1. So I'm not sure what's going on here:

    SeqJQPT.jpg

All of my development workers that had previous contracts STILL have their handshake deals in place despite me having them on exclusive written contracts. To top it off, they're still working matches for the other companies, and it's been around a month and a half of game time since they've been signed. I assume that there's a new feature at play here, but I'm not sure what it is. Logic dictates that being on an exclusive written contract would keep them from working for other people.

I mean the notice period will always be 28 days according to the hand book. and they will continue to work for the other companies until the notice has finished. Are you for sure it's been the full 28 days, if so then it might be a bug. .

  2. So I've run a few battle royal's in an SWF save and here are the results.

Pre Show 20 minute and 20 man match with Steven Parker wining all worker were Recognizable or lower Rating: 56 didn't notice any overuse penalties

Main Show PPV 30 man and I think around 18 or 20 minutes with Joey Morgan winning and one of only 2 workers at Well known everyone else was lower Rating: 72

Pre Show 20 man don't remember how long this one was but Joey Morgan won and was the only worker Well known everyone else was lower Rating: 63

Main Show TV 25 man and 15 minutes Primus Allen won and was one of 3 well knowns everyone else was below Rating: 58

Finally Main Show TV 30 Man Rumble Style 56 minutes(the minimum for the match) Ranger won and every worker was Recognizable or lower Rating: 59 Edit: I meant that there were overuse penalties on this one copy

    paste got me lol

I reran this last one 3 different times with the new patch and it got the exact same 59 rating everytime. . . so it's doesn't seem like it was a super big deal anyway. .

  4. Whether they wish to spend time doing so should be up to them. Right now, with the system as it stands, they may have their creativity curtailed because rather than making their own decisions for products they have to fit company products into the hard and fast defined parameters.

Again, you're going on about in-game during gameplay. I am specifically pointing out mod creation or editing. I understand what you're arguing with regards to "dodging penalties" in-game, but it has NOTHING to do with what I'm pointing out. At all.

Hell, I even stated that I agree that gaming the system in-game should be avoided. However, that has NOTHING to do with allowing for more in depth user defined product creation or modification within the database editor (not the in-game editor).

Maybe I'm wrong but I remember lot's of complaints from mod makers about how much of a pain it was to create products in the old games, but I may be remembering wrong. It wasn't so much a creative thing to do as it was mod makers having to tweak and tweak because people would disagree on their view of a product. .

Anyway my point on the first half was that it wasn't changed out of malice to curb creativity but to simplify a needlessly complicated process. .

Again if it could be added back for the folks who want it I'm not trying to argue against it I want that to be clear. Just from my experience with it, I don't see it as the handicap everyone arguing against it are making it out to be, and it just seems to me that they look at a product see the limitations listed and immediately think they can't do those things without even trying it out and playing with the system as it exists. .

Barring a few exceptions that probably need some changes, most of the penalties aren't gonna ruin a card or even the matches or angles they are attached to. I look at it as they are more there to let you know that this isn't the focal point of the product, you can still utilize them but they aren't gonna be the best things on the card. not to avoid them entirely. .

I get that gaming the system in such a way that doesn't force (for lack of better phrasing) you to think through your booking for a particular product is indeed not really playing the game but "gaming the game". I agree.

What does that have to do with creating mods, though? What does that have to do with allowing for deeper production creation/modification within the database editor outside of the in-game?

A solution would've been to "lock" the user out of truly freely editing/modifying (or creating as the case may be) the products in-game (that is, during a game) but allowing them to do so if they edit the databases.

And, yeah, it's kinda strange to you for such a thing to be done for those that want to modify things but...here's the thing: the mods are one of the primary drivers of the games in the series even selling to begin with. So why cut their shins off?

I would argue that the simplification was done for the benefit of modders, as they aren't having to spend unnecessary time setting up companies and their respective products.

The big phrase I keep seeing brought up is "Fine Tune" which again in my opinion just seems like a desire to dodge penalties by nudging them out of the product. . Ultimately if it can be put back in, in some form, then I don't see why it would hurt. People can stick with the current system or do the tuning how they please, People wanna play how they wanna play and that's perfectly fine. . I just don't agree that the current system is the handicap people are making it out to be. .

  6. I know, I mentioned that in my long post. I still wish there was some variant of it in the game so I could assign my non-wrestlers a position without needing to go & assign them myself. Like I said in the long post, I have commentators, road agents & personalities showing up as wrestlers & have no clue how to stop that.

I mean all you should have to do is deselect the roles you don't want them to work in that same menu and they should only show up as the specific role you want them in.

  7. Sorry, that's a complete mistake on my end. I mean't "auto-push" as in give the people their best position to work in the company. Completely my mistake!

Pushes don't exist anymore and with the perception system this is all done automatically. so people will always fall into their expected perception level as far as non wrestlers you can edit their jobs by click on their name above their roster photo and make them available in other positions.

This is meant with no offense to Questlove.

He can make any decisions he wants. He's writing the game. It's his game. He can make any choice he so pleases.

That's something I don't like about some people. I get that they are passionate and love the game, but they sometimes get to the point of thinking that it's their game. That they're owed something. You're not.

this is kinda my view point but it's ultimately just gonna cycle back to the "but I pay for it, I should get what I want" argument. Which I mean no offense by as it's just as valid an argument but I feel like people are getting upset about some things that doesn't force them to play any differently than they normally would, but simply because it isn't there it's some how detrimental..

It used to tell you how much game time that you've completed and what the best match you've booked was as well as your best show booked etc. It would also tell you how many shows you've completed throughout a save. Is it completely gone now or can I just not see it?

one way I know. there are arrows on either side of the bottom toolbar, click through them and it'll get you to your user. the stats button is there.

You can't tell people it's a sandbox in which they're free to do whatever they want while also ranting about how one of the ways they play the game is lazy and brain dead.

This is of course completely ignoring the fact that it's still incredibly easy to tell if someone is in time decline or not, plus on the very same screen you have next big things which is even lazier, but the point I'm making isn't aimed at the feature itself, it's aimed at his lack of communication skills and weird arbitrary decisions that are made when nobody asked for them.

Yea that's fair as far as the little rant goes, but my point is it's not limiting you in any fashion from booking people how you want. . Same for the NBT and Hot Prospects. Ultimately whether they are in the game or not it's still your choice who to push and who not to. Nothing is stopping you from doing that. I get the whole rant about it might rub people the wrong way as it's directed at a certain player base(and I was one of those people who used it that way) but I don't see any need to take it personally. It was a redundant resource because as you say it's not difficult to determine who's on decline anyway. .
