Moxley replied to Adam Ryland's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020 Mods
I would like some feedback from the mod makers here on something The game calculates Experience in a following way; there's 48 weeks in the game, and assuming a wrestler works twice per week, this is what his experience would look like after certain periods of time as an active wrestler in the business; First two years: 0.3 exp every 2 matches 3 months = 3.6 ½ Year = 7.2 Year 1 = 14.4 Year 1½= 21.6 Year 2 = 28.8 Next 4 or so years; 0.2 exp every 4 matches Year 2½= 33.6 Year 3 = 38.4 Year 3½= 43.2 Year 4 = 48 Year 4½= 52.8 Year 5 = 57.6 Year 5½= 62.4 Year 6 = 67.8 After that; 0.1 exp every 4 matches Year 6½= 70.2 Year 7 = 72.6 Year 7½= 75 Year 8 = 77.4 Year 8½= 79.8 Year 9 = 82.2 Year 9½= 84.6 Year10 = 87 Year10½= 89.4 Year11 = 91.8 Year11½= 94.2 Year12 = 96.6 Year12½= 99 More than 12½ years= 100 I guess I'm asking if this looks about right? Or is it way off? Is my math 'mathing'? Gaining too much or not enough exp? One downside to this is that it doesn't take quality of opponents or length of matches into account. -
No no that's on me. I had a notepad open with all of the guys whose debut dates I had changed but closed it on accident without saving so listed the guys off memory. Sorry about the confusion And honestly with Ice Train, everywhere I look it says he debuted in 1990, but I can't find anything on him post-football and pre-WCW so you might as well just have him debut when he debuted in WCW.

I'll post it here so others can weigh in if they notice any mistakes on my part. I used a mix of Cagematch and Wikipedia as sources. Birth Date / Debut Date: Bull Pain / June 1961 / July 1984 Debut Dates: Chris Candido / March 1986 Dennis Knight / July 1989 Doug Gilbert / February 1986 Duane Gill / April 1987 Eddie Guerrero / September 1986 Edge / July 1992 El Samurai / July 1986 Erik Watts / August 1992 Gary Albright / May 1988 Gary Wolfe / January 1988 Gedo / March 1989 Ice Train / June 1990 Jado / March 1989 Jeff Jarrett / June 1985 Joey Maggs / September 1987 Jody Hamilton / November 1955 Kid Kash / October 1989 Kiyoshi Tamura / May 1989 Marc Mero / July 1991 Owen Hart / December 1983 Robin Hood / December 1979 Sean Waltman / April 1990 Steven Regal / May 1983

I went through some of the workers and fixed some debut dates for myself cause I'm a sucker for little details like that, so if either one of Fleisch or SkyCrasher wants I can either PM one of you the list or post it here

Hate to be the "excellent mod, but here's a list of things to fix/change"- guy, but in the 1992 mod there are a bunch of non-wrestlers who have been in the business for years at this point who have 0 experience, giving them a big penalty if used. This includes guys like Tony Schiavone, Jimmy Hart, Lee Marshall, Alfred Hayes, Slick, Teddy Long, Tim White etc. Conversely, Kevin Kelly is a rookie with 100 experience. I don't know if relationships are a priority of any kind, but some that could be added: - Jack & Gerald Brisco blood relatives - Ted Turner & Jim Barnett strong friendship - Vince McMahon & Ted Turner strong dislike/hatred - Jim Ross & Bill Watts strong friendship The relationship between Ole Anderson and Jim Barnett should probably also be changed at least to strong dislike considering that Ole ousted Barnett out of Georgia and Barnett retaliated with the Black Saturday. Also noticed that Stu Hart seems to be missing

I think 2002 would have a bunch of interesting booking opportunities. WWE wise you'd have the first WWE draft, return of Triple H, WrestleMania X8, Austin's walk out and Lesnar, Cena, Orton and Batista yet to debut on the main roster. Elsewhere in the US you have ROH and TNA starting up with Eddie Guerrero and a bunch of WCW and ECW castoffs as free agents in the indies. In Japan you'd have New Japan doing the Inoki-ism thing and the new Three Musketeers in Tanahashi, Nakamura and Shibata.

These are too good. Just out of curiosity, about how long on average does it take to make one of these?

One of the AI face generators out there could be useful with this. I believe there's an AI face generator on Canva for example -

[RELEASE] Real World Chronicles 2024
Moxley replied to Questlove's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020 Mods
I don't know if this has been tried before, but what if you made two brands, one for the heavyweights and the other for the junior heavyweights, and made for example the BOSJ shows brand specific to just juniors? could it work that way? or would it lead to the heavyweights getting angry at being left off shows/ other problems? edit: just tried this and New Japan immediately dropped the brand split. -
Deceased Workers Expansion Pack for Real World Mods?
Moxley replied to Moxley's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020 Mods
Small progress report: I've worked on this whenever I've been bored, and am currently roughly 4% done with 32 workers and Hall of Immortals records for 29 of them, though I might cut the worker list just a little bit since I keep coming across more and more names. Because of the character limit, the bios have been the most time consuming, but also the most interesting part so far. Learning quite a bit of interesting things about the history of pro wrestling while digging up info. If anyone knows of any good sources for info, feel free to let me know. So far I've used: wikipedia cagematch.com George Tragos/Lou Thesz Hall Of Fame Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall Of Fame wrestlerdeaths.com prowrestlingstories.com luchawiki.com prowrestling.fandom.com puroresusystem.fandom.com wwe.com -

Deceased Workers Expansion Pack for Real World Mods?
Moxley replied to Moxley's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020 Mods
For what it's worth, and this is if this gets done and released to the public, I could also include the notepad file of the list of workers and their death years with the data so that you can pick and choose who you want to include and who you don't. -
Inspired by the recent deaths of Shad Gaspard and Hana Kimura and the other expansion packs, I got this idea for an expansion pack containing only deceased workers, so you could have them in your games Hall of Fames, Hall of Immortals, Power 500's and what not. Think of it as a tribute of sorts to honor the many, many men and women we've lost over the years. I've gathered a depressingly long list of names already, but before I really begin work on this, I was wondering if this would actually be of any use to anyone, modders mainly? Ideally this would be used in current day Real World Mods as the list in its current state ranges from 1885 to 2020, but with some editing it could be used in historical mods as well. The plan would be to make the workers and fill out their personal data (such as name, bio, birth date, gender, nationality, race, debut date etc.) and leave skills, popularity and attributes blank as they obviously won't be needing those and you can't access them in-game anyway.

Should be a bunch of free worker pictures in the game already. As for logos, check the links under Graphical Mods [Titles/Logos/Other] http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=545720 -
Road to Glory 2020
Moxley replied to Bad Collin's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020 General Discussions
Figured I'd get started on this as well. Had a tough time deciding on the product, but ended up going with a Deathmatch Lucha Libre company in Mexico and see how it goes. Here's the promotion: and here's my character Buitre: EDIT: Had my first show. Safe to say it did not go over well. UC's first match had a rating of 5 as a result of the crowd absolutely hating his guts. Owner also decided to throw me a curveball and gave me an owner goal to not sign any Daredevils, limiting the available talent pool even further. -

I converted a mod from TEW2016 over to TEW2020 to play around with the editor a little bit and decided to put in some job histories, but I have a question regarding tours. For example, Ric Flair had multiple different tours of All Japan in the 70's and 80's. Would you make a separate entry for each of those tours or just have one entry that covers all of the tours, even though there are sometimes years in between them? -

Whenever I've played in the past, I've tried to only sign wrestlers who were otherwise unemployed and/or are from the area I'm based in, and only sign wrestlers working elsewhere if I had to avoid the roster size penalties. -

Killing the Business BETA Release

While true that his New Japan run is what most people know Omega for, he's also fairly famous for his comedy matches against blowup dolls and 9-year old girls, much like Ibushi. The reason I suggested adding one of those attributes to them was that they're pretty good at that stuff, and so maybe should get some sort of bonus for working a match like that in the game. But maybe I've misunderstood things and something like Plays Comedy Well would be more appropriate? Who knows. As for Shibata, he was supposed to appear in some capacity during Goto-KENTA at Wrestle Kingdom, but the doctors wouldn't clear him to appear in any way that would result in a physical interaction between him and KENTA. Meltzer also said this in his newsletter after Wrestle Kingdom in January: Seems highly unlikely that he'll ever have a pro wrestling match again which is highly unfortunate, but that said, this is a fantasy booking simulator, and maybe that decision should be left to the player. In the end, all of this is up to Gaz, how he sees things and what he wants to do.
