1. Pretty sure if it were real life, you could legally stop him or be compensated in some way. He is breaking contract. Unless he films his scenes around working shows for his wrestling promotion. If you were to fire him, therefore breaking the contract, you'd pay him compensation, so......... At least in this instance he'll probably gain a lot of pop from it (I think), where-as in my game I had a similar situation, but the guy went in to politics for a while, in which case he would have probably have come back much less popular!!
2. I've had a TV deal for quite a while already, I was just wondering if I could risk getting the better time slot earlier than planned, but I think I will continue to grow my workers pop a bit more first. EDIT / UPDATE: As it turns out, the TV company won't give me the better time slot anyway. (I actually found another time slot that requires a slightly less minimum that I ALWAYS manage to hit). Back to the grind I guess. Why wouldn't they give me the other time slot? What factors go into that? If it is company size, then again, I feel I'm stuck.
3. Thanks everyone, it's actually my home region that is getting restricted, but over the last few shows I've done I am getting that minimum rating more regularly so perhaps I am doing something right. Just trying to get to a level now where I know I can achieve it almost every week. Just as a side question, how many times can you "fail" the minimum rating before the TV company "boots you out"?
4. So I just got a message saying I would have gained pop in a region but didn't due to the lack of viewers in that region. I need just 3 more pop to move up to Medium Size and look at getting a better TV deal with more viewers. So I'm in a situation where I need more viewers to get more pop but need more pop to get more viewers. How do I get out of this? Whilst writing this I figured I could try for a better timeslot, but is there another way? What's going on here? Edit: Update: I have just tried for a better timeslot but the minimum rating they want is a little too high for me to be getting every week, so at the moment, it appears I could be stuck.
5. I started my own channel at the start of the month and would like ot intorduce you all to it. I currently have two saves. A real world modern day Local to Global (In the British Isles). And a 2001 Alternate real world WCW game. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpy0qeycqpGP7HQnwJJasMg I am planning to do some Tips & Tricks or "My opinion" advice videos and even a "Why should I buy TEW2020?" video soon.
6.

1. Sometimes. Bruce Prichard has said that he would have turned Hogan Heel around 1990 / 91 and whenever I hear that, or something similar, I get inspired to play around with it.

2. The thing is with Meltzer is that "he was never there". How does he know all this stuff that happened behind the scenes? Does he take everyone's word for it? Who were his sources? I've been involved in an organization myself where all sorts of rumours were going round on social media. No-ne knew the truth apart from those that experienced it.

7.
I was going to try a "reality show", almost like a soap that always ends in 1 match at the end. (Usually 2 people fighting over a potential sexual partner). But it's just not my thing and I don't think I'd give it the attention it "deserves", although it might be quite fun.

I was going to called it "Make Love Wrestling Federation", or something like that.

8. I think it could be worth a re-think for the future. Perhaps it would get a boost in certain situations. If the match was associated with a storyline, if both workers had a certain attribute, if the product was a certain type, if the overall match rating was going to hit XX rating, how hot the storyline is, how hot the crowd are, and only if all of those elements are aligned, the blood gives a small bonus, and even then, it's quite random as to how much. If none of those things are aligned, or very few are aligned, then you get a penalty. Maybe not even a boost / penalty to the match, but to worker pop? You could even get fined by networks if they don't like it (Maybe you could dictate the amount of blood? One worker, both workers, only slightly, a little more) and I like the idea of it possibly going wrong. You set the amount of blood to minimal (which your network is OK with), but something goes wrong and you end up with "a lot", and get fined / punished by the network. I dunno, just throwing out ideas. I understand it's a difficult balance between simulation and a challenging gaming experience, but it can be quite a major part of some products.
9. I don't get it. So you almost have to put on a poor (poorer) match to NOT get the penalty? In my opinion, that's putting a noose over the head of the gamer trying to improve his match / show / company pop.
10. Not sure you get much done in 3-6 months. To me it wouldn't be worth doing at all. I was playing the invasion angle. I was planning From May 2001 - Wrestemania 19, where the invasion, and the save, would end. So, that's nearly a two year save. I don't do short terms save, but this kinda had a natural beginning and end (whenever you decide to end it). So I think for short term saves, you just to have that ONE big storyline that you're playing through.
11. Oh right, I NEVER use those things when signing contracts. I need to start paying more attention to them.
12. Do you have any tips on how to do this without annoying those guys? Are older worker more accepting of losing to younger guys?
13. But taking fantasy booking out of the equation, from a simulated, real life perspective, the worker has breached his contract (exclusive written deal) and should stump up compensation. If I wanted to end his contract early, I'd have to pay. If I want him away from company for a while (give time off) I still have to pay him.
14. I don't have a problem with the feature, it's the lack of warning that annoyed me. I think the feature is great, and realistic, it does force you to re-think, change plans, maybe pull the trigger on someone earlier than intended, I just think a warning would have been nice. I'd have understood it if his morale was so low that he just left, that's a different situation that I'd hopefully have avoided (or certainly wouldn't have plans for him), but the fact he went into politics.......... Oh, and it was Steve Austin by the way. And I'd still like to know if I would continue to pay his wages...
15. Thanks Vinsmoker. That's exactly what I was saying. I'd have still been annoyed at losing my star, but at least I could have written him out (kayfabe injury, losing a buried alive match, etc.) As it was, he was working TV and events, involved in storylines and BAM! He's gone. The fans would be totally miffed if it was real life. Apart from coming up with some trashy after thought kayfabe reason, what are the creative minded of us meant to do?
16. Maybe just a suggestion, but when a worker decides to go and do something different for 2 years, maybe a month or two warning could be implemented in order for the user to write them out of television? It really ruined a save for me as I was 10 months into a three year plan when my figure head decided to go into politics. I still wouldn't have been happy, but at least with a warning, I could have written his absence into the story. As a side note, if this happens, do you still pay the workers wages?
17. The title of your posts states "still no decent mod"........ ?? All about opinion I guess, but if you don't like 'em, don't play 'em. Play C-verse or make your own. I can't remember which famous author it was. It may have been Stephen King....he didn't think there was any decent horror fiction around, so he wrote his own......
18. Understood, but you can't criticize the work of people who ARE willing to take time out of their lives to make these mods. They don't have to do it. The game is perfectly playable without them. One day, these people may decide not to make mods at all if they're not appreciated.

20. What's the difference between the Database and the 'alternative' Database? Have I missed something obvious?
21. But are requirements based on time? The number of matches wouldn't matter, no? Or is there another requirement I don't know about? Technically, you could have a match of 30 minutes and an hour of angles if you had 70 / 30 (ish) split in favour of Angles... Not that'd you'd want a match that long in a show like this, I guess.
22. As much as I hate this sort of thing (and reality shows are scripted / edited and polished up anyway...), you could run a show that only has one match, and that is the point of the show....have each episode lead up to a final "match" at the end. At the start of the episode a match is drawn randomly and the episode is the story of how they prepare. Someone gets drawn against his best friend / exes new boyfriend / Arrogant guy that everyone hates / two girls who both like the same guy)... I can see a show like that..... You could have one ongoing storyline between two to four main people that culminates at the end with an Authority figure saying that instead of drawing the match randomly, he puts the two main people "feuding" in a final match to "settle" their differences. I'm thinking Love Island with fighting........ I'm getting a bit excited by my idea. Not sure I could bring myself to book it though!
