  2. I tried to sign a few guys but sometimes get them saying they've had a better offer from someone else, but I look at the rivals offer and I always up my offer way and above theirs, but they still say they've had a better offer. What's up with that?
  3. I can't speak for Gockelinho, but it didn't bother me too much, unless it dealt me penalties. I guess Perception is still pretty much based on pop, which I didn't think would be the case. It's not an issue, I think in the long run as my company grows and as my workers grow it will be a brilliant addition to the game.

(I'm playing a British Fed so cheap, high pop guys are hard to come by).</p>
  5. I am a big advocate of the perception over push feature but it seems to work different from how I assumed it would. Does anyone know how a workers perception is calculated? I don't want to game the game but a rough idea would be nice. I created my own fed and crowned my first champion on my first show and his perception was......Unimportant. Admittedly his pop isn't great, but I didn't think the perception feature was going to be weighted too much on pop, but rather how people are booked. He won the title beating 9 other men in a Gauntlet match, I would have thought that's grounds for fans to think "Wow, this guy's a big deal". Most of the guys I want to push (young enough to build the future of the company around) are at Unimportant, so I want them to be in matches and angles, but I keep getting the "So and so is being over-used" note. Can anyone advise a little on perception and how to push?
  6. Wow, that is awesome. In 2020 I don't plan on doing my usual british fed game but I so badly want to use this. EDIT: Just read back at all the only fools love. So tempting now to do a British "slightly" comedy based company. Or, just a normal British company with a comedy stable. Not as obvious as Del and Rodney, but a couple of dodgy cockneys, slightly dumb. A pub landlord (I had one of them in my old 2016 save), a second hand car dealer, just thinking up some un-subtle British characters.
  7. I'm looking at running 2 main saves this time round,in one, I plan doing my usual thing of on the fly TV booking but planning my PPV's. This will more likely be a TNA save, but certainly a RW mod. My other save, I will be diary-ing for the first time (or at least a cut down version of a diary) and playing c-verse for the first time. I will be spending time planning out stories and shows for this and posted results somewhere.
  8. I haven't tried it enough or with jobbers to see if I that comment. I'm sure I read in the journal that this feature would be put in the game to be able to carry out those scenarios you suggested and also to help with small companies having smaller rosters, being able to have more wrestlers but only paying the once for someone being used twice.
  9. Isn't a gauntlet match a match type in the game? It always used to be in 2016, or someone made it in a mod as I always used it as one of my annual achievements at my "Civil War" PPV.
  10. Good attempt, but both matches reverted to the second gimmick. It all looked good until until I run the show. To be far, I didn't do it as a "live booking", as in, I didn't wait for the first match to play out THEN add the second match, I think that might work. I was thinking it wouldn't, as you have to book to the correct show times, and adding an additional match would force you to go over that time, however I guess you could book both matches, then when the first one is played out, go back into the booking screen > Roster and change his alter ego. I'll test that, but it seems a bit fiddly considering I thought there'd actually be a mechanic in the game to do this. Update: Yes, that worked, play out the first match, then go back to the booking screen > Roster > Worker, then change the alter ego there. Not as fiddly as I thought, but not sure I'll use it that often.
  11. I'm sure I read in the Dev. journal that it would be possible to have a worker work more than one match in a show under different alter egos. For example, you could have Dude Love and Mankind both have matches in the same event. Did I not read that? or if I did, did it not make the game, and if it did, can someone explain how I can do it?
  12. Love these! As for the Only Fools and Horses one, they are really good. I usually have an event called "Only Brawls and Horses".
  13. Companies that are 100% true to kayfabe. Wrestling as a "real contest". Angles made up of pre/post match interviews and analysis by the pundits. I think even then there is scope for very few, minor storylines. After all, you get headlines and feuds in other, REAL sports.
  14. Yeah, after I posted this, I thought about it and wondered if it would fit into my booking style. I don't think it would. I like my champs to have few, but longer reigns, and a title like this would bounce around all over the place (not every holder would reach that magic cash in number, and if they did, it would be vacated an awful lot of times). But I do like the idea of being able to "Cash something in", but not in a MiTB style. I might look at it, maybe have it set at more than 7 defences. I also don't think it would matter if the world champ was already involved in a story. With this, you're not telling the story of the champ, you are telling the story of the challenger. Will he be successful? Or will he lose (legit or cheated), and have to start again by winning back the TV title. Sometimes I think it's cool to have a champion lose a belt by someone he's not feuding with. It depends on what they were feuding over, if they were only feuding over the title, then yeah, his "enemy" in a kayfabe world would move on (I don't want to fight you anymore, you don't have the title), that's why I think the best story lines are the ones that are over something deeper than just a championship (Savage - Hogan was all about Savage's jealousy over Hogans friendship with Liz), it just happened that Savage was still the champion. If Savage lost the belt before WM5, the Hogan - Savage match would STILL have made sense, as Savage really wanted to kick Hogan's ass.
  15. I used to swear by excel sheets, I had a pretty decent one running, and I would always try to improve it or look for something better. Then one day I realised it was too similar to work and I lost my enjoyment. I also realised the sheets never really did anything to enhance my saves, and they certainly didn't make things more efficient. So I went to a notebook and a pencil and it's the best thing I ever did with regards to my booking.
  16. Just wondered if any and who will be sticking with 2016 rather than getting 2020 straight away? I'm very tempted to just keep going with 2016 at least for a few months, but knowing exactly what I'm like, I'll end up buying 2020 the day it comes out and will probably never look back. There's still of lot I'd liked to have achieved with 2016, but since mods won't be out immediately, getting 2020 from the off will force me to start a C-Verse game which I've never done in TEW.
  17. I've just started a new 2016 game using the default database for the first time. I realise this will be a short lived save until 2020 comes out, but I'm using it as a tester for my first 2020 save which I intend to dynasty, which will also be a first for me.
  18. I did wonder that actually as I was typing that post. Thanks for the answer.
  19. Sorry if this has already been asked, I did do a search and re-read the broadcasting section in the journal, but I could see an answer. Will there be a limit on which companies can qualify for a TV deal? For example, at the moment you can't get a deal below regional. (if you can, I've never managed it). Thanks.
  20. They were trying to tell an in-depth, character enhancing story with lots of plot twists and development, leaving the protagonist a changed and better man at the end and leaving the audience fulfilled with emotion and insight... Either that or they just loved banging.
  21. When Ric Flair announced himself and Vince's "Partner". I'd only just got back into wrestling at that point, mainly to see what they'd do with the WCW brand (I was hoping they'd keep it going as a brand, build it up and some some reputation, then do a "Proper" invasion angle).
  22. My 12 year British fed save that I recently lost due to a laptop crash. I started at Local and just about made Global before the crash. The hardest part was cult to national. Getting to international then global was comparatively easy. British isles is a tough region to crack.
  23. <p>I use a physical notepad to write out my PPVs. Just the matches or particularly pivotal angles. I write who is going over, whether a story ends with the match or a title changes hands. I find it easier to use a separate notepad from on the PC so I can look at the screen and my plans at the same time. I tend to book TV on the fly, but every now and then I'll have something specific in my mind I want to happen and I'll make a note in the book.</p><p> </p><p> <a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2020_03/notepad.jpg.6beb6f2aa04ac061a58eb6e9460eb9a4.jpg" data-fileid="3565" data-fileext="jpg" rel=""><img data-fileid="3565" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt="notepad.jpg.6beb6f2aa04ac061a58eb6e9460eb9a4.jpg" data-src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2020_03/notepad.jpg.6beb6f2aa04ac061a58eb6e9460eb9a4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></a></p>
