  1. <p>Great Gold Rush. When I looked at it, I had the winner of the Campbell/Faith match winning. Unfortunately, I chose poorly. Plus, not realizing that Funakoshi was heading out the door, my surprise finals run for him seems pretty dumb...</p><p> </p><p> Sad to see some of the stalwarts of CWL head for the door. Ranger had been passed long ago, but he spent a lot of sweat equity carrying the tag division for a while with Faith. Everyone else was basically fodder for the rest of the roster, so no real reason to miss them if the developmental guys can do it (and probably do it for cheaper).</p><p> </p><p> On the ladies side, losing LaRue and Jade is a surprise. I figure Jade might be losing a little in the ring at this point in time, but LaRue could be a star. I hope the door isn't closed on her future in CWL.</p>

  3. 'The Amazing' Jacob Jett [vs] 'The Silent Threat' John Maverick Maverick got the win last week so he can lose to guys like Jett. ??? [vs] 'Supreme' Spencer Spade Breaking one of my rules, but I don't think Spade was brought in to lose... Primed For Progress (Cameron Vessey & Christian Price) [vs] Iron and Stone (Tim Westybrook & Edd Stone) Stone and Westy got the first win and Stone took it out on Price last week. Unless this is burying P4P, they have to get a leg up at some point to make it interesting. The Ring Generals [vs] POISON & Prometheus The Generals are a good team that can help carry a green Prometheus to a match. POISON gets back on track after a surprising loss to Jett. 'Country Strong' KC Glenn [vs] 'Gentleman' Lord James King While it might not be clean, Glenn (as champ) can't really lose to King, even if it isn't for the strap. Gino Montero & Ricky DeColt [vs] The CanAm Blondes (The Natural & Owen Love) This is a pairing that could be gold for you. DeColt needs someone to help him as his SQ goes us, and Gino has shown he can do pretty much anything. I am glad you moved the belt to him, and I don't think he'll let you down.
  4. Does NOTBPW do automatic rematch clauses? I believe that was mentioned before as not being part of the company, but I wasn't certain on that fact. Asking for a friend. Regards, Gargantuan
  5. I was thinking guys from the switch to CWL and big company growth. Guys like Primus Allen...
  6. I know it is a lot of work, but any chance we can get an update on some of the guys that came and left in the last couple years? I am curious to see how they went on and fared, especially after you made the climb towards the bigger stage.
  7. Robin DaLay [vs] 'The Ace' Aaron Andrews The feud with the Stones may catapult Andrews into quite the spot in NOTBPW. Donte Dunn & Akima Brave [vs] Erik Strong 'Though' & Lord James King King strikes me as the lowest man on the totem pole here. Brave gets some momentum to shed to a heel in the near future, and Dunn gets his win over Strong. 'The Stud' Christian Price [vs] 'The Animal' Edd Stone Price is a tag team stalwart, but I don't think he has much of a run here in singles action. Edd continues to show he can be a star here. The John Maverick Retirement Tour 'The Iron Fist' Dan DaLay [vs] 'The Silent Threat' John Maverick While the retirement angle points to going out on your shield, I think that he beats DaLay to get some momentum and pop before dropping that to some of the younger guys on the way out. DaLay can take a loss here to an old friend with no issue. 'The Amazing' Jacob Jett [vs] 'The Riddler' POISON Perhaps Seeker makes this a shady win, but POISON is hot right now. I do hope Jett makes some splashes in singles action soon, though. 'Magnificent' Gino Montero [vs] 'The Saviour of Wrestling' Jonathan Faust Montero can't lose immediately after toppling Gargantuan.

  9. IIRC, his contract was up and Lloyd wrote Frosty out as a pseudo-firing by Alex. He was injured, but that was just as he headed for the door.
  10. <p>CWL North American Championship: Torment w/ Father Grim vs. <strong>Riley McManus ©</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>I don't think Torment has the ability to carry the belt for a run, so let Riley keep it up until one of the bigger heels takes it.</em></p><p> </p><p> GWC World Tag Team Championship: <strong>The Diaz Cousins</strong> vs. The Keith Brothers ©</p><p> Comments: <em>The faces needs something to chase. Might as well make it the Diaz Cousins (who I now love).</em></p><p> </p><p> GWC Openweight Championship: Hellion w/ Father Grim vs. <strong>Matty Faith ©</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Faith has a big future, and I don't think you sacrifice it for Hellion.</em></p><p> </p><p> Grudge Match: Jeffery Aroma vs. <strong>Cameron Vessey w/ Lisa Bowen</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Without Bowen, not sure that Aroma goes very far. Maybe he reunited with McManus?</em></p><p> </p><p> CWL N.A. Women's Championship: Alicia Strong w/ Lisa Bowen vs. <strong>Pearl Flanders ©</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>I don't really know here. But String could push Flanders to the next level by taking the L.</em></p><p> </p><p> CWL N.A. Tag Team Championship: The Heartbreak Express vs. <strong>The Dynamite Express © w/ Henry Garner</strong> </p><p> Comments: <em>Garner's boys aren't losing. Maybe they walk off and lose by countout, but they aren't dropping the titles.</em></p><p> </p><p> CWL United States Championship: <strong>Alexander Vasquez</strong> vs. Funakoshi ©</p><p> Comments: <em>Hope I'm wrong, but it doesn't make much sense to lose the challenge after defending the TV Title 7 times...</em></p><p> </p><p> CWL Women's Tag Team Championship: The Uprising vs. <strong>Ladies Night ©</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>I have enjoyed seeing the ladies tag division getting its run.</em></p><p> </p><p> GWC World Junior Heavyweight Championship: <strong>Mikey James</strong> vs. The Minor Annoyance ©</p><p> Comments: <em>Is James still on a talent trade? Either way, get the belt on a stud that can bring it with him to CWL.</em></p>
  11. Nothing like coming back from a long weekend to find the Slam write-up. Love Gino toppling the giant, even if I didn't think it would happen. I hoped he'd be the Canadian Champion sooner rather than later, but I didn't see him being the one to end Gargantuan's run. Also, Hernandez coming in at 30 and winning shouldn't be a big surprise, but in a scripted world, it just rarely happens. Great show, Lloyd!
  12. <p>'The End Of World's Most Wanted' – Grudge Match: </p><p> 'The Amazing' Jacob Jett [vs] <strong>'High Energy' Thrill Seeker</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>I doubt this is a one-off feud to blow up your biggest tag team. So I think Seeker gets the first win in some underhanded way, setting up the series.</em></p><p> </p><p> NOTBPW Television Title Match: </p><p> 'Cut Throat' Trent Shaffer [vs] <strong>'Notorious' Sayeed Ali © w/ The CTC</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>This would be a HUGE win for Ali on the popularity scale. But I think he ultimately makes the jump now, setting the stage for a feud coming with Youngman chasing the strap.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'The End Of The Animals' – Grudge Match: </p><p> Primed For Progress (Cameron Vessey & Christian Price) [vs] <strong>Iron and Stone (Tim Westybrook & Edd Stone)</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Stone is far too valuable to be on the losing end of a feud with the tag team here, especially with ultra popular Westy by his side. Stone for the win.</em></p><p> </p><p> NOTBPW Canadian Title Match: </p><p> 'Magnificent' Gino Montero [vs] <strong>'The Monster' Gargantuan ©</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Sorry, Gino. 13. Missed a predictions....damn. But glad to see some DeColt/Stone turmoil stirring the pot some to make this family dynasty seem even more spicy.
  14. Main Event Singles Match Sixty Minute Time Limit North American Heavyweight Championship "The Nightmare" Scythe w/ Father Grim versus "The Cornerstone" Riley McManus © I don't want to pick against McManus. I still think Campbell or Faith or someone like that topples him and not Fallen. Semi Main Event Eight Man Tag Team Match Thirty Minute Time Limit "The Boss" Ross Henry, The Keith Brothers, & "The Headhunter" Jeffery Aroma versus Bowen Services [spade, Campbell, Vessey, Valentine] w/ Lisa Bowen Henry got the first win over Spade with Lau. Time for Spade to return the favor. Grudge Match Tag Team Match Thirty Minute Time Limit Dog Collar Match Homegrown versus The Diaz Cousins Bit of a coin flip here. Homegrown surprised me last time, but I just think they are kind of floating around. I still wish you'd free them up for singles work. Possibly a team feud? Singles Match Thirty Minute Time Limit United States Championship Keith Holly w/ February Malaise versus "Lionheart" Funakoshi © This has flipped around, but I think Lionheart gets the final say. Tag Team Match Thirty Minute Time Limit North American Women's Tag Team Championship The Uprising versus Ladies Night © I'm enjoying the ladies tag scene. Keeps some of them working and building connections. Are you trying to find a few more pairings with good chemistry? Grudge Match Singles Match Thirty Minute Time Limit "The Canadian Wrestling Machine" David Stone versus "The Canadian Animal" Edd Stone Forgot this match was coming. I think the local guy gets the win unless Uncle Edd is hanging around for a blow-off match. Tag Team Match Thirty Minute Time Limit North American Tag Team Championship The Dynamite Express w/ Henry Garner versus The Heartbreak Express © Let's go with Garner's boys via help from Garner. Never been a big Heartbreak Express fan (although I love Liotta in singles action). Opening Match Singles Match Thirty Minute Time Limit North American Women's Championship "Country Made" Pearl Flanders versus Tiffany Jade I thought Jade was going to get the tag belts. Give her a little run here to say sorry for the bad chemistry note...
  15. 'The Amazing' Jacob Jett [vs] 'The Saviour of Wrestling' Jonathan Faust Unless it is by DQ (really? Gold beats Love?!?), Jett isn't beating Faust. I suspect we get a Seeker appearance... KC Glenn, Donte Dunn & Sonny Wildside [vs] The CanAm Blondes & Lord James King The CanAm Blondes are hot right now, but Dunn and Wildside have been stuck in a losing rut. Need them to bounce back before the Rumble. Dan DaLay & Robin DaLay [vs] Jack DeColt & Logan DeColt DeColts get the win as the DaLays continue to be an afterthought in NOTBPW. 'Magnificent' Gino Montero [vs] 'The Animal' Edd Stone w/ Tim Westybrook I might have leaned Stone before, but Montero gets the title shot next. Maybe P4P get some revenge here. The Ring Generals (Dean Waldorf & Marv Statler) [vs] The Mavericks (Julian Watson & John Maverick) Going underdogs here because a) my picks have been bad in the contest and need to try something new and b) I think the Mavericks (and particularly Watson) have a solid future here. They always struggle, but with an entrance in the Rumble likely in their future, this is a good boost over a team that can handle the loss. 'The Outsider' Steve DeColt [vs] 'The Monster' Gargantuan First, Gargantuan isn't getting pinned. He gets the 'loss' here by some outside involvement, be it Alex or POISON sticking his nose into it.
  16. I can imagine not. That is unlucky, but does give you a chance to give someone else the run with it instead of Tyler. Right?
  17. Quick question: was Stone-McFly's pregnancy already in the cards when you had her get the belt?
  18. In response to your answers above, the roster development and character growth has been awesome. I applaud your ability to bring in guys like Andrews, Montero, and Ali and move them virtually seamlessly into the roster and then organically grow them towards the desired role. Montero especially has been on a slow burn, but I think that just changed dramatically with the tournament win (although he gets his tail kicked in by Gargantuan first). 'The Hill-billy Heartthrob' Solomon Gold [vs] 'Dr. Love' Owen Love The new heel doctor gets a win over the brooding Gold. I expect Gold to slip off into Griffin territory pretty quickly. Sonny Wildside & Donte Dunn [vs] Jonathan Faust & POISON Interesting pairing between POISON and Faust. I think that would be an interesting pair moving forward, but this is a one off. Is this the first of a Wildside/POISON feud? 'Cut Throat' Trent Shaffer [vs] 'The Notorious' Sayeed Ali I'm partial to Ali, but I don't think he is on Shaffer's level, even if Shaffer has been floundering around a little bit. I would bet we see a CTC involvement towards the end... Primed For Progress (Cameron Vessey & Christian Price) [vs] Mayhem (Aldous Blackfriar & Mutant) Big match here in the middle of the card, so car crash time! Stone and Westy make an appearance here as the Animals breakup makes this a messy ending. NOTBPW All Action Title Match: 'Country Strong' KC Glenn © [vs] Erik Strong 'Though' I dislike Strong, which means you are doing a great job with him post-split from Dunn. I didn't think Glenn was going to hit the "top" this quickly, but I don't think Strong will get the belt on a rebound. 'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez Ricky going over Jack was almost as huge an upset for me as Montero winning the whole thing. That said, I think Hernandez ranks above Ricky in the pecking order, and he needs to regain some momentum after losing the triple threat.
  19. <p>The roster is really starting to develop nicely. </p><p> </p><p> 1. The main event scene is quite impressive, and the storylines staying moving is awesome. Gargantuan dominates the belt for now, but it isn't the only one as the DeColts (with POISON and DaLays) have a feud going outside the belt, and Gilmore just broke up the Animals. Hernandez and Andrews are odd guys out right now, but hopefully Hernandez gets back on the comet soon to the top.</p><p> </p><p> 2. You still have WMW pictures in tag teams, but my guess is that is a thing of the past (although they get a title match of some sort...more on that later is my guess).</p><p> </p><p> 3. Are you using the midcard guys in dark matches to keep them happy? Griffin, Brave, King, and Gold pop up once a month or so, but that would probably not be enough for their liking. If they are doing dark matches, do you have some low tier guys that are losing to them to keep them happy? </p><p> </p><p> Inquiring minds like to know...</p>
  20. <p>Quick Picks</p><p> GWC World Heavyweight Championship: <strong>Spencer Spade w/ Lisa Bowen</strong> vs. Ross Henry ©</p><p> Comments: <em>Spade and Henry might put on your best match ever. Either way, Spade grabs the gold.</em></p><p> </p><p> North American Heavyweight Championship: Hellion w/ Father Grim vs. <strong>Riley McManus ©</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Riley gets a good run here before Campbell or some other young stud grabs the belt.</em></p><p> </p><p> GWC World Openweight Championship: <strong>Torment w/ Father Grim</strong> vs. Matty Faith ©</p><p> Comments: <em>Torment got the build up and I thought he'd go after McManus. But I think he goes over here, giving the Fallen something to fight and defend.</em></p><p> </p><p> GWC World Tag Team Championship: <strong>The Keith Brothers</strong> vs. Bowen Services © w/ Lisa Bowen</p><p> Comments: <em>The issues with Aroma (and arrival of Valentine) make this a cauldron ready to explode.</em></p><p> </p><p> Grudge Match: Homegrown vs. <strong>The Diaz Cousins</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Homegrown has sadly drifted a little with the arrivals of really talented guys. I'd like to see Puder get a singles run soon.</em></p><p> </p><p> US Championship: Funakoshi vs. <strong>Keith Holly © w/ February Malaise</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>The Lionheart gives it a good match, but Holly retains.</em></p><p> </p><p> North American Women's Championship: Lucy Stone-McFly vs. <strong>Brooke Tyler ©</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Could go either way. The ladies don't really get much of a run on stroylines, so I hope the longer Slammasters and more ladies matches helps make some storylines in their division.</em></p><p> </p><p> North American Women's Tag Team Championship: Tex-Mex vs. <strong>Ladies Night</strong> vs. Jade & Parissi</p><p> Comments: <em>Jade as an inaugural champ was my pick...until the "no chemistry" note hit. Now one of the established teams gets it.</em></p>
  21. Two Day Tournament, Semi Final Match: 'The Magnificent' Gino Montero [vs] 'The Ace' Aaron Andrews Comments: Give Montero the big win here. Andrews has been gone, and a loss won't hurt him as he comes back into a storyline elsewhere, but this gives Montero a HUGE win on his resume. Two Day Tournament, Semi Final Match: 'The Man Without Fear' Sonny Wildside [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez Comments: A rematch from a few months back, but Hernandez will not be denied this time. Two Day Tournament, Semi Final Match: 'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt Comments: Move big brother into the triple threat final, making that a barn burner of a match. Career versus Career Match, with Edd Stone as Special Guest Referee: 'Angry' Tom Gilmore [vs] 'The Living Legend' Bryan Vessey Comments: I sincerely hope you aren't teasing us with the Animals dissension and Gilmore is gone. I can't imagine his contract is up yet, so I am taking Vessey. Put him down in development and let him teach the youngsters. All Action Title Match: 'Country Strong' KC Glenn [vs] 'The Barbarian' Donte Dunn [vs] Erik Strong 'Though' © [vs] 'The Saviour' Jonathan Faust Comments: Will Strong lose it at the first asking? Nah. Faust takes out Dunn and Strong sneaks in with a flash pinfall to end it. NOTBPW Canadian Title Match: 'The Monster' Ray Diaz [vs] 'The Monster' Gargantuan © Comments: There can only be one...MONSTER! Gargantuan gets to handle this spectacle fight before getting back to the standard NOTBPW fare. Two Day Tournament, Final Triple Threat Match: Gino Montero/Aaron Andrews [vs] Sonny Wildside/James Hernandez [vs] Ricky DeColt/Jack DeColt Comments: I think Hernandez reasserts himself here, also perhaps triggering a feud with Jack (which would help him get over, especially if he topples the DeColt brother). A Match For Power in NOTBPW: 'The Outsider' Steve DeColt [vs] 'The Mind' Alex DeColt Comments: I legitimately bolded both of these twice. I can see Steve winning via DQ when Alex gets someone to interfere, but then I think someone interferes and gets Alex the win. Honestly, this is a toss up. Bonus: 1). Which Match will be the Match Of The Night?: _Triple Threat Final_ 2). What will the overall Rating of the show be?: _88_ (within 5 gets a point. Spot on gets 2 points)
  22. <p>Two Day Tournament, First Round Match: </p><p> <strong>'Magnificent' Gino Montero</strong> [vs] 'The Black Sheep' Logan DeColt</p><p> Comments: <em>A good story here with Logan getting his shot, but I think Montero has a great showing in this one.</em></p><p> </p><p> Two Day Tournament, First Round Match: </p><p> <strong>'The Ace' Aaron Andrews</strong> [vs] 'Dark Watch' Aldous Blackfriar</p><p> Comments: <em>I planned on putting Blackfriar through until Andrews was announced as his opponent. Just not sure he can take down AAA.</em></p><p> </p><p> Two Day Tournament, First Round Match: </p><p> 'No Fear' Sonny Wildside [vs] <strong>'The Maverick' Julian Watson</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Watson has a future as a singles guy, and this is a good chance to see what he can do. Wildside has stalled a bit, so there really isn't any need to protect him here.</em></p><p> </p><p> Two Day Tournament, First Round Match: </p><p> <strong>'Mainstream' James Hernandez</strong> [vs] 'The Notorious' Sayeed Ali</p><p> Comments: <em>I wanted to ride Ali in the tournament too, but not at the cost of Hernandez. There are some heavy hitters in the bracket...</em></p><p> </p><p> Two Day Tournament, First Round Match: </p><p> <strong>'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt</strong> [vs] 'The King of the Wasteland' Mutant</p><p> Comments: <em>I want to pick Mutant, but of the two, I don't think he gets the win in Mayhem. Maybe we get a dirty decision here to keep him strong, but I don't think he can topple a DeColt, even if it is Ricky.</em></p><p> </p><p> Two Day Tournament, First Round Match: </p><p> 'The Assassin' Ernest Youngman [vs] <strong>'Wild Man' Jack DeColt</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Similarly to Mutant, not sure EY can take down Jack.</em></p><p> </p><p> The Return of The Angel: </p><p> 'The Fallen' Dark Angel [vs] <strong>'The Riddler' POISON w/ Prometheus</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>I agree that Angel losing makes him look a little weak, but he isn't here to climb the ranks. POISON gets a win (maybe with Prometheus's help) as he continues to create chaos.</em></p><p> </p><p> Triangle Ladder Match: </p><p> <strong>World's Most Wanted</strong> [vs] Primed For Progress [vs] The CanAm Blondes</p><p> Comments: <em>WMW gets the win, Gold gets involved to spoil CanAm's day, and P2P is there to help tell the story.</em></p><p> </p><p> Bonus: </p><p> 1). Which Match will be the Match Of The Night?: _<strong><em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Youngman/Jack DeColt</span></em></strong>_</p><p> 2). What will the overall Rating of the show be?: _<strong><em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">88</span></em></strong>_ (within 5 gets a point. Spot on gets 2 points)</p>
  23. <p>KC Glenn & Donte Dunn [vs] <strong>Jonathan Faust & Erik Strong</strong></p><p> <em>Shenanigans! The heels use something to get the win here.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Gino Montero & Sonny Wildside</strong> [vs] Julian Watson & Logan DeColt</p><p> <em>Unless Watson is on a moonshot, he won't be getting the win here.</em></p><p> </p><p> Robin DaLay [vs] <strong>'The Dark Shadow' Prometheus</strong></p><p> <em>FEED! ME! MORE!</em></p><p> </p><p> The Ring Generals (Dean Waldorf & Marv Statler) [vs] <strong>Mayhem (Aldous Blackfriar & Mutant)</strong></p><p> <em>Non-title? If so, maybe the old hands get a dirty win by WMW or someone else getting involved for story purposes. But I think Mayhem needs momentum to topple WMW.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tom Gilmore & Trent Shaffer</strong> [vs] Iron and Stone (Tim Westybrook & Edd Stone)</p><p> <em>The dissension grows amongst Stone and Vessey somehow in this one.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'The Outsider' Steve DeColt [vs] <strong>'Wild Man' Jack DeColt</strong></p><p> <em>Draw maybe since DeColts never lose on TV?
