The card will bring the semifinals of Team Tournaments, which will have the duel between Xtreme Couture vs. Miletich Fighting System and Chute Boxe vs. American Top Team. All fighters have reached the combined weight and the fights will take place normally. The main event will be led by Roy Nelson, who comes on a winning streak, against Englishman Ian Freeman, who was defeated in his PRIDE debut. PRIDE Bushido 19 takes place at Marine Messe Fukuoka in Fukuoka, Japan. It will broadcast by ESPN Africa, Eurosport Russia, SkySports 2, NHK, Polsat Sport, Fox Sports Asia, CBS Sports Network, ESPN Latin America and Fox Sports Australia. BARNETT ANNOUNCED by Sean Smith PRIDE FC announced the two cards of July. A heavyweight tilt between Roy Nelson (12-3, 4-1 PRIDE) and Ian Freeman (19-9-1, 0-1 PRIDE) will serve as the headliner for Bushido 19 event on Jul. 13. PRIDE Bushido 19 takes place at Marine Messe Fukuoka in Fukuoka, and also includes a team tournament semifinal between Chute Boxe vs. American Top Team and Miletich Fighting System vs. Xtreme Couture. Two weeks later, Fedor Emelianenko (31-1-1 NC, 18-0-1 NC PRIDE) and Josh Barnett (26-6, 8-5 PRIDE) will square off for a heavyweight gold on the line at PRIDE 45. PRIDE president Nobuyuki Sakakibara, he had already confirmed that the winner of the fight between Barnett and Overeem would face Fedor and today it was announced the date of the fight has been confirmed. Until today PRIDE had not announced the order of the fights that was revealed only today according to how the fighters appeared to weigh themselves before the press. The main fight will be between Ricardo Arona who will face Kiyoshi Tamura and the co-main event will be on account of the welterweight clash between Carlos Condit against Yuki Kondo. As announced by Sakakibara at the PRIDE 44 conference, Paulo Filho was removed from the tournament, as he was unable to recover in time to face Jose Landi-Jons. Once again Kazushi Sakuraba leads the event against American Chris Leben and former Lightweight champion Takanori Gomi faces current WEC lightweight champion Donald Cerrone in the co-main event. Sakuraba returns after being defeated by Paul Daley in the unanimous decision, in the first round of the GP Welterweight. Meanwhile, Leben, made his first fight under the PRIDE banner against Sanae Kikuta and got a great knockout that ended the sequence of three consecutive defeats.
