And with the evolution of Eric from babyfaced flyer who's just happy to be a wrestler into fully despised and turned on 2002-08 HHH, it's clear to me that he's going to play politics and get dirty about it. It doesn't say this anywhere, but I've always seen the Michaels scapegoating as Eric bumping him out to steal the book because he wants the yard and he's the biggest alpha of the two boys. Richard isn't going to give his company over to a guy like Jerry, just like McMahon isn't giving the WWE to Shane.<p> </p><p> I mean no-way the boys in SWF want Eric to have the book right now. That shows me that it was Richard's decision, and what is Eric going to do with that book? Look at his booking and owner skills, he's going to put himself over, they are going to lose more top-guys like Skull and the entertainer types, but siphon off TCW guys like RDJ who are past it, but are willing to job clean and are over enough for it not to matter.</p><p> </p><p> That's how I see it.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That's a very grim prediction. I like your comparison, but I would see Eric more as the savior. After his reign of terror as a wrestler, he, as a wrestler/booker, would take the HHH approach and turn it into a well oiled and booked machine, like NXT. The possibilities are endless either way. Which makes the waiting cost more. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Renluenn looks more like a movie or TV show's idea of a wrestler than anybody an Eisen/McMahon type would want.</p><p> </p><p> 2: I haven't read the profiles in a while. But I always understood the three were chosen based on their fighting prowess. Not realizing how important personality would be for the goal the Bureau had set for them. Or sex appeal in Runcord's case.</p><p> </p><p> 3: I don't think the FBI would really care how highly the agents got pushed so long as they were on the roster. Heck, Renluenn and Runcord ending up jobbers might suit them because it would keep them from being suspected as moles.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Operation Lullaby is like a recurring gag on The C-Verse that I hope never gets finished. They keep trying despite the operation not even being well thought. It would suck if it actually came to an end, successful or not. And what's with some people wanting Eisen to go to jail? <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Or thinking Jerry would be the one taking over? I expect good things for SWF in 2020. Obviously Richard won't last forever, but I still see him doing one more run with the company at the top spot and then leaving the company to his children.</p>

If with the on-the-fly booking, we had the ability to change finishes of matches if an injury happens.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Actually i'd love more options, not less. Meaning, some matches would end up called in the ring by the workers due to severity of injury, or some other reason and were rapidly wrapped and we wouldn't have time to call an audible, as they would do so themselves too quickly due to need. I would also like to see "normal injuries" where the worker is trying to work through it and we can call an audible and change the finish.</p><p> </p><p> With that said I would love more depth. Worker botches finish and loses instead of winning as it was planned, worker botches and wins instead of losing as planned, the other worker botches, both workers botch, etc, etc. This would add more depth and more problems to solve. Obviously it would need to happen in an appropriate degree. There really isn't the need to call an audible every single show, or have any other kind of incident. But during a year, for example, you will get quite a few.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Adam Ryland" data-cite="Adam Ryland" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46105" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Phase one will probably finish in June, then there'll be a break for a couple of weeks, then phase two should start in July.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Awesome, thanks.</p>

As any of my testers can attest, we spend ridiculous amounts of time trying to get the AI polished to the best quality that we can, so any niggles or outright problems are down to a failing of skill or technological capability, not effort or imagination from the team. All that being said, I think we manage to get it better with every game, and I'm pretty confident that the same will be true of TEW2020.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I like today's feature and Adam's explanations and the honesty behind them are always welcomed. This is good to know. I'm really hoping for the live journal to come along so we can get an idea of how things are. Is it still scheduled to enter the live journal stage around the early summer?</p>

If this isn't incorporated (which it doesn't sound like it is by the description), would there be a way to having 'ongoing' written contracts with a yearly raise (10%, 15%, 20%, etc)?<p> </p><p> It doesn't sound like merchandise percentages are possible to work in, but a rollover type raise would simulate how some companies have structured deals. I know talent can opt out if they want to re-negotiate in these type of contracts.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Also, with the permanent tag team listing, does this mean the AI will also attempt to hire tag teams who are listed as 'unit' or 'permanent' together? Or is that not likely due to tag team contracts not working properly?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'm very curious to see how certain aspects of contracts are handled. If the current raise system isn't returning (and it was unrealistic) at least a worker should in specific circumstances be able to at least ask for a new contract and we could choose to renegotiate and raise him if we so decided to. It wouldn't be the first time, or even close to it, that a company renegotiates mid-deal to accommodate someone they like, or want to keep happy/or in their roster. It could not be as frequent as before, but at least once in a contract for a worker, and should not apply to all workers.</p>

So yeah I know what you are saying, but for me it's perfect as now I have a bit of a struggle to take them to the top.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Oh that's alright. It's not gonna ruin my play experience. I also like challenges, but as SWF fan I do hope good things for them in TEW 2020. That said, the scenario you created here is actually very intriguing and well thought. Will certainly try this regardless of promotion sizes, as it looks like a great work. Many thanks for the unofficial update to get us going until the release of TEW 2020. I'm sure I'm not alone as the only one who loved to take a peak at a 2018 CV.</p>

  9. This seems like an awesome work. Hadn't seen this was out before. Will certainly try it and I appreciate all the hard work. This is not a knock on you, just my personal preference, but 21CW at 2nd and SWF at cult would not be my way to go about the future. I really hope good things for SWF in the next game. But as I said, that's from personal preference. Just the amount of detail you have put into this is awesome. Kudos, great work.
  10. I'd like to see more family members. New ones. Everyone knows wrestling is full of nepotism and there should be more important juniors other than Cornell (even more less important ones) set to debut or already debuted. A lot of these wrestlers' sons/daughters would definitely try their hand in the business if this universe was real life. And cousins, and so on. It would also be a way to keep, in some form, some of the iconic figures we played for years through their descendants.
  11. Question to Adam: Hoping there is some kind of control or turn on/off for the sexuality feature, to be able to avoid too much unrealistic scenarios in RW mods. Is that, or could it be, a possibility?

This was the appropriate answer to have, or within the appropriate realm. It was obvious as soon as it was announced what was the intention. So, with that knowledge I just wanted to confirm what kind of control we would have. All the "bravado" shown in this thread is horrible. What does it matter if Rey and Orton decided to marry and/or divorce in a game? Would someone be disgusted over a gay couple? Shame on whoever did. What mattered to know was the level of control to make sure not a ton of Reys and Randys would hook up, simply for realism purposes.

The feature in itself is actually quite cool and allows the simulation of someone coming out of the closet. Which is still a taboo in wrestling, even in 2019, but it is finally starting to get the proper attention and a few examples were even already cited.

So with this, i ask you, Adam, please keep the feature. It is very interesting, especially if it leads out to possible scenarios where we could interact with that event. Even if not, it would still be great. As a straight man, I truly hope you don't remove a feature that would be able to simulate a reality that needs to be simulated. Other preferences exist, people come out of the closet. Young wrestlers may come to the realization they have been living a lie and finally come to terms with their sexuality.

So keep it in. Regardless, give a definite response to those that have replied to you and asked it to stay , because I know i'm not the only one wanting it to stay. Do not allow the fact that some people jumped the gun before even getting clarification to remove what could be a pretty cool feature.

    That is all I ask.

  12. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Rone Rivendale" data-cite="Rone Rivendale" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I don't want Moxley to be turned down for career opportunities because he's a former WWE wrestler either. If he's the best dude for the job, he deserves it.<p> </p><p> Not a fan of the "don't hire ex-WWE guys" stigma.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Agreed. There is nothing wrong in hiring WWE guys as long as they add to the product. Hiring everything with a pulse that gets released from WWE is another story. </p><p> </p><p> While I did hope he would reach an agreement with WWE further down the line, I am not on the this is a work side of things. WWE has no creativity, or allows such creativity from others, for something like this. I hope i'm wrong, as I like Dean and would like to see him succeed in WWE. But for now it might be safe to say that ship has sailed for the moment. And while the video isn't groundbreaking, it is much better than ANYTHING WWE has given him in years.</p>
  13. <p>First of all i wanna say i've always been a big fan of things that streamline the game. I play mostly (not always, but a lot of times) as big companies or build my way there and it becomes a task to play the game, which is not how one should feel about a game. So obviously any feature that speeds up the process and makes it easier, with less clicks, is always welcomed. That said, I'm also aware that a few die hard fans of customization like the micro-management options. That's fine, I like some of them as well. But if something is added that streamlines the game, upgrades from the previous and makes it easier to understand, as well as better to play, I'm all for it.</p><p> </p><p>

Ideally we want options that allow both the EWR experience, the TEW experience and something in between. Obviously that won't always be possible with every single feature. Not every time will it be possible to make it optional or to turn it on or off.</p><p> </p><p>

I was on the fence about this, as stated in my previous post, but after seeing all of Adam's replies, I believe that, from what we know at this point and from the clarifications he gave, this improves our experience and the drawback is the reduction of a chance to set around with a bunch of complicated products in a complicated system that not everyone was a fan of. </p><p> </p><p>

Don't get me wrong, I love to experiment with everything and tinkering with products was always fun, but now that Adam has made his explanations and clarified the issues, we're basically getting Adam Ryland made products, (who else could do better product settings than the man who knows all the code and actually creates the game?) with the possibility to patch in more, knowing what we are choosing, as any booker would, saving us a lot of time. With this knowledge, I have to say that I actually like this feature. Props. The drawback is indeed minor and now I actually look forward to try it.</p>

  14. <p>Can't say I fully support this recent entry. It would have been better to find a balance in which you can cater both the simplified system for those who want it (which would be popular) and still keep a system that allows for the more hardcore fans to create new products and tweak with settings. Because while changes were much needed to a system that a lot of people did not understand, reverting to a pre-dated system is just flabbergasting. Unless you're willing to include hundreds of suggestions in this thread you are gonna create, you will get a lot of complaints.</p><p> </p><p>

So many new stuff coming to the game and yet we have the completely opposite for products? A reversion? I understand the thinking behind it. It is simpler, more user friendly, etc, but it is also much more limiting if one can't create new products. It's not a small drawback as you put it. The people trying to create new products were probably more than what anticipated.</p><p> </p><p>

Much like the user reputation update, i feel that this is one that brings positive changes, but overall maintains bigger problems.</p>

  16. Without them, RWC would wither and die... wait... Ace Steel isn't in the data... or is he? Hell I can't remember. The Bashams are the life force, the blood that pumps through the veins of the mod.

In truth, I think I actually kept them in because someone had a near meltdown about them still being active once so I thought I'd mess with them. After that I just kept forgetting to remove them :D

Do not remove them. I actually count on them being there every new release as it has become a tradition. Don't break tradition. :D

  17. Wait, why were those replies deleted?

It's actually a problem with the game that if you were to delete a weight class from the database the Free Agent Rankings don't work at all.

I could send you the save file and/or database I altered. I literally just deleted the women from the game, and the Free Agent Rankings don't work at all. It's a problem that it doesn't even show the men's rankings.

This is a glitch. We're not spreading misinformation here.

Yes I would like to make the same question as BrokenCycle as well. We are not spreading misinformation here. It is what it is and it is what we have experienced in our games. To delete our answers seems just wrong. If by any means we are wrong and this could have happened to us as isolated bugs, (which let's face it, it's not likely the case for all the reasons already explained) or we misinterpreted it in some way, then just clarify the whole thing instead of deleting our answers. That just leaves everyone in the dark because the problem we are reporting is actually not made up, nor are we talking about it for the gist of it.

Can't help but sign the guy to maybe do a Punk rematch just for the laughs. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
