  1. After some thought, i looked about and saw no reason not to get Fire Pro Wrestling Returns(currently Downloading). Any help on getting mods for it and how to instal them?
  2. I saw that PSN classics has Fire pro wrestling returns for about 10 bucks. Anyyone know if that's a good deal or not? Never played the fire pro series.
  3. I'll get around to posting a real reply. Glad you took the job and reviewed this. School Days is a video game, and this is the bad ending, so to speak. I like that they went for it and didn't shy away from how bad things could get. There's no cop out and while i agree with you about the half and half nature of the show, it really does go for the throat in the last few episodes. I'm glad i watched it but not really. I've been looking for something like it for a long time. I'm a big Harem guy and love slice of life shows. I always hate the wishy washy MC and School Days almost scratched an itch to see something more real and different. The ending is very different from what i was looking for but hell, the makers didn't shy away. I'm kinda glad of that. Over all i'd give it a C- as it does a solid job of building up things as a simple harem show. Then it starts down it's path to insanity. In the end, no one is likeable and everyone gets what they deserve. I think i'm gonna wash my brain with Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Great reviews. Next time lets find you something a little less brain scarring.
  4. I really dug Dog and Scissors. It's crazy and fun. It's different and has a charm all it's own. I agree with the review, a C is right where it is. I'm hoping for a second season but not hopeful. I have watched it a time or three, it's one of the few anime that i like to go back to just because it's pretty cool.
  5. Loved the review for Black Bullet, i find it a really solid and good anime. It's both funny and heartbreaking. The relationship between Rentaro Satomi and Enju is really sweet and they make a nasty team. My fav is Tina Sprout. She's just adorable. I'm waiting for the next season, i hope it's coming.
  6. If you dig Frankie Boyle, check out his work on Mock of the Week. I also love Jimmy Carr, a more posh version of Frankie, check out his stuff and 8 out of 10 cats on youtube.
  7. Good review, i'll likely skip this show. Substandard Mecha shows are always skippable, maybe on a slow day i'll check out the first episode.
  8. That's a good way to review them. I haven't seen Captain Earth but i'm assuming it's just a cheeky Mecha series. Black Bullet is a tad darker of a tale but very good. Dog and Scissors is just silly and fun. Then there's School Days, we'll remember you fondly around here my friend. 1st: Captain Earth 2nd: Black Bullet 3rd: Dog & Scissors 4th: School Days
  9. You are a bad man and should feel bad. School Days is one of those things that will either make you like anime more, or kill your love of it. I still not recovered from it.
  10. If you are still looking for things to watch, i'll give ya these two. From Crunchyroll, so not sure if you'll get them or not. Dog & Scissors:current day romp with a crazy writer and her, well pet, dog. My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU: A slice of life comedy with one of my favorite MC's of all time. If they aren't available then i'll see if i can find something else that i've seen that's not on the main pages list.
  11. Studio Ghibli really has a knack for putting out some of my favorite films and shows, reguardless if they are animated or not. My Neighbor Totoro is a fine example of what they offer. It's just a great film and worthy of the grade you gave it. I need to get a full Studio Ghibli collection oneday. So much goodness there.
  12. I really loved Bakemonogatari. Such great style and good story. I have yet to see teh others in the series but i'm going to have to. If it's close to how Bakemonogatari is, then i'll know i'll dig it. Good stuff bud.
  13. I'm a bit of a sucker for romance shows so i think i'll have to give this one a shot. Seems like it'll be good to check out.
  14. Both of the last two reviews, Sekirei and Haiyore!- Nyaruko-San are spot on as for what i think of them. Nyaruko is one of my favorites, it's crazy and insane, it's sweet and silly. There's just so much to love about it from the Tsundere that is Mahiro to the pop culture references and of course the way the creators just turn the whole Mythos on it's head. I'm a huge fan and recommend it to anyone that loves something funny. Sekirei is a different animal all together. All action and fanservice. It's got an interesting plot in there, somewhere and saying that after 4 years that no 3 season has come out, is sad and likely means that it'll stop where it is in the animated form. I would love another season to wrap things up but i still find it worth watching. It's got some great characters and who doesn't like panty shots and giggly boobs. Tsukumi is my favorite. That's a good double shot to watch one after the other. Great stuff.
  15. Toradora is a favorite of mine, can't tell you how many times i've watched it, kinda embarrassing. That said, i give the show a firm B. There's just a tad too much filler and once the shows tone shifts it never gets back to what made the beginning work so well. A few things for me that bring it down was Minori was a bad character. A lot of the plot would have be solved if she didn't keep up her facade and really just leveled with Taiga and Ryuji. I can see why she's there and why Ryuji loved her so much but they could have trimmed about 4 episodes with one or two heartfelt reveals. On the other hand, Yasaku Kitamura has his breakdown after his confession and loses focus on what made him a great bro, the x mas party and his, sexy Santa outfit, not to mention his antics spoiled him for me a bit. I can see it and why, i just think they went a tad overboard with it. Ami was a surprising and well done character. Her transformation from poor pretty girl into someone that could show her true self, well not completely but enough so that others could see what Yasaku and Ryuji saw was well done, she never became a good girl or lost her attitude, so she's more genuine that the rest in that regard. I find her my favorite in the series over all. I think some people might mind that the show really goes on a few episodes too long and the finial windup is really just the last 3 episodes. Though i think that if they never got to the ending i could watch Taiga and Ryuji just do their thing forever. The episode with Ryuji in the Santa Bear costume really got me. As much as i do like the dub, Taiga in the Japanese version losing it once she thinks she'll never see Ryuji again was heartbreaking. The voice actress in the dub is good but i think she doesn't commit herself as much as she needed to. That said i'm happy with the dub overall. I like the slice of life/romance stuff. This show is a bar that i judge other shows by when i'm looking for something good to watch. Regardless of the genre.
  16. Great news. Toradora is great. The dub is pretty good but the sub is better over all. Mainly for the lady doing Taiga's voice. There's something deep in there when she's digging out the tears./ Can't wait for the review.
  17. Liking the variety in the last few reviews nothing that i'd want to watch from DxD or the dolls, but with the amount you have reviewed it's not really a surprise to me. I just finished School Days, i'm not sure if this is on your radar or not, but i'd be very interested in a review of it, no spoilers or thoughts about it. I think it'd be a very interesting review. I think you've covered just all the genres other than Hentai and well, i'm ok with that. I'm still reading and can't wait for the next review.
  18. As i am up on all the latest games, i just picked up Dragon's Dogma and am about level 30 or so. It's been a fun game and i'm having a good time smashing things and setting Ogre's on fire. I suppose if i finish it, i'll have to get Dark Arisen and give that a go. I suck at FPS games on anything but the pc and i know my pc won't be able to run Destiny but the game seems good and with the people behind it, i'm sure it'll sell like hotcakes. I might have to jump in with the rest of the crowd but i'm not gonna buy any of the super bundles that are surely going to come out for it.
  19. I do dig Rosario +Vampire, i think it's cause of all the fan service and it has Mizore Shirayuki, one of my fav characters in any show. It's not great but a fun time and doesn't take itself overly serious. I haven't read the manga but if they do another season or three, i wouldn't be adverse to watching it Kaze no Stigma was much better than i thought it'd be, i'm not really a fan of the wimpy Main Character type that is in most anime so the MC here is more my style, tough, sarcastic and not perfect. It's got some good animation and i really liked the rivalry between Ayano Kannag and Catherine McDonald with the MC getting involved. good stuff. Chaika the Coffin Princess turned out to be solid as well, i'm glad it's getting a second season as i hate it when they leave so much of the plot just dangling in the wind. It's got good characters and an interesting over all plot. Not to mention that it's a tad gory in parts. I think it has my favorite depiction of a Unicorn though. Wonder if i can get myself a mini-dragoon somewhere. Sorry that Toradora is off limits in the UK, i think that's why a lot of people spoof their location so they can watch stuff. License agreements are lame. Still, crunchy has some great stuff and i'm willing to pay them to get more. I haven't been watching much of the new summer season though Momo Kuyo Sword is hitting my comedy/fanservice button. Invaders seems to be funny as well. I need to rewatch Black Bullet and while i didn't care for the second half of Sword Art, i will check out the new season as i need my Asuna fix, she's one of the best characters that anime has seen in a long time. And TK, go watch Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos if you can get it in the UK, everyone should see it. So funny and weird. Great stuff, will keep reading.
  20. I did like Golden Time quite a bit and the B rating is just right for the series. I thought the way Banri was handled was done rather well and the end was rushed but worked out for me at least. I watched this off a recommendation after i saw Toradora on Crunchyroll. I do like Toradora better, mostly because of the characters and who doesn't like moe girls that can kick you butt. Still, Banri and his amnesia is handled well and some of the episodes are tough to watch because of that. I'm less thrilled with Koko, she seems flighty and clingy, kind of fall to Banri after her rejection by her not quite boyfriend finally sinks in. I: can forgive that but i'd still go after Linda, she's awesome. Good show, if you like the romance style anime, well worth wading through.
  21. I only watched a few eps of 'WataMote'- but the Opening is awesome. The show is either great or not depending on if you can handle all of the cringe worthy parts of the show. I wasn't as bad as the MC is but it does hit close to home. Great review and i might have to finish the series.
  22. Tonari No Seki Kun: The Master of Killing Time is such a good little show. All the funny pushed to 8 minutes. So good.
  23. welcome back. Missed all of the reviews, good to see you're starting off slowly. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  24. Thanks guys. I currently have a 40 inch samsung that's a pain in the butt, but i've used it for watching Netflix and hulu. Looks like my best bet is to grab a monitor and switch to the big one for non gaming stuff. It'll be nice to dump this huge beast of a monitor i got about 10 years ago. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  25. <p>I'm getting a new computer shortly, any advice on a good monitor or a TV to use as one? looking for something about $200 or so. </p><p> </p><p> I plan on using it as a gaming monitor or TV should there be a good one to buy, i'd rather go the TV route but haven't found anything that good. It'll be nice to play games and not just wander around webpages.</p>
