stronger premise than Rey vs Cena the other week.
  15. I'd also like to add Dolph Ziggler to my earlier list of recent championship reigns that lasted less than a week. So again, why not have Sheamus give it up to Cena in a rematch the next night if he wasn't supposed to be champion?
  16. He looks like Jimmy Wang Yang with that moustache. And remember when he was thrown into a stage light by Big Show, and was completely fine the next day? If he wasn't supposed to win, don't you think they would have had Sheamus drop the title back the next night on Raw instead of having him keep the title for two months and feud with Orton? I mean, we saw Christian and Rey Mysterio this year each have a <1week title reign and they were *supposed* to win!
  17. Do new Cena shirts completely sell out from day 1 pre-orders? Because CM Punk's shirt did. I ordered mine within hours of it going up and now that it's actually been released, it's already on back order and my order has not shipped.
  18. It's basically in reference to his 2002-2005 reign of terror. "I just don't know if he's got what it takes" refers to the likes of Booker T, RVD and Jericho who all got summarily dismissed by Triple H during that time. Jericho obviously did get the belt, but it's no secret that Triple H didn't like him, and the booking definitely shows that they didn't really give Jericho the ball to run with. The implication made by CM Punk is that "creative meetings" were held in the McMahon-Levesque bed, instead of in board rooms, and as such talented performers got screwed over.
  19. Okay, so let's say Shawn didn't oversell anything in the match. It just plays out straight. Shawn falls over every time legitimately acting as if Hogan's super weak punches are doing real damage, not comically blowing them out of proportion. The biggest move of the match is when Hogan can *barely* pick him up on to the announce table. We're left with HBK, one of the best wrestlers of all time (and *currently* a fantastic worker), apparently truly having a very difficult time getting any offense in on an old, broken man, and getting beaten badly by attacks with no force behind them. Now... You say "acted unprofessional", I say "saved the match from being a terrible, boring, paint-by-numbers Hogan match". You've never seen him refuse to jump for Taker's chokeslam? Also, with Hogan a lot of his unprofessionalism comes from simply NOT being in front of the fans. Tell me, where was he during the WHOLE feud with Orton? And who HAD to win that match?
  20. On the topic of the Face/Heel buses - they were on a tour of Australia. I'm pretty sure foreign travel is all booked by WWE as opposed to their regular US/Canadian schedule where people make their own way. Also, I believe it was only Raw who were touring Aus/NZ, so Orton wouldn't be there at all.
  21. You know he did win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship earlier this year, right? Cabana is awesome. As well as his excellent podcast, his series of sketches with Marty DeRosa is off to a fun start: http://www.creativehasnothingforyou.com/
  22. Wait, you're saying that these guys had better matches 15 years ago when they were in their prime? They're not like HBK and Undertaker, where storytelling and psychology are more important than the spots and workrate...
  23. Wouldn't you have missed Benoit's World Title run, feud with Edge, etc?
