I'd say three scum sounds a bit right. With only ten of us, the game could not last that long if there's an SK as well.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Three scums sounds about right to me as well. Four would likely be too many (only two non-scum deads and it would be all over) and two doesn´t sound enough. </p><p> </p><p> As for third party, I could see one that doesn´t have kill ability but that´s about it.</p>
  2. <p>So, while we wait for last few to check in, anyone want to speculate about game set-up?</p><p> </p><p> You know, the basic stuff:</p><p> </p><p> How big you think the scum team is?</p><p> How many third parties (if any) you think there could be?</p>
  3. Will go to sleep soon but figured I might as well check in before I do that.
  4. <p>CGC World Title: Ryan Powell vs <strong>Blockbuster ©</strong></p><p> <em>For me, this is a tough one since I´m usually were strick on not putting less popular workers over more popular ones, espesially if there´s a big popularity difference like in this case. That said, you need to build new stars and Blockbuster is already pushed, being the current champion and has delivered decently well so win over Powell could solify his push. Also, Powell´s gimmick is not something I would expect to see on your main champion so that´s another point against Powell so guess I throw away my usual popularity bias and go with Blockbuster instead.</em></p><p> </p><p> CGC Tag Team Title: DaLay & Son vs <strong>The Gear-Heads ©</strong></p><p> <em>Even if Dan is one of the top three guys popularity wise, I don´t see Robin being ready for a title run just yet and him taking the fall shouldn´t hurt Dan that much.</em></p><p> </p><p> CGC Canadian Title: Shane Nelson vs <strong>Skip Beau ©</strong></p><p> <em>Yet another tough one. My first instinct is to pick Nelson simply because I feel that Skip has been presented as pretty weak champion so far but on the other hand, he´s one of the more over younger guys and you didn´t list him as one of those with bad momentum either so I´m guessing his momentum ain´t super bad and that paired with the obvious need to push younger guys makes me pick him over Nelson even if my instincts srceam against it.</em></p><p> </p><p> Luck of the Draw Match: Dirty Dice Elderberry vs <strong>Mario DaSilva</strong></p><p> <em>Da Silva was one of those who´s momentum was bad so I could see him losing here but Elderberry have had the upper hand so far so I´m feeling that Playmate´s team needs a win here if you plan to use them as more than comedy relief group. Oh, and also, it´s another case of younger guy going over because you need to build your future stars up.</em></p><p> </p><p> Illegally Blonde (Atherton & Cash) vs <strong>Woolabonga Bogans (Mills & Boon)</strong></p><p> <em>And yet another one were the popularity difference makes me hesitate but considering they already getting angles, I´d assume Bogans are here to help your tag division and not just act as jobbers so I go with them over established team espesially with Atherton being yet another one who had bad momentum.</em></p><p> </p><p> Random Weapons Battle Royale: <strong>Jack DeColt</strong> vs Dermott Ayres vs Drake Young vs Hugh Ancrie vs Phillipe LaGrenier vs Hugh DeArrrske vs Sayeed Ali vs Texas Pete vs Penfold Perdition vs Ian Identity</p><p> <em>Jack just doesn´t lose and none of his opponents ain´t big enough name to go over him even in multiman match (Well, maybe Ali could but I´m bit doubful on that).</em></p><p> </p><p> Because I'm not too sure myself, what do you think will be match of the night?</p><p> <em>With popularity based product and the huge difference on popularity between top three and everyone else, I would except that either DaLay, Jack or Powell will be in the match of the night each and every show (until other´s are build up on similar popularity level that is) and of those three, I´m actually picking Powell this time as I feel that he has better quality opponent than Dan and Jack and only one guy instead of multiple other guys being in the match so </em><em><strong>Powell vs. Blockbuster</strong></em><em> would be my answer.</em></p>
  5. Interesting to see how the brand split shakes things up and which guys will benefit from it. USPW Television Title Match 10 Minute Time Limit Casey Valentine defends vs. Running Wolf Comments: Don´t see Running Wolf being the one who takes the belt of from Casey The Hillbillys vs. Christian Faith and Matty Faith Comments: Don´t see Hillbillys going over Christian so I´d assume this means that Towers are going to get new challengers and the feud with Hillbillys doesn´t continue. Gorgon vs. Local Wrestler Tsuki Kawamata Comments: Local wrestlers won´t win over permanent roster members. Trent Shaffer and Charlie Thatcher vs. Natural Storm Comments: This is a tough one, on one hand, Natural Storm have tag experience advantage and I´m generally working with the idea that your top tag teams shouldn´t lose to random pairing if they are on same level of push as I feel that would make tag division look bit weak but on other hand Shaffer is the one who have (or at least had) storyline going while Storm didn´t and I doubt that three way was the feud ending match so unless Shaffer and Law/Justice are going to be drafted into differend brands I kind of expect that feud to continue so I´d see more reason to give the win to Shaffer so this is bit of a keep your tag division strong vs. keep the guy in a storyline strong... Oh well, guess I go with the tag team this time as Shaffer did get a big win over Law and Justice so he could probably take a loss here espesially if Law/Justice interferes during the match. Rich Money vs. Rick Law Comments: Money is the bigger star out from these two.
  6. I do love the rebuilding project you took with this one and I´m interested to see how it will end up. Mystery Opponent vs Jack DeColt Doh, only Powell and DaLay would be over enough to even consired going over Jack and both have other things to do right now so Jack gets a win here. Skip Beau & Diablo DeVille vs Shane Nelson & Bobby Thomas I could see this one going either way as Skip and Diablo are younger but I just like Bobby Thomas so I have to go with him. Dirty Dice Elderberry vs Penfold Perdition Afraid Jenny´s team gets another loss here. Who on the CGC roster do you think is going to try to cash in on the bounty on Jack's head? Sayid Ali haven´t made an appearance yet (so not sure if he´s face or heel) but I´d go with him if I´d want strong main event assuming he´s heel of course. Zeus Maxmillion would be another good option (again, assuming aligment is right) but I did go with Ali simply because he´s more of a heel in my books while Zeus I usually see as face.
  7. Marat Khoklov vs. Nicky Champion Comments: Quessing DQ win for Nicky when Marat ignores rules and beats him up. USPW National Title Match Trent Shaffer defends vs. James Justice vs. Rick Law Comments: I could see any of these three guys winning here depending potential storylines and your plans with these three. I´m going with Justice mainly with the idea that it could spark a feud between him and Law with Law feeling that Justice kind of came and stole the belt as Law and Shaffer were the ones feuding at the beginning and Justice is kind of a late add-on to this feud. USPW 24/7 Title Match Bryan Holmes vs. Charlie Thatcher vs. Dusty Ducont vs. Andre Jones vs. Art Reed vs. Running Wolf Comments: No idea here to be honest, Reed is the one I consider biggest name (not sure that he actually is but for some reason I have always thought highly of him) and going with him because of that, plus the fact that I feel Reed would fit well into this kind of enviroment as I always seen him as tough guy who doesn´t back down against anyone. USPW Women's Title Match Melody defends vs. Gorgon Comments: When in doubt I usually go with the champ and that is the case here. Joss Thompson vs. Chris Caulfield Comments: I´m probably wrong here but personally I would love to see Caulfield getting a big win as I feel he´s typically there to put other´s over. USPW World Tag Team Titles Match The Towers Of Power defend vs. The Hillbillys Comments: Popularity difference is just too big here plus Towers just won the belts so they aren´t dropping them to Hillbillys. Tyson Baine vs. The Force Comments: Force win last time so I´d assume Baine evens the score here. USPW World Title Match Steve Frehley defends vs. Jumbo Jackson Comments: As much as I like Jumbo, I just don´t see him winning the World title.
  8. Monster Ripper vs. Bambi Comments: Guessing Ripper will win since she´s the one getting hyped up. King of the Ring Tournament First Round Match Earthquake vs. Animal Comments: I could see Animal getting some singles success while Hawk is away but I figure that hype angle for Earthquake means he´s going to get forward instead. The Million Dollar Man and Hercules vs. The Hart Foundation Comments: Winner here makes a strong case to challenge Russians again and with last match between Russians and Foundation ending in DQ, I think they go forward here, possibly with DQ in case you want to keep MDM and Hercules strong. Mike Sharpe vs. Owen Hart Comments: I don´t think Sharpe has won a match so far in this diary and I doubt he would win one against future big star like Owen. Non-Title Match Hulk Hogan vs. Ricky Steamboat Comments: Hogan just doesn´t lose, at least not that often. I guess he can potentially lose slightly more now that he´s heel but with Steamboat being the Intercontinental champion, I don´t see challenging for the main belt right now and if he doesn´t... well, I doubt he would go over Hogan if he´s not a contender for the main belt.
  9. Sorry to hear about your sister, I wish all the strenght for you and your loved ones. USPW Television Title Match 10 Minute Time Limit Casey Valentine defends vs. Art Reed Comments: Could see Reed getting the belt here but I feel that Valentine retaining is more likely option as you likely don´t just want new signing (I at least assume Reed is one) to just jump in and win the belt on his first match as new guy getting the belt instantly that so many other roster members have chased and failed to gain would somewhat hurt your roster´s creditability. Gorgon vs. Missy Masterson Comments: Challenger gets a win here in order to build her up a bit Winner Faces Trent Shaffer For The USPW National Title At Red, White And Blue Rick Law vs. James Justice Comments: Thinking this will be a draw with Shaffer interfering which would likely lead to three way match at next PPV. Bryan Holmes vs. Nicky Champion Comments: Don´t see Champion losing many 1 vs. 1 matches on TV, espesially not to someone who ain´t in any storylines, at least not before this show. Rich Money vs. Andre Jones Comments: Not much question here, Jones seems to be decent talent but he´s not going over Money, at least not at the time being.
  10. USPW Television Title Match 10 Minute Time Limit Casey Valentine defends vs. Andre Jones Comments: I don´t see Jones being the one who takes the belt of from Casey, not without somekind of build-up first at least. The Hillbillys vs. Local Wrestlers Ben Williams and Brady Prince Comments: Hillbillies are the challengers so I expect squash here in order to make them look strong. Gorgon and Tiffany Jade vs. Melody and Raven Robinson Comments: With Melody only having two defenses on the belt, I doubt you looking her to drop the belt yet and that makes me assume that Gorgon is the one winning most of the non-title matches (and likely getting upper hand in angles as well) especially since she was already beaten by Melody once before. Dusty Ducont vs. Enygma Comments: This one likely continues the "Enygma is searching who assaulted him" angle, doubful Dusty is the one who did assault him so I´d assume this is a straight forward win for Enygma.
  11. <p>USPW Television Title Match</p><p> 10 Minute Time Limit</p><p> <strong>Casey Valentine</strong> defends vs. Dusty Ducont vs. The Force</p><p> Comments: <em>Interesting that Dusty got some promo time in last show, wonder if that is first hint of potential push. Either way, I don´t quite see Dusty going over here without bit of a build-up. I could see Force winning since he did defeat Baine in PPV clean and Valentine is below Baine in my books. That said, I´d still go with Valentine going over here, maybe with someone distracting Force in order to give him reason to not win here.</em></p><p> </p><p> USPW World Tag Team Titles Match</p><p> <strong>The Towers Of Power</strong> defend vs. Local Wrestlers Death Row</p><p> Comments: <em>First defence against non-permanent roster members, I think we all see were this is going. Kind of wish Death Row would have gotten Hillbillies spot but I do see why Hillbillies make more sense for USPW with them being former alumni and all.</em></p><p> </p><p> USPW National Title Match</p><p> <strong>Trent Shaffer</strong> defends vs. James Justice</p><p> Comments: <em>I could see Justice winning but I do feel that "you haven´t won a belt in ages." storyline could have legs with Justice trying to chase a belt before retirement kicks in. In which case he won´t win it here. Also, bit doubful if Law would be done with Shaffer after what happened in PPV so kind of wondering if that Justice vs. Shaffer thing on last show was just to lead into this match or if there´s actual storyline following and if there is, then were does that leave Law?</em></p><p> </p><p> USPW Women's Title Match</p><p> <strong>Melody</strong> defends vs. Killer Kass</p><p> Comments: <em>Filler title defense with number one contender just established in last show.</em></p><p> </p><p> USPW World Title Match</p><p> <strong>Steve Frehley</strong> defends vs. Tyson Baine</p><p> Comments: <em>Filler defense, Frehley have Jackson as main challenger and Baine lost to Force in last PPV so figuring this is as close of a World title as Baine going to get during this diary.</em></p>
  12. <p>USPW Television Title Match</p><p> 10 Minute Time Limit</p><p> <strong>Casey Valentine</strong> defends vs. Eddie Howard</p><p> Comments: <em>I could see Howard winning the Television title one day but so far I haven´t seen any hints on Natural Storm potentially going solo so I´d figure this is set-up in order to give Valentine another succesful title defense.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rich Money</strong> vs. Julius Moor</p><p> Comments: <em>Don´t see Money losing here either.</em></p><p> </p><p> Number One Contender's Match</p><p> <strong>Gorgon</strong> vs. Tiffany Jade vs. Missy Masterson vs. Raven Robinson</p><p> Comments: <em>Both Gorgon and Jade have had a chance but I feel that Gorgon is the most likely challenger from these four unless I have wrong aligments once again.</em></p><p> </p><p> Atlas vs. <strong>Chris Caulfield</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Don´t think Atlas is big enough name yet to go over Caulfield but I could be wrong again.</em></p><p> </p><p> Joss Thompson vs. <strong>Nicky Champion</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Champion gets a bounce back win. Interesting to see were he goes now that he cannot challenge for the belt for a little while.</em></p>
  13. Fuzzy Freeman v Vortex Vortex has more going on. D-Pod v Francis Burke Could see this going either way but figured that this is more logical way to extend the storyline since Burke won´t take a loss well. Vance Sturt's Test - Round 2 The Australian Party People (Marcus Kerr & Matt Stoppard) v ??? Well, they did beat four people in last show (yes, they had help but even with Pyle´s intereference it was still four versus three so fair enough) so don´t see them losing to whoever the mystery guys are if you want to keep Sturt Industries guys to look dangerous. Vance Sturt's Test - Round 2 Dick & Morty (Felix Harding & Mortimer Pyle) v ??? Normally I would go with mystery guys but I guess we see both teams get into final round (and possibly fight each other´s there?). Black Flash v Quick Silver Flash didn´t get the job done while being the main villain (for Silver anyway) so don´t see that changing now that he´s underling. Some kind of shenigans are possible of course but thinking it´s either going to be a clean or DQ win for Silver.
  14. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="XMultiGames" data-cite="XMultiGames" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46766" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Thats all well and good, but the Towers Of Power actually are also babyfaces, the Natural Storm isnt the odd team out here, that is The Cold Warriors facing to face teams of challengers, but your reasoning is still pretty possible.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Oh, didn´t know that, just thought they were heels. Shows how much I know about USPW. <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Thanks for the info.</p>
  15. Tyson Baine vs. The Force Comments: Lot´s of tough picks on this card as it should be with PPV. Here, I´m going with Baine as with both men likely being way past their prime, it´s the monster heel that is easier to keep stronger. USPW World Tag Team Titles Match The Cold Warriors defend vs. Natural Storm vs. The Towers Of Power Comments: Could see any of the three teams winning here but I pick the face team with the idea that they can easily feud with both other teams while you build other teams up. Rich Money vs. Chris Caulfield Comments: Don´t see Money losing this one. USPW National Title Match Trent Shaffer defends vs. Rick Law Comments: Shaffer cheats he´s way to victory I feel. #1 Contenders Match Joss Thompson vs. Jumbo Jackson vs. Enygma vs. James Justice Comments: Thompson and Enygma seem to be on collision course so doubful either man would win here as that would distract their feud. On Justice vs. Jackson, it comes down to who I believe will be the champion after this night and that leads me to pick Justice even though Jackson did get a boost by getting Sneer on his side which gives me hope that Jackson will be meaningful going forward. USPW Women's Title Match Melody defends vs. Tiffany Jade Comments: Melody picks up a win this time. ??? vs. Freddie Datsun Comments: Card position suggest it´s a big name signing in which case Datsun ain´t having much of a chance. USPW World Title Match Last Chance Match For Nicky Champion Steve Frehley defends vs. Nicky Champion Comments: Think Frehley keeps the belt for now which will free Nicky to look elsewhere for a little time while other faces get chance for the big one.
  16. Really interesting card, other than the Next´s match, I oculd see any of them going either way. Lance Maddigan v Lone Rider Think Rider gets a DQ win here in order to keep both looking strong. Vance Sturt's Test - Round 1 Fuzzy Freeman is banned from ringside and if he comes to ringside, The APP forfeit the match The Australian Party People (Marcus Kerr & Matt Stoppard) v Vance Sturt Industries (D.O.A, Henderson, HoBoo & Switchblade) I don´t see Industries losing a 2 vs. 4 match as it would just make them look bad. Vance Sturt's Test - Round 1 Felix Harding is banned from ringside and if he comes to ringside, Mortimer Pyle forfeits the match Mortimer Pyle v Vance Sturt Since I can´t see Party People getting the win over four guys, that means Pyle will likely win here since I don´t see both teams failing on first try either. Australian Devil v Vortex I assume Devil is the more over from these two (not sure if actually the case) and that´s why I go with him plus with both Soul Collectors and Vance Industries being strong groups, some faces need to win these "fair" fights if they want to pose as a threat to one or both groups. Blake Bushwell v Monday Next Next ain´t dropping this one
  17. <p>Non-Title Match</p><p> <strong>Steve Frehley</strong> vs. Freddie Datsun</p><p> Comments: <em>No way Frehley loses this one.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Dusty Ducont</strong> vs. Running Wolf</p><p> Comments: <em>This is a tough one, I think Ducont is slighly higher on pecking order but I could easily be wrong about that.</em></p><p> </p><p> Joss Thompson vs. <strong>Enygma</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>I see Enygma as bigger name until proven otherwise.</em></p><p> </p><p> Non-Title Match</p><p> <strong>Gorgon</strong> vs. Melody</p><p> Comments: <em>This is another tought one. Melody is champion and Gordon ain´t current challenger so first assumption would be that Melody goes over but non-title matches usually don´t end well for champs (although seems that there two other non-title matches here so seems like it will just be normal to have non-title match for champ if it´s not against their current contender). Also Gordon going over could potentially set-up next feud for Melody... yeah, I think I go with Gordon winning, likely with Jade interfering to move up her feud with Melody</em></p><p> </p><p> Non-Title Match</p><p> Casey Valentine vs. <strong>Nicky Champion</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Champion ain´t dropping this one.</em></p>
  18. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Eliphas" data-cite="Eliphas" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46764" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Interested in your thoughts here. Commenting to make sure I don't forget to ask in case you don't cover this in later posts.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> The fact that DJ was part of the group instead of loner like I first thougth mainly changed my reads on certain people considering day 2, which is somewhat covered in my current reads post. </p><p> </p><p> Basically, at that time, it made me feel slighly better on Bak and MLT (for quickly voting DJ which makes them unlikely to be on the same team though didn´t exclude them being monsters etc.) and to lesser extend Phenom (for voicing his doubts even if he didn´t vote) and made me trust slighly less on people defending DJ (TSS and Rabbitman mainly but also Hellshock) as I was wondering if one of them could be fellow scum trying to save their scum mate.</p>
  19. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Eliphas" data-cite="Eliphas" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46764" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Just for clarification, you don't feel the cult can recruit with dj's death? You would rather pursue the other threats than remove the potential cult recruit?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That was when I thought DJ was the wandering mind on mountain cave (so third party with no other allies tha Leion), which I don´t think is the case anymore. I now think that the cult actually is the main scum group and DJ was the killer on night 0 and 1 and as a result would be more willing to go towards Leion than at the time of the post you quoted. That said, killing beast would likely be the best way to stop second kill happening on night so beast would still be my first priority. However, since we don´t have clear idea who beast (or beasts if Hellshock is right with his theory) are, Leion is the way to go on my opinion.</p><p> </p><p> As for the question can they still recruit? I have no idea but if DJ was killer could he also be the one with resurrect ability? I guess it´s possible but I´d figure someone else on the group was the one who could resurrect in which case I guess they could still recruit unless it was one shot thing.</p>
  20. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Eliphas" data-cite="Eliphas" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46764" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>If they had to resurrect to to recruit, wouldn't be a give away and make it easier to pick them off?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Kind of, but there was second resurrect ability as well (used on Lukess) that was likely town so that likely would have lead to some confusion or doubt. </p><p> </p><p> After all, the only reason we know to go towards Leion is because DJ specifically said he would raise Leion back to life and because DJ was killed and flipped scum after that. Otherwise we would be on the situation were two previous townies were resurrected and we wouldn´t know if one or both would still be town or not.</p>
  21. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Eternal Phoenix" data-cite="Eternal Phoenix" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46764" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Heh. Kind of paradoxical. The scum could be anyone, but sure let's tell everyone what's on our minds. Game doesn't work if we don't, though. Mafia. Hell of a thing. <p> </p><p> You haven't missed Leion, though. He hasn't been here since being resurrected yesterday.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> To me there two main reasons why I like lists and make them myself.</p><p> </p><p> First, it gives me idea of were other people are looking at and how close/far they are on what I´m thinking and potentially help me see something I missed myself. Sure, the person who´s list I´m looking might be scum but even then there´s likely some info to be gained.</p><p> </p><p> And second, if someone with the list ends up dying and flipping town (or scum), I can go back and look who he/she suspected now that I know those notes come from someone who was town/scum.</p><p> </p><p> Overall, I think it´s easier to make this kind of lists when you are town (or third party with no allies) as if you are scum you always have a problem of how will you present your team mates and that´s why I generally see giving up list as town thing (also explains why people like DJ and TSS can so easily trick me since they give these lists all the time despite their aligment).</p>
  22. Which reminds me, would you like to put your list out here too?
