2.
I'm almost there.

The booking screen is better but I dunno....

I'd love bigger grades. I'd love keyboard and scroll wheel support (unless that got added and I missed it).

I'll take a look. Would love to play a full thing of this mod but there are too many QoL issues with 2020 at the moment.

 4. Is anything happening with this? This is one of the worst aspects of the game.
 5. Don't listen to this guy Who. Most of us agree with this decision. Hell, I'm not even buying the game at this point (first time I won't be) and I'm still keeping up with this mod progress because its so good. Waiting patiently for popularity to be adjusted.
 6. It’s not really a list specific to one person, we’re all on the same page. . We all hate the arrows, lists, lack of product customization, etc. No one here is calling out some random ass feature.
 7. It’s incredibly weird that he rewrote it from scratch to get marginally the same product with worse QoL.
 8. Yeah, does the AI get penalized for repetitive matches?
 9. Thanks Who! Question, has popularity in AEW, NXT, and such been fixed/adjusted?
 10.

Very much this. If everyone that does graphics for the game tells you the UI is bad practice, there's something there. I love the game, and I couldn't be more happy that Adam still makes these games, so I'm super appreciative of what has been produced (also appreciative of the graphics guy, who has done a fine job with the second UI), but the UX has been an issue some way or another for as long as there have been TEW's.

Many of the changes would be looked at as objectively "wrong" in any UI/UX class in the world. No UI expert would ever say that the arrow placement on the booking screen is sensible. No UI expert would ever say that it's acceptable having to click a side bar to use the keyboard to scroll one line at a time, when the same could be achieved much faster with a mouse wheel. No UI expert would say that fiddly drop down boxes for attributes is a good idea. No UI expert would ever say it's okay to remove a basic feature like typing to chosing road agent notes.

If you look at who's complaining, it's actually all the people with a background in graphics design. Maybe others don't care enough, or they feel like it's not an issue, but don't pretend it's good practice.

Anyway, no more from me. I actually enjoy the heck out of TEW2020, so I'm off to continue my diary. :-)

Yeah and that’s the problem. No UI expert was consulted (it seems). They’re an integral part of the process and this development seemed to omit them.

As far as all the people endlessly posting “Thank you Adam! It’s just a vocal minority, this game is perfect.” I don’t understand your motivation. There were MAJOR problems with this game, Adam admitted it and made (some) changes. Were the people who complained during the beta just a “vocal minority” then? Because that vocal minority gave you changes that made you such a great game.

The fact remains that we have key members of the community (Genadi is an example) who aren’t happy and might not create mods anymore. If you think the majority of people play because of the Cornellverse you’re kidding yourself. We need a healthy mod community for this game and a lot of Adam’s decisions have damaged that.

 11. It's a thread talking about the release. Everything won't be sunshine and roses. Believe it or not, people have different opinions.
 12. The UI is 100% improved. However the second I got to booking a show the arrows remained the same, because of that it's gonna be a no for me dawg.
 13. I mean, what was wrong with all the old “?” help buttons next to items? There were so many things changed for seemingly no reason.
 14. Amazing! I’d love to be able to play this over the weekend.
 15. Looks good. I'd make a few adjustments. I'd drop Roman down a tier. I'd put Jericho and Moxley up one tier as they have consistently been difference makers in the ratings. I'd also probably drop AJ down. I think this looks good though.
 16. I appreciate your opinion and if you enjoy the game, who am I to take that from you? I used to play the Cornellverse but once I started playing RW and Historical RW mods I had so much more fun. I love Alternate History and the idea of putting Kerry Von Erich in the Hulk Hogan spot in 1984 or trying to overtake WWF with WCW is immensely appealing to me. There were SOOO many things in the Journal that made me believe mods and especially historical mods were really being considered. That no longer seems to be the case. The money isn’t a big thing to me, I make a decent living but it’s more of a principle thing for me at this point. I can’t condone the “It’s my game, this is how you’ll play” mentality. I think we should be able to play the way we want. I think there’s a world where you can turn on or off these options as you see fit.
 17. It’s been said that this isn’t his day job. I honestly don’t know what to say. I don’t know why these decisions were made. I don’t know why more people weren’t consulted. I don’t know why UX/UI experts weren’t invited. I don’t know why testers didn’t raise flags. I don’t know why Adam pitched a game with “less clicking” and the final product is the exact opposite. I honestly don’t have these answers and it just comes off that Adam thinks there’s a specific way people should play and that mods don’t matter.
