Tonight's show has the potential to be one of the best Dynamites ever. A bunch of great matches and on top of that, it's in the Bizarro Land of Long Island, where MJF is always the babyface.
-
All bad booking aside, it's been made official that Endeavor has bought WWE. Never thought that I would see the day, specially with Vince still around.
-
This is a great timeline to play. The mod looks amazing so far.

Four months ago: TONY KHAN PROMISES TO GO BACK TO HIS "RUTHLESS ROOTS" FOR AEW RAMPAGE
TK acts like it's not a C-Show. That just pisses me off even more.

Worst card ever is a huge over exaggeration, but it wasn't as good as usual.
Erick Redbeard looked good and Cassidy vs Ari was solid.
The Gunns also looked good and I'm intrigued by Stokely trying to sign them.
Has Prince Nana or any of the Embassy been mentioned or seen since DBD?
Well, it is the worst rated AEW show that's not a Dark or Elevation on Cagematch, so I'm not the only one thinking that.
From my point of view:
Sammy Guevara & Tay Melo © vs. Dante Martin & Skye Blue
- Weak build, 0 to no hype even though Sammy and Dante are great.
Sonny Kiss vs. Parker Boudreaux (w/Slim J)
- Dark jobber vs newcomer I don't care about.
The Gunn Club (Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn) (w/Billy Gunn) vs. Beardhausen (Danhausen & Erick Redbeard)
- Not a fan of Gunn Club and don't really get Danhausen (never got exposed to him before) and I really don't want to watch Rowan wrestling in 2022.
Orange Cassidy (w/Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta) vs. Ari Daivari (w/Parker Boudreaux & Slim J)
- Not a fan of the direction of OC and don't even know who Daivari is.
-
Last night's Rampage had the worst card ever. I was actually baffled how bad it was. Sometimes I usually let it play on the background but I refuse to do it just because of how bad this card was.
-
AEW was at its peak when they were trying to do their own thing. Nowadays TK is trying to book his own version of NXT.
-
OC kicking out of the F10 made me turn off the TV for like twenty minutes. What a stupid decision. I'm getting to a point where I just can't take OC anymore.

you're referring to Dynamite, I'm assuming?....It was a pretty spot loaded show from top to bottom! I will agree with you there. And can we PLEASE get more TONI STORM time...I'm diggin' her
Yeah, I didn't specify because imo it was one of the best overall shows this year and not counting just Dynamites.
Storm is indeed very good, the division should be built around her and Hayter. And Sasha if she was actually released yesterday.
Also Dax lowkey has become one of my favorite wrestlers. He's putting out bangers everytime he's out there.
-
That was one of the best shows ever. Pretty much perfect from top to bottom. All the right people winning for once.
-
I really don't understand the hype behind KOR. Don't know why TK thinks so highly of him. That was Andrade's match to win but I'd be cool with Yuta or one of the Team Taz guys winning.
No need for another belt but I guess I understand if it's a belt that can go to other companies constantly. The name could be something like "International Championship". All-Atlantic sounds terrible. Anyway, rooting for PAC!

I fell asleep during the Women World's match. Gonna watch the rest in a bit but man, that was a long show.
Some notes:
I'm happy for Wardlow. MJF's situation looks real and it's sad to see him being unprofessional.
Thought the Hardys were losing so I guess they're staying for a minute, huh?
I did not understand the build for the TBS match. It's like when they built that chick Marina for a week, then she lost and vanished from the Earth. (and I only remembered her because she was in the video package)
House of Black vs Death Triangle: BANGER! Give me any of these guys every week and I'm happy.
The Hart Cup was very underwhelming on both sides.
Mixed Trios could very well be on Rampage and KOR vs Darby was a Dynamite match.
Women's World got me to sleep.

They don't really have anybody she can wrestle though...
She's already beat Ruby Soho. Mercedes Martinez is hardly pushed at all having lost three of her four TV singles matches. Tay Conti doesn't wrestle now. Toni Storm has just undergone the standard come into AEW just to lose to Britt Baker treatment that never seems to work out for anybody and will probably now be a regular fixture on Dark. Statlander aside, who have they built to be a credible contender?
Perhaps Riho or Yuka? If they're sticking around of course.
Jade's problem is that AEW yet again has a babyface on their hands who they are desperately trying to push as a heel. I've no qualms with The Baddies as a thing, it looks like a good move for Red Velvet and Kiera Hogan, but Jade was so good it was only a matter of time until they were gonna cheer her. Now she's leading a heel group. Huh?
They did the exact same thing with Britt Baker. They kept her with Rebel and Jamie Hayter and had her winning matches with nonsense finishes when the fans wanted to cheer her. And now, here we are, with a roster that desperately needs babyfaces and has none worth a damn.
The women's division is just made up on the spot every single week, there's no long-term booking or long-term planning. They have a face champ who isn't going to fight Britt Baker any time soon, but they're keeping Britt Baker strong, even though she probably isn't going to fight the heel midcard champ. So what's the point? Either put the TBS title on Britt Baker or use her to elevate others into title contention. And start pushing some other ladies for gods sake. Jamie is right there, the best damn women's wrestler in the entire company, and she's going out in the first round of your tournament? Makes little sense to me, I must admit.
And now they made Statlander lose to Soho. I'm glad the crowd boo'd.
Statlander got repackaged and split from Best Friends (for the best, in my opinion) just to lose to Soho and now we have Baker vs Soho again but now for the Owen. Storm vs Statlander would be WAAAY better. I guess I have a bathroom break set for Sunday now.

On paper, it looked like a great show. In reality, it was like there was something off the whole time. I actually turned off the TV and went to bed in the middle of that Serena Deeb promo.
The show is looking more and more like NXT and I was never a NXT fan to begin with. Really not enjoying this direction lately.

The best Dynamite in a long time. MJF's segment is once again a home run. I just couldn't stop laughing. Jeff vs Darby was incredible. Storm vs Hayter also very good. Hope they pull the trigger and push Hayter to the moon asap, she is AEW's total package in the women's division.
-
Pretty fun Rampage. I like the early start time, it's way better than midnight for me.
-
That was a rough main event. Mercedes Martinez, who is someone that nobody cares about (I think it's like her 3rd match in AEW) against Deonna Purrazzo, making her AEW debut with zero hype and no buzz. And to have them follow Fénix vs Dante? The rest of the show was not that good either.
-
It's a shame that Tay is roped into him now too. I don't care if they're together, but making them together on camera is hurting Tay in my opinion.
I think it's cool because she actually has a character now. I will always be a fan because I'm also brazilian but she was so bland as a character. She was just Anna Jay's friend that would smile too much and have bad acting skills. Hope she uses this to improve her out of ring skills.

Was the scandal before, or after, his release from NJPW?? I find it crazy that NJPW would release their top star unless it was because of the scandal. Was he 'toxic' or does that attribute go away after the scandal 'ends'. I tried to sign Tessa Blanchard to AEW, planning to be managed by Tully in ROH. She had the toxic popup before I went to negotiate so she can wait.
They released him as soon as the scandal hit. Steroid dealing operation. He was indeed toxic but I didn't really care. Too good to pass.
The timeline:
Sunday, Week 1, May 2022 > Scandal hits
Sunday, Week 1, May 2022 > NJPW releases him
Tuesday, Week 1, September 2022 > I hired him in an exclusive 5-year, $1,000 per show deal (waited a bit to see if the scandal went away but then decided to pull the trigger)
Monday, Week 1, February 2023 > Okada goes on hiatus
Sunday, Week 4, September 2023 > Scandal ends
Monday, Week 1, February 2024 > Okada returns from hiatus
Here are his current attributes:
-
Got him almost for free when he was in the middle of a scandal. A 5-year exclusive deal for $1,000 per show. What a steal. He had 60 pop in the US when he came back from his hiatus in February. It is now July.

Aside from beating Nyla Rose in the main event, you mean?
Maybe it's just me because I was expecting more of Thunder Rosa since winning the title, but this mini-feud was pretty bad.
-
In my opinion there's no depth in AEW to have a women's tag belt. The division is still pretty lackluster as they're nowhere near the level of the male talent.
Toni Storm has had one match since her debut like three weeks ago. There's only two women's matches on TV every week, one on Dynamite and the other one on Rampage. There's still A LOT of work to do and to be honest I don't see that happening anywhere soon.
Hell, Thunder Rosa is pretty over and she has done absolutely nothing since winning the World title.
-
That endind was incredibly awful. Just terrible. It's Dark Order 2019 levels of bad. Marina Shafir was also pretty flat. The crowd was instantly dead. The rest of the show was pretty good though. I wish Redragon won the belts but there were a lot of good matches nonetheless.

I even had my own child company on a bidding war with me for a worker we shared. They're just weird.

They made BOTB pointless. One title change in five shows that are supposed to showcase titles is beyond ridiculous. I didn't even know it was this week until you mentioned 😆
