  1. <p>When all was said and done, the two of us started the build towards our first event Cruel Intentions.</p><p> </p><p> Storylines:</p><p> </p><p> James vs. the Boss: Couldn't help but to include a nod towards the classic WWF storyline between Steve Austin and Vince McMahon. If it would give us one tenth the heat that one had, we'll gladly take it. Kevin Northcutt is also there as a bodyguard.</p><p> </p><p> World Title Chase: Havoc, Danny Doring, Carl Ouelett and Shockwave are there as potential champions as they fight it out for supremacy. Other wrestlers could be tossed in as needed.</p><p> </p><p> Foxx versus Evans: Placed two of the best talkers against each other in a feud. It serves as a secondary purpose as well to help boost RD Evans as a wrestler.</p><p> </p><p> Valkyrie Division: All the women save Jazz are here as we attempt to highlight a more serious brand of wrestling.</p><p> </p><p> In addition, the Grand Poobah left me a series of four challenges before the first show:</p><p> </p><p> 1. No world champions of the WWF can ever hold our World title.</p><p> 2. Paul London gets a main event match in the first year.</p><p> 3. Within two years, a woman must be pushed as a main eventer.</p><p> 4. I can never wrestle as the user character.</p>

  3. The news came fast and quick...an e-mail from a person claiming to be my real father. Why would he contact me after all these years? Don’t know, but I’m heading to Chicago to find out. 24 Hours Later… Some people go to a big city and purchase a “I went to (Such and such a place) and all I got was this T-Shirt”. Me? All I got from Chicago was a lousy piece of paper. No answers, no apologies, no explanations. But there was one nice thing about the piece of paper. It more than covered the many years of my life that he never was a part of. $50 million would more than take care of never having to see him again. But what would my next step be? The answer came to me the very next morning. Fired up my e-mail and there was one from The Grand Poobah. I went to war with him over several years in the IWA (Imaginary Wrestling Association). At the end, he prevailed. But we did earn each other’s respect. In it, he expressed wanting to build a wrestling promotion from the ground up to replace WCW and ECW after they shut down earlier this year. Boy howdy, he has no idea what just happened on my end. But his, I mean our, dreams are closer than he realizes. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After about a week of back and forth e-mails, I agreed to meet him in St. Louis. He indicated that it would be easier to start a promotion there than in Kentucky, mainly due to the other promotions there. Although I was skeptical, I quickly realized he was right. Kentucky has Ohio Valley Wrestling in Louisville. Also in the region was IWA Mid-South (no relation to the other IWA) and Heartland Wrestling Association. The Midwest didn’t have a promotion so we’d be by ourselves to start. Gathering a roster, some announcers, a referee, a road agent or two would be next. We’d have to agree on the name of the promotion and some events as well. The Grand Poobah started to play air guitar while saying the initials N-W-O as an old tape of WCW was playing. What about the CWO? Hmm. That’s got potential. He sat down at the table I was at and we started to work.

Meant more so in your game, not real life. So at that point Murdoch should be good. But for example, if you sign Shawn Michaels, he cannot be your champion. Or if in your save, WWE sign Okada and make him champ he can no longer be your champ. On the flip side, if they never make Cena, Orton, etc into champions, you're free to make them champs in your promotion</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, that makes perfect sense.</p><p> </p><p> Especially since this is 2001 and that's well before he won the tag titles. I think he was getting started in Missouri.</p><p> </p><p> Alright, I'm good to go. Thanks for the rules!</p>
  5. 4 will be really easy. My user character is Brain and he's my authority figure. 3 is probably doable as well. I think I can have him take on Cassidy O'Reilly for the World Title at some point. 2 might be tougher. It's early so I could do the integrated company thing without a major penalty. I suspect it'll either be Miss Natural or Saraya that will be the main eventer as those are my best wrestlers currently. On 1, I might have screwed up already. My first champion is Trevor Murdock who won the belt in the first PPV and apparently was tag team champion thrice for WWE. Recently, I added Ron Killings who was Tag and US champs for WWE. I suspect I can get the belt to O'Reilly which will make it easier to do 3 or perhaps Sampson. Hettinga (aka Mike Knox) also never won the world title, but then again, I fear he might not make the full contract due to steroids.
  6. I had this under The Booking Committee thread, but since this one seems to be back to life, I'd thought I'd give it a whirl here: OK, started a new game with a modified Death of WCW. Started my own promotion with the hopes of eventually challenging the WWF/E. Here's the roster: Main Event: Trevor Murdock (World) F Cassidy O'Reilly H Mike Samson F Mike Hettinga H (one strike due to steroids) Upper Midcard: Jason Cross F Eric Priest H JC Ice F Kevin Northcutt H Midcard: Paul London F Roderick Strong H Matt Cross F Chase Stevens H Lower Midcarder: Andy Douglas F Enhancement Talent: Austin Aries Women's Division: Sweet Saraya F Lacey F Susan Morton F Miss Natural H (Women's) Rain H Amber O'Neal H I'd appreciate some rules that could keep me playing awhile.
  7. <p>To start, I look at the Creative Meeting and pick one of the top 4-5 wrestlers as champion to start with.</p><p> </p><p> After that, it's based on storyline and feel.</p>
  8. Makes sense, also considering Rey is Spanish for King. Great suggestion!
  9. Thanks to an injury to Penta El Zero, I decided to team up Rey Fenix and PAC. They have excellent chemistry. What's some good names for this pairing? Also, if I decide to make a stable out of this trio, what's some good names?

  12. Yeah, at the beginning of the game, you can turn off any region. Including the US.
  13. I tend to book around my titles. Other matches are done more randomly.
  14. The All-Americans Stars and Stripes For Gilbert and Hall, maybe Bad Stuff?

  16. <p>Seven months in and BCW is still alive and well. Still losing money but I guess you can't have it all.</p><p> </p><p> The push towards a showdown between World champ Tripp Cassidy who's lost only in a tag team match (he wasn't pinned) and undefeated challenger Nick Brubaker has begun. Cassidy suffered a strained neck in a Last Man Standing match against Joe Pittman, but it's only for 6 days and he isn't even mad. Whew!</p><p> </p><p> Pittman appears in line for a feud against Tripp's tag mate and running buddy Josh Crane. Perhaps the winner of this one gets a title shot in the future?</p><p> </p><p> Women's champ Arista has been on a 30 day vacation to take care of some minor morale issues. She's going to face Mistress Belmont for a title match at Turkey Bowl...I suspect that I may be picking up some more women wrestlers soon to bolster the division.</p><p> </p><p> Signed Alex Castle and KJ Crush as both have been hyped as ones to watch. Crush debuted at Spooktacular as Keith Walker's tag partner and they clicked! Now just to find some good tag chemistry among my faces.</p><p> </p><p> Other champs are Pauly Thomaselli (Kentucky Title) and Sons of Michigan (Tag Team). Currently looking for challengers to both.</p>
  17. It's nice to hear that you changed regional battles for the better. I like that you added some strategy to the mix and should make it easier for those who like to start with smaller companies to survive until they're ready to grow.
  18. <p>I would go with 2016, but with a caveat...and a possible plan of action.</p><p> </p><p> The caveat would be to start shortly after the 2015 One Night Only Gut Check in September. But hear me out:</p><p> </p><p> If you go ahead and sign everyone who was in that PPV, you would have Martin Stone, Dalton Castle, Shaun Ricker (who would eventually become Eli Drake), Tony Kozina, Ross/Marshall Von Erich, Crimson, Tanga Loa, and Pepper Parks (with Laura Dennis aka Allie). Think you could do something with that?</p><p> </p><p> Maybe take a page from The Nexus and have them attack the roster? Use them to firm up the midcard and tag ranks? Turn some of them into your next big things? The options are plenty.</p>

  21. <p>I had ideas of turning this into a diary entry at one point, but made several mistakes and decided to just use this as a test run to learn the game.</p><p> </p><p> I've created Bluegrass Championship Wrestling, a local fed based in Kentucky with the backing of $500,000 in cash. Lost $30k in two months and only lost 12.8K in month 3. Hopefully, I'll have some left over before we finally hit small.</p><p> </p><p> Growth has been slow but steady as I've been working with a bunch of people barely known outside of the region. They're gaining popularity as BCW is.</p><p> </p><p> Current World Champ is Tripp Cassidy which was considered top draw in the first sitdown with the creative team. Building my way towards a match between him and villain Nick Brubaker who has a vampire gimmick that is totally not inspired by Gangrel.</p><p> </p><p> His opponent in Class Act? Joe Pittman who has been rolling with the midcard Kentucky title all the way to main event status. Of course he's going to give up the belt prior to the World match, so I'm doing a three way for the belt.</p><p> </p><p> The tag team champs are The Sons of Michigan (Ben Boone and N8 Mattson). I've been marking time (and hoping to find another team with chemistry) until I can build up the Thomaselli Brothers (Vito and Sal) into legitimate threats by beating If Looks Can Kill (Greg Glover and Brian Nelson), a team who has been avoiding them.</p><p> </p><p> I decided to take a popularity hit and have a women's division. First champ gets hurt during the title match that she wins against a wrestler hired for a tryout match. But she's now at 100 percent and the other two wrestlers have good chemistry against each other.</p>
