  1. Hmm wonder if TNA has trademarked EY's prefix hehe. Nice going E first stealing finishers, then gimmicks and now prefixes lolz.

It's a little old hat; I'm still actively seeking information about the Bryanson thing, but I think the points that are currently out there are discussed ad nauseum.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> hmm PWG, ROH, DGUSA and I think Evolve have all announced him not much bigger non Japan or televised, which is not allowed under the 90 days no compete, out there.</p>

Spike TV has been involved in the negotiations. And if the rumors are true Heyman would be getting involved in both the ECW angle as well as taking over creative. If the first doesn't happen then the second has the potential to make TNA unwatchable.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> If this report from Gerwick is true then the first part has been discussed over and over but in short if it happens and if Bisch (Format, Production, Marketing) and Heyman ( Creative) can work together it could be great.</p><p> </p><p> On the second really depends what is meant and how TNA would use it. True Hardcore as a main part of a promotion has never drawn very large numbers or profits so they would need to really balance and use it right.</p>

But he is most likely coming back as soon as the wind blows over. Either the senate campaign or the sponsor or both.</p>

I don't. I hate its direction of much as TNA's. The difference is, TNA has the right idea, but going the wrong way about it. WWE has the wrong idea, but they know what they are doing, and they execute it well. <p> </p><p> As for the product, it's not that TNA has no talent. It does. But its management and booking team absolutely sucks. Seriously, Dixie Carter doing management, and Russo doing booking has been an absolute disaster together.</p><p> </p><p> For my life, I can't see how people enjoyed Hogan's recent stuff in TNA. It makes him look bad, he makes TNA look bad, and it looks pitiful. I almost feel sorry for him.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yep much of that was bad, but now that they have moved back to Thursday and it seems that Bisch is taking a more active role in creative and Hogan and Russo less it has gotten a whole lot better.</p>
  7. Yep and house show attendance, merch sales and even ppv buys are up according to all accounts. Off course the home region is the most important and the US is the main market. But when looking at foreign markets you can see if cultural and other influences might be a factor. Would be nice if there was a market where both RAW, Smackdown and Impact had just 1 run, are on the same station and in the same timeslot on a different day.
  8. Not saying they are more popular but I think the Gap is not as big in the UK as in the US. Still as long as we do not get point ratings like in the US it's more guesswork then anything else.
  9. This seems to be an interesting set of data as well. Unfortunately they do not include potential households like the US does but it seems Sky Sports 1 has a higher total viewer number then Bravo. So for TNA to do close to the numbers and sometimes beat the first time viewing numbers of the WWE is pretty good. http://www.barb.co.uk/report/weeklyViewing?_s=3 Also an old report and the numbers have gone down again due to loss of momentum but still: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestling/2917013/TNA-Wrestling-ratings-Hulk-up-in-the-UK-Impact-on-Bravo-gets-huge-boost.html
  10. Still I think 3 hours of new content followed up immediately with a recap and if I remember correctly reaction angles is still a lot for some people. Maybe I do not know where to look but this is all I could find on Sky Sports subscriber numbers. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=31985296 So when they where at 8 mill roughly 6.6 had Sports as well.
  11. TNA sometimes wins and the first RAW showing generally gets beaten if I remember correctly. Still the gap is much smaller then in the US I think even factoring in all those factors.
  12. Huh they need to renew it already? They only just switched to to AAA from CMLLL. Nice on the X Plosion move but 4 hours of TNA? can anyone spell overkill.
  13. Also never bothered to check it as I thought if it wasn't it would have caused a sh1tstorm of epic proportions. I know wrestling has some weird and controversial gimmicks but a made up naval vet using a real life bombing and death of a friend as a story would really really really cross the line.
  14. Seems legit: http://www.stripes.com/news/uss-cole-survivor-finds-his-future-in-the-wrestling-ring-1.102630 http://www.miamiherald.com/2009/08/14/1185693/naval-hero-neal-serves-as-inspiration.html And I think he was featured in stars and stripes magazine.
  15. The question is though is it a sympathy/twitter pop or an overness pop?
  16. Depends on the week but what I am really curious about is the coverage difference between Bravo and Sky.
  17. Yeah I would but it on Tuesday or if not them Wednesday or Saturday. Still 3 shows is good for income. And yeah a 0.9 against the best watched finals in years is a ok. Hope to see TNA back in the 1.1 to 1.3 range soon. And if they keep this quality up and the injured return it could happen. And I will say it for the last time such a shame they needed to lose all that momentum before they got their heads on straight. I so want Heyman ( Creative) and Bisch (Production) to run the on screen product. So still hoping that is the surprise
  18. Yep and generally the E does not like it when their talents do entertainment projects outside of the E umbrella. Now they have some reason for that with people like The Rock and Keibler leaving because of success but they do seem to go overboard sometimes. Most recent examples Maria and Micky.
  19. I am not just talking about the UK and yes there are legit reasons why that is the case in the UK. But I have seen reports indicating that Germany and India are close or sometimes beating WWE as well. Not that I know the channel situation there. Even given those channel situations the gap in viewership is still smaller then in the US. And yeah most people can't flip between them and you are talking about watchers of superstars which is rated lower then TNA. Those people are wrestling fans beyond general, casual or potential fans. Maybe not IWC level but definitely not representing the majority. Anyway this debate should be moved to the TNA thread.
  20. Or Joe's abduction, which gave us the old Joe back. And now we have the old Abyss back as well. Yeah! Anyone else notice Dreamer had left the stands when the Abyss turn started happening? Maybe reading too much into it but hey. Good show overall, some of the matches could have done with some more time, but apart from the Sting vs Jarrett thing I was entertained throughout. Good that Wolf is out Fourtune as he does not need a manager ala Flair or a Valet as much as Kaz does and AJ did.
  21. Yeah I have been talking about the fact that TNA could do with a PG edited Saturday noon Impact for a while now. Past the cartoons and the other traditional wrestling day. Then make a ppv available the next day or week with the option of ordering the PG version. Just cut/blackout/beep out/blur stuff that isn't pg and replace lost time with video packages/entrances/xplosion or web matches etc. I know it would be an increased cost and is not Spike's target demographic and it would be thinking long term, not TNA's strong point, but I really think it could work. Ok going to try and end mentioning them here now.
  22. averaging a 1.2/1.1 actually lolz. And they are back to a 1.0 now on Thursday. With Spike's total prime time average being way below that.
  23. 2 mill if you include the DVR figures probably even more if you include streamers and downloaders. And DVR figures do get included in the ratings when presented to advertisers as Dixie has stated so.
