1.
WWF '94: The Battle for A New Generation

he wrestling world is in transition. The era of saying your prayers and eating your vitamins has grown stale over the course of the last three years; no longer do people want overly-cartoony characters or comedical farces that call themselves wrestlers.

What fans want is a revolution. A new breed of wrestlers, who wrestle in ways never thought of years before have answered that call and are prepared for battle. Those who have thrived in the ages of Rock N' Wrestling must now learn to adapt in this new era of professional wrestling, or risk being left on the wayside.

Those such as Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Diesel, Steve Austin, Cactus Jack, Owen Hart and many others have found themselves face to face against legends such as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Lex Luger, Ricky Steamboat and Bob Backlund. Some will be happy to pass the torch, others might not be so willing. Of course, not to be hypocritical; some of this newer breed of wrestlers consider themselves entitled to this new sort of power that awaits them, but they usually end up crashing and burning. (Unless of course, if your name is Shawn Michaels, then in that case you can get with anything)

Me? I've been there before. I've seen the mountain top; I know what it's like to reach legendary status. Now i'm a bit older, a bit more wiser too. And it's up to me to make sure that the promotion that made me one of the most hated heels this side of Andre the Giant to make sure this new generation of wrestlers gets their chance to do what I did. And make their names not just known, but iconic. The battle for the new generation has begun; and it's time to draw the lines in the sand and create the next great evolution inside

not just the World Wrestling Federation, but amongst the entire wrestling industry as we know it.

All I ask from you, is to trust me.

Join Jake Roberts in his quest to save his company right here: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=535950

I'm really curious on that one.

He had the strength, star quality and size that WWE loves from their superstars.

However he was simply the right wrestler in the wrong time, he came during when WWE was pushing Daniel Bryan and CM Punk as legitimate players and when people just didn't want to see another man who was strong and muscular get a shot in the main event.

It's also been rumored that he was unsafe in the ring sometimes; (remember that concussion he gave Ziggler?) so that might have also had an effect on his chances as a WWE main eventer. (and probably why he was basically jobbed for most of 2014)

To me; he was at his best in the midcard, Especially during his final matches. Whether as the intercontinental champion, a beast who wanted to be fed more or as the monster of the week for Cena to beat up; he was pretty reliable and always got the job done.

And to me, that's really all Ryback needed to be. A big monsterous guy who could destroy the scrubs and provide for good competition for those higher up the card. (Oh, and I guess his RybAxel tag team with Curtis was pretty decent for what it was)

 6. So apparently during the CWC tournament, Daniel Bryan found a new favorite wrestler in Jack Gallagher. It's probably me because I haven't really followed up on the cruiserweight tournament, but i'm thinking it's because he's like a combination of William Regal and Adrian English.
 7.
...Am I seriously the only one who ships Enzo and Sasha?

Does no one remember how they hit on each other?

 8.
So, Dolph Ziggler's facing Dean Ambrose for the WWE Championship...

This is likely Ziggler's last chance to be in the main event, so cross your fingers he performs to his best.

I enjoyed most of it, the new championship has kind of a dumb name. I would have rather brought back the World Heavyweight Championship. I did like Balor beating Roman. I marked out for that. I hope he has a great match with Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. Finn Balor has earned everything he has in WWE now, he worked hard on the indies and Japan for years, was the face of NXT and got drafted to RAW to become a top level face. Hopefully WWE has given up on Roman, he is getting nearly universally booed and now he failed a drug test for amphetamines. I am thinking Vince might feel disrespected by Reigns for the fact he used drugs while getting a mega push.

I don't think WWE are going to completely give up on Roman, but I also think that Roman isn't going to be given the treatment he used to get back in 2015-early 2016 either.

I think at SummerSlam, Roman screws Finn out of the title and turns heel; setting up a rematch for Night of Champions.

 12.
Caught the ending of RAW after the power blacked out on me; Finn's going to face Rollins at SummerSlam? Good for him. He's deserved this moment in every step of the way, from his run in Japan, to signing with WWE, to becoming the face of NXT, the first NXT wrestler to be drafted onto a brand, and now this.

That is the textbook definition of being rocket-strapped into the moon. (And that's a good thing)

 13.

Agree completely with packerman.

Once people truly buy into it as more than "developmental" maybe we can see some people rotated out - treating it as a third brand pretty much.

You could make the argument at this point that NXT is like a third brand; like how ECW was the third brand for WWE for a short amount of time.

 14.
I think in terms of star power, SD got the better hand. I mean, come on; Cena, Orton, Styles and Ambrose? That's an almost sure-fire sign of success. It also helps that Ambrose is the WWE Champion, so that gives SD an extra helping of prestige.

In terms of a more complete roster though, RAW seems to have it. But to be honest; I saw it coming. How else are you going to fit three hours of television? Plus, there are a bunch of potential future stars in the RAW brand; Zayn, Owens, Cesaro, Balor, etc.

Cruiserweight Division going to RAW is a surprising decision; seeing as it's always been a Smackdown thing; but I guess it could work.

But there's an interesting question that needs to be answered....

WHAT ABOUT HEATH SLATER?!

 15.

Says the delusional fan who doesn't seen how illogical this brand split is. Why are Wyatt's and Lucks Dragons split? Besides the fact WWE wants them all to be split up its still stupid. Stop using your pathetic dislike of me cloud your terrible judgment.

This situation is no different than WWE not defending a title for 4 month's straight whole telling the next.chamoifp he doesn't follow the 30 day rule he will be stripped. Logic. I'm sorry I can use that better than you can.

I want consistency. If you counts teams as a team. All teams should be a team. Not some because tje company wants to break up a stable. Wyatt's or not it doesn't take a genius to see how illogical this is.

Where in that sentence I posted did I say I didn't like you? All I was doing was pointing out that there were better things to do than argue with you over things that could easily be settled.

You have opinions, I have opinions too; that's fine. But when you produce them in a way that makes me want to roll my eyes and say, "Ok, we get the message" that's where I have a problem.

This isn't the first time this has happened iruleall. Remember the mess we had with Warhawk over Roman Reigns? I don't plan or want to have a problem like that again. I'm not saying i'm right and you're wrong, what i'm saying is that you need to think about what you say and how you say it.

(And like MHero said, insults cross you off as very childish. This is supposed to be a discussion thread, not a poop-throwing contest)

(Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, Batista, John Cena, etc) It just might again.

 17. I applaud the post man, but you're dealing with an irrational Wyatt fan here. An irrational fan of a wrestler is kind of like an antithesis to an irrational hater of a wrestler. They love the wrestler a lot and have amazingly high hopes for them, anything lower and it's considered a 'burial' in their eyes. They also have a big issue when someone gives out constructive criticism to their wrestler when there are real issues with the wrestler in question and are very vocal about their love for a wrestler. That's basically iruleall in a nutshell. He really loves The Wyatt Family and will not stop loving them until the day they retire. It's the Warhawk situation with Roman Reigns all over again. My advice?: Don't talk to the brick wall at the end of the sidewalk.
 18.

Randy Orton vs. Brock Lesnar.....it's a different opponent for Brock....kinda sad they are going to squash Randy's momentum out of the gate as soon as he returned. I really think they should have built Randy up before feeding him to Lesnar. Maybe this should have happened at Hell in a Cell or Survivor Series.

I'm actually surprised they chose Randy. I was thinking either Cesaro or Sheamus. (or maybe if they really wanted to they could have gone for Sami Zayn) Nonetheless, Randy hasn't returned yet so you never know, maybe he'll have a few matches on RAW before his match against Brock.

All I know is that it's going to be a interesting match. (And possibly a dream match I think)

 19.

Yeah, pretty much. They're moving further and further away from "characters" and more into realistic personality-types presented in a sports-like fashion. They want guys that can pose in Tapout gear, appear on ESPN and/or sell t-shirts to kids. Cena, Styles, Reigns, Rollins, Ambrose, Owens and Zayn are the guys they're looking at and all of them are wrestlers, not superstars. Bray is charismatic and he certainly has a place as a top-tier heater to put over faces, but he's just not talented enough to be the exception to these new rules unfortunately.

You can make the claim that things were beginning to change when CM Punk was running things back from 2011-2012, but really started to pick up when Daniel Bryan won the WWE Championship back at WrestleMania 30. I think now, more than ever it's become obvious: The PG Era is (for the most part) gone. Ever if they keep the rating, The PG Era is done.

It's the Reality/New/NXT/People Power/WWE Universe/Whatever We End Up Calling It Era now. And in this brave new world, characters need to be relatable. Yes, they can be faces or heels; but they need to be relatable too.

It's a brave new world in WWE, for the first time in a while; it feels like that only the ones that can adapt will survive. That's why Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Baron Corbin and in a way Bray Wyatt are floundering. They haven't adapted. Or at least, haven't yet. Will they find a way to adapt, maybe. But it might take some time in doing so

 20. I'm probably one of the few people who thinks this, but I honestly never thought of Bray as a main eventer. Don't get me wrong, he is very charismatic and can work up a crowd; you can tell that he is very passionate about the character. And for what it's worth, he can be a good wrestler when it calls for it. However; I think the main problem with Wyatt is that it's the right gimmick at the wrong time-frame. Think about it, Wyatt is supposed to be this cult-leader who leads people to do his bidding. It's awesome right? But, imho; it doesn't really fit with the current PG (or Reality Era if you want to be technical) landscape WWE is in right now. Now i'm not saying that it would be impossible to have Wyatt in the main event, there have been attempts to do so before. Early into Wyatt's run he faced off against Bryan and Cena, and just last year he got to face The Undertaker. Who knows, maybe they had planned to make him a main eventer, however considering the quality of matches he had with Cena and Taker were either ok at best or just meh, (Except for that last Cena match, that was great) they might have decided to change plans. If Bray were to be a main eventer, it would have to take a character restruction, (without destroying the core structure of the character) some seriously strong booking and maybe a face turn. We've seen this done before with TheLloyd's two WWE diaries, I see no reason as to how it couldn't be done in WWE. And maybe this is going to be like a fresh start for Bray Wyatt, you never know for sure. Maybe he will be a main eventer someday and i'll be proven wrong, however; I can't really imagine it happening anytime soon. Now that I've said my two cents, i'm going to build myself a firewall for the inevitable backlash i'm going to receive.
