  1. Wasn't it the time they teased a McMahon/Austin match on Raw (which wound up being a setup for a Foley heel turn) that ended Nitro's streak?
  2. Exactly. From what I've seen, the Nigel/Angle feud was great, and despite not coming out on the winning end, Nigel was still put in a position to be a big contributor going forward. And now, he seems to be a complete afterthought. That's a huge waste.
  3. I've mostly been on TNA since the Raw opening segment. Has Bret done anything notable since then?
  4. And what makes you think they could do it any better this time?
  5. They already did something similar with the Main Event Mafia, and it did nothing to elevate the young guys at all.
  6. Someone with a differing opinion. Nothing wrong with that. Personally, I don't have any problem with him being a part of the show--as long as he isn't a focal point.
  7. Not as outrageous as all these random, meaningless surprise appearances. Jeff Hardy was fine. Ric Flair was fine. I didn't need Val Venis, Orlando Jordan or The Nasty Boys, thank you.
  8. Yes, that was INCREDIBLY stupid. The Knockouts tag match aside, this show has been pretty bad from what I've seen (didn't see much of the Hogan promo because I switched over to see Bret.)
  9. You mean you weren't entertained by the surprise appearances of Val Venis, Orlando Jordan and The Nasty Boys?
  10. I would be very surprised if any match on Raw tonight tops that.
  11. I'll take Hamada/Kong over 90% of the WWE roster. But you're right, not nearly enough wrestling.
  12. He's aged better than Scott Hall, at least. I thought that was pretty anticlimactic, to be honest.
  13. Hardy and Flair in the first 30 minutes...very interesting. Not enough to keep me from turning to Raw to see Bret, but interesting anyhow.
  14. Every other word out of Hogan's mouth is a lie, so take that with a grain of salt.
  15. Does anyone actually think about stuff like 'drawing' and 'star quality' while watching the show? Seems like it would suck all the fun out of watching in the first place. I might sit back and think about stuff like that after the fact, but while I'm watching, I just want to be entertained. Nothing wrong with not having anything negative to say. If you're enjoying it, great. But that doesn't automatically make someone who feels differently a smark.
  16. Please explain what part of his post made it a "smark" comment. Being critical of a decision made by the WWE doesn't automatically make someone a cynical smark, you know.
  17. Judging by their matches against each other in WCW, I'd say there's a pretty noticeable size difference between Ultimo and Rey. But I guess it wouldn't be quite as noticeable with just Rey out there, without the real Ultimo to compare/contrast. I give you points for cleverness and figuring out a way to salvage your storyline...and also for not re-doing the show to avoid the injury in the first place. As the Briscoes would say, way to Man Up .
