  1. Right. And I don't want you to take my comment as a direct attack to you, it was more just a venting of peoples general know it all attitude sometimes. You may or may not be right, but without numbers, and knowing the cost that go in to the PPV's, a down time might still equal money. Lets face it, the whole industry is in a down period of sorts, so of course the PPV's are down. Didn't WWE just hit record or near record lows for one of their recent PPV's? True as that is, we don't know if at that low they are losing money like mad or not. I just don't get how promoting top PPV matches on special event shows is more logical at this day an age. If you do that, then you cut under every other free show you offer by making certain ones more important.
  2. Expert opinions from experts. I feel like unless anyone can see the books and see what kind of revenue is generated from PPV's, or debts for that matter, blind statements like this should be avoided.
  3. You know, I'll admit that I don't hardly watch WWE anymore, but I do sometimes read up on it. Sin Cara a star? He won that tag match with Cena against Miz and Riley, yes, but that doesn't cement him as a star. Nor did his win over Primo cement him as a star. Is he interesting, sure...but by no means do I buy in to him being a star yet. Del Rio won the Rumble, lost at Mania and because of Edges retirement he was never able to get his heat back in that feud IMO. I have a feeling Del Rio is on the Sheamus train, meaning he is a guy who is supposed to be hot property but I feel like he'll be back to a midcard act soon. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe these guys are big stars right now, but if thats the case then it shows how shallow and star deprived the WWE roster is at the moment.
  4. The "draft" is stupid. Anyone realize it's more of a lottery than draft? Someone should tell the WWE the difference. Also, when you move top stars from A to B and top stars from B to A, you do a real good job of just switching what night you see the same things, by now, switching top stars does not create new feuds because nobody new has really been built up in years. I mean, when the brands first started it was kinda during the early ruthless aggression era when a couple new stars were built and when they got moved, it was actually somewhat interesting. Now, however, the same top dogs just keep getting shuffled and it seems utterly pointless to me. Ooh well.
  5. Am I the only one who think Kaz looks like a putz in nearly every picture? I think the mask was doing the man wonders honestly...
  6. Maybe long term, yes. I am like most other people who think a few gimmick PPV's aren't bad, but this is a bit overkill. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the buy rates start to drop again in a year or two. Yeah, a Hell In A Cell themed PPV is cool, but eventually it gets to be just another PPV like the old ones used to. I think in general its killing the spirit of what the PPV's should be, and instead of the shows having stories that drive to the PPVs, the PPV's are creating the stories for the shows to drive to now. Does that make sense? Anyway, its going to kill some of the interest in what match John Cena and Randy Orton are having this month, because now we know if its at Hell In A Cell well its probably a HIAC match. Not a fan, but I'm guessing a few guys at the top saw increases in buys for the few PPV's that have been gimmicked and this is the result.
  7. Probably the people who saw the buy rates increase on the gimmick PPV's so far.
  8. Is that supposed to be sarcastic? Anyway, rumor mill says that TNA is a green light on moving to Monday nights in the near future, being live just about every other week. The speculated time slot is 8-10pm or 9-11pm. I would assume those are EST but the article didn't say.
  9. Its still quite possibly these two could meet at WM. At least from what I know, I missed the 2nd half of RAW tonight but the whole tag champs things has me thinking maybe Shawn goes to SD, gets in the SD chamber or something. Or did I hear the SD chamber is going to be for number one contender? I can't remember right now.
  10. Yeah, im just surprised that the crowd didn't care about Edge at all and kinda wanted him out of there. Also, did anybody really think Cody Rhodes stood a chance against Cena? Finally, I love Cody Rhodes enterance, "Ooh, you mean the ring is behind me?"
  11. RAW Spoilers in post- Edge isn't getting a very good face reaction as you would expect for him returning off injury, despite attacking Jericho on the mic. Thats...odd. He is getting boo'd on nearly everything he has said, except when he mentioned he lost to Undertaker. Shame too, because I'm really happy to see Edge back.
  12. Pretty much, but I personally don't associate the words Intercontinental and World as closely together as Global and World. At least intercontinental is more of different term that is used far less as a synonym as Global and World.
  13. NEWS BREAK- Rumor has it Hulk and Eric are looking to bring back the Dupp Cupp. Stan Dupp also known as Trevor Murdoch has already been contacted as has Bo Dupp. No word of if the ticket lady or Tiny the time keeper will return however. -------------------------- Okay so thats not true...sadly. Anyway, am I the only one who hates having a Global and World title? WHAT THE EFF IS THE DIFFERENCE?!
  14. If this had a decent ending, it might work itself out, but this is WWE and well, they don't get things worked out properly a lot of times. This being said, I don't always see Smackdown, and I'm sure I've probably missed a segment or two but have any other divas just told Mickie she's fine? It seems like every diva that I've seen get dragged in all just seem to go, "Yup, you're fat."
  15. I wonder about this statement every show they keep dragging out the Piggy James segments. No, she isn't a size 0 so OMG SHE MUST BE FAT. I think its just a shame that they parade around a perfectly fine sized woman as fat, which could have some influence in effecting some younger girls in the crowd.
  16. I second that you and Payne should work together to get the C-Verse done...then Ive got a second suggestion too, maybe create a generic set of title belts for people? I know sometimes I get a fed name and logo, but the lack of having a belt I can use is kind of a drawback sometimes, so I just copy other peoples federations and steal belts you guys make. So, I was thinking, look at Paynes TCW belt, its a good quality belt, but check the side plates, you could make two belts, one with a full sideplate covered in cold, and another one with an empty box where people could copy and paste their own logos from the logo thread. It would save wait times, probably satisfy alot of people, and for people who still wanted customs then they could use them as holdover titles! Just a suggestion. Keep up the great work!
