  1. So very true. I really digged the game up untill that point. Though I strongly disliked the fact that an NPC very essential to the story was made a DLC exclusive. Very, very poor taste from Bioware/EA. At any rate, I don't plan on ever using Origin again. As long as EA refuses to put their games on Steam, I'm not buying them.
  2. The first planet in KoTOR II is probably the worst intro level in any game ever. Man, was it a drag to get through... and it didn't take long for people to make a mod that allowed you to skip the first planet entirely.
  3. Same for me. It has put me in some dire situations so far, but on the other hand I wouldn't have gone without most of the skills I chose to focus on, so...
  4. I too have got Wasteland 2, though I haven't gotten very far yet. I restarted to do 4 customized characters instead of 1 custom + 3 default (you have a squad of 4, to those not aware). It seems like a game with huge potential, feeling and playing a lot like Fallout 1+2 (God I want HD remakes of those games!). In fact, my biggest complaint with Wasteland 2 is a rather unfair one: it's *not* a Fallout game. It simply feels so much like Fallout to me (which, of course, is a good thing) that I constantly find myself wanting it to *be* a Fallout game...
  5. Yeah the final Joker battle was weird, but both games were overall excellent. I have yet to get Arkham Origins though. Waiting for a GOTY/Complete version.
  6. There's such a mode in FIFA these days?
  7. I'm not into American Football, but that career mode sounds awesome.
  8. I finished up The Walking Dead Season 2. Good game, but not as great as the first. The first 3 episodes were pretty strong, but the 4. was borderline horrible - and the 5. never really raised itself above mediocracy; most of the 5. episode, I wished the game was a shooter so I could kill most of the annoying people around me. Never really connected with the characters from this game in the same way as I did in the first, with a few exceptions. The last big action piece was pretty thrilling and well-written though, and I did like that there were so many different endings (and after seeing the alternatives I'm really happy about the choice I made).
  9. I would strongly consider getting WWE2k15 if it was to be ported to PC.
  10. I completed the two storyline dlcs for Dishonored. I overall liked the missions in both, but the story in the first one was so-so. The two shouldn't have been split from one another, they felt like one. The final mission was probably the most tense mission for me in the entire game, and the story of the second dlc was pretty good. Overall, they were an enjoyable extension to the main game. And I'm always a sucker for when stats carry over from an earlier save. Funny story about my purchase btw: last weekend, I noticed that Steam had a Dishonored sale (on top of a free weekend), so I decided to buy the two storyline dlc packs - but as I was about to do so, I noticed that buying just those two was actually more expensive than buying the entire complete package of Dishonored (the main game, these two dlcs + a couple of minor dlcs)... so I of course did that instead, weird as it was.
  11. Seems like Beejus and Jaysin answered this one for me. I am aware that my pre-ECW naming of Team 3D/The Dudleys is confusing to some, but given that they hadn't teamed up by that point yet, I'm not sure what else to do to keep it realistic.
  12. How is it compared to the first one? I did get the first and played it for a while, but it overall felt a bit unpolished and too unforgiven with difficulty in several maps...
  13. You did that from scratch, Clarity? Dang, that's some good work! I could definetely see it on the cover of a comic book. Amazing.
  14. Thanks for the kind words, I'll look forward to see your notes.
  15. That is the idea and purpose behind that particular start date, yes. What about Japan, Mexico and Europe? No love for them? I just don't feel like being artificially limited that way. And I know for a fact that WCW was broadcast all over the world, even non non-Turner channels. So unless the exclusivity is fixed, I won't be making TBS the owner of WCW. Sorry.
  16. My next mod (which I haven't even begun with, mind you) will be July 1996. After that, if I'm still in the mood for it, I'll do 1997 - likely December. Fut that's faaaaaar off. Sorry, but that won't be me. Ask justtxyank for that one. It has been discussed before, and I even did it in an earlier version. But the problem is that if we do that, then WCW will not be able to negotiate *any* other TV deals - not even abroad. So no chance they'll ever be able to be broadcast in Japan or the UK, for instance. I don't like that.
  17. To be honest, I was a bit dissapointed - given the amount of hype it has received. Was it fun and entertaining? Sure, sure. And Chris Pratt was charismatic and charming as hell to watch in that role. But ultimately, it felt a bit flat to me; the villain was lackluster, too many characters had no real purpose and merely served to set up future installments and waaay too many of the "funny" lines (especially from Raccoon) where... well, unfunny. That said, it was still a good and fun movie. I probably just had too many expectations for it, after all the hype. And unlike Marvel's other movies, I knew nearly none of these characters beforehand, which, I guess, meant that I was less engaged in them. But I'll repeat: Chriss Pratt, the guy owned the role. He has a big future.
  18. Well, it depends on the type of game. Some games simply gets boring and repetitive if they drag on for too long. Most shooters are that way, in my opinion. I know that the Modern Warfare series, for instance, gets a lot of flak for a short singleplayer campaign - but I actually think they get the length right, most of the time. Make such games too long, and it's easy to loose interest. Then there's games like Grey Dog's own TEW, Football Manager, Europa Universalis and the likes that contains nearly endless replayability. And of course, there are games in between that can be enjoyed for 40, 80, perhaps even 100 hours before going stale, like Fallout, KoTOR, Mass Effect and similar RPG-heavy games. I enjoy games that take a short time to complete, games that takes a long time to complete and games that are never "completed". It all depends on the type of game, the quality of the game and how well the game is constructed for its' genre. Though I will admit that these days more than previously, I've begun to appreciate the shorter games more - as I don't have as much time for gaming as back in the days, and likes the sense of 'completion' every now and then.
  19. I finished up Dishonored today, after buying it from recommendations in the Steam Sale thread here. It was an enjoyable experience; fun and fairly original gameplay with an interesting story set in a fascinating steam punk-ish world with plenty of room for sequels. I'm now considering whether I should get the two storyline expansions. I really hated the artstyle though, as the goofy style took away from the otherwise fairly serious and dark story.
  20. Anyone bought the Transformers Comics Bundle from Humble Bundle? Being a longtime TF G1 fan and loving the old Marvel as well as the Dreamwave comics, I went ahead and bought the full package. I hope IDW does the series justice.
  21. About 65 % of Marvel readers are men, and men probably find other men easier to identify with than women. Would less males read the comics if Captain America, Spider-Man and Iron Man were suddenly female? Or more importantly: would it help bring in more female readers? Are there more male heroes to cater for the many male readers, or are there more male than female readers due to the lack of female protagonists? Hard to say. Anyway, it will be interesting to see if Marvel can take off with their two upcoming tv shows with female leads. I would personally have picked more interested female characters than those two, but it shall be interesting to follow nonetheless.
  22. Why does it have to be a problem that there are more male than female superheroes, anyway? Superheroes are, essentially, warriors - and through history, warriors have been predominantly male. I'm not saying that there shouldn't be strong female superheroines as well, and I enjoy that X-Men has a fair share. But I don't see a need to push for 50/50. Thor suddenly becoming female is nothing more than a short gimmick to boost sales and get attention, just like Dr. Octopus becoming Spider-Man, Captain America dying, Wolverine dying, etc... things will get to normal soon enough.
  23. Does that mean that I can, for example, read World War Hulk without having to know which individual books I have to find for it myself - the app gathers them for me? That is, if I want to read some of the extensive tie ins in addition to the 10 or so main issues.
