  1. <p><em>I miss a Saturday and I miss an entire month and PPV! You crank out shows, man!</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>“Mr. Colorado” Ross Henry</strong> versus “The Blueblood” Paul Huntingdon</p><p> <em>Huntingdon won the first one, but I think he leaves the better party here after getting a DQ loss on Henry with some interference.</em></p><p> </p><p> North American Tag Team Championship</p><p> The Fat Cats versus <strong>Clyde Puder & Jakob Yoder ©</strong></p><p> <em>So if they pin the GWC champs, does PuYoder (or YoPuder if you prefer) get a shot at those next?</em></p><p> </p><p> United States Championship Match</p><p> <strong>Cameron Vessey w/ Lisa Bowen</strong> versus “The Canadian Wrestling Machine” David Stone ©</p><p> <em>I hope this program doesn't end, because these guys have burned the house down. Of course, probably means both should graduate up to a bigger title ASAP...</em></p><p> </p><p> The Keith Brothers versus <strong>The Fallen w/ Father Grim</strong></p><p> <em>This is a tough call, and either team could win. But bad guys should win the first one to keep it moving.</em></p><p> </p><p> North American Women’s Championship</p><p> <strong>Alicia Strong</strong> versus Jaime Quine ©</p><p> <em>Can Strong lose twice to start her CWL career? I don't think she will.</em></p><p> </p><p> 30 Man Over-the-Top-Rope Battle Royale</p><p> Winner Receives a North American Heavyweight championship Shot at Christmas Chaos</p><p> <em>Evil Dead would give Diaz a good fight, and could set up a Fallen versus Diaz family storyline.</em></p>
  2. <p><em>I am a Cavanagh fan, so I am sad to see him go. I am glad he went out somewhat vindicated with a damn good match!</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> 'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt [vs] <strong>'The Animal' Edd Stone w/ Tim Westybrook</strong></p><p> <em>Edd hasn't had a great run of form, losing his last 1 v 1 to Youngman, so this is a chance to build some back up. Ricky is a DeColt, but this is a matchup he can lose and not seem overly weak, especially if some hijinks occur.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'The Hillbilly Heartthrob' Solomon Gold w/ The Natural [vs] <strong>'Rapid' Ross Henry w/ The CTC</strong></p><p> <em>While I don't think the CTC wins everything here, Gold is the likeliest candidate in the other trio to lose. Also, I love Ross Henry when booked right, but heel Henry is going to be a change of pace...</em></p><p> </p><p> 'The Shooting Star' Erik Strong [vs] <strong>'The Man Beast' Akima Brave</strong></p><p> <em>The Strong/Dunn split is nice, but I want it done so Dunn can move on up. </em></p><p><em> This starts it quickly.</em></p><p> </p><p> Loser Leaves NOTBPW: </p><p> <strong>Gino Montero</strong> [vs] Luis Montero Jr.</p><p> <em>If you have Gino leave here, you've been sending us on the biggest swerve of all time about making him a star.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>'The Assassin of the Squared Circle' Ernest Youngman</strong> [vs] 'The Living Legend' Bryan Vessey w/ Tim Westybrook</p><p> <em>Youngman has toppled the always popular Westybrook, and then took down the group leader in Stone. Will he lose to the old muscle? I think no.</em></p><p> </p><p> NOTBPW Television Title Match: </p><p> <strong>'The Man Without Fear' Sonny Wildside ©</strong> [vs] 'Shooter' Sean Deeley</p><p> <em>TV TITLE ON TV!!! As Curly Bill said in Tombstone, "Well.....bye, Sean." </em></p><p><em> Maybe not an exact quote, but close enough.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Steve DeColt & Angry Gilmore</strong> [vs] POISON & James Hernandez</p><p> <em>I always expect thing to get hinky, so I see POISON turning on Hernandez or making Steve go a little off the reservation. I am picking the former, and he costs them the match (and doesn't care about it) and gives Hernandez an excuse.</em></p>
  3. <p>Main Event</p><p> Singles Match</p><p> Sixty Minute Time Limit</p><p> North American Heavyweight Championship</p><p> <strong>"The Return of the Monster" James Diaz </strong><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">©</span></strong> versus Ox Mastadon © w/ Lisa Bowen</p><p> <em>Ox was a great champ and helped carry the company through some defections, but he is not the champ for a cult-level company. Time to get some young blood on the belt.</em></p><p> </p><p> Special Attraction</p><p> Singles Match</p><p> Forty-Five Minute Time Limit</p><p> "Mr. Colorado" Ross Henry versus <strong>"The Blue Blood" Paul Huntingdon</strong></p><p> <em>I think Huntingdon walks out while Henry doesn't but it could be because Huntingdon wins or his lackeys come put Henry away for him. I am going to say he gets the win to give them some momentum.</em></p><p> </p><p> Tag Team Match</p><p> Forty Five Minute Time Limit</p><p> GWC World Tag Team Championship</p><p> The Mission versus <strong>The Fat Cats ©</strong></p><p> <em>The Fat Cats became really relevant, really fast. Partnering with Huntingdon makes them even more relevant for you and the GWC. I predict a decent run here.</em></p><p> </p><p> Singles Match</p><p> Thirty Minute Time Limit</p><p> North American Women's Championship</p><p> Jaime Quine versus <strong>Missy Masterson ©</strong></p><p> <em>Quine would be a great champ, but I like Masterson. She is as reliable as they come in getting you ratings in that division.</em></p><p> </p><p> Singles Match</p><p> Thirty Minute Time Limit</p><p> <strong>"Bulldozer" Brandon Smith</strong> versus Giant Brody</p><p> <em>Brody is a fun one, but he is just another monster in a sea of monsters right now. Would love to see him pair with Ox and create a giant tag team as Ox teaches him the ways of the squash.</em></p><p> </p><p> Tag Team Match</p><p> Thirty Minute Time Limit</p><p> North American Tag Team Championship</p><p> The Southern Stars versus <strong>The Devil's Rejects © w/ February Malaise</strong></p><p> <em>The Southern Stars seem like good hands, but I don't think they are high enough up the tag team hierarchy to take the belts.</em></p><p> </p><p> Singles Match</p><p> Twenty Minute Time Limit</p><p> United States Championship</p><p> <strong>Cameron Vessey w/ Lisa Bowen</strong> versus "The Canadian Wrestling Machine" David Stone ©</p><p> <em>Bowen needs someone to be relevant, and since I have Ox dropping the belt, I'll say Vessey starts a run here.</em></p><p> </p><p> Singles Match</p><p> Twenty Minute Time Limit</p><p> <strong>"The Mennonite Mammoth" Jakob Yoder</strong> versus Andrew Harper w/ Lisa Bowen</p><p> <em>PuYoder need some momentum, so I am taking Yoder here (and Puder will get some love next time).</em></p><p> </p><p> Opening Match</p><p> Singles Match</p><p> Twenty Minute Time Limit</p><p> Othello Morris versus <strong>"Big Money" Brandon James w/ Lisa Bowen</strong></p><p> <em>I agree with Reaper that, while Big Cat is heading out, you give him a win here as a last tip of the hat before he goes out on his shield.</em></p>
  4. <p><strong>'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn</strong> [vs] 'The Man Beast' Akima Brave</p><p> <em>The Dunn arc will be interesting to see. Generally, it takes a little while to build someone up from where he currently sits into a prime player, but I have faith that you can make it work. I foresee a similar line like Orson took...</em></p><p> </p><p> Local Enhancement Talents [vs] <strong>Mayhem (Aldous Blackfriar & Mutant)</strong></p><p> <em>Should be short and sweet. I hope Mayhem get some focus on a story soon.</em></p><p> </p><p> The Natural w/ Solomon Gold [vs] <strong>'The East Side Assassin' Sayeed Ali w/ The CTC</strong></p><p> <em>I've been waiting for this for a while. I love me some Sayeed!</em></p><p> </p><p> Gino Montero [vs] <strong>Logan DeColt</strong></p><p> <em>Tough call here, but this will help Logan continue his underhanded ways of winning by getting one over on Gino.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'Cut Throat' Trent Shaffer [vs] <strong>'Mainstream' James Hernandez</strong></p><p> <em>I am excited to see a Hernandez/Gargantuan or Hernandez/Gilmore feud coming up. Either could make for some good viewing.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'No Fear' Sonny Wildside [vs] <strong>'Wild Man' Jack DeColt</strong></p><p> <em>Sell away, Sonny...</em></p>
  5. <p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">NIGHT 1</span></strong></p><p> North American Heavyweight Championship</p><p> KC Glenn versus Riley McManus w/ Jeffery Aroma versus <strong>Ox Mastadon © w/ Lisa Bowen</strong></p><p> <em>I agree that Aroma costs McManus, and Glenn is just the unlucky bystander as Ox continues his run.</em></p><p> </p><p> North American Tag Team Championship</p><p> <strong>Clyde Puder & Jakob Yoder</strong> versus The Devil's Rejects © w/ February Malaise</p><p> <em>Both of these guys can change the whole tag division for CWL, but the Rejects are legit.</em></p><p> </p><p> United States Championship</p><p> <strong>Matthew Keith</strong> versus "The Nightmare" Scythe © w/ Father Grim</p><p> <em>But he doesn't get the belt. Scythe loses by DQ as he shows he is as merciless and brutal as they come.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">NIGHT 2</span></strong></p><p> GWC World Heavyweight Championship</p><p> "Mr. Colorado" Ross Henry versus <strong>Gino Montero ©</strong></p><p> <em>Gino is a star, and while I always like running the alliance titles through my company, you've balanced that. Montero gets the win as Davids or Cavanagh make it happen.</em></p><p> </p><p> GWC World Tag Team Championship</p><p> The Fat Cats versus <strong>The Mission ©</strong></p><p> <em>The Fat Cats kind of came out of nowhere, so there must have been some build up for them outside CWL. Still, Ranger and Faith have been on a tear in match ratings, so let them continue to flex in the GWC.</em></p><p> </p><p> North American Women's Championship</p><p> Suzanne Brazzle versus <strong>Missy Masterson ©</strong></p><p> <em>Missy is a good champ as you build up some of the talent in TWL.</em></p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>GOLD RUSH TOURNAMENT</strong></span></p><p> <em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Opening Round</span></em></p><p> <strong>Bulldozer Brandon Smith</strong> vs Lars Brecher</p><p> Des Davids vs <strong>James Diaz</strong></p><p> Buckminster Snark vs. <strong>David Stone</strong></p><p> Alexander Vasquez vs <strong>Cameron Vessey</strong></p><p> <strong>Yoshimi Mushashibo</strong> vs Deever Arnold</p><p> Guide vs <strong>Hellion</strong></p><p> <strong>Jay Chord</strong> vs Greg Keith</p><p> El Heroe Mexicano vs <strong>Sayeed Ali</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>Quarterfinals</em></p><p> Bulldozer Brandon Smith vs <strong>James Diaz</strong></p><p> <strong>David Stone</strong> vs Cameron Vessey</p><p> Yoshimi Mushashibo vs <strong>Hellion</strong></p><p> <strong>Jay Chord</strong> vs Sayeed Ali</p><p> </p><p> <em>Semifinals</em></p><p> James Diaz vs <strong>David Stone</strong></p><p> <strong>Hellion</strong> vs Jay Chord</p><p> </p><p> <em>Finals</em></p><p> David Stone vs <strong>Hellion</strong></p>
  6. <p>Grudge Match: </p><p> <strong>'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt w/ Steve DeColt</strong> [vs] POISON</p><p> Comments: <em>I think Ricky gets the win but it is because POISON gets DQed. POISON's shtick reminds me CM Punk circa 2011 and Nexus. He'll take the loss to send a more important message.</em></p><p> </p><p> Grudge Match: </p><p> Los Monteros (Gino Montero & Luis Montero Jr.) [vs] <strong>Jack DeColt & Logan DeColt</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>I want to pick Magnificent Montero here, but the DeColts make a formidable opponent, especially since Gino is still building his popularity here. Luis eats the pin, Gino looks like a star, and we move on.</em></p><p> </p><p> NOTBPW Television Title Match: </p><p> <strong>'The Man Without Fear' Sonny Wildside ©</strong> [vs] 'The Living Legend' Bryan Vessey</p><p> Comments: <em>Interesting to see Vessey get some ring run, and he and Wildside should have a great match. I find it interesting that Wildside keeps defending that TV title on PPVs. You need to revamp a semi-main event title and put the TV Title back on the weekly shows!</em></p><p> </p><p> Winner gets the rights to Logan DeColt's surname: </p><p> 'The Iron Fist' Dan DaLay [vs] <strong>'The Mind' Alex DeColt</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>I don't think The Mind is coming out of retirement to lose to Dan. Still, this could be a spotfest with about 10 people getting involved.</em></p><p> </p><p> 4 on 4 Match: </p><p> <strong>Ernest Youngman, The Ring Generals & Trent Shaffer</strong> [vs] Edd Stone, Tim Westybrook & Primed For Progress</p><p> Comments: <em>Youngman is shooting up the card, and when I finally pick him here, he will probably lose. Sorry Ernie, this one's on me...</em></p><p> </p><p> Loser Leaves Town Match: </p><p> Angry Gilmore <strong>[vs]</strong> 'Mighty' Danny Cavanagh</p><p> Comments: <em>No one leaves town! CTC makes their presence felt, and no one gets this win with the match being called somewhere in the carnage.</em></p><p> </p><p> NOTBPW Canadian Title Match: </p><p> 'The Ace' Aaron Andrews [vs] <strong>'The Monster' Gargantuan ©</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Gargantuan is bigger, but I always think of Rusev as the Bulgarian Brute when it comes to him. Obviously more over, but the power game still translates. I'm afraid Ace doesn't have much of a shot here.</em></p><p> </p><p> Bonus: </p><p> 1). Which Match will be Match of the Night?: _<span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Andrews [vs] Gargantuan</strong></span>_</p><p> 2). What will the overall rating of the show be?: ___<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">88</span></strong>___ (within 5 gets a point. Spot on gets 2 points)</p><p> 3). Will the Coast To Coast Connection make an appearance?: __<span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>yes</strong></span>__</p><p> 4). If they do appear on the show, who do the CTC Connection attack?: __<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Cavanagh/Gilmore</span></strong>__</p>
  7. Donte Dunn & Erik Strong [vs] Primed For Progress (Cameron Vessey & Christian Price) P4P get the win, but we have to start seeing the fracturing of Dunn and Strong. Could this be the spot that Dunn looks good enough to partner with Youngman? Robin DaLay [vs] Gino Montero Gino isn't losing to the forgotten DaLay. Actually, he isn't losing to any DaLay. 'The Hillbilly Heartthrob' Solomon Gold [vs] 'The King of the Wasteland' Mutant Mutant CRUSH! Steve DeColt & Ricky DeColt [vs] The Mavericks (John Maverick & Julian Watson) POISON sighting? Should be a straightforward win, but there will be postmatch shenanigans. Mark 'The Anvil' Griffin [vs] 'The Man Beast' Akima Brave To the moon with Griffin! Brave might get the win here so reestablish himself as the gatekeeper, but I like Griffin and hope he climbs the ranks some. 'The Ace' Aaron Andrews [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt Eh, I'll take a bit of a wild swing here. While Andrews should be a legitimate threat for Gargantuan, he isn't. So no need to get him too much run heading in, but you can kill two birds with one stone by making this an unclean loss through interference by either Monteros or Gargantuan to keep the suspense.
  8. <p><strong>'The Ace' Aaron Andrews</strong> [vs] 'Gentleman' Lord James King</p><p> <em>We last saw King beating Seeker, but this is no Seeker. Andrews with the win.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn</strong> [vs] 'The Man Beast' Akima Brave</p><p> <em>I almost picked Brave. Eventually, Strong is going to cost Dunn a match, but I don't think this is the one. He should beat Brave and I think that "coincidental interference" comes to a bigger name down the line.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'The Assassin' Ernest Youngman [vs] <strong>'The Animal' Edd Stone w/ Tim Westybrook</strong></p><p> <em>Youngman is up and coming, but Stone is big. If Westy proved a hurdle too high, I don't think Stone is any lower. Could it be a DQ win like we saw with Ricky? Maybe, but I don't think that happens here.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Mark 'The Anvil' Griffin</strong> [vs] 'Mr. Impact' Hugh Ancrie</p><p> <em>I like Griffin. And if I recall, Ancrie is on his way out. No point putting him over now.</em></p><p> </p><p> Thrill Seeker [vs] <strong>'Mainstream' James Hernandez</strong></p><p> <em>Come back Jacob Jett! Hernandez gets another win here over a previous ally.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'The Ice Man' Derek Frost [vs] <strong>'The Monster' Gargantuan</strong></p><p> <em>Frosty stands next to no chance here.</em></p>
  9. <p><strong>Donte Dunn & Erik Strong</strong> [vs] The Mavericks (John Maverick & Julian Watson)</p><p> <em>I think the split is coming, but this isn't a miscommunication loss but a showing of one-upmanship as they try to outduel each other in the ring. Either way, I am excited for Dunn moving forward as a singles wrestler.</em></p><p> </p><p> Harrison Hash's Final Match in NOTBPW </p><p> 'All Business' Harrison Hash [vs] <strong>????</strong></p><p> <em>You sent McFly out with a win, but I think that Hash is willing to go out on his shield.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'Awesome' Wade Orson [vs] <strong>'The Monster' Gargantuan</strong></p><p> <em>Ouch.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>'The Assassin' Ernest Youngman</strong> [vs] 'The Enforcer' Tim Westybrook</p><p> <em>Why not let Youngman just skyrocket here? Westy gives him some more pop with the win, and he can slowly enter into a feud with The Animals.</em></p><p> </p><p> The American Blondes (The Natural & Solomon Gold) [vs] <strong>Mayhem (Aldous Blackfriar & Mutant)</strong></p><p> <em>American Blondes served their purpose as Love is coming back, but Mayhem has legs long term plans in the tag division.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt [vs] <strong>'Wild Man' Jack DeColt</strong></p><p> <em>It is tough to hear Ricky lacks that star quality. I have always liked him, but that probably means big brother gets the big win here.</em></p>
  10. <p>Grudge Match: </p><p> 'The Assassin of the Squared Circle' Ernest Youngman [vs] <strong>'Shooter' Sean Deeley</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Youngman will ultimately prevail here, but I don't believe that this feud is finished. So Deeley gets the win, setting up a winner-takes-all decider down the road.</em></p><p> </p><p> NOTBPW Television Title Match: </p><p> <strong>'No Fear' Sonny Wildside ©</strong> [vs] 'Cut Throat' Trent Shaffer</p><p> Comments: <em>Wildside has blow up with his toppling of Hernandez, and I don't think he drops this back at the first challenger. That said, Shaffer losing to Wildside speaks volumes to how much your roster developed in his absence.</em></p><p> </p><p> Grudge Match: </p><p> <strong>Bad Reputation w/ Robin DaLay</strong> [vs] Logan DeColt & Jack DeColt</p><p> Comments: <em>An interesting match here, but I have a feeling that Logan is there to take the loss and further the DaLay's in this overarching feud.</em></p><p> </p><p> Luis Montero Jr. is banned from ringside: </p><p> <strong>Gino Montero</strong> [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez</p><p> Comments: <em>This is probably the hardest for me to call, with Mr. Momentum/Hernandez himself having stumbled of late and with Gino obviously being a major part of NOTBPW moving forward. But Gino "Magnificent" Montero (see what I did there) gets a win over a rising star as he moves up the pecking order.</em></p><p> </p><p> NOTBPW Tag Team Title Match: </p><p> The Ring Generals [vs] <strong>Primed For Progress © w/ Bryan Vessey</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Ring Generals are not quite ready for the belts, but I foresee this continuing to bubble as Ring Generals should be poised to be the top face team soon.</em></p><p> </p><p> Grudge Match: </p><p> <strong>'The Outsider' Steve DeColt</strong> [vs] POISON</p><p> Comments: <em>I love me some POISON, but he shouldn't beat your figurehead. This is a good chance for him to show what he can do as he settles back into a gatekeeper role.</em></p><p> </p><p> NOTBPW Canadian Title Match: </p><p> Aaron Andrews [vs] Angry Gilmore [vs] Ricky DeColt [vs] <strong>Gargantuan ©</strong> [vs] Danny Cavanagh [vs] Edd Stone</p><p> Comments: <em>The storyline of three 1v1 matches makes this one interesting as it forwards two stories (Gilmore/Cavanagh and Stone/Andrews), but I think that is ultimately what it is here for. Gargantuan wins by pinning Ricky when everyone else is off brawling.</em></p><p> </p><p> Bonus: </p><p> 1). Which match will be Match of the Night?: _<span style="text-decoration:underline;"><em>Montero/Hernandez</em></span>_</p><p> 2). What will the final rating of the show be?: _<span style="text-decoration:underline;"><em>87</em></span>_ (within 5 gets a point. Spot on gets 2 points)</p><p> 3). Which match will be interrupted by new arrivals?: _<span style="text-decoration:underline;"><em>Tag Team Championship match</em></span>_</p><p> 4). How many Titles will change hands?: _<span style="text-decoration:underline;"><em>0</em></span>_</p>
  11. <p><strong>'The Man Without Fear' Sonny Wildside</strong> [vs] 'The Man Beast' Akima Brave</p><p> <em>Brave does his job and makes Wildside look good.</em></p><p> </p><p> The American Blondes [vs] <strong>Primed For Progress</strong></p><p> <em>Another match to help the champs look like champs.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>'High Energy' Thrill Seeker</strong> [vs] 'Gentleman' Lord James King</p><p> <em>The monthly "rebuild Thrill Seeker so he can lose to a main event guy" has begun...</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Los Monteros</strong> [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez & ??</p><p> <em>Now we are getting interesting. Like most others, I am going against my nature and picking against ???. First, it worked last time (thanks Seeker!). </em></p><p><em> Second, Gino and Hernandez are on a collision course I believe, and this is a good way to get them in the same ring. ??? takes the pin, Monteros win, and a feud is born.</em></p><p> </p><p> The Ring Generals & Ernest Youngman [vs] <strong>Edd Stone, Tim Westybrook & Bryan Vessey</strong></p><p> <em>This was a hard pick because Ring Generals should look strong against The Animals ahead of their match, but I think Deeley or P4P distract here to give The Animals a win. Plus, The Animals need to get their groove back after taking a licking from Triple A.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>'The Outsider' Steve DeColt</strong> [vs] 'Mighty' Danny Cavanagh</p><p> <em>I would normally go with a draw, but I don't think Steve needs to ever have a draw in a match with Cavanagh. Sports entertainment finish might get it called, but I think there is involvement that ends with Steve's win.</em></p>
  12. <p><strong>Logan DeColt</strong> -- What about "Destiny?" He was destined to be a DeColt and now he gets the opportunity? I admit I am grasping for straws here...</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Robin DaLay</strong> -- I agree with FellaLibby that "Future" works here, but you could also do "Son of Dan" for a bit. Bit of a play off "Son of Sam," the serial killer in the US, but he becomes the muscle for Bad Reputation. He could then transition into the "Future" role as Dan steps away...</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Angry Gilmore</strong> -- Since "Angry" is already a nickname, maybe have him transition into Tom "Angry" Gilmore, with a persona when he becomes the Angry One. I can see it working like we see Balor transition into the Demon every now and then to reach down and find a second gear. His move from SWF (sports entertainment) to NOTBPW (more technical wrestling) let's him leave behind the acting and stick to fists, but he sometimes has to reach back into the Angry side to get the win.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Natural</strong> -- Its hard to get a nickname for someone with a nickname...</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Gino Montero</strong> -- Gino "Magnifico" Montero. I have used the two Monteros before in a game and called them The Magnifico Monteros, so this one seems to work for me. Plus, he gets to play up his heritage and skills with an aire of superiority.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Ernest Youngman</strong> -- The direction you take him could be determinative. If he sticks to the heel side, Assassin works. But if he is flipping sides and you want more middle of the road, maybe The Technician, which can conjure up a henchman, assassin, or just in-ring technician.</p>
  13. <p>Luis Montero Jr. [vs] <strong>'Mainstream' James Hernandez</strong></p><p> <em>Luis is heading in a different direction than his brother. Hernandez needs to get back on track with some momentum before climbing back into the main event discussion.</em></p><p> </p><p> Trent Shaffer & ??? [vs] <strong>Sonny Wildside & ???</strong></p><p> <em>Conventional wisdom says give Shaffer a win and a chance to show Wildside he can win. But you're building up Wildside, so let this be a bit of a swerve that gives Shaffer someone to feud with post-Wildside.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>'Awesome' Wade Orson</strong> [vs] 'All Business' Harrison Hash</p><p> <em>Rinse and repeat.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Logan DeColt</strong> [vs] Local Enhancement Talent</p><p> <em>I knew it was the love child...if only that translated into correct predictions. But now it is time to build up this intrepid young man. I presume his team with Robin DaLay is dead now?</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>'The Ace' Aaron Andrews</strong> [vs] 'The Enforcer' Tim Westybrook</p><p> <em>Not sure this ends up cleanly, but Ace should get the victory over Westybrook (who is slowly coming down the pecking order, which is a good thing).</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>'The Outsider' Steve DeColt</strong> [vs] 'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt</p><p> <em>A DeColt doesn't lose on TV. Wait a darn minute... So let's think this through: POISON is a thorn in Steve's side, Ricky is low man on the family totem pole (and has no real future carrying the bucket for the name), and Jack is at odds with DaLay. I am going with Steve here because I think POISON makes a statement postmatch and not during it.</em></p><p> </p><p> Auto prize for the first person to guess POISON's mystery word...</p><p> <em>Might first guess was "Rogue Nation" with his brother, but you dispelled that a few posts back. "Anarchy" is my current guess, but I reserve the right to change it. </em><img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  14. <p><strong>'Awesome' Wade Orson</strong> [vs] Julian Watson w/ John Maverick</p><p> <em>Orson needs to find a new feud, and this gives him some more momentum heading into it.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'All Business' Harrison Hash [vs] <strong>Gino Montero</strong> w/ Luis Montero Jr.</p><p> <em>Time for Gino to start separating himself. Frankly, he could be a BIG name here soon, not just because of star quality, but because of the story he can have in angles with the DeColts.</em></p><p> </p><p> Number One Contenders Match </p><p> Bad Reputation [vs] The American Blondes [vs] Mayhem [vs] <strong>The Ring Generals</strong></p><p> <em>I've become terrible at predicting in your diary. So why not go outside the box? The Generals are slowing working on picking a side with Deeley or Youngman, so this is a good filler for P4P. Plus, Deeley or Youngman can interject here to move that storyline along while keeping the tag champs busy for the time being.</em></p><p> </p><p> Number One Contenders Match </p><p> <strong>'Cut Throat' Trent Shaffer</strong> [vs] ????</p><p> <em>Rule #1 in predicting: Never pick against ????. I might have figured out why I do poorly...</em></p><p> </p><p> 'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn [vs] <strong>'Shooter' Sean Deeley</strong></p><p> <em>Deeley is too good to flounder around, so he needs to be back in the spotlight soon.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'The Man Without Fear' Sonny Wildside [vs] <strong>'Wild Man' Jack DeColt</strong></p><p> <em>Honestly, if Wildside beats a DeColt on TV, he will not stop until he topples Gargantuan at the next PPV!</em></p>
  15. Ouch...but I can't even make a case that you're wrong. I'm on tilt and have to find my way back. CAGE Match: 'The Ace' Aaron Andrews [vs] 'The Animal' Edd Stone w/ Tim Westybrook Comments: It has a certain TCW feel here, but I can't explain why... This is kind of the first real installment here between these two in an individual feud, so I am going with Edd as the leader of the new crew and to start this off on the right (or wrong?) foot. CAGE Match: 'Awesome' Wade Orson [vs] POISON Comments: I flipped around a few times on this one. POISON is such a great character, but because of his snake-ish style, he can win by losing feuds. Orson is an up and coming talent in NOTBPW, while POISON has to be sinking a bit with his age and injury history. But I think this one could be quite the rubber match (but it is more than 3 in a 3 month span, so might get docked points for repetitive booking). Grudge Match: 'The Iron Fist' Dan DaLay [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt Comments: It is interesting from a storyline perspective, but there is no planet in which Dan should pin DeColt here. NOTBPW Tag Team Title Match: Trent Shaffer & Thrill Seeker [vs] Cameron Vessey & Christian Price © w/ Bryan Vessey Comments: A bit of a forced matchup, and I'd be lying if I didn't think Mayhem should be the champs here. But PFP got the belts back, and Mayhem will have to wait a little while at least until a face team gets them back. For now, PFP is as good a team as you have. NOTBPW Television Title, 2 out of 3 Falls Match: 'No Fear' Sonny Wildside © [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez Comments: I envision Wildside to be a bubbly Jeff Hardy guy, willing to do something stupid to get that last pin. Here's to hoping he takes a stunt bump doing it to really make this the barnburner it should be. First Time Ever Match: Steve DeColt & Ricky DeColt [vs] Gino Montero & Luis Montero Jr. Comments: Could the Monteros win? Of course. Should the Monteros win? Maybe. But I don't think Steve should be on the losing end here, and letting him pin Luis gives Gino and Luis a bump for just crossing horns with the great DeColts while keeping Steve atop the pecking order. NOTBPW Canadian Title, CAGE Match: Angry Gilmore [vs] 'The Monster' Gargantuan © Comments: I might pick against Gargantuan if it was Mark Griffin...wait. But either way, I don't think this is Gilmore's time. Bonus: 1). Which match will be Match of the Night?: _Wildside/Hernandez_ 2). What will the overall show rating be?: _87_ (within 5 gets a point. Spot on gets 2 points) 3). How many Titles will change hands?: (out of three) _0_

  17. <p>NOTBPW Tag Team Title Match: </p><p> <strong>Bad Reputation (Dan DaLay & Derek Frost) ©</strong> [vs] Primed For Progress (Cameron Vessey & Christian Price)</p><p> <em>Bad Reputation took the belts so PFP could get involved in their new group, but I don't see the hotshot of the titles back that quickly. Plus, I think it is good to get fresh faces atop the tag ranks (and I agree with others—this is ultimately holding down the spot for Mayhem.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'The Assassin of the Squared Circle' Ernest Youngman [vs] <strong>'Shooter' Sean Deeley</strong></p><p> <em>I love Youngman and I could see him getting a quick rollup for the win, but I just don't think it happens. This tear down of the Shooters has some legs to it, and Shooter staying at the top until the bitter end is the way it will likely go.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Los Monteros (Gino & Luis Jr.)</strong> [vs] 'Gentleman' Lord James King & 'Mr. Impact' Hugh Ancrie</p><p> <em>Calling out the DeColts is bold, and probably means an L at the PPV, but the Monteros haven't set the world afire in NOTBPW. I have no problem with that since I hate vaulting guys straight to the top when they show up, especially in an established promotion. But they need to get some momentum going soon or they need to get into a true feud with someone.</em></p><p> </p><p> The American Blondes (Solomon Gold & The Natural) [vs] <strong>Mayhem (Aldous Blackfriar & Mutant)</strong></p><p> <em>Mayhem takes the next step up the tag team ranks, and it is well deserved. Blackfriar can be gold, and he carries Mutant very well. FWIW, I want a Mutant t-shirt.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>'Cut Throat' Trent Shaffer</strong> [vs] 'High Energy' Thrill Seeker</p><p> <em>Same song, different verse. Seeker loses to the more established performer and then goes back for two wins over the midcard.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Angry Gilmore</strong> [vs] 'The Ace' Aaron Andrews</p><p> <em>I toyed with a draw here, but I believe the Stones end it with Gilmore getting the win, be it by attacking him first or interfering in the match. Gilmore shouldn't take the loss, and Andrews can handle it while losing to a better performer.</em></p>
  18. <p>'Cut Throat' Trent Shaffer [vs] <strong>'The Assassin of the Squared Circle' Ernest Youngman</strong></p><p> <em>This is the hardest one for me to predict, but I think the growth of the company while Shaffer was away will make this a lot closer on overness. And Youngman and Deeley are heading to a point, so time to get the young gun moving in the right direction.</em></p><p> </p><p> Donte Dunn & Erik Strong [vs] <strong>'The Mavericks' (John Maverick & Julian Watson)</strong></p><p> <em>The Mavericks give a good run against your face teams, so build them up some before a face team takes them down, be it Bad Reuptation or the Monteros.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Thrill Seeker</strong> [vs] 'The Man Beast' Akima Brave</p><p> <em>He is not in the picture anymore, but Seeker gives good work for the main event guys. Give him some momentum here with a win over a game Brave.</em></p><p> </p><p> Robin DaLay & Logan [vs] <strong>'Mayhem' Aldous Blackfriar & Mutant</strong></p><p> <em>I won't lie—the team of DaLay and Logan is a weird one for me. They are immediately in a major storyline with the DeColts, but there is no way that they get wins right now with their abilities and pop.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>'The Ace' Aaron Andrews</strong> [vs] 'The Enforcer' Tim Westybrook</p><p> <em>Andrews is money, so I hope he gets the win over the new enforcer. And Westybrook moving into the muscle role is perfect for him. He transitions out of the big main event picture slowly, but does so by propping up his crew along the way.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'Awesome' Wade Orson [vs] <strong>'Wild Man' Jack DeColt</strong></p><p> <em>POISON pop up? Probably at some point, but Jack doesn't need that to beat Orson. But thi is one of those matches where he still gains from the loss.</em></p>
  19. <p>Thanks for the insight. I really enjoy these posts from writers because it helps to understand how and why someone else books the way they do. I haven't jumped into the diary pool (yet), but it adds insight into my own personal games as I develop my gameplay there.</p><p> </p><p> And as always, KUTGW!</p>
  20. <p><em>I am all over the place on my predictions. I need to get my head straight...</em></p><p> </p><p> Pre-Show Match: </p><p> 'Mighty' Danny Cavanagh [vs] <strong>'Shooter' Sean Deeley w/ The Shooters</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>This is an odd pairing, and it could be a match where Cavangh gets some momentum back. But Deeley is on a roll, and I don't think that is by accident. Once again, Cavanagh will help gives someone a good match and a win.</em></p><p> </p><p> Mystery Opponent: </p><p> ???? [vs] <strong>'Wild Man' Jack DeColt</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Jack gets a win, and I hope his new meeting kicks off a story arc for him.</em></p><p> </p><p> Grudge Match: </p><p> <strong>'Awesome' Wade Orson</strong> [vs] POISON</p><p> Comments: <em>This could go either way, and I love me some POISON, but his time has to have come a little, especially with the year out. Orson could be special, and this can get him into the mix for the Television title.</em></p><p> </p><p> Grudge Match: </p><p> <strong>Steve DeColt & Ricky DeColt</strong> [vs] The Ring Generals w/ The Shooters</p><p> Comments: <em>I still think the Shooters are on the way out, and this is another loss on the Generals belt.</em></p><p> </p><p> Match: </p><p> <strong>RDJ, Aaron Andrews, Bryan Vessey & Sam Keith</strong> [vs] Edd Stone, Tim Westybrook, Cameron Vessey & Christian Price</p><p> Comments: <em>Since it doesn't look like an elimination match, I think the older guys get the win while Vessey or Price eat the pin for the heels.</em></p><p> </p><p> 20 Minute Scramble Match for the NOTBPW Television Title: </p><p> 'The Man Without Fear' Sonny Wildside [vs] <strong>'Mainstream' James Hernandez ©</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>I don't see the first pin being from Wildside, but heel Hernandez is a fun Hernandez.</em></p><p> </p><p> Singles Match for the NOTBPW Canadian Title: </p><p> Angry Gilmore [vs] <strong>'The Monster' Gargantuan ©</strong></p><p> Comments: <em>Honestly, there isn't anyone else on the roster now that I think can topple the monster the way you've booked him, but it isn't right now.</em></p><p> </p><p> Bonus: </p><p> 1). 21. <p><strong>'No Fear' Sonny Wildside</strong> [vs] 'Shooter' Sean Deeley w/ Ernest Youngman</p><p> <em>It might not be clean with Youngman at ringside, but Wildside gets the W to build up to his loss to Hernandez.</em></p><p> </p><p> Thrill Seeker [vs] <strong>'The Animal' Edd Stone w/ Tim Westybrook</strong></p><p> <em>I feel for Thrill Seeker. He and Jett were destined for a decent little tag run, but he is rudderless without his partner. This is a good match for Stone to get back on the winning track.</em></p><p> </p><p> Wade Orson & Harrison Hash [vs] <strong>The Mavericks (John Maverick & Julian Watson)</strong></p><p> <em>Orson looks like the no-brainer to win, but I like to bet against my brain, especially recently. I think POISON messes with it, Hash eats the pin, and the Mavericks get a rare win.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Natural</strong> [vs] 'Dark Watch' Aldous Blackfriar w/ Mutant</p><p> <em>Blackfriar has taken some losses, but they are of the DQ variety, and I think that happens again here as Mutant ends it prematurely. This is back to the whole "not thinking with my brain" thing again, as I tried that picking Natural last week...</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>'The Outsider' Steve DeColt</strong> w/ Ricky DeColt [vs] 'The Assassin of the Squared Circle' Ernest Youngman</p><p> <em>This is going to be a barn burner, but Youngman isn't going to topple DeColt here.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Angry Gilmore</strong> [vs] 'Mighty' Danny Cavanagh</p><p> <em>Cavanagh again gets to be the odd man out in the main event scene. He is floundering around, giving wins to the storyline names while grabbing the odd win here and there over midcard fodder.</em></p>
  22. <p><strong>'Awesome' Wade Orson</strong> [vs] 'The Man Beast' Akima Brave</p><p> <em>Orson gets some momentum into the rubber match with POISON.</em></p><p> </p><p> Robin DaLay & Logan [vs] <strong>The Ring Generals</strong></p><p> <em>Part of this is based on my later predictions. Also, DaLay and Logan shouldn't get a win over the Generals, especially with the tag division in a world of hurts (pun intended).</em></p><p> </p><p> 'All Business' Harrison Hash [vs] <strong>POISON</strong></p><p> <em>See above. A momentum win for the final match. But this should be a helluva match with Hash, assuming he hasn't declined too much.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Los Monteros</strong> [vs] Donte Dunn & Erik Strong</p><p> <em>The Monteros are destined for gold, but they have to get some popularity in Canada. Keep winning and building up to finally get that gold!</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Natural w/ Solomon Gold</strong> [vs] 'Shooter' Sean Deeley w/ The Shooters</p><p> <em>Deeley's crew is falling apart, and Deeley will be the one losing to end it. </em></p><p><em> Youngman has the chance to better Deeley and catapult into the conversation around the Television Title. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> In an unrelated note, I love Ernest Youngman.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'The Ace' Aaron Andrews [vs] <strong>'The Monster' Gargantuan</strong></p><p> <em>This will be brutal, and I expect Stone, RDJ, and others to be involved.</em></p>
  23. <p><em>Well, my predictions sucked. Moving on...</em></p><p> </p><p> NOTBPW Tag Team Title Match: </p><p> <strong>Bad Reputation (Dan DaLay & Derek Frost)</strong> [vs] Primed For Progress (Cameron Vessey & Christian Price) ©</p><p> <em>With P4P getting into the feud as a stable, and Bad Reputation being able to be a transition champ, I think they get the gold.</em></p><p> </p><p> 'All Business' Harrison Hash [vs] <strong>'Dark Watch' Aldous Blackfriar w/ Mutant</strong></p><p> <em>Mayhem is kind of floating around, but I think that changes as Bad Reputation takes the gold (and becomes target #1 for Blackfriar and Mutant).</em></p><p> </p><p> 'High Energy' Thrill Seeker [vs] <strong>'Wild Man' Jack DeColt</strong></p><p> <em>After giving POISON the pop in the tournament, Seeker gets to do the duty here, too. Seeker is in limbo...</em></p><p> </p><p> 'The Hillbilly Heartthrob' Solomon Gold w/ The Natural [vs] <strong>'The Assassin' Ernest Youngman w/ The Shooters</strong></p><p> <em>I like Youngman. I like him to ultimately take out Deeley when they inevitably split. So I'll go with him getting a win here.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Steve DeColt & Ricky DeColt</strong> [vs] Logan & Robin DaLay</p><p> <em>Ouch.</em></p><p> </p><p> Winner Receives a NOTBPW Canadian Title Match: </p><p> Angry Gilmore [vs] 'Mainstream' James Hernandez [vs] <strong>'Mighty' Danny Cavanagh</strong></p><p> <em>Going out on a bit of a limb here. The logic to Cavanagh is actually backwards, since I think Gilmore gets more buildup and Hernandez isn't ready to clash as he needs to find a suitable taker for the TV title. Gargantuan and Cavanagh are both floating around a bit, but this gives them something to do for the PPV.</em></p>
  24. 'Awesome' Wade Orson [vs] 'Shooter' Sean Deeley Deeley should make a splash here. I know he isn't top of the card, but he has a lot he can offer. Plus, POISON might be somewhat involved here since his spat with Orson isn't over yet. Thrill Seeker [vs] POISON POISON has an on-going tussle with Orson, and because of the popularity issues you mentioned before, I don't think he goes over Seeker (yet). 'The Ace' Aaron Andrews [vs] 'The Assassin of the Squared Circle' Ernest Youngman Andrews is a big name for this tournament, but rolling his tiff with Stone into this gives a good reason for him to bow out "gracefully." 'The Man Without Fear' Sonny Wildside [vs] 'The Animal' Edd Stone Wildside's been great, but it is not his time yet. He's great as a midcard guy, winning a few and dropping a few more, but putting in a great night whenever he is called on. Who will be the Runner Up in the Tournament?: _Aaron Andrews_ Who will be the eventual Winner of the Tournament?: _Sean Deeley_
  25. Part of me thinks that he is the illegitimate son, but that almost seems obvious. Then I question that but WWE has ruined me since the obvious always happens anyways. So is The Lloyd leading us on, or is he planning the WWE swerve of making us double guess but the obvious is the actual decision. Only one thing is clear: I've spent too much time thinking about this.
