  1. Wooo. London's great for me - within distance. Machester/Brumland are a pain to get to. It'll be good to see these guys in action, and do these new Wolfslair guys have names?
  2. When do tickets go on sale? I'm there. Rooting for Belfort, simply because he's less of a knob.
  3. Kawajiri+Aoki= EPIC WIN. I think Aoki will win though. Don't like him, but he's the better fighter imo.
  4. Rampage - (T)KO, 2nd round Bisping - decision Nogueira - submission, 1st round Hathaway - desicion Russow - submission, 2nd round Sadollah - submission, 3rd round Escudero - desicion Guillard - (T)KO, 1st round Cane - (T)KO, 1st round Riley - decision Forbes - decision In other news, Matt Hughes has become the 5th inductee of the UFC Hall of Fame. Deserved in my opinion. Oh, and Kid Yamamoto just ran through Federico Lopez and Akiyo Nishura upset Hideo Tokoro. Featherweight fun in Japan!
  5. I hope that was sarcasm, Brashers. Sucks to be Mitrione, since he'll now no longer be fighting Slice if this is true. It'll be fun fight as long as neither of them pull a Houston and stalk around the ring with leg kicks. Though frankly it's neither of their styles, this is going to be a few minutes of mindless slugging before someone goes to sleep. I'd say Kimbo, the guy's chin's been called into question already by Seth Friggn' Petruzelli, so I can't see Toney missing it. And Toney's got a granite face, so Kimbo'll struggle to do any damage too. Hard fight for the bearded wonder.
  6. Ubereem-Hadri III? Yes, please. And Grove? He's... well, a bit crap, isn't he? Barnett or Sylvia would have no problem with him, surely. Barnett-Sylvia? More fun, though probably still a bit to easy on Josh. Speaking of Barnett I wish he would actually turn up for one of these hearings to get his liscence back, he missed, what, the fourth one last week? I hope they draw Overeem against Sefo, as much as I prefer MMA to Kickboxing, that at least might be semi-competitive. I'm not interested in Overeem as a Mixed Martial Artist until he fights someone worth fighting. Breaking James Thompson and Kazuyuki Fujita do not a world champion make. His K-1 career though has been good, and I think he can claim to have at least been on one of the most pulse-stoppingly exciting K-1 cards in ages in the GP final last year. How many of the main card fights went to a desicion again? On the Strikeforce/M-1 thing... bummer. I hope Fedor doesn't end up wandering around unemployed save the odd sambo event and M-1's craptacular 'exhibition' matches, as that would be a waste for a guy who probably doesn't have long left at the top of his game. He needs to be in there and fighting: Werdum, Barnett, I don't care, someone good.
  7. Fedor-Werdum's been pushed back to May in related news, which leaves Shields-Henderson to headline the April card. Does this mean we get CBS cards both months? Or will Fedor-Werdum take place in another member of M-1's tentacle-like alliance?
  8. I've rated Sotiropolous for a while, but he really did show us something against Daddy last night. He can't fight Kenny next, though, as ol' Razor Elbows has to deal with our good friend Takanori Gomi in a Fight Night card end of March, if my memory doesn't fail me. I don't think George should be forced to step up to quickly though, since he is still only young and truly a work in progress. Mirko really does need to consider hanging up the gloves. I mean, two rounds to finish Anthony Perosh, who Jeff Monson KO'd? C'mon, man. And then the finish by cut... dissapointing. I scored it for Bisping too if that's any consolation. Twas a good card, especially Sotirpolous-Stevenson. I enjoyed it, at any rate, despite Cain destroying Nog ()... he looked really poor... his hands were not as sharp as I've come to expect, and his chin is no longer what it used to be it seems. Cain really impressed me with his improved striking though, credit to him. Bader continues his rampage through the LHW division: where next for him? I think perhaps a truly top level LHW - Forrest Griffin pops to mind, he's not got a fight booked and he's coming off a win.
  9. Despite the prescence of Bisping, this looks like a good card. Velasquez-Nog will be fun, and there's always a chance of death when Wand is around. Oh, and there's a strong possibility of Cro Cop knocking someone's head off since he's fighting a can.
  10. Really, Maia? Shame about Sonnen's cut, but I would've given it to Marquardt before Maia: we know standing that Maia is going to get destroyed by Ando and I have no reason to believe that Silva won't just stalemate him on the ground. I beleive Marquardt should have it for the simple reason that he's so ridiclously hard to finish. If he can take Silva for a ride, there's always the chance of something incredible in the later rounds vs. a tired Silva. Maia I just see eating a big combination in the first round and giving Silva an easy retain. Best case scenario? Just wait until Sonnen or Belfort recover. The 112 card's strong enough already with BJ, Renzo and Hughes on it.
  11. Oooh, ZEN logos. Those look great, really well done.
