  1. Peter...did you mean to quote my post, or was that accidental? Don't see why you'd intentionally quote it, as I said I pretty much agreed with your point of view. I enjoy solid women's wrestling personally, but like you said, it's a niche, and not something that should be pushed as the focal point of the company. But push it as a nice side attraction, like WCW's Cruiserweight division? Sure.
  2. I will forever remember So Taguchi's homer off of Billy Wagner in the NLCS. That entire post-season run was really fun to watch, especially since I had the added rooting interest of my older brother having known a member of that team (Jeff Weaver) since they were kids.
  3. Aside from your first sentence, I more or less agree. The Knockouts are (or at least were; not so sure now that Kong is gone) a positive aspect of TNA, and something that they can offer that WWE doesn't. That's great. But that segment should not have closed the show, and entirely too much time was spent hyping it up.
  4. Maybe it's because Otunga seems to be kinda-sorta feuding with Michael Cole's least favorite person in the universe, that uncharismatic, boring nerd named Daniel Bryan. Maybe they won't bother clarifying it until after the draft.
  5. I agree with most everything you said, liontamer. With the exception that personally, I would have much preferred it it Lacey had stayed the hell in the back and let Daffney do her thing. But that might just be me.
  6. I would think that intentional nudity would get Spike in some pretty hot water here in the US.
  7. Am I crazy, or does that look like a different Million Dollar Belt?
  8. Pujols hits two home runs on opening day. Only two, Albert? What a letdown.
  9. I don't know about that. Seeing Homicide lose to some talentless meathead isn't something I really enjoy. And to hell with Shannon Moore, too.
  10. I don't think Khali has been booked as a "bad ass" for quite a while, actually.
  11. They had the lucha guys headline the show? Seriously? That makes little sense to me. BOO at creating a new ROH World title belt. I like the idea of sticking with one belt design. Makes it seem a bit more epic to me, seeing the champs of today carrying around the same belt that Samoa Joe, Punk, Danielson, Nigel, etc. wore. Davey could be the next in line to hold the belt, but if his recent comment about 2010 being his last year in the business holds true, who knows? Davey/Kenny King and the tag title match both sound good.
  12. You're obviously in a better position to judge, since I haven't seen the promo. If he truly is gone from TNA, I'm all for a title reign for the Fallen Angel.
  13. No. It was done more for "shock value" than anything.
  14. That depends. If Daniels is still with TNA, it would make no sense for ROH to give him the title. It's possible they've decided to allow him to work on this show, since it's online only, but I don't see them allowing him to take part in ROH's TV tapings. And I don't think it would make much sense to have a World champion who couldn't appear on your TV show.
  15. I agree. They had two golden opportunities to give him the belt: when he got The Prophecy going, and when he came back during the Summer of Punk. Instead, they had Xavier (seriously?) win the belt for The Prophecy rather than the leader of the group, and passed over Daniels for Gibson. I did really enjoy Gibson's time in ROH, and wasn't necessarily upset to see him win the title, but it would have made more sense for Daniels to beat Punk considering their storyline history.
  16. ...Wha? Daniels was on the PPV? Did he leave TNA then? Kinda wishing I'd ordered the show now...
  17. So, CM Punk level, basically? If so, yeah, I could see Danielson reaching that level, though he doesn't have the natural charisma and microphone skills of Punk (but how many do, really?)

Is that you?!<p> </p><p> It's naive to say he has no personality. I've seen him live, and he's funny as ****. You do get that WWE puts across what it wants, right?</p></div></blockquote><p> Yeah, seriously. He has personality. He knows how to work a crowd There is so much more to Bryan Danielson than just "workrate." Maybe that would be a valid criticism of him in 2002 or 2003, but not now.</p><p> </p><p> As to his drawing power within ROH: I don't really follow attendance figures, and I don't think they release DVD sales figures. But, is he every bit the star (within ROH) as Punk and Joe? Yes. Absolutely, yes. </p><p> </p><p> I don't buy the Dean Malenko comparison, either. Not at all. Dean was a great technical wrestler and I really enjoyed watching his matches, but I don't think he was anywhere near as good at playing to a crowd as Danielson is.</p>

His character invented the concept in the first place.<p> </p><p> You'd think they'd touch upon this but... NOOO <.<</p></div></blockquote><p> They DID mention that Edge was the first one to cash it in, so that's something. But yeah, would've been neat if they had mentioned that it was Jericho's idea in the first place.</p>

It could be a fun episode. I look forward to Punk & Regal's reactions to their rookie's chosen themes.</p></div></blockquote><p> If this were TNA, Daniel Bryan would get a generic knock-off of "The Final Countdown."</p>
  21. If that's a Smackdown spoiler...thank you so much for ruining it. Not everybody reads those, you know.
  22. Despite the fact that the Family Arena isn't in St. Louis, despite what TNA says.
