Presentation is top notch and of course the debuts were awesome. Really excited about Chord's reign as champion and of course how Lau develops within the TCW.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thank you! Yeah I can't wait to get into exploring Chord as the top dog. Ace is amazing and will still be there or thereabouts, but I like my faces chasing titles for the most part, and Chord to me is like this old school heel version of Okada where he's an amazing wrestler but he is absolutely not interested in popping a crowd or being popular.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="ampulator" data-cite="ampulator" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="49598" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Devilb0y, do you tailor your shows towards Crowd Management? <p> </p><p> This could explain the "mediocre" match between Hawkins and Bach (especially after the hot promo).</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I actually don't use Crowd Management to be honest, it's the one option I switch off as I am absolutely terrible at playing with it. So I think in this one case it was just a combination of Bach delivering a sub-par performance grade (69 just isn't up to snuff for him) plus the other factors that contribute to the match grade dragging down Wolf's 95. I reckon if I ran that match 10 times it'd score in the mid-to-high 80s 8 or 9 of them. Just unlucky this time <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  2. <p>And there it is: Total Mayhem XXIV is in the books! Hope you all enjoy reading the show as much as I enjoyed writing it.</p><p> </p><p> We'll have a look at our prediction scores tomorrow as well as getting the new-look Power15 down, then on to a worker profile of our Prediction Score contest winner's choosing, Saturday Night Showcase and back around to Total Wrestling next Tuesday! Full steam ahead!</p>

  4. Thank you! Yeah I'm a big Ino mark too. I view him as a Japanese Ultimate Warrior who can actually work. I'm really excited to have him back, and even more excited that he isn't in time decline yet. I got really lucky with him and Sammy Bach in this save. Total Mayhem should go up tomorrow, so I look forward to seeing how everyone reacts to it .
  5. Fairly minor question for which I'm sure there are several answers. What's the best way to talk a worker into getting into better shape? I feel like some of the top guys on my TCW roster are happy to do it, and then some of the complete unknowns aren't, and I can't really figure out why or how to change it.
  6. <p><img alt="3UrI0kw.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3UrI0kw.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <em>May 30th 2020 - Eye On The Ring, Konrad Douglas</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">A New Division In TCW?</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="1U9n1C4.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1U9n1C4.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> As is tradition in the wrestling world, with growth comes wild ideas about how to sustain - or even increase it. And TCW are the latest to come up with a scheme to try and bolster their position as the hottest company in America right now. Rumours are still a little sketchy and by all accounts nothing has actually been nailed down yet, but if my sources are to be believed then in the next few months we may see a new belt debut on the show, along with a separate section of the roster to compete for it. The designs I've received are.... interesting to say the least. Hold onto your butts:</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="nv1mBGi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/nv1mBGi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> It's going to be called the <strong>HITS Division</strong>. Yes, you read that right. HITS. It's going to stand for, and I quote: "Heart, Inspiration, Toughness, Skill" and is inspired by similar Openweight championships from Japan. And the workers in it will be competing for the <strong>TCW HITS Openweight Championship</strong>. </p><p> </p><p> The idea behind it being that it's a midcard belt that the most exciting workers in the company will compete for. I haven't been able to get anyone at TCW to comment on these rumours yet, but the smoke on the street is that this is explicitly NOT a cruiserweight title. They want the HITS division to be about great wrestling, not a certain kind of wrestling. Yet the question now has to be: is this too many midcard belts for TCW? With the Television Title well established at this point, the revamped International Title due to return at Total Mayhem and now this, that makes three separate midcard (or thereabouts) belts. Not to mention the tag division (more on that later).</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><div style="font-size:0px; height:1px; width:900px; background-color:#000;"></div></p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:18px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Filling the HITS Division</span></strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Obviously the next question is: who is going into the HITS division? And the honest answer is: we don't know. But I can tell you two guys who almost certainly are: new signings <strong>El Mitico Jr</strong> and - and this is a massive one - <strong>Trent Shaffer</strong> from USPW.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="8p0Exxh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8p0Exxh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="EiskbwH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/EiskbwH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Word has it those two will be the crown jewels of the division, and if anything should act as confirmation that this won't just be a cruiserweight division then Trent jumping ship should be it. No way he leaves the main event scene of USPW to be a curtain-jerking lightweight in TCW. It seems like this belt is going to be a big deal, and he's going to be one of the main guys competing for it. The rest of the roster who will shift over to the HITS division is fluid and this is total speculation, but baseless speculation is what we do best here on the internet. I've got a list here that contains names like <strong>Matt Hocking</strong>, <strong>Ernest Youngman</strong>, <strong>Freddy Huggins</strong> and freaking <strong>One Man Army</strong>. At the very least, TCW sound like they are taking the setup of the HITS division seriously.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><div style="font-size:0px; height:1px; width:900px; background-color:#000;"></div></p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:18px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">New Tag Teams</span></strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> TCW has been woefully shallow on good tag teams for a while now with the more-or-less permanent hiatus of <strong>Mighty Meaty</strong> (due to Mighty Mo's singles push) and <strong>The Behemoths</strong>. <strong>The Roughnecks</strong> have done their bit to admirably hold down the fort, and with the addition of <strong>The Heritage</strong> (specifically Edd Stone and Greg Gauge) things are starting to look a little more competitive, but there is still an enormous gulf in popularity between those two established teams and pretty much every other team in the division.</p><p> </p><p> But worry not! I have it on good authority that in the coming months we will see not one, not two, but THREE new tag teams form on the main roster. First off, <strong>Matt Hocking</strong> and <strong>Benny Benson</strong> will be given something to do as the undoubtedly exciting pairing of <strong>Shocking Concept</strong> (a play on the name of the High Concept team that Benson shared with Greg Black back in the day).</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="KZaDumk.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KZaDumk.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="CD7v4zQ.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CD7v4zQ.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> And on the other end of the weight spectrum, we have a powerhouse team made up of two very-nearly-main-eventers in <strong>The Snake And The Scorpion</strong> - <strong>Koshiro Ino</strong> and <strong>One Man Army</strong>. That should be a hell of a team and immediately lends the tag division some real stardust.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="CYX2vF7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CYX2vF7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="E2J8wyf.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/E2J8wyf.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> And finally fans of <strong>Tana The Mighty</strong> will be pleased to hear that he is being given something to do in the absence of Mighty Mo, as he will take the incredibly talented rookie <strong>Fro Sure</strong> under his wing in an angle that plays on the big doofuses desire to be friends with everyone, which will play off Fro's cocky but slightly aloof persona. We're told it's not going to be explicitly a comedy angle but there will be some lightness to their team, which has been dubbed <strong>The True Friendship Club</strong>. I know. I'm skeptical too.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="c92qrSW.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/c92qrSW.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="RoYGCzC.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RoYGCzC.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> And that about rounds it up for now. Three new teams, all faces - although that could easily change - should be more than enough to freshen up the tag division and give The Roughnecks a bit of support. Can't wait to see how this all shakes out in the post Total Mayhem XXIV landscape.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><div style="font-size:0px; height:1px; width:900px; background-color:#000;"></div></p></div><p></p><p></p>

  9. Thank you so much for checking it out. I'm really glad that's what you're getting from Blackfyre, as that's more or less exactly what I'm trying to achieve. The ethereal "Watcher In The Dark" who also has a bit of the cowboy about him. Look forward to his runs as a surfer and then a Joker analogue in the coming years! Thanks very much! You've got the predictions more or less sown up this month, but it'll be particularly emphatic if you can end the month with a victory
  10. Thanks very much, man! I'm really happy with how the card has come together. I've got a feeling it's going to be a good show. No worries on taking breaks; I really appreciate that you've been with me since the start, but there's no pressure to stay engaged every week. I'll be here, plugging away. I may or may not just have finished planning my G1 CLIMAX style blocks for the King of Kings tournament in November, so I have no intention of stopping writing the shows any time soon Thank you! There's a lot of matches which really could go either way on this card. I'm fairly set in my own mind on how I want them to go down, but this is kinda where the rubber meets the road in terms of putting the guys who are gonna be my go-tos for the next year over strong. No place for 50-50 booking here. People need to win, and people need to lose
  11. Preview: Total Mayhem XXIV: The Clash In California May 31st (To be posted by 24th September) TCW Presents: Total Mayhem XXIV Theme: "Company, always on the run..." "Destiny, oh it's the rising sun..." "I was born, a shotgun in my hands..." "Behind the gun, I'll make my final stand..." "And that's why they call me: Bad Company, I can't deny..." "Yeah, Bad Company, till the day I die..." "Until the day I die..." "Until the day I die..." It's finally here. The biggest show of the year. The grandest stage of them all. Total Mayhem XXIV: The Clash In California is just a few days away. With a card absolutely stacked with top-tier matches it's hard to pick out what to focus on, but we can't ignore the top of the card where Jay Chord will face Aaron Andrews for the World Heavyweight Title. Greg Gauge pulls double duty as he faces Mikey Lau for the new International Title while also siding with Heritage stable-mate Edd Stone to face The Roughnecks for their World Tag Team Titles. Meanwhile Sammy Bach and Wolf Hawkins go one-on-one in what should be a classic. Whether you're looking forward to the Masked Patriot giving The 1% what-for, Mighty Mo clashing with Doc Hammond for a shot at the World Title or any of the matches on the card, join us on Sunday for the event of the year. <div style="padding: 15px; border: 1px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #C2C2C2; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 1px 3px ";"> Prediction Key World Heavyweight Title Jay Chord vs Aaron Andrews © Tale of the Tape: Chord has a singles win under his belt against Andrews in the past month which will surely be playing on the champ's mind as they head into this seismic clash, despite his success in recent weeks against both Edd Stone and Greg Gauge - who will not be a part of this matcj. Sammy Bach vs Wolf Hawkins Tale of the Tape: A match to finally settle who is the better man after The Syndicate cost us a clean finish earlier in the month. Wolf has looked more interested in doing things 'the right way' in recent weeks, which has put him at odds with Rogue and the rest of his stable mates. #1 Contenders Match Doc Hammond vs Mighty Mo Tale of the Tape: Mo and Doc have traded victories in multi-man matches this month, but there can only be one victory when the two face each other with a Title shot at Excessive Force on the line. John Blackfyre vs Eddie Peak Tale of the Tape: The Man In Black looks to educate Eddie Peak on the finer points of The Book Of John, seeking revenge for Peak's interference in his match with Wolf Hawkins. But who is the mysterious ally Peak has found, and what part will they play? Koshiro Ino vs Freddy Huggins Tale of the Tape: Huggins will bring his entire entourage to bear as he faces Koshiro Ino in a re-match. He will hope to make this a more competitive affair than their last meeting. Open Challenge Joshua Taylor vs ??? Tale of the Tape: JT isn't officially booked on Total Mayhem, but he isn't the kind of guy to let that slide. Word is he plans to call out any person in the locker room to face him in singles action. Who will it be? World Tag Team Titles The Heritage vs The Roughnecks © Tale of the Tape: The Roughnecks make the 5th defence of their tag titles since winning the gold in April against their sternest opposition yet in the form of the ascendant Heritage. Yet question marks remain over Greg Gauge pulling double duty. Will he be fit to compete? Masked Patriot vs Nelson Callum Tale of the Tape: The eccentric Masked Patriot sets his sights on the one member of The 1% he has not yet faced - Nelson Callum - in a match to finally settle the score between him and the elitist stable. International Title Mikey Lau vs Greg Gauge Tale of the Tape: Lau's debut match couldn't really have higher stakes, as he competes for the new International Title - billed as the second most prestigious in the company. His opponent will be looking to make Lau's sojourn in TCW an unhappy one, but if recent history is anything to go by it would appear that the son of Sam Keith is more than a little nervous.
  12. So this has been a quickfire week which has probably hampered some of your abilities to read the shows, nevermind engage with the predictions. Things will probably slow down a bit after Total Mayhem as I look to focus on the season ahead. Let's have a look at our prediction scores for this week! eayragt: 5/7 kanegan: 5/7 And it's a tie with both of you getting 5 right, so congratulations to you both! very strong scores. Neither of you were fooled into believing that Andrews was dropping the title so close to Total Mayhem and really the only main card curveball that caught you out was Rogue willingly getting himself counted out. More to come on that storyline in future. With one show left in the month this means that eayragt has an unassailable lead. We'll revisit that at the end of the month, but get thinking about who you'd like a profile of this month! <div style="padding: 15px; border: 1px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #C2C2C2; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 1px 3px ";"> This Month Prediction Scores: christmas_ape: 1 eayragt: 3 kanegan: 1 TJ94: 1 Overall Running Prediction Scores: christmas_ape: 12 DarEatWorld: 1 eayragt: 8 Herrbear: 2 kanegan: 3 KnowYourEnemy: 1 Sco xY2Jx: 1 TJ94: 3 Xendarii: 7</div>
  13. Ack, that's frustrating to hear. I hadn't actually considered how it would display on smaller screens, but I know that PDFs in general aren't all that practical to read on phones. I'll see if there's a way that I can create a mobile-friendly version in future to make consuming it on the go easier. Thanks for the feedback!
  14. Welp, new show format, here we go. Let me know what you think (you can click on either the graphic or the text link, the text is just there for forum searching purposes)... TCW Presents: Total Wrestling (May 2020, Week 4) <div style="font-size:0px; height:1px; width:900px; background-color:#000;"></div>
  15. I don't know how on earth you dragged T-Bone Bright to an 80-rated match, but I'm impressed. Tell me your secrets! Are you using specific booking notes for him or is he just being covered for by Bach and Jay there? I annoyed Devine in my save by jobbing him out too much and he ended up leaving, which I regret as he's very talented. It's that damn tag team with the charisma vacuum that it Chance Fortune that puts me off him! I'm glad you're giving him a bit of love though.
  16. The final heads up of the day is to say that for whatever reason I have hit a rich vein of enthusiasm today which, combined with this new format making it much easier to write shows, means the Total Wrestling for May 2020 - Week 4 is now already written! Since the preview only went up yesterday I'll hold off on posting it until tomorrow afternoon to make things fair for the predictors, so if you would like to get a prediction in this is your final call to do so!
  17. Hahaha, to be fair, SNS is literally the show for giving the kids some exposure and the midcarders some wins, I wouldn't read too much into the form implications from it. With that said, I'm glad people are reading it!

  19. Just as a really quick heads-up, I recently realised that it's quite hard to export shows that are saved directly in forum posts into a format that I can back up, and because I now have a Google Doc that's about 200 pages long containing all of my shows and booking notes I've been looking at other ways of writing my shows (as it has essentially become impractical to keep expanding that doc). As such, the next show is gonna be done in a PDF format which is basically completely different from what I've done before (and credit where it's due, I've taken much of the inspiration for doing it - including some bits of the layouts - from Xendarii and Eisen-verse whose presentation continues to blow my socks off; check out their diaries if you haven't already). Hopefully this change won't pinch too much; it's a test at this point. So I'd appreciate any feedback on whether you guys feel the new format is better or worse for readability.
  20. Preview: Total Mayhem XXIV: The Clash In California May 31st (To be posted by 24th September) TCW Presents: Total Mayhem XXIV Theme: "Company, always on the run..." "Destiny, oh it's the rising sun..." "I was born, a shotgun in my hands..." "Behind the gun, I'll make my final stand..." "And that's why they call me: Bad Company, I can't deny..." "Yeah, Bad Company, till the day I die..." "Until the day I die..." "Until the day I die..."
  21. That looks rad as hell. I prefer the full colour one personally as the sepia-toned one strikes me as a little older than the 70s, but the design rocks. Love those worker renders too. Also, being British, I always love to see people doing stuff in the UK scene, so I'd definitely check it out.
  22. Preview: TCW Presents Total Wrestling - May 2020, Week 4 (to be posted by 17/08/2020) It's the go-home show before Total Mayhem XXIV and we've got a set of singles matches to tie all of our major feuds up in a nice little bow before the show to end all shows! <div style="padding: 15px; border: 1px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #C2C2C2; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 1px 3px ";"> World Heavyweight Title Match Greg Gauge w/ Jay Chord vs Aaron Andrews © Tale of the Tape: last week Aaron Andrews knocked off Edd Stone and effectively eliminated him from being allowed to affect the outcome of the Total Mayhem title match, this week he will look to do the same with Greg Gauge. For Gauge, however, this marks a huge opportunity. His first ever title shot, but surely not the last. Ernest Youngman & Real Deadly vs Mighty Mo & The Roughnecks Tale of the Tape: Rumour has it that The Syndicate have one eye on the up-and-comer Ernest Youngman to potentially round-out their ranks, and this could be an unofficial trial for the young man (no pun intended). But they'll need to get through the formidable wall of Mighty Mo and the World Tag Team Champions first. Television Title Match Matt Hocking vs Rogue © Tale of the Tape: Hocking looks to win back his title against Rogue in his first singles match since winning the Television Title earlier this month. Can Hocking bounce back to become a two-time champion? Troy Tornado vs Benny Benson Tale of the Tape: Benny Benson will be looking to build on the momentum of last week's tag win here but Troy Tornado will be out to avoid a losing streak after eating a pin from John Blackfyre. Koshiro Ino vs Wolf Hawkins Tale of the Tape: Ino faces the biggest challenge since his return to TCW as he gets set to square off against the Alpha Wolf. He's in good form but will surely be looking over his shoulder for Freddy Huggins and his entourage. (Pre Show) Titan & American Ultra vs Human Arsenal, Fro Sure & Jackson Laine Tale of the Tape: Titan makes a return to tag team action, his first appearance in a match of this type since The Behemoths failed to regain the World Tag Team titles from The Roughnecks. With American Ultra helping him out, they are surely the favourites here. (Pre Show) Tana The Mighty & Masked Patriot vs Freddy Huggins & Killer Shark Tale of the Tape: Tana and Masked Patriot make for an eccentric pair and there is no love lost between the Samoan and Killer Shark, who will be looking to prove a point to his new partner / client: Freddy Huggins.</div>
  23. Haha, I really want Edd to succeed. I'm gonna keep putting him in a position to do it until he eventually steps it up and grabs that brass ring
  24. Thanks so much! I'm enjoying writing it, probably evidenced by me somehow managing to put shows out way ahead of schedule. Wish I had that kind of productivity in the rest of my life Awesome, thanks for checking it out. Total Mayhem is gonna be a rad card, if I do say so myself . I've got a feeling Gauge vs Lau is gonna be the match of the night with the kind of ratings Gauge is putting out at the moment (getting match ratings in the low-to-mid-80s with a popularity in the mid-60s) but with the signings I have made (plenty of which are yet to debut) I think there are guys up and down the TCW roster who can put on great matches now, which is really what this company is about. Looking forward to the post-Total Mayhem landscape!
  25. One more week to go until Total Mayhem and things are really heating up. Let's see how you guys did on those prediction scores! christmas_ape: 7/8 eayragt: 6/8 TJ94: 7/8 It's a tie this week between christmas_ape and TJ94 who both nailed every prediction apart from one of the six-man-tag results, but congratulations are due to all three of you for another strong week. And this means that things are closer for the month that they looked last week, with only 1 point in it! No one bought that Edd Stone was gonna take the title off of Andrews two weeks before Total Mayhem (didn't think that would get much purchase!) and there was only really one 50/50 booking on the card with The Syndicate facing Bach, Mo and JT. Ernest Taylor isn't quite ready for a big win just yet, but keep your eyes on that one; he's going places. <div style="padding: 15px; border: 1px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #C2C2C2; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 1px 3px ";"> This Month Prediction Scores: christmas_ape: 1 eayragt: 2 TJ94: 1 Overall Running Prediction Scores: christmas_ape: 12 DarEatWorld: 1 eayragt: 7 Herrbear: 2 kanegan: 2 KnowYourEnemy: 1 Sco xY2Jx: 1 TJ94: 3 Xendarii: 7</div>
