IMHO, Buddy Rose was a lot like Dusty Rhodes in build. Both were good talkers, but I think Rhodes was better. However, I believe Rose was the better in-ring worker.

Who knows? Maybe if I continue the AWA a little longer, Rose may be back...with Doug Somers??? 😀

We are reaching a conclusion on who Verne sells to...if he sells! 😲

Well Rose was a mega heel in the PNW.  He was a great talker and he wasn’t always the “Rhodes body double” but it was a battle he had as he got older.  Rose was briefly a face for a short period battling Rip Oliver’s clan and I did like the Crippler, but Rose was always my favorite local guy back in the day.  But I will say despite how good Buddy was, he didn’t quite have the same charisma that the Dream had, but then few did.

  2. Well glad to see the forum running again and this continuing.  Interesting from Vince, Crockett and the Waters/Harry bidders.  I was hoping old Bill Watts might have tossed his name in.  I know he gets a bad rap from his time at WCW but he is about as old school as Verne.  I always wonder what would have happened if he got the permanent time slot on TBS.

As an old school fan of the PNW, I’m hoping to see Playboy Buddy Rose in your future.

  3. TCP1 this is the second one of your diaries I got in at the ground floor (the first being your foray into NYCW with Ralph Liotta becoming "the man"). It was a pleasure to watch you grow while sticking to what makes NYCW charming. It's always tough when you are "winning" in your game as you get bigger and bigger and start to bring in big stars because it's tough to not lose that scrappy underdog identity. I think you did a good job managing it, especially with Riley getting his roses as the MVP of it all the way through.

I'll look forward to your next project. I'm continually in the process of debating turning my personal game into a diary on here, I haven't had a crack since I was in high school in TEW2010...

I agree if you have time you should definitely turn one into a diary. Good luck!

Question - Did I see Cousin Solly in a match against the Fantastic Express. I know there was a little tension but did I miss something?

  6. Damn can’t believe I forgot to post on the last show. I was in the running for top 2-3. Well here goes nothing anyway

    EEE Supershow: Halloween Hell 2025

EEE World Heavyweight Title: Davis Wayne Newton vs. Valiant vs. Dreadnought vs. Cameron Vessey ©

This is really a compelling match. I generally am not a big fan of these type of matches because these are often a cluster-bleep. But this has a good story with lots of angles. There are so enticing personal issues or intrigue between them.

EEE Intercontinental Title: The Eagle vs. Prime Time Jack Pryde vs. Honest Frank Jr ©

The Eagle takes the fall as I don’t see a hot switch back.

EEE World Tag Team Titles: The Fabulous DeColts vs. The Stone Foundation vs. The Fantastic Express ©

I think the time is right, to move things forward.

Aaron Andrews, Charlie Corner & George Trapesi vs. Trent Shaffer, Riley McManus & Pepper Pelton

    Faces get the win

Fro Sure vs. Danny ‘The Kid’ Hagman

It’s time for Fro to really get going heading into the new year. For whatever reason the injury and time off haven’t helped the Kid at all.

    Robby Griffin vs. Chip Martin

I probably should go with Chip but can’t see all of DWN’s side losing

The Combat Club vs. The Twin Powers

Time for the Keenan Family to reboot. They’ve been on a downward spiral for awhile and Keenan doesn’t like losers. I’d like to see his stable re-emerge in the new year.

Big Jon Walker & The Texas Roughriders vs. Monty Trescarde & New School Principals

The Texans are going somewhere, the new school group isn’t.

    Seiji Jimbo vs. Cali Slick

Time is about up for Cali….tick tock

  7. EEE World Heavyweight Title: Davis Wayne Newton vs. Cameron Vessey ©

This has the feeling of a schmooze finish. If Vessey beats him clean then no rematch. I’m going on a limb with DWN getting the win by DQ or CO as no one else is really knocking at the door for a shot. No title change.

Ladder Match for EEE Intercontinental Title: Danny Hagman vs. Prime Time Jack Pryde ©

Hagman hasn’t looked great yet, so no title change.

EEE World Tag Team Titles: The Twin Powers vs. The Stone Foundation vs. The Fantastic Express ©

The Powers take the L here, that is a definite in my mind (or is it an elimination match?). My gut says your taking the dive with the Stones

Aaron Andrews & Charlie Corner vs. Shaffer & McManus

I’ve been calling for the Talent Riley breakup and it doesn’t appear to be happening. Of course now that I’m taking them they will implode lol. Not sure I see this Ace-Cool tag team going anywhere

    Fro Sure vs. Dreadnought

I like Fro Sure and he deserves a quality win, but I don’t think he is Dreadnought’s 1st pinfall loss. Maybe a funky finish coming.

    Valiant vs. Chip Martin

Can Chip really beat Valiant? Naw

George Trapesi vs. ‘The Perfect One’ Pepper Pelton

Triple P has fallen on some rough times of late, but Georgie has seen his stock bottom out. I think it’s time to remember just how talented the Star is.

Big Jon Walker vs. Honest Frank Jr

Honest Frank Jr is he a face, is he a heel? Will he continue to flounder? Big Jon is big but he was the secondary of the 2 henchmen for HFJ, so we will go with the better worker.

The Animal & The Eagle vs. Frantic Ali & Cali Slick

Eddie Howard vs. The Masked Mauler

These bottom 2 matches are tough calls. I’m basing my choices on the disappointment in the workers and the likelihood they will not be resigned with so many big names coming up soon.

  8. EEE World Heavyweight Title: Valiant vs. ‘The Man’ Cameron Vessey ©

I’d like to see Valiant get the win by DQ to try and preserve that Merch business. But I’d be the only person calling for that so….I’ll chicken out and say Vessey wins

Steve Flash Trophy Final: Davis Wayne Newton vs Riley McManus

I was set to go with McManus here but I’ll stick with Face-heel divide

Steve Flash Trophy Semi A: Charlie Corner vs. ‘The Georgia Bulldog’ Riley McManus

Steve Flash Trophy Semi B: Davis Wayne Newton vs. Trent ‘The Talent’ Shaffer

It would be fitting in their storyline for Riley and Trent to go at it, I think We see DWN embrace his new found babyface role

EEE Intercontinental Title: Honest Frank Jr vs. Prime Time Jack Pryde ©

Could be a switch but with the sudden change the last few months I’m going to stick with PT baby

EEE World Tag Team Titles: The Twin Powers vs. The Fantastic Express ©

I think the Powers are done as tag team champs

    Fro Sure vs. Dreadnought

    Keep the monster rolling

Aaron ‘The Ace’ Andrews vs. ‘The Perfect One’ Pepper Pelton

The Ace is out of the PR doghouse

    Eddie Howard vs. Danny Hagman

Let’s see if Hagman can find his old magic

George Trapesi & Combat Club vs. Generation Alpha (Chip Martin & Stone Foundation)

Martin can eat the loss here

Really a good and interesting start to your story! I’ll be following along

  10. EEE Supershow: Aftermath

EEE World Heavyweight Title: ‘The Man’ Cameron Vessey vs. Valiant ©

I’m really torn on this a bit. I see the cash cow on Merch that Valiant is and wouldn’t want to see that slow down. But then you have the new stable and the huge boost it would give them for Vessey to win. Then there is the old man and having his son win the title in his company. I’d like to see it play out but I’ll go with pulling the trigger now.

EEE Intercontinental Title: Danny ‘The Kid’ Hagman vs. ‘The Perfect One’ Pepper Pelton vs. Honest Frank Jr vs. Prime Time Jack Pryde ©

Prime Time deserves a bit longer run

EEE World Tag Team Titles: The Stone Foundation vs. The Fantastic Express ©

It would cap off a helluva night if the Stone’s grabbed the titles. But too much too soon?

Aaron Andrews & Charlie Corner vs. Trent Shaffer & Riley McManus

I keep thinking that these two Riley and Shaffer are going to implode so I’ll stick with it even though that hasn’t happened…yet

George Trapesi vs. Davis Wayne Newton

Trapesi is directionless right now. Maybe Angry will get in his ear some more

    Fro Sure vs. Dreadnought

    Huge win for the Monster

The Combat Club vs. The Twin Powers

    The club is suddenly floundering

The Martin Bowl: Jaylon Martins vs. Chip Martin

Well clearly now young Chip gets a win on a big show

The Texas Roughriders vs. Frantic Ali & Cali Slick

Have Ali and Cali not been renewed?

  11. EEE Starclash II

EEE World Heavyweight Title: Davis Wayne Newton vs. Valiant ©

This storyline with DWN and Valiant is intriguing to me. You just got Valiant back up over 500k in Merch, I’d hate to plug the plug right now. Plus I still think Vessey is the plan. With the Booker on a bit of the hot seat and Valiant Larry’s gut for now. I see Valiant retaining.

Ladder Match for EEE Intercontinental Title: Prime Time Jack Pryde vs. ‘The Perfect One’ Pepper Pelton ©

Pep has really won all the big matches in this “feud” but Prime Time seems to be where the money (Merch again) is. I say it’s time for PT to get he gold!

EEE World Tag Team Titles: Trent Shaffer & Riley McManus vs. The VCC ©

I’m going upset here although I still think Trent and Riley have “issues” that could really derail this

EEE Stomper Memorial Cup: The Fantastic Express vs. Dreadnought & Big Jon Walker

Walker is the weak link or at least he has been that way for the longest time. Not sure a tag team is the best use of Dreadnought. Fantastics get a shot at the new champs.

Cage Match: George Trapesi vs. ‘The Man’ Cameron Vessey

I feel a bit for Trapesi. He’s kind of become a forgotten star with some of he bigger names that have rolled in. Vessey is positioning for a title shot and he gets put into position here.

Fro Sure & Eddie Howard vs. Cali Slick & Frantic Ali

In looking at this it feels like the heels have to go over to keep something going. I don’t think we know what the “past” issue the heels keep talking about to see the “real” Fro Sure. Maybe it gets revealed (or I missed it) this coming month. Could this be a setup with a turn?

Aaron Andrews & Charlie Corner vs. The Stone Foundation

Can the Stones get a win over the Ace? It’s a huge opportunity but each time I think they get a HUGE win they take a step back. Not this time as CaliCool starts to lose his steam.

Angry Gilmore & Thom Barrowman vs. The Twin Powers

No question in my mind it’s the last hurrah

Chip Martin vs. Honest Frank Jr

Sorry just not seeing where the Chip experiment is going at the moment. Honest Frankie is too good to be jobber in the 2nd match of the night to a lower midcard guy

    One-Shot Battle Royal. The Eagle

  12. Holy crap on losing the TV show and then the ban on not being able to get another show on anywhere for a year. That is really going to throw a monkey wrench into things. Maybe Larry shouldn’t have raided the till so quickly!

    EEE Supershow: The Climb

Gang Wars: Valiant, Aaron Andrews & George Trapesi vs. Davis Wayne Newton, Cameron Vessey & Honest Frank Jr

Great star power but thrown together in a main event. Yes it centered around the upcoming World title match but there was not much promoting such a matchup. I’m sure it will be presented well and looking forward to a segment that sets it up on the show.

EEE Intercontinental Title: Fro Sure vs. ‘The Perfect One’ Pepper Pelton

Pep hangs on, barely after bailing on Prime Time in the Quarters. I see Prime Time coming in and attacking Pep to set up one final battle

Stomper Cup Quarters: The Fantastic Express vs. Cross River Connection

The Perfect One has had enough of the reunion and walks out on Prime Time to concentrate on his title defense.

Stomper Cup Quarters: The VCC vs. Trent Shaffer & Riley McManus

This just can’t seem to stay on the same page. Jealousy rips this team apart

Stomper Cup Quarters: Eddie Howard & Bradley Blaze vs. The Stone Foundation

Blaze is getting a boost but in the end he’s been a jobber to the stars.

Stomper Cup Quarters: Thom Barrowman & Angry Gilmore vs. The Twin Powers

End of the ride for these two. So did you convince Barrowman to unretire or did he never really retire from in ring competition?

    Charlie Corner vs. Dreadnought

This might be the most intriguing match on the show. Corner has been a good young talent, but he failed to deliver a few times in the spotlight. Dreadnought had a really nice performance in the Royale. Going to side with the momentum here

The Eagle & The Animal vs. Cali Slick & Frantic Ali

These two need a win to build back some mo in the feud with Fro Sure

  13. Glad to see you are still going. I might have to retire up my women’s diary.

  14. EEE Empire Royale 2025

Winner of the Royale: Cameron Vessey

    Runner-Up of Royale: Aaron Andrews

3rd Place in Royale: Honest Frank Jr

4th Place in Royale: Davis Wayne Newton

    Most Eliminations: Dreadnaught

    Longest Run: George Trapesi

EEE World Heavyweight Title: Charlie Corner vs. Valiant ©

Corner is there yet and while Valiant might be a transition champion, we are waiting for the Vessey vs Valiant match for a change

EEE World Tag Team Titles: Trent Shaffer & Riley McManus vs. The VCC ©

I’d love to see this team succeed but there is always a wrench in things with them

EEE Intercontinental Title: Bradley Blaze vs. ‘The Perfect One’ Pepper Pelton ©

This one has me scratching my head a bit. Not about who wins, but why?

Street Fight: Fro Sure vs. Frantic Ali

  15. EEE World Heavyweight Title: Valiant vs. Davis Wayne Newton ©

Valiant might win but again no title change!

EEE World Tag Team Titles: The Twin Powers vs. The VCC ©

Surely we are not going into another period of hot shooting the tag titles.

EEE Intercontinental Title: Prime Time Jack Pryde vs. Pepper Pelton vs. Honest Frank Jr ©

You know Prime Time has been on the short side of the stick in this feud on most the PPV’s so it feels like his time

    George Trapesi vs. Cameron Vessey

Anyway say we need a rubber match?

    Fro Sure vs. Frantic Ali

Can’t bring him in with the hint of the backstory and not have him go over unless you beat Fro down after a quick win

The Fantastic Express vs. Honest Frank Jr & Dreadnought

This match and the subsequent title match to follow is really stacking the deck up against Honest Frank Jr. Could it be a double loss night?

Aaron Andrews & Charlie Corner vs. The Stone Foundation

Could be a very rough night for team Canada

The Biggins Boys vs. Trent Shaffer & Riley McManus

The boys have been reduced to the retirement home

    The Eagle vs. Monty Trescarde

The Eagle is on a little push run

Angry Gilmore vs. The Masked Mauler

Angry has been on a real negative roll of late and with his declining ability it’s justified. So Heart and Soul continues the Angry slide
