But when you start at Tiny and only get 90 fans per show while an annual gives you 5 times than that, you have strong incentives to go down this road. <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Annual events are clearly not intended to be used weekly and just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Your workers and company grow too quickly removing any sense of realism or challenge from the game. You have a tiny/small company with jobbers pop in the 60s (higher than large companies' midcarders) - does that seem right to you? If even your jobbers are 'stars' what's the point? If you bring in someone new with low pop, how do they get over if the jobbers refuse to do the job because they are seen as stars? In 2016, I used weekly events (not annual events run on a weekly basis) and eventually everyone got too popular to the point where my rivals offered creative control and wage matching to my jobbers to try to steal them from me. Well, that led to the other companies having imbalanced wage bills they couldn't afford and the whole game world ended up destroyed.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Well. When I created my first dev company and gave them a permanent schedule, they did exactly that: They created ~100 annual shows and made Profit with that.</p><p> </p><p> When the AI is doing it, why shouldn't I?</p><p> </p><p> Especially when weekly events work so poorly, that I can't afford it. - IMO it's a logical defect in the first place.</p>
  3. Same here. I use "Keep Strong" only when a participant of the match is not happy with the outcome and I want to get through with it without annoying him.

I'm pretty sure TV shows give workers 25% of a popularity bump they'd get on an event; plus bigger crowds, no holding back & people willing to do crazy bumps (leading to better matches). Purely numbers wise there's no reason to use TV instead of events.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> And I would also never use weekly events anymore, because they have drastically less attendence without advantages.</p><p> </p><p> The financially best strategy is with lots of annual events. Monthlies are a bit worse, but okay.</p><p> </p><p> As for pop gain of workers, I would estimate the TV effectiveness even lower. In my first game (Big promotion with 2 TV shows) I had wrestlers who were still at a low level after 2 years. In my current (Tiny/Small, 1 event per week) even my permanent jobbers, who always eat the loss, have reached the 60s and have Star status despite having terrible momentum.</p>
  5. I'm not an expert, but I had the most expensive dojo/pc setup in my last game. All recruits in 2 years where at a level, where they needed years of work before they had real value for me. Also, they weren't loyal or true born. So I guess, other companies could sign them away just as easily as your targets. Again, my setup didn't generate any "instant" top talent, that could keep up with my other main roster workers. Just one former boxer, who had crappy skills but high popularity. To me a dojo is more about long-term and kinda a luxus project, when you have a LOT money. When the 1 Mio. is lot for you, I'd rather invest the money differently. E.g. by signing the few remaining top talent to written (10-year?) contracts. You can do that even with a small promotion. As for the Performance Center, it helps to train a small number of your wrestlers (incl. main roster) so they develop quicker. But it doesn't create new talent.
  6. I built Electric Dreamer (pop 89) vs. Fuyoki Higa (pop 98) for half a year. Higa ended the 22 months long title (~170 defenses) run of ED. Both did matches above 95 all the time. But when I had them faced 1-on-1 at the season finales Main Event, they merely did 84. - With "good" chemistry. -_-
  7. I believe so, yes. It's really an issue when you book a smaller promotion efficiently. Your wrestlers pop grows faster than your companys size. In my game I had a dozen wrestlers cap at 55, because my fed was tiny. When I reached small, they jumped to 60 within days. I have now half my roster between 55 and 60, and all are "major stars", which feels a bit weird. Furthermore, major stars seem to get annoyed pretty quickly, when they are not booked for all your events. So this can become a real problem.
  8. Is there a way to create weekly events, that draw same attendence as yearly ones? It's kinda absurd, that Dev companies with full schedule do 2-3 events per week with over 100 automatically generated, while one weekly event draws maybe 10-20% of the annuallies. I'd rather have a nunbered weekly event than a chaotic schedule of yearly events. But the game seems to punish this. Swipe one of the arrows above the Popularity section in the Roster screen. You see contract details there and can release workers. Would be a nice feature though. Your user char dies from taking too much "Hulkamania Vitamins". His younger brother User Char Jr. is taking over. He's healthy, but has no wrestling skills whatsoever.
  9. Apuestas is not about a title, always about mask/hair. If you add the stipulation and have merely the title changed, it should get a penalty. In case you haven't decided the outcome, you should better leave the Apuesta setting out of the Prebooking. - You can still add it on the match day, in case you go through with the unmasking/hair loss.
  10. Both options seem REALY time-consuming. I guess, I'll have to create an own Broadcaster for small money. Thanks!
  11. I'm currently trying my luck with a tiny promotion in Europe and just reached "Small" size. - However, I don't get any broadcaster because my popularity is limited to Central Europe. [and all broadcasters expect pop in multiple regions] What can I do, except creating my own Broadcasting Network?
  12. <p>Why do you guys not just shorten the contract lenght of the desired worker to 1 day? - He'll be gone from the promotion the next day and you can pick him up.</p><p> </p><p> Personally I overpowered my user char in the first game. Killed a lot of fun, so I made him non wrestler in my 2nd.</p><p> Otherwise Sole mild cheats here and there, for personal flavor. And a bis cash boost, so I can instantly create a dojo. - 12 months waiting period is long enough. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

There you can also add new moves for the game, which in the second step can be added to the move set you want to change.</p>
  14. I'm not 100% sure if I connected the right dots since I rarely checked which match/angle/situation caused which alteration of popularity. I just noted the following and could be wrong: - During TV shows participation a highly graded segment often brought a worker around +0,5 pop (events probably more, but I did 8/9 TV shows), as long as he wasn't winner or loser. Regardless of storyline. The winners however took more off when they were involved in SL. Maybe it was indirectly: SL -> better grade -> higher chance for pop boost. - When winning a SL match and especially finishing a hot storyline often gave me big pop boosts, mostly for the winner. I haven't documentated it, hence it's more of a feeling, but a strong one. Overall I did MUCH better for workers I put in SLs. They usually reach cap pretty quickly, while the others stay in the low card for years even though they have the same amount of matches.
  15. All the time. You have to set the "Lucha Apuesta" and "Unmask" notes inside your RoadAgent section during a match. If a worker agreed before in "Talking", you should be fine. It's not very expensive either. I usually paid $6,000 to $12,500. The fans will only be disappointed when you forget to add a mask OR hair loss. When you prebook you can only set Apuesta, which creates the danger to forget the actual loss the show day. Finally, if you like the gimmick, you can do it very often with hair losses. Most male workers have no problem with it (if they have any hair), it costs the same and you don't need to sacrifice a mask, that takes years to build rep, permanently.
  16. Not a question, but a funny incident. In my Backstage Incidents during an event one of my tag teams just offered to put themselves over. (The screen showed pictures of the two, but explicitly said "Los Brujos Infernale" to put over "Los Brujos Infernale".) The bug didn't appear in my "promise" section and doesn't hurt. But it's a funny imagination. - Maybe I should test the two for drugs?!
  17. <p>Increase of pop seems to depend mostly on momentum, storyline and partially on good grades. But decreasing or "bouncing" pop should only happen due to less famous wrestler winning against more famous ones.</p><p> </p><p> My pop levels are pretty fix, except in the above case.</p>
  18. I finally had my first scandal. Extraordinario Jr. was dating Mystery Pink, but did the ring rat shuffle with Gemmei Onishi. Now I have not only the breakup, but also a new dating couple and 3 fresh hate relationships (Xavier Ferrera is friends with Pink and hates the other two). - Finally some fire in my backstage heaven. What to do now? From the practical point of view I don't want to lose any of the 4. Maybe Onishi, who doesn't want to sign a written contract anyway. On the other hand I don't see cheating as a reason to hate/punish someone forever... I'll probably punish Extra mildly by dropping him out of the title picture for a year or so. Maybe I'll give Pink the main title run I was thinking about.
  19. I just experienced the most horrible booking of any child company. Fuyuko Higa is my current Alliance Womens champion and has 98 popularity in my home are. She is also the third most popular wrestler in the world. So my primary child company "MOLLIE" did the most obvious thing: They booked her in a mid card (non title) match against a green regen rookie with a popularity of 17. - And Fuyuko lost. Higa even lost one point popularity, which I haven't experienced during a loan match so far.
  20. Good post. I agree a lot with it. I would also add, that it's too easy to get wrestlers over (until they reach the cap). I'd love a less stale approach, where a wrestler always can get more famous. But not with just "normal" booking. And where other wrestlers naturally decline again, because others overshine them.

  22. What are the limits of hiring an owner or booker for a child company? I just created another feeder league and want to assign Angry Gilmore (who is currently unemployed) for the book. But he doesn't show up in the assignment screen, even though he fits all the filter.

I even put wrestlers with terrible momentum in there (great boost) and with virtually non popularity.</p>
  24. Silver Tiger became Wrestler of the Year 2021 with a match record of 8 to 82. Without winning any titles. Also, my (overpowered) user char won the award as best Colour Commentator, without working that role at all.
