  1. I'd love it in future versions if people could use their connections to try and get work for others. The main things I'm thinking with this are mostly training school related, things like: Booker T has his school which isn't the WWE's official school but if you're playing as them and he's still under contract you could get a notification of him offering you first refusal similar to what you get for your own school but unlike your school it wouldn't happen for every graduate. Something along the lines of "I have this trainee I think you should take a look at." It could be expanded on for people using strong friendships if they aren't under contract, for example if X-Pac was to open a school he could reach out to Triple H in his position of power to try and get his graduate work. Then it could be used for workers who don't have a school but do have a protege. Finally the lowest level of it could be a worker just trying to get a close friend hired.
  2. <p>In my 21CW developmental game I've just had my 3rd intake from the National School. Pretty solid class, they hired and sent me 8 out of 10. What's strange is the two they passed up on. One of them has better stats than the 8 they sent, the other one is an ex MMA guy, popularity in his 60s, decent stats and I've signed him short term just to fill a spot in a tournament but he's automatically the best talker on the roster.</p><p> </p><p> When you look at the main roster, they've flooded it with call ups who weren't ready, undeveloped stats after about 6 months in development in some cases, popularity 15 and below after a year on the main roster. They've dropped in size, lost TV deals, lost name guys like Tommy Cornell and Leigh Burton to America. When you look at the roster that's left the MMA guy would've easily filled a spot. They've also fired Pit Bull Brown as booker replacing him with Mark Misery, but with the roster they have I don't think it's the booking that's the problem.</p>
  3. Kylie Rae has suddenly "retired" twice as well. I'd say the majority of hiatus periods should start after the worker has served some notice, but as personalities are already in the game certain types of worker should just walk with no warning.
  4. In a few different games now I've either signed someone how had someone sent to me who looks like they'd do great promos but they're an international talent. Unless I'm missing something obvious you can't check what languages they speak from the roster screen, instead you have to go back out to the all workers screen and go through the profile that way. Could languages be added on to the attributes section under the skills tab when you view a worker from the roster page?
  5. A bad night for The Underdogs, both injured in the same match.
  6. I'm doing a save as a developmental company for 21CW and they're just trolling me. The plan was to use only guys they sent down to me so I changed the NSOW to a PC to hopefully get non-wrestlers to develop instead of relying on outsiders. I also gave them a WWE Network style broadcaster to give me a fighting chance of gaining exposure to develop talent as I was only planning on running monthly shows until the roster got a bit bigger. I tried running this once before with the NSOW and a 2nd PC hoping for staff but after 18 months only Cain Carlile had been called up and I was flooded with graduates from the 2 schools and a few outside hires so I restarted and edited the NSOW. So the game starts I get the same hires as last time, Dangermouth, The Black Country Boys, Carlile, Sharif, Archer and Strife, with Lone Wolf, Gulliver and the rejen graduates sent down to me in March. Same as last time, before my first show I get the warning Carlile will be called up, no biggy. By September all off my contracted talent had been called up so I ended up with outside workers filling the cards anyway. I was on my 5th champion and 4th lot of tag champions as the instant I put a belt on anyone they were called up. Most lost the title in their first defense. Towards the end of the year I got 3 graduates from RoH/WWA sent down to me, a rehired Welsh Dragon and SNP defector Govan Monty. By this point I've had to break my golden rule and put the world title on outsiders (Jermaine Grainger being world champion and Bruiser/Ripper Le Stat holding the tag titles as they had excellent chemistry), so Monty starts a title feud, no plans on him winning as I expect a call up, but he does one angle ... and the warning comes. Similarly Welsh Dragon does a save angle to try and get the tag belts off outsiders ...... and here's the call up warning as well as one of the rookies who's only been a pro 6 weeks. So year 2 begins I get my 2nd class in March and I've had a few weeks without call ups, 21CW are so flooded with enhancement talents that they've had to start a B show and even then hardly any of them are being used (Example being The Black Country Boys have worked 2 matches in the last year). By May I feel confident enough to get the title back on one of my developmental guys and have a regen by the name of Karl Mir take the title and start a faction with 2 other regens who've just won the tag titles) and the newly signed Bat Cooper. The next day I get the usual call up warning. It's weird how the AI has gone from 1 call up in my original save to calling up everyone to the point I haven't even got half way through a planned storyline or had a decent title reign from day 1. Although Tommy Cornell is leaving 21CW in a few days and it's been nice to see him putting people over and sliding down the card to the point he's just lost one of my call ups rare matches to Bryn Archer.
  7. I've run 2 games now with the same scenario, created a developmental 0/0/0 company for 21CW and started the game as them to see how I'd coped with the call ups. I wanted to try and run the game with only staff sent to me, none I'd hired so in the first game I gave 21CW a 2nd performance center dojo. In both games I'm not running a weekly show, however like NXT in the early (non-reality show) days, I am airing it on a 21CW owned network which did give it an easier popularity boost, but the workers aren't growing in popularity at an excessive rate. In both games they originally hired Cain Carlile, Dangermouth, Sharif, Strife, Bryn Archer, Aurelian Bradley, Gazz Vedmore & Mikey Robinson then sent down Lone Wolf, Gulliver, Alfonso D'Angelo and the regen recruits when they graduated. In the first game only Cain Carlile was called up and within 18 months I was flooded with too many graduates from both dojos and a few WWA:UK/RoH hirees too. I started again with the second game, removed the 2nd dojo and made the National School a PC to try and get some announcers/managers/referees to eventually replace my outside hires. The game starts the same way, the same names sent to me, Carlile call up warning comes before the first show again, however this time within 9 months everyone sent to me had been called up. I used some outside talent to fill the gap until March. I've been switching my champion every month at this point because as soon as he get's the belt he's called up, even the lowest stats champion I rushed the belt on to thinking it would buy me a decent length title reign. I'm just in Feb on the 2nd year now waiting for my next NSOW class, but I've just had a call up warning that a RoF graduate I was sent in December is already getting the call up. The only difference I can think of is the randomness frequency change so does this effect call ups? It can't be that 21CW have gaps on the roster their flooded with enhancement talent as it is, most rarely work a show for them.
  8. I might be missing something obvious here but can't find it in game or handbook. Has the global product trends section been removed? Obviously want to evolve with the times but I can't find it to keep tabs.
  9. Very interested in this. I was running a sim in RWC where I modded the data so Vince died, Shane and Stephanie closed WWE down and set up companies in their own visions with one running a classic WCW/NWA style and one a WWF style so these "in theory" mods interest me.
  10. WCW 1996 Mod. Flair vs DDP for the US Title. After my first show DDP got caught with hard drugs. Sent him off to rehab and replaced with Konnan who predictably got shipped of to rehab himself 2 weeks later. I thought it was going to be the N.W.O. vs WCW storyline that'd flop due to drugs but I've kept that going. I'm 4 months in. Lost Luger but had Piper coming in so Luger will return and jump to the NWO. Got to month 3 before Hogan and Nash went to rehab. If Scott Hall (yes seriously, Scott Hall is the clean one) can last until Hogan or Nash come back, I can make this work.
  11. Not so much TEW but its the earlier parts on the series. I believe ewr used to have a list of workers who played the game. I seem to remember Shane Helms being on it

  13. Set up a developmental for 21CW, it's going to include a womens division as it's about time I had one in 21CW, so the game adds the starting titles including a womens title. 2 weeks later as there's no women in the company yet it retires the womens title and replaces it with the top contenders title. Theres just one problem ........

Handbook explains why.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> How? It's not an option in the editor and I don't control the companies I'm watching?</p>
  15. <p>Any way to make the AI Booking stricter with tag partners teaming together?</p><p> </p><p> Running a Sim where Vince dies, Shane/Steph dissolve WWE, form their own companies and just trying to see how it plays out. The game seems to form 4-5 tag teams a week between these 2 companies, but they seem to team together that first time then rarely after if at all, usually teaming with other people instead. </p><p> </p><p> The weirdest example of this is Street Profits have formed their own teams in the same company. Ford's partner is Matt Riddle, while Dawkins teams with Brian Cage. Yet when I check the shows Ford and Dawkins have teamed together in 6 mans, and even in straight tags more than with their official partners. This company runs 2 shows a week and they team together at least once a week. Tried to check the editor to see if I can set the teams as Unit if they weren't already to see if it helps but it can't be changed. Any ideas?</p>
  16. Just to add to this. On another game I'm simming, one company booked 2 ladder matches and a cage match on a B TV show. Could maybe understand this on an A show or if there were any feuds but they were just completely random.
  17. You can always book it as a post show segment just for the live crowd.
  18. With 21CW I normally seem to do OK because they've been my start promotion since TEW 2005 so I have some idea who I want to build around and what I need to do to get them there due to familiarity. I took advantage of the book on the fly feature for another game I ran though. Set up a developmental company for them and the first show was a title tournament. I left all the results up to the AI, booked placeholder matches with who I thought would win each round and kept going back to change them. The AI picked my first champion and due to the runner up, my first title feud.
  19. Simming through a "Vince is dead game" just because I want to see how the game world evolves. The backstory being when Vince dies Stephanie and Shane have a major dispute over how the company should move forward which ends with WWE closing down and Stephanie and HHH forming CWA (Championship Wrestling Alliance), with a heavy NWA\Classic WCW style influence, while Shane takes Paul Heyman as a booker and forms the SEF (Sports Entertainment Federation) obviously Sports Entertainment\WWF\Attitude Era based. Set both companies to at war, and also closed down AEW because I thought it'd make the rosters a little restrictive, the backstory for that being coming out of the pandemic the Khans feel the risk isn't worth the investment getting caught in a 3 company war, yes unrealistic but humor me. Just got simmed the first month, on day 2 SEF signed TV deals for an A & B show. CWA tried to cool the war already. CWA went on a huge hiring spree signing a large number of talent in the first 2 weeks before SEF actually signed anyone, which obviously resulted in SEF's first few shows being cancelled. In week 2 the war officially ended already. CWA also signed deals for an A & B show, both companies started running shows in week 3. Both companies continue to hire, CWA more so and now has a roster almost double the size of SEF with a lot more high profile names. CWA's top stars are Reigns, Orton, Wyatt, Rollins & Moxley while SEF have Bryan, Rey, Morrison, Elias & Big E according to the tour the company screens. So far no one has picked up Cena, Lesnar, Jericho, Undertaker, Kane or Big Show, even though all are active full time. Of all the real world tag teams the only one to stay together is the Uso's even the Young Bucks have split despite signing with the same company. CWA have held their first PPV, SEF haven't. CWA champions: World: HHH, Nationwide: Reigns, Womens: Charlotte, Tag Cody/Zayn (Ironically teaming as Dynamite Express) SEF have only crowned MJF as TV champion so far. RoH became developmental for CWA, while Impact did the same for SEF, neither has any workers sent to them yet. It seemed like CWA were clearly winning but on day one of the second month they've just lost their A show already so it'll be interesting to see what they do with such a large roster and no way to showcase it.
  20. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="TheChef" data-cite="TheChef" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="50277" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Haha, well maybe not that specific example but it's the type of crap they book. Not long ago they had an actual jobber hold their WWE title for like six months (Jinder).</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> To the best of my knowledge, 21CW weren't trying to crack the India market by putting Cain Carlile in a cage match but I guess I could be wrong. Even then though, Jinder was on TV regularly and won his last 4 televised matches before winning the title. Agreed it's not enough build to get the jobber stink off him, its some build, not a random jobber in a wasted gimmick match early on in a throwaway tv show.</p>
  21. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="TheChef" data-cite="TheChef" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="50277" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I take it you don't watch WWE...</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> When was the last time that happened in WWE? must've been a long time ago. Obviously NXT had a cage match overload recently to try and throw everything against AEW, but they weren't random jobbers put in there with no build.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Also edenborn just to clarify, I'm not complaining about the call up misuse, not everyone can be a star and people do get misused, I only included that to show just how random it was to see someone with no build/momentum or anything of any note in that cage match.</p>
  22. Currently running a save with a developmental fed for 21CW and as I'm keeping track of the 21CW booking to see what my call ups do I've noticed some strange booking choices from the AI. The latest example of this is Cain Carlile was called up a few months ago, barely gets on shows, never won a match. On this weeks TV he lost to BW Eddie..... In a cage match...... half way down the card..... with no build or storyline. I don't think any real world company would book a random cage match, outside of a feud, with a jobber, half way down a usual episode of a TV show. Maybe you'd get it under one of those circumstances, maybe two but doubtful under all of them.
  23. Doing a game with a developmental fed for 21CW, using mostly rookies with a handful of 21CW send downs and one or 2 vets to help the young guys. Brought in Johnny Highspot and Keith Adams on a "higher local" to put over the Black Country Boys and found out they had chemistry so gave them a 6 month deal with the plan for them to feud with Cloaked in Shadows, put them over and leave. Signed them, booked a show on Sunday where they did a run in save to set up the feud, simmed through 2 weeks to get towards my next show and Keith Adams retires with no warning.
