  1. Fair enough, I probably haven't looked properly, I think there's a whole host of different themes that could be done. I remember Chart Wars back in the day, I think GDS would do a great job of something like that.
  2. One thing I always seem to struggle with is Storylines involving my champions. I don't want my belts to be hot potatoes and therefore, I don't want my champions to be losing matches (particularly my face champions, which rules out cheap losses too). How do I put together a good story with my non-champions getting "wins" without actually winning?
  3. Have GDS ever considered making non-sport management games? They are popular and I think GDS could do a really good job of making games like TV Station Manager, Music Label Manager, etc.
  4. I'm 10 years and 10 months into my British local to global game. I am currently at international size so I'm hoping to reach global before I get TEW2020. I will miss this save a lot, but also looking forward to doing something completely different. I may give the CVerse a proper try out.
  5. I enjoy reading how people put together their shows, it's always interesting to hear other people take on how things work. My show grades aren't usually too bad, id 80's to low 90's MOST of the time. For TV, I have a 2 and a half hour show, I have 9-10 matches, one at 18-22 mins, one at about 15-17, the others anywhere between 4-12 (usually have a couple of squash matches). My angles can be from 4-10 mins, but I think after reading what I have here, I'll try to put a six minute minimum. My PPVs are a little different, I have more time and try to have 2-3 matches that are 20+ mins. EDIT: Minutes after writing this, achieved my highest match rating of 97 on TV. I have recently employed two new road agents with much better stats than my current ones. I think that may have had an influence?
  6. I'm not always looking for an A* match, but even a match that gets C and is capped for match length, I wonder if it was a bit longer, could that have got a slightly better rating?
  7. Apart from increasing the length of a match, what is the best way to overcome the above problem? on a 9/10 match card, surely you can't have all of them running at 20 mins plus... The same goes with angles, I think the game expects all the angles to be 12 mins plus too.
  8. Not sure if it's just me not looking properly or the fact I restrict myself to British Isles wrestlers, but I rarely find wrestlers that are suitable for hardcore. Am I just not looking properly?
  9. I didn't think there'd be anther way, really, it just seems like an awful lot of work. Something I'd love to do but don't think I'd have the patience for it. Fair play to those of you that do it.

Do you use the editor and literally change every minute detail or just a few things?</p>
  11. I'm just wondering what people are planning to do when 2020 is released. I'm torn between doing a brand new UK based fed on a real world mod or having a go at the CVerse for the 1st time.
  12. Some of the names might not mean much, I have changed some, I only hire British Isle national wrestlers (England Scotland, Wales, Ireland, N Ireland) and I have some re-gens, but basically, I was about to make Matt Cannon (My biggest star) my first 3 time champ but he was caught with prostitutes and I had to fire him, great. So I thought I'd pull the trigger on Chris Tyler who I have been pushing hard for a year, he just made the main event and I turned him face, and he goes and gets injured for nearly 5 months! Perfect. Life goes on, however and I am now getting better PPV revenue after getting a new broadcaster and making $2m a month. My title plans and next 7/8 PPV main events have had to change, but I a now looking forward to cementing my British company at International level.
  13. If I remember correctly, the success / failure side of story lines is cosmetic only and has no impact at all on the story or the workers involved.
  14. <p>I've not written about my British save since 2017, a lot has happened since then.</p><p> </p><p> I finally reached National in 2023 and things were going well until I totally messed up by bringing in a dirty doctor backstage. I didn't feel I was getting enough new workers coming through with high SQ. (I hire only British and Irish Wrestlers).</p><p> </p><p> After about 6 months things started to go wrong with more and more people getting hooked on drugs and / or just getting bad attitudes ad backstage morale was below 20! After almost giving up on the save (Despite getting record TV ratings), I got rid of the dirty doctor, gave a few bonuses out to really unhappy people and got rid of a couple of the more negative people. Things have got a lot better backstage (now between 95-100%) and I feel more in control (I wasn't even doing storylines before as I felt too down about it).</p><p> </p><p> As I type this, I am booking my version of Wrestlemania - "Civil War VI" where my top guy Matt Cannon (Mathew Horgan) is about to beat Wolfgang to recapture the British Wrestling Championship that he lost on TV 3 weeks ago. Cannon has just had a 23 months reign and this win will make him our first 2 time British Champion.</p><p> </p><p> After Civil War VI I will be looking at pushing some of my ore younger workers into top spots, eventually replacing agers such as Nick Venom (Nick Aldis), Chris Renfre, Wolfgang and Andy Simmonz.</p><p> </p><p> My Civil War PPV also has a 10 man gauntlet match. This was my "Royal Rumble" until I introduced "The Great British Punch Up" a couple of years back. I had Chris Renfrew win this. It will probably be his final title, in a few months, I'll start to the process of him jobbing out to be replace by a future star.</p>
  15. Oh that woukd be sooo cool. Can't fund it anywherem is it any good?
  16. I seem to remember someone made a cverse mod set in 1977. Am I imagining that? Is there anything similar?
  17. I am running a UK fed currently at Cult. 2 regions are national but I need another 2. My top guys all average mid to late 60s pop but don't seem to be budging any higher for a couple of months. I am bringing in Sheamus on loan for 1 appearance to job to my main guy, but what else can I do to get my guys to that next level? More of the same? Hire people with more pop in the UK to job to my main eventers?
  18. <p>Something really strange happened to my gaming experience recently.....</p><p> </p><p> I am playing as my own British company (April 2017 data) and had been running a story of an "American invasion" with Cody Rhodes, John Hennighan, Chris Jericho and The Rock. It came to a head in my January 2020 PPV "Battle of Britain". I ran the PPV and the British workers won the feud with a tag match. I also had various other matches on the card, and it fiished quite strong for a Cult Fed (Mid 70's if IRC).</p><p> </p><p> Afterwards, despite finally getting the end of the feud which I was looking forward to (as I can now get rid of the USA workers and bring up a couple of developement guys), I felt really flat. Like it was the end of an era, and I really felt the landscape of my fed had changed massively. There were a few changes to my auto-push, changes I actually WANTED to see for a long time, with 2 particular workers being pushed into the main event, but it didn't give me the satisfaction I thought it would. My Primary Title had lost prestige, so much so that my secondary title was wiping the floor with it.</p><p> I actually contemplated giving up on the save. I figured the poor prestige was due to poor matches, due to my champion being on time decline and just couldn't cut it anymore. I had planned to takr the belt off him soon anyway (Tyson T-Bone) and put it on Barri Griffiths (one of the guys who had just got into the min event. But he himself is getting on a bit at 38, so I decided to put it on Chris Renfrew. Something I refused to do all the way through the save. I just wanted him to be a top star who never had a run with the belt (ala Jack Roberts). But, being ever so adaptable, I thought it was "best for business". By the time my February PPV came round, Renfrew was the new champ. On my March PPV "Celtic Clash", he'd got the prestige back up into the 80's, however, something else weird happened. I messed up with my secondary title (The Inter-City Championship). The holder (Zack Sabre) was meant to retain, but I must have forgottan to pick a winner and Joseph Conners beat him to take the belt back and win it for a second time.</p><p> </p><p> I usually hate making these mistakes so much, I switch off and start a new save, but it actually made me feel good. It was like the game had sent me a lifeline, gave me something to deal with that was unexpected, now I have the joy of having to think about something. Do I keep the belt on Conners for a while, or shall I have Sabre win it back quickly? Shall I have someone else entirely have a run with it?</p><p> </p><p> Anyone else have these ups and downs? Do you stick with it? Do you switch off?</p><p> </p><p> I've decided that no matter what happens, I'm going to keep at it from now on. I've lost count of how many times I've started this save with various different updates. I'm going to follow this through as long as I can.</p>

If so, that could be the problem.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> A little , but to drop from 0.34 to 0.07 in a matter of 2 episodes is a little extreme, is it not?</p><p> </p><p> I have just thought.......The first station broaccast in more areas. Could this have caused it? I am now being broadcast in a lot less areas.</p>
  20. <p>I have a question regarding TV ratings.</p><p> </p><p> I have dragged a promotion up from Local to Regional and I had a TV show being shown on a station that had the lowest coverage (Tiny). I was eventually pulling in 0.34's regularly for an episode.</p><p> </p><p> I now have the show being shown on a station that has Small coverage. I am now only pulling in 0.06's again. It seems I've gone backwards.... My pop is rising every month, so what could cause this?</p>
  21. <p>I've just started playing the new 1992 mod by justtxyank, which is a dream by the way. '92 was the year I first started watching Wrestling.</p><p> </p><p> I'm one PPV away from Wrestlemania VIII and I've made a few changes, although much of the card will probably remain the same.</p><p> </p><p> I had Sid Justice win the Royal Rumble (and therefore the WWF Title), as I want Flair to go over Hogan at WM, and I'll have Savage beat Sid for the belt. I plan to keep much of the rest the same, with Bret winning the IC title from Piper, but going forward into Summerslam, Bret will keep the IC belt a little longer, I'll be delaying his run with the World Title until a year or so.</p><p> </p><p> At SS '92 I'll have Warrior beat Savage for the title, only for flair to win it at Royal Rumble '93, setting up a Savage v Flair Wrestlemania IX main event (Savage will win Royal Rumble 1993), as let's face it, WM9 was awful IRL.</p><p> </p><p> Hogan doesn't feature much as I'm fed up with his "Creative Control" and the sooner I can cut him, the better (Not sure if this mod will have him leave after WM8 as in real life).</p><p> </p><p> Not much going on in the Tag Team division either, they're just kind of there, although I am trying to book as true to life, but finding it difficult with Certain wrestlers playing games......I'm talking to you Hawk.</p>

Do they change their minds?</p>

Maximum and minimum sizes are predefined in the editor, so not every worker will be eligible to get bigger, get smaller, or both.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thanks. I understand all that. It's those that refuse to make the change I'm having trouble with. I have lots of guys who's max is bigger than current but they do not want to make the change.</p>
  24. Is there a way you can encourage workers to go through a change in size? Nearly all the youngsters and new gens in my save are lightweight and I kinda only like hiring bigger guys. I've singed most to my developement but none of them agree to changing their size. Is it tough luck, or can I influence them in any way?
