  1. I would love to see this. WWE has done it 2 times in the Rumble I believe? Needs to be in there.
  2. That's not true. I had the same thing happen with Hogan. He had the locker room down to 40 some percent. Signed a bunch of locker room leaders. 87 percent. Created riffs. Back down to 60 percent. Fired him. Back up to 79.
  3. Idk what yall are talking about. Everytime I hear things are going smoothly and testing is going well, I feel more confident that this edition of TEW is going to be by far the best. The only thing I need to do is figure out how to deal with the Cornellverse. I mean, this is something I've never done. And I'm so excited about this game I'm willing to play a fictional wrestling world over characters I know. I've never done that and I've been playing since EWR. This game has me that pumped. I keep wanting to open '16 and play my WWF game but cant figure out the point in it. I'm so excited to have a cpu that will be able to be competitive against me and develop new stars on their own as well as fill in the auto booking after I put in 2 matches and 2 angles into a show. Not to mention the countless other features.
  4. The more I play 2016 the more I cannot wait for partially booking a show and having the CPU auto book the rest. I think this feature is the one I'm looking most forward to as well as increased competition for CPU controlled companies.
  5. Honestly this sounds like something that could be patched if it does indeed become an unrealistic issue. Surely Adam could implement something or patch the old system back in if there were issues.
  6. My only long term game WWF 1985. Made quite the stacked roster and had some really interesting story lines including having Bruno Sammartino win King of the Ring and have a chance to become WWF champion again. Hogan ended up canned. DiBiase and Jake the Snake were coming up hard and fast. Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard became main eventers by dominating the tag division. Was going to keep them doing that til Flair could join in 91 and have the Horsemen in the WWF. Big Bossman was just signed and I was going to push him as a super heel which would have been interesting. I'm sad Vader never got out of development or I never got anyone to finally defeat Andre (Savage was penciled in to be the guy, possibly Nikita Koloff) So much planned. I'm either going to do the same thing or have a save where WCW breaks away from NWA earlier.
  7. Can you simplify this in terms I can understand(less technical the better). I was thinking everyone was excited about 2020, its news to me that someone is thinking about sticking with '16. Just wondering the reasoning bc I dont understand
  8. I cant remember the name but it's not Risky Business, its the other one that stats in Oct 1985
  9. 1985 mod. I was in 1986 for the PPV you quoted. Started pushing Bruno back up the card and signed/released a lot of talent. Mr T returned from hiatus.
  10. I know we are past some suggestions but I had a thought today about how your companies hall of fame is purely cosmetic and there had to be a way to make it mean *something*. What I came up with was inducting someone gives them a large morale boost (maybe a bit smaller depending on personality). It could also be a way to fix a bad relationship as the wrestler could see the induction as a sign of respect. Furthermore, the wrestler could completely reject the induction all together if they had a bad relationship with the company, like a hatred with the owner. Also, if a wrestler feels like he should have been inducted by a certain time and hasn't, it could cause a negative relationship (he could think of it as being snubbed. ) All of it would have to do with personality, relationships and a bit of randomness. Just some thoughts I've had to make that part of the game actually mean something.
  11. Ahh yeah I don't know why I was thinking Bruno only had 1 long run. I got to booking the show and really thought about it and couldn't pull thr trigger for one reason, Brunos stamina. I remembered booking a 14 minute match a couple months ago and he was visibly tired by the end. Savage and Bruno onoy went 12 and he was tired again. Savage retained, there was a handshake, Bruno left Savage and Elizabeth in the middle of the ring to celebrate on their own when Piper's music hit. He made a beeline to Savage and they started brawling. Piper got the upper hand with Savage already had worked a match. Bruno ran back down to chase Piper off. Essentially I went with what you just said without reading your comment. Bob Backlund is going to be on Pipers side and well have a tag match main event next months PPV and a Piper/Savage and Backlund/Bruno main event at the following PPV. Andre will return from here and feud with Savage. I think I have a pretty good gameplan til Mania now. Thanks for your comment!
  12. I'm putting a lot of time into my current WWF game so I may try replicating the data into the new game as much as possible depending how hard it is. Otherwise I'll probably try a WCW play through when they first broke away from JCP/NWA which is something I've always wanted to do. May give the Cornellverse a go as a new investment company (like AEW would be) if Cornellverse doesn't already implicate a new promotion at the cult level. Think that would be a good way to dive into the Cornellverse for the first time and really make a game my own since the past wont matter.
  13. <p>I have 4 options for my 86 SummerSlam main event. </p><p> </p><p> Bruno will be going into the PPV as a face going for Randy Savages World title, also as a face. Bruno won the KOTR. I also have Roddy Piper (heel) returning at the PPv. He had been feuding with Savage before I suspended him.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Option 1:</strong></p><p> Have Savage cleanly win and Piper attack Savage after the match.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Pros</span></p><p> My top face retains</p><p> Savage/Roddy feud continues</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Cons</span></p><p> No Bruno second run as champ</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Option 2:</strong></p><p> Savage retains via DQ from Piper interference. Post match I could have Bruno save Savage from a beatdown.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Pros</span></p><p> My top face retains</p><p> Savage/Piper feud continues</p><p> Bruno Sammartino still looks strong </p><p> The show can end with Savage and Bruno on the same side</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Cons</span></p><p> The fans are screwed out of a legit finish at my #2 PPV</p><p> Bruno doesn't get a 2nd run as champ</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Option 3:</strong></p><p> Bruno wins with Piper interference on Savage.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Pros</span></p><p> Bruno gets a 2nd title run</p><p> Savage/Piper feud continues</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Cons</span></p><p> Bruno looks weak and almost heelish </p><p> My top guy loses the title</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Option 4:</strong></p><p> Bruno wins cleanly with no interference </p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Pros</span></p><p> Bruno gets a 2nd run</p><p> Bruno looks strong</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Cons</span></p><p> No Savage/Piper feud involved</p><p> My top guy loses the title</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> This feels like its Brunos last chance. He won the King of the Ring tournament and it will be hard to keep him in feuds to keep his momentum going. I'd like to have a title run with him even if it's short. However, I promised myself a long title run with Savage since he is the face of my company after I fired Hogan. I said to myself he will hold the title til Wrestlemania 3 and be the one to slam Andre the Giant (I still have Nikita Koloff penciled in as a 2nd option, though). Roddy Piper is red hot and easy to get over in my game. Before his suspension he was feuding with Savage and I want to use this PPV as a springboard to a feud that will last until December where Andre will turn.</p><p> </p><p> Any and all input is welcome along with things I haven't thought about.</p>

  15. Will the " "Wrestler A" refuses to negotiate a contract due to his morale" message go away with time?

I think the last option you gave is best. Andre has a heel at WM3, with a face overcoming the odds to slam the giant is 80s storytelling. If not Hogan, Koloff (but probably under a different name perhaps? He wasn't even Russian in the first place) is an option but maybe not the BEST choice... If you want Koloff to be a heel, then Dusty is another option, but really doesn't fit the look that Vince would want from his figurehead. Randy Savage could fit in, he's obviously got the physique and charisma to take the role. <p> </p><p> Now that I think about it, I think Savage is in the best spot. If you started in January of 87 he is the IC champ though.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Savage would be the best choice if I want to recreate the exact same situation. He has the World title and I plan on him having it for a while.</p><p> </p><p> Nikita would probably have a name change. Could just drop Koloff like I have in previous games.</p><p> </p><p> Currently its November 1986 heading into Survivor Series. Randy Savage has the strap.</p>

Since you have fired Hogan I'm assuming the Andre match won't be for the title, you just want to have the epic slam? In that case, all you are really looking for is someone who can do a thing that has "never been done before". Someone with a great look, with awesome power.... someone like Tom McGee. He was everything Vince wanted in a potential future champion and this is TEW, so you can rewrite history so that he can become a great worker. And that story can begin with Tom creating a moment like the slam, which can mark the start of a huge program that pays off when he eventually beats Andre somewhere down the line. I'm thinking probably a year later. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> There may be other guys who you could do the same arc for, but that's the first person I thought of and I think it would be a way to get some new talent over. Just need to build him up a little first and then have Andre be like "No way, boss. You gotta go through me!" to kickstart things. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'll have to see it I like his attributes. I've never heard of him, googled him and he does have the look for sure. </p><p> </p><p> I really wish Kerry Von Erich was more dependable bc he would be a great option as well.</p>

Four weeks in a row he caused bigger riffs and bigger riffs. Had to fire him. Firing Hogan would be tough though in 88</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah I had no choice. He said he was happy and improved his behavior so hopefully he'll come back after a stint in JCP or AWA.</p>

But I'd lean more towards Warrior or Nikita to be built into the one to do it.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I've thought of it and I feel like Nikita Koloff has the most talent at this point and the physique to make it seem the most believable. </p><p> </p><p> My problem now comes that Nikita is a heel. Does he enter the match as a heel against face Andre, make Andre lose his first match ever, then have Andre shake his hand and turn Nikita face? Or should I have him defeat Andre and give Nikita the rub to be a super heel? A third option would be a situation where there's a double turn. Andre turns heel before Mania, becomes even more unstoppable, and Nikita steps up to the challenge (turning him face (think Yokozuna/Luger slam like turn)</p>
  20. Who would have slammed Andre at WM 3 had it not been Hogan? I just fired him and still want to create the moment. Could Savage had done it? Dusty Rhodes? Roddy Piper? Ricky Steamboat? Would you have Ultimate Warrior be super pushed and do it? Turn Nikita Koloff face and do it with him? The last 2 seem the most realistic but they're far down the card. Theyd need a mega push to go over Andre.
  21. I guess I suspended him for a month after a fight w/ Ted. Is that why he did this? Low morale and b/c he remembered that? What an advanced engine if that's the case. I couldnt take him anymore. Held onto him for 1.5 years. Drug tested him for roids then fired him for it. I had hired 10 locker room leaders to boost my backstage morale to 92% and he tanks it to 72% in one day... smh. Randy Savage and Dusty Rhodes will now be the faces of my company. I'll go all out for Ric Flair in a couple years and build around him as well. Hope Hogan doesnt sign with JCP and they start beating me. Hogan v Flair would be money in '88.
  22. Hogan just caused so many rifts after one show... all against Ted Dibiase.. Dibiase now has a simmering tension with: Nikita Koloff Randy Savage Harley Race Jesse Ventura Ax Rick Martel (Hogan also told me he doesnt connect w/ the fans) Jimmy Hart Gordon Sollie Pat Patterson Kevin Sullivan Miss Elizabeth Bobo Brazil Chief Jay Strongbow Steve Williams Smash 15 wrestlers... has anyone seen such a thing!?!

  24. The match rating can also be dinged for drug/alcohol/pain killer use. Stamina can come into play if it's too low for how long the match goes.
  25. This makes sense. Also adding to my list would be the no compete clause that WWE has.) When the wrestlers contract is over, (I think its 3 months? Before they can show up on tv again. I'm pretty sure they can always sign with indie promotions but cant show up on television for a certain amount of time.
