  1. Create myself as an avatar. Create my own fed. My first month is spent signing workers, tv/ppv contracts, etc. because I'm too lazy to do it in the editor.
  2. I have a few I've used... National (usually used in line with Intercontinental/United States title prestige) Legends (near world title prestige, only past champions can win it) Xxxtreme (like hardcore or X-Division) Young Gunz (a title for up and comers/rookies to battle for)
  3. I would like to see it nerfed a bit. Smaller companies shouldn't be making anything off of this. Cult level and above seems reasonable for the point where you could really start to make advertisement/merchandise money. It should be a feature that medium sized or above companies can only use. At the very least, tone the amount of money these small companies are making. What happened in Jaded's game, my experience and others that I've seen posted around here shouldn't be happening.
  4. This. Or just "nerf it", as you kids apparently say these days. I think I used that word right. *shrug*
  5. <p>I love the '16 search feature. For me, that being expanded would have been nice. And/Or buttons would be sweet, but I always would have liked to select a range.</p><p> </p><p> For example, when you chose "average brawling" you would get average, good, great and excellent brawlers in your list. An "average to good brawling" range would be beneficial. The reason being if you've done the search for great and excellent brawlers and wanted to see the good brawlers, you'd have to look through all those workers you just looked through as well. It's not a HUGE deal, but it is one of those things that would make life a little easier.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Hive" data-cite="Hive" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47578" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>That would only give even more randomly generated workers... not sure how it would help the issue at all. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Sorry, Hive. I read your post wrong. It seemed like you wanted fictional workers generated from the same dojo that you had 4 already graduating from, which is why I made the suggestion Hart Dungeon I, II, etc.</p>
  6. I am all for turning "generate workers off" option again. Don't know why we keep trying to regress this game instead of progress it. The more options for people to play as they wish, the better.
  7. I think injuries needed to be higher than in '16 and if they are higher in '20, color me impressed. The way I worked around them not being high enough was to send wrestlers to rehab more often, send them on more vacations and suspend them more. It really does make booking more fun when wrestlers and coming and going more often as others have stated.

Mike Kanellis and D-Von Dudley.<p> </p><p> The pair then mainly appeared on Main Event, usually in tag matches but not with each other.</p><p> </p><p> The Royal Rumble PPV didn't feature a Rumble match and was headlined by Brock retaining the title in a Triple Threat against The Undertaker and Shane McMahon.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>All seems pretty realistic to be honest.</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Bro... just got me laughing so hard. </p><p> </p><p> But for real, 2 of those seem like issues. I think I saw the battle royal/Royal Rumble one got fixed, but tag teams not tagging with their partner seems like a problem.</p>

  10. <p>Wouldn't creating fictional dojos fix the problem for historical mods that want randomly generated characters as well?</p><p> </p><p> Or possibly multiple dojos from the same training facility?</p><p> </p><p> For example:</p><p> </p><p> Hart Dungeon I</p><p> Hart Dungeon II</p><p> Hart Dungeon III (if needed)</p><p> </p><p> I know this is unrealistic and not ideal, but its hard for me to see how this is a deal breaker and making modders leave the community and people not buying the game because of this.</p><p> </p><p> And this is coming from someone who isnt going to buy the game in its current state...</p>
  11. <p>I vote for Slim's. If this were done, it would be enough on its own to persuade me to buy the game, which in its current state I'm not going to do.</p><p> </p><p> Dross would be 2nd</p><p> </p><p> The current layout is a distant 3rd.</p><p> </p><p> Please listen to us Adam. We've noticed you working hard and listening in other areas. This would be a huge leap in terms of the user friendly UI the community has been clamoring for.</p>
  12. <p>Love the new skin and layout of the UI, as many have said. It looks like TEW again, with a modern take. </p><p> </p><p> 7 days to improve on finances, scrolling, less clicks, and more products. </p><p> </p><p> For me its still a no go until things improve. But I see that Adam and company are working their butts off and appreciate that. Hopefully the mechanics of the game are getting tweaked these next 7 days. If the issues that have been talked about the most in this forum get fixed, we could have an excellent game that is miles ahead of '16.</p>
  13. @Zero - that's extremely unfortunate. I always looked forward to your updates. What year did you end up getting to? My goal in 2020 was to have my first long save. Making it from 1991 (my favorite mod) to current day with WCW,WWF or a created fed would be amazing. How many shows are you doing? When you say 6,000 p/m you mean per match? At first I thought one shouldn't be able to start a network with $135k, but then again, you could probably do that these days. I do not think you'd be making $90k in advertisements, though. That seems a bit high.
  14. <p>I wish I knew if this game was going to be improved enough to where I'm going to like it. If it were out right now, I'd be sticking to TEW 16. If the changes that I (and most others on here) want to see happen, then I'll be so excited to buy and play '20.</p><p> </p><p> It sucks being in limbo. Wanting to play a full game with an 80s/90s mod, but not wanting to dive too deep into the '16 game just in case since I won't be able to play the save in '20.</p><p> </p><p> Anyone else feel like they're in 'text sim wrestling limbo?'</p><p> </p><p> Wish we knew everything that was going to be worked on!</p>
  15. That's an interesting take. If the product settings being taken away from the users makes my competition a lot better, that would change my position on it completely (I'm one that loves to tinker and get the exact product I want/knows what works for me). So, yeah, I wish Adam would come out and say that if that were the case. It would probably sway a lot of people to understand why it was implemented. ..... We had the development journal, which was a list of features and what was being done and sometimes we got the "why?" it was being done, but a lot of times we weren't (and still aren't). I feel because of the lack of transparency, a lot of people chalk things up to "change for change sake" instead of their actually being a solid reason something was changed from the way the game was in '16.
  16. This made me chuckle out loud a bit. Adam said the game was running smoothly with his testers during the developer's journal and look how that turned out. And as beta testers, we can only test 2 months, then have to start all over. But, 10-15 years down the line, the game is going to work correctly? Maybe that was sarcasm. If so, I apologize.
  17. Is there a video or a post that explains the Cornellverse somewhere? Like the back story. Or at least the main parts. Id like to figure it out but its a lot of information. Think about trying to learn about the past 15 years of pro wrestling in the real world. Its quite daunting. But knowing the bullet points would be nice. Main storyline that occurred. What happened outside the wrestling world. What companies bought others, improved or folded. Etc etc. Would be really interesting to read up on or hear someone explain. Instead of going through hundreds of bios trying to figure it out one by one...

Two days after the game should have come out and the well of serious, gamebreaking problems that affect everybody is rapidly drying up. Nothing in the last two patches was anything that should have delayed a release. If all we're getting for the next two days is daily tweaks and a few fixes for crashes that most people never experience, then I'd say this delay was a panicked, rash decision based on a bunch of forum whining from people who had wildly idiotic expectations of what the game should be, despite the dev diaries clearly spelling out most of the non-UI gripes before the beta ever came out.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Nice rant.</p><p> </p><p> Bret Hart gives you a 4/10. <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

  20. <p>So you can't send a wrestler to development unless its to work on their skills?</p><p> </p><p> So Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode being in NXT can't be replicated?</p><p> </p><p> Sounds realistic.</p>
  21. <p>My wife saw my spreadsheet of storyline plans 3 months in advance, with my entire roster, heel/face divide and title holders. One night she typed into it saying something along the lines of 'I wish you put this much time and planning into your family life....'</p><p> </p><p> Talk about low blows.</p>
  22. This is me as well. Ever since I found EWR. Rewriting wrestling to how it should have been or how I would have done it reduced the stress caused by the business. Its such a great escape to become immersed in a world you wish you had been in. Something that keeps you thinking about the angles/matches/storylines as you lay in bed falling asleep or at work doing something you absolutely hate. This same reason is why I'm frustrated. The changes that everyone loves i truly believe could have been coded within 2016. Unless the organization of the code wasn't that great... But nonetheless, I'm upset with change just for the sake of change. There are features that nobody asked for. Menus that nobody likes. Buttons and clicks that don't make sense. I just think how easy could it have been to improve the autobooker from 2016? Make the development territory playable? Improve the gimmick system. Be able to talk to workers. Everything that people seem to love... put it in 2016 and youd have the most mind blowing text sim wrestling game ever that was USER Friendly.
  23. This is just an observation, but I'd say about 95-98% of responses that are positive and how the person loves the game are from people that are "new members", which tells me this is probably their first TEW game (maybe 2nd). Most the people that are having negative reactions are "low minors" and up, which tells me they've probably been around TEW/EWR a lot longer. This makes me wonder if us "vets" aren't giving the game enough of a chance or that the "rookies" don't understand the issues we are talking about. (The truth is probably somewhere in between.) Just an interesting observation I've made through the past 50 pages or so of text.
  24. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="jgriff3029" data-cite="jgriff3029" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47578" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Good evening, <p> </p><p> I just wanted to give my reaction to the Beta Release. I have purchased every TEW except 2004 as I had just found EWR at that point. There are several things I like about 2020 and several things that I am indifferent about and several things that I don't care for. I really enjoy the talk to worker feature and the stable feature. There has been discussion about the UI but I really am indifferent about it, especially after downloading Kam's skins. </p><p> </p><p> My major complaints are things that have been taken out of the game. Now let me say that I have no problem with things like pushes being taken out because the new perception system has replaced it so it feels like it as evolved rather than been taken out. I also want to be clear that I have no problem with features being removed that no longer work with the game coding, like the ability to scroll with the new lists. I understand and appreciate the option of reverting to the old style.</p><p> </p><p> The things that I don't understand being taken out are things like the customized products, time decline list, and the ability to edit contract lengths for workers who don't work for you in the in game editor. The thing is when I play TEW, for me it is about fantasy booking (I usually play historical mods). I don't want to do a lot of thinking about certain things. I don;t want to have to dive in deep to figure out how far someone is into time decline. I also like to play historical mods and have an idea or situation come up where a certain worker would fit into what I want to do, so I edit there contract to make them available. I have seen it described as lazy booking or cheating. But that is exactly what I want when I play. Something I can lazily play or mold to my enjoyment. I completely understand that that is not what everyone wants. </p><p> </p><p> The question is why can't we have the best of both worlds? People that want to simulate the business in a more realistic way can and people who want to just play lazily or in a more fantasy style play that way. Again, I understand when things go away because they no longer work with the game mechanics or have evolved, but why remove things that don't fit these descriptions.</p><p> </p><p> I guess what I am trying to say is, I have enjoyed playing the TEW series because it allowed me to for the most part play the game the way I want to play it. I am on the fence about 2020 and will see what updates are made. The bottom line is that the more people that can play the game the way it suits them, the more copies of the game will be sold. The more copies sold, most likely increases the chances of future additions.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Brilliant post. 10/10. You put into words how i feel much better than I have been able to do.</p>
