  1. Abyss - The guy has a unique look, he's over, should he get the push he's getting? No but he's more than capable of being a big part of the roster. AJ Styles - The franchise of TNA and obviously should stay Alex Shelley - After making some vet tag team cuts this guy would be part of the premiere tag team in TNA Amazing Red - He can't talk, his in ring work hasn't been nearly as amazing since he returned as it was in his "prime" his look isn't interesting. The guy is talented but not talented enough to keep around. Brian Kendrick - This guy would make a good X Division jobber or if they get London back I have no doubt we could have a Hooliganz vs. MCMG feud. Brutus Magnus - I have no idea why they added this guy to a bloated roster already in the first. Bubba - Nuff Said Chris Sabin - Like I said this guy and his partner should be the premier tag team in TNA and if not that then they both are more than capable of being stars in the X Division. Consequences Creed - The guys got a neat costume and a fun gimmick but with only two hours of television a week neither of those things is enough to keep him around when the same can be said for two dozen other guys on his level. D'Angelo Dinero - The Pope should be the upper mid card champion but not until after they do away with the global championship, bring in a new championship the t.v championship and have it be the reason the pope blesses our t.v's every week pun intended. Daniels - The guy is good X Division fodder, he's not getting any younger, he can still go in the ring. No major push but he's good at making others look great. Desmond Wolfe - If you want to get rid of Desmond Wolfe you're a bloody wanker Don West - The only reason this guy still has a job is because he's been there since show 1 which I can respect. Doug Williams - I was a huge fan of this guys....eight years ago. The time has come that he doesn't offer anything they can't get elsewhere Dr. Stevie - I have no idea why they rehired this guy Eric Bischoff - I'm a fan of Eric's booking most of the time and that may be a reason why I've enjoyed TNA the last few weeks Eric Young- Every single thing they have asked of Eric he's done, Paranoid face, comedy face, brash ****y heel, now vengeance seeking bad ass face. He's done it all, he's good in the ring and very underrated on the mic. This guy should be up there with Wolfe and Pope in the upper mid card. Generation Me - I'm not impressed with these guys and I think there are several teams on the roster that can duplicate their in ring skills. They look bland and boring to me. Hernandez - The guy won't be a superstar but he is an upper mid carder and under the right push could even get a throw away world title pay per view main event. Homicide -The guy is talented but their not doing anything with him now and the whole thug wrestler thing feels so 2005 to me. I like the guy but his last memorable feud was with Amazing Red I say let him go. Hulk Hogan - Obviously just having Hogan on board legitimizes them to the mainstream media. I see no reason to cut the guy his contract is with Panda Energy so you have to include him as "free money" since he doesn't technically cost TNA Entertainment a dime. James Storm - Beer Money need to be kept on board as the "established" team they can do for TNA what they wish Team 3D and the Nasty'd could do and for cheaper. Jay Lethal - Jay's only charisma is pretending to be Macho Man. He rarely wrestles and I never remember him being in a single memorable feud. Gimmicks that rip other gimmicks off to me are lame and you can't see that person as a credible threat. If you try and take that gimmick away from him the Impact Zone is going to make a stink and ask for it back putting the guy in a position where he can't get over as long as their in the area their in so just cut your losses. Jeff Hardy - I think the guy is in it for a free paycheck but realisticlly I don't see TNA letting go a guy they just I would assume paid top dollar for. Jeff Jarett - The guy still owns part of the company and he's playing sympathetic underdog really well now days. Jeremy Borash - Again with the company from the start and IMO is the best backstage announcer they have. Jesse Neal - I like his look but there is no place for him on this bloated roster. Jimmy Hart - Why even bother? Kazarian - The guy was interesting five years ago, after several gimmick changes I've lost interest in him. He's decent in the ring but the guy has little charisma and I liked his gimmick of being the future but he was the future six years ago. I say let him join Tracy on the SoCal indy scene. Kevin Nash - The guy has actually stayed with the company semi regulary even when there was heavy talk of him going back to the E for one last run. He's a naturally funny guy, he's got charisma and honestly for what his matches are he's not bad in the ring. If he wanted to hang 'em up he'd be the best color guy in the business. Kiyoshi - Who? Kurt Angle - This one is kinda cheating. I'd release him but I'd give him one last run up until Bound for Glory. I'd have him winning against everybody and everything and then use him to elevevate someone like Pope or Desmond Wolfe at Bound for Glory into the main event scene and release. him. Matt Morgan - Matt looks like a superstar....kinda. I don't see Matt as "the future of this business". He's not that great of a talker, he's big but he's not got the "superstar look" he's not really well defined, he's balding, etc. So although he's big and talented in the ring for his size I would put him in that upper mid card. along with Pope, Hernandez, Young etc. Mr. Anderson - The guy isn't the greatest talker but he just LOOKS brash and arrogant I may be alone but the guy has much more than just saying his name a bunch of times. He does that sideways smirk while chewing his gum and he just looks like he's daring you to smack him in the face. Nasty Boys - Why Hulk why? Orlando Jones - See Above question Raven - I like Raven and if they wanted to make him a booker I could see him making sense but honestly with a booking team including Russo, Hogan and Bischoff I think Raven would have an "odd man out" feeling about him. Rhino - I loved this guy but really he's not been interesting to me since he feuded with Christian in Detroit years ago. Rick Flair - Ric needs to be on a short leash but a stable with A.J, Ric, Desmond Wolfe and maybe a tag team and a monster body guard is money IMO. Rob Terry - This reminds me of the type of guy WCW would have tried pushing in 93 or so. "hey he's big and has muscles who cares if he's boring" Rob Van Dam - For all the begging to bring this guy in I think he could freshen up a stale Main Event scene. If RVD has anything left in the tank RVD vs. A.J could be fun. I don't think it'd draw anymore than Abyss vs. A.J did but I think it'd be a better match. Robert Roode - Again part of the most established team in TNA no reason to stop that now. Samoa Joe - I see no reason to let go of the guy but he's never going to be main event. Just part of that growing list of solid working upper mid card guys. Scott Hall - Hall seems like he's motivated and trying to give it one last go. He looks better than he has in recent years and I see no reason to get rid of him. More people channel surfing know who he is than know who Joe is. Sean Waltman - Sean has proved he hasn't lost much in the ring and hanging around bigger stars being their buddy is his gimmick why squash it now? Shannon Moore - Clearly brought in as a party favor to Hardy so let him have his cup of tea and show him the door. Shark Boy - Sharky Boy may be a good jobber but honestly I've just never gotten behind the guy ever. Sting - Sting is on his way out the door anyway I'm sure. Suicide - Keep him around he's a great gimmick for trying out new guys Team 3D - No matter how much they want to be they will never be "the greatest tag team in wrestling" Tomko - Why did they bring this guy back? If the total was 58 I just cut 22 leaving us at a solid 34 guys and gals on the roster.
  2. I've just started watching TNA but I'm fairly certain they have a third guy playing Suicide now, some Japanese guy? Thats what I've taken from this thread when talking of the "jap" as Hyde so nicely put it and all this talk of Suicide 3 which to me would indicate a third man playing the role.
  3. So yeah their sitting in the 70's with triple the programming time that TNA has and atleast double the house shows.
  4. Is Spike just a cameo? IDK all I know is they got 60 "fulltime" guys and thats roughly the same amount WWE has with 6 hours of television a week compared to TNA's 2. Remember when WCW had 100 plus guys on their roster? The problem they have is they can't stop themselves from snatching up anybody the WWE lets go. I'm hearing Ken Doane had a tryout that went well with them. They can't stop themselves. I think they should have one guy in charge or roster management or atleast the bringing in of new talent. You want somebody you run it through him. Kind of like in football they have cap management specialists.
  5. The list was from Meltzer so maybe there are guys on the payroll not on the "active" roster. IDK either way 60 guys for two hours a week is way way too many.
  6. I just read a report that said since January TNA has ballooned to SEVENTY wrestlers. That has to be close to what the WWE has on its active roster with three brands, three television shows and multiple house shows a night. This includes high priced guys like Flair, RVD, Hardy, Kennedy, etc. Plus they got the expensive of going live every night as well as apparently running ads during Monday Night RAW and doing advertising in Times Square. With all of these expenses ratings are the lowest they have been in four years and there has been barely a noticeable bump in house show and merchandise sales. Even if TNA is heading in the right direction creatively these are some valid points there is no way TNA should have an active roster of 70 workers.
  7. If its just using his likeness then why is he bothering to take a shot at TNA? I mean its not like Goldberg was ever in TNA so what good would it do them to sell Goldberg shirts. They can't make any DVD's and any goldberg shirts of figurines would just confuse the fans and likely make very little cash in return for his asking price. I had heard its a likeness deal as well which makes sense since the WWE can sign him to a legends contract and get figurines, DVD's, shirts maybe another book who knows. If anything just use him to replace some of the talking heads they usually have for DVD's since Flair, Hogan and some others can't be used. Anyway kinda pointless to take a jab at TNA for not signing you when you've stated your not interested in TNA and they would have zero to gain by paying you for your likeness.
  8. I'm not upset by the fact that their not doing it I just think there is still time wasted in their show. Its getting better and I found it more enjoyable than the E this week. I would have liked to see some X Division action as well as a continuation of the Wolfpac story beyond Eric Young naming two guys that had nothing to do with his storyline as his tag team partners. I can appreciate a slow build and wait as some of these storylines give way into getting the X Division guys as well as others back in big storylines however it doesn't mean I don't want to see them on the show. I think Alex Shelly had huge star written all over him when he was paling around with Nash a few years back and hooking up into the tag team with Sabin has really seen them do less as a team as they did as singles stars. In 2003 Sabin was the hottest X Division star they had now he's an every once in a while tag team guy.
  9. Tonight is the second week in a row TNA has done a good job and tonight I'd say their show was better than Vinces. I didn't see the pay per view but why wasn't Angle on the show? Angle was the top guy in the company before this transition and now I barely hear from him. Is that his choice, theirs? Also where was "the band" and why are RVD and Hardy being thrown against everybody in TNA? What happened to Sting vs. RVD? He viciously beat him down two weeks ago, RVD beat him down a week ago and now its over and done with? Where was Desmond Wolfe? I liked the show but its very clear their roster and even storylines are too many for two hours of television. Where was the MCMG? Where was Team 3D? Mr. Anderson? The X Division? Good show but they have got to get better time managment down. IMO they coudl have cut out the second RVD/Hardy promo and the Beer Money promo. The match was made in the ring, challenge accepted, now have the announcers shill it and use that time devoted to something else. None the less I enjoyed TNA more than WWE for the first time in a long time last night. I'm going to Lockdown so I'm glad their picking up the pace now.
  10. <p>I'd like to point out that Hornswaggle in these DX skits has made me laugh and entertained me more than most of what the WWE is putting on today, let alone TNA. </p><p> </p><p> Aside from the court segment that was way too much time. Other than that I've enjoyed Hornswaggle attacking Santino, HHH taping him to a skateboard, etc. That has entertainened me a million times more than anything the Nasties ever did outside of a Cactus Jack/Kevin Sullivan/ vs. Nasties hardcore brawl in WCW.</p>
  11. It will be interesting to see what the rating was. I wonder if it goes back to its 1.0
  12. <p>They basically let Lashley go without really telling him. Of course he couldn't make the last over seas tour and his time in MMA training has been taking up any time he would have to be wrestling. </p><p> </p><p> He recently said in an interview "I guess I'm not part of TNA anymore" which would lead me to believe that he was just quietly let go.</p>
  13. So I've watched the last two weeks of Impact nearly all the way through and haven't heard ONE mention of Joe's name. Did they drop this storyline? And if not how the hell can they advance it if they don't even talk about it?
  14. I liked Yoshi's character in ECW. The Christian/Yoshi build up was good stuff. Evan, Primo, even Matt Hardy these guys are basically JBTTS at this point. So although its nice to have these guys have character thats just not the way the WWE works. Its not the attitude era where even lower card guys have gimmicks that shine through on t.v
  15. The thing to remember with ratings is this weeks ratings reflects last week show ( in most cases) you put on a bad show this week, next weeks ratings will reflect that. This show was a ton better than anything they have produced during the Hogan era. The problem is they have spent three months delivering confusing, all over the place, low quality, little wrestling. Last week they went head to head and people tuned in, the show was horrible and this week their starting to tune out. Its not easy to stop the ratings slide, once people tune out it takes twice as much to make them tune in. Negative reactions catch more peoples attention than positive.
  16. AJ cut a good promo, he stammered a bit and had some ackward pauses but he wasn't horrible and sounded as good as most of the WWE scripted guys. Flair started out making no sense and somehow pulled it back in. I liked the "you see this, you wanna play here, expect to get this EVERY day of your life". Wasn't AJ vs. Hardy already advertised? So why did AJ challenge him in the ring and then why did the announcers sound shocked by this challenge? Was this not common knowledge in the advertising that this match was happening? Also AJ would do better if Flair didn't interupt AJ every time. Also Flair talking about Hardy "getting high". Hardy having "creatures of the night" isn't that what Taker's fans were called? Before "the takeover" Jesse Neals new direction was one of the best things going. The Rhyno, 3D stable was actually interesting. Now Jimmy Hart is in there, Brother Runt, these guys are seriously blowing money out the window here. Wow Jimmy Hart just got a pinfall. Hasn't this "feud" been going on since the first week Hogan came on board? Are Team 3D in Japan mostly and just kinda show up every few weeks to get jobbed out to the Nasties? Is Hemme really getting paid more than most of these women to hold a mic? Hemme has a lot of charisma but to just hold a mic? This show was so good about not cluttering itself up and then this X Division crazyness happened. Are the Machine Guns heel now? They love to do these faces acting like heels. Geneartion ME look very bland compared to the Machine Guns. The rest of the show was in good order. The ending was good with Abyss slamming Flair into the ramp while AJ looked on in fear. I don't know which show was better and I can't believe I'm saying this but I really felt like they were on equal ground for the first time last night. Keep this up TNA and I'll keep watching.
  17. So I did not want a Wrestlemania rematch between Shawn and Taker I pretty much hate wrestlemania rematches I want to see original stuff but now I'm looking forward to it.
  18. Your post doesn't say "last edited by" which means that you didn't go back and edit the post you just put "edit" as your post instead of you know....just not posting anything. It should be fun with Austin being the GM we haven't had a Rock, Hogan, Austin, any former top guy be a "host" for the night so this should be interesting.
  19. So is there a 90 day no compete if the worker's contract expires?
  20. I'm not sure if anyone here would actually know this or not since it has to do with WWE contracts but its been discussed before. When someone is released they have a 90 day no compete clause. People don't realize just how many companies out there have a similar thing. My question is they do get paid their downside for those 90 days right? Their not being forced to sit at home without income coming in for 90 days right?
  21. Yeah Thomas Jones was the third leading rusher of the year and had double digit TD's thats kinda what you want if you want a "feature" back. I still think there are feature backs there is just "supporting role" backs in several places as well.
  22. The ratings are in TNA did a 1.0 and RAW did a 3.4. Talk about a huge downturn they lost half their audience from their last monday night show That being said I think Spike T.V was ok with a 1.0 and the true indication of how they did will be revealed next week. I'd say with everything they threw out there this week they need to atleast maintain this rating next week. I would think their offifcial start to the monday night wars would garner them a similar rating. I mean they were up against Bret Hart on the 4th and did twice this number. Strange...
  23. Goldberg has said he's got little interest in signing with TNA. He's doing three or four different television shows for like the Speed Channel and some other niche cable networks. He's done wrestling and honestly I don't think he's got much name value. He was a big deal for one year 12 years ago.
