  1. Equally likely there is no specific double voter, but instead a vote manipulator. Either way, yes I think that Destiny slipped and knew something we didn't.
  2. <p>Here is what was kicking around in my head the last hour and a half:</p><p> </p><p> *Did Destiny really kill TBP? He claimed role blocker which would give him a reason to be there, and there was a kill the night after he was lynched. MLT said she followed Destiny to TBP so all that does is confirm who Destiny targeted.</p><p> </p><p> *If we were wrong on Destiny, that makes it either 4-3 town or 3-1-3 town. So we have to get it right this phase. That said, I think that Destiny was more likely scum than not. But just in case, be wary.</p><p> </p><p> *franticloser, I am a little suspicious of you and here's why. First, your claim is a really easy fake claim because you can just say "oops I was wrong" every night. Second, now you are on the 2nd likely lynch vote, and of course, while town needs to lynch scum, scum want lynches to reduce town numbers. So I'm gonna ask <strong>who were your 2 targets?</strong></p><p> </p><p> *Who is the scum team? Of course the biggest question. Holding my vote for later, unless any other developments come to light, it will be on Paws.</p>

That's me trying to give you advice in your first game. Feel free to remove your vote.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> This is from Day 2, really early in the phase. Bolded the part that felt wonky.</p><p> </p><p> 4 explanations come to mind, from what I believe most to least</p><p> 1. Destiny knew there was a double voter/vote manipulator, and who it was, so his count was off. Making Destiny and probably either Leion or Frantic scum. This was a slip.</p><p> 2. Destiny counted wrong and thought MLT voted.</p><p> 3. Destiny counted wrong and thought lynch was at 4 votes.</p><p> 4. Destiny was lying to try to get fewer people to vote on himself.</p><p> </p><p> My number 1 suspect for the phase is Paws, who I still don't think we have seen (could be wrong, 5 minute skim on work break).</p><p> </p><p> Back to work, break is over, got 1.5 hours or so until lunch, I plan to check back then.</p><p> </p><p> Also this game seems way more powerful than I would have guessed.</p>
  4. I can tell you that I am town, eager to help said town, and have no new information at this juncture. I feel bad for that Rayelek guy though. What an untimely death, poor fellow.
  5. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Leion" data-cite="Leion" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46998" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I get the hesitation I do,but without another viable option, we can't really be sure on who is right. All we know is that Destiny was with TBP, you might say that others could have been there, but we really can't know that, we have one lead, if we don't use it now. MLT would probably get nk and we still lose someone that stuck her neck out for the town. <p> </p><p> the more I think about this, the more I feel you are just trying to delay Destiny getting lynched and force us into an indecision. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> /nod</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> The problem is I see the scum play here. Accuse someone you want dead with fake evidence. You say they were there, they say they weren't, in theory the town goes along and you lynch a townie, and the town doesn't even realize because the game is dark.</p><p> </p><p> 1 in 6 odds of hitting town power on that front. 1 in 3 if we have 2 power roles. 1 in 9 I suppose for the person they picked targeting the dead person. So 1 in 54, probably 1 in 27 that its a scum play and they got lucky.</p><p> </p><p> Actually doing the numbers talked me into it, its less likely than it feels.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>Vote: Destiny</strong></span></p><p> </p><p> And on that note, I'm going to sleep, my daughter will be up in about 6 hours.</p>
  6. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="moon_lit_tears" data-cite="moon_lit_tears" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46998" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Ray....What do you think I do? Destiny has not denied he was with TBP how would I know he was there? If you don't buy my claim, you're saying I got pretty lucky on a guess?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Watcher. My guesses for town power would be investigator/cop, role blocker or protector, and the rest vanilla like dead outlaw. Probably 2 power roles.</p><p> </p><p> I think if Destiny is town, then its the scum team casting shade on a good player using a power claim that probably isn't going to be refuted by someone having the same role.</p><p> </p><p> As said, more likely is simply that Destiny is scum and got caught. But I'm not confident enough to vote on it tonight.</p>
  7. Occam's razor says Destiny killed TBP. That said, pardon the meta argument, but Destiny's claim sounds more likely to be in a 10 player game than MLT's. With both claiming power roles and not being confident, I'm not risking dropping a vote tonight Was checking out Paws' posts because she hasn't been back yet, and this exchange raises some questions. The thing that bugs me the most is franticloser sounding like he's not sure what townie roles look like, and Paws fishing.
  8. Thats fair, I've been gone for a day and half. Spent the last 2 days flipped between the new Magic set dropping on MTG Arena and taking care of my daughter. I need to reread the thread if anyone asked me anything, I missed it in my skim and wasn't taking notes catching up, so no new reads yet. I'll be in and out until I go to sleep, and hopefully in the late morning tomorrow before end of phase. First impressions of the phase, while I see the evidence presented against Destiny, right now I don't see the reason to vote if MLT won't. Unless you have a vote dependent ability or something like that (which is almost definitely not in this game), no reason not to back up your words with a vote. Makes me feel like something is off, especially this far into the phase. Gonna go back and read 90ish posts again now.
  9. For the record, I'm gonna say lets not vote for theelectrickg just for not being here yet. Would rather see if a replacement becomes available.
  10. <p>Leion for the aforementioned comment, Zergon for starting the meta discussion, theelectrickg for not being here.</p><p> </p><p> All normal stuff that people do that is sometimes scum hiding and sometimes normal and innocent.</p><p> </p><p> Since it is majority and not plurality, I am fine with no lynch this phase, but if I had to pick someone, it would probably be Zergon, dude always seems to be on the scum team and he is on the very small list of probably innocent people.</p>
  11. <p>Yesterday was wild. Not much time this morning, leaving in half an hour and aside from breaks, I am busy for about 14 hours. It'll probably be night phase by the time I'm back on.</p><p> </p><p> Not a lot going on so far but just in case, any early reads? I have 3 on my list with negative ticks so far.</p>
  12. I'm here. Just got home from training for my new 2nd job. This week isn't going to be great for me on the activity front because I have extra shifts for training, but I'll check in on work breaks and before bed like now. Speaking of bed, I'm gonna sleep. Back in 12ish hours.
  13. <p><strong>Who is CGC?</strong></p><p> </p><p> Short answer: Dan DaLay, The DeColts, Adrian Garcia, Gargantuan</p><p> </p><p> Longer answer: It all pretty much starts with the DeColts. CGC is, or was, a story about Steve, Alex, Ricky and Jack, not in that order for various reasons. For years, some combination of those 4 has been standing up to evildoers of various sizes, a few for much longer. Since there was Alex, there has been The Giant Among Giants, Dan Dalay. A pretty decent but not amazing big man who would have been a midcard monster in the "big leagues" but flourished opposite the DeColts. Especially when he joins The Elite, as led by Adrian Garcia, who has transitioned from enemy to asset at the commentary table. And as Dalay stopped being the biggest threat to the Golden Family, a new threat emerges, bigger than Dalay, stronger than Jack (maybe), smarter than Alex (probably not?), faster than Ricky (I should stop now, huh?), the mighty Gargantuan. He is the CGC enemy for the next age, the monster to conquer, the problem to solve. If the game had a new generation of DeColts besides Ian Identity, I would say DeColt vs Gargantuan would be the DeColt vs Dalay of the next generation. Any of the side roles (alternate threats, DeColt allies, tag teams and lower card guys) have a lot more flexibility in who fills those roles.</p><p> </p><p> Metaphor Answer: if CGC is the comic book world, then lets use the Marvel Cinematic Universe (at least up til Endgame).</p><p> </p><p> The DeColts are the Avengers, and not just that, they're the ones who get solo movies and anchor the franchise, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America.</p><p> </p><p> Dan Dalay is Hydra, hes always there and sometimes hes a big deal and hes almost always trouble for minor characters.</p><p> </p><p> Adrian Garcia is Loki. Hes tricky, he may pretend to be on your side but he will get what he wants in the end. And he doesn't want to do anything for himself.</p><p> </p><p> Gargantuan is Thanos. Hes the biggest of the big bads. When it all comes down to it, you may have stopped him, but you are so much worse for wear. And then he travels through time and you have to stop him again.</p><p> </p><p> Also as part of this metaphor because I just thought of it and it's so perfect, Drake Young is Deadpool.</p>
  14. Either TCW or continuing the local to X game I started just to grab achievements.
  15. /in but I will have far less time than before
  16. I start a new work schedule tomorrow, gonna see how it goes before deciding for sure.
  17. Looking for a cheesy weather-based tag team name for Sunburst & Hurakan. My creativity is escaping me.
  18. A few off the top of my head: *The Rock promo in Little Rock vs Angle & Regal (since the Rock is in Little Rock, the Rock is gonna tell you a little story with Little Regal & Little Angle) *Brian Kendrick rapping at Cena *I don't remember the exact promo but CM Punk "This isn't CM Punk talking to Triple H, this is Phil Brooks talking to Paul Levesque" cue mic getting cut.
  19. Started a new game as a local company yesterday in the C Verse. Made it to June, trying to get over the hump to Small but its tough because I am hitting regional battles already. In the 3 months I have been in them, I have come in 3rd, 3rd, and 5th (South West USA). I am getting my best ratings from Amazing Fire Fly and Kamikaze, while Davis Wayne Newton is my top star. Also I was yesterday years old when I realized Davis can't play babyface anymore so he is due for a heel turn. My NBTs are Felipe Caballero and Hudson Drake. Neither is getting the proverbial rocket on their back but both are being kept pretty strong. I just added some more midcard/jobber guys in Lucas Danger, Brimstone, and El Orgulloso, bringing my roster up to 15 guys which I don't feel is too bad. Once we hit small, I'll be crowning champions and maybe adding a bigger name or 2.
  20. Hype hype hype Shane Nelson, Bobby Thomas & Ryan Powell vs Blockbuster, Skip Beau & Diablo DeVille Dan DaLay & Robin DaLay vs Chris Flynn & Hugh DeArrrrrske Dice Elderberry vs Mario DaSilva Dermott Ayres vs Jack DeColt

The "good guys" will keep the current name, The Spot, and that'll be Brilliant White, Cannonball Logan, and Sharif. Looking for a name for the splinter group led by Rave (still using his Clubber gimmick) and also featuring Strife (Troublemaker gimmick) and Russel Nixon (Punk gimmick).</p>

  23. Take me out for now, the crack in my phone screen finally got to the point where half the screen doesn't work (a year or so later), and my laptop doesn't charge consistently. If my PC gets moved over or my phone gets fixed before the game starts, I'll /in again.
  24. If it were me, I would probably just call them The Yard. They run the yard. The yard goes where they go. Etc..
