  1. Is there a way either in game or via exporting the database that I can see the text description for angles after a show has run? I can see the title but want to be able to see the full text that I have put in for those segments to catch up on where I was with a game I haven't played for a while.
  2. Hi. Finally getting round to downloading and playing the Thunderverse, always enjoyed this universe. I just wanted to check though, I've downloaded all the graphics files and there's no images for events or TV. Is this right? If not is there anywhere that I can get the images for these?
  3. Right, I have searched for this everywhere and been unable to find an answer. Hopefully someone can help, even if it is not the answer I want to hear. During a show I create an angle and have the commentary show all of the information that I want to see. Once you have finished the show, is there anyway to see that text again? Or is it not able to be seen afterwards? Because if you look at the show history, it only shows the segment rating and nothing else. If there is no way of viewing this in game, is there anyway to export it from the game?
  4. I'm sure I read him say that the plane crash isn't included but I would like there to be an alternative in to help shake up the game world from time to time.
  5. That's the thing, NXT is no longer a developmental brand. It might not be at the levels of Raw or Smackdown but is no longer the developmental place that it used to be.
  6. That's another program I hav to add to my TEW session 😂 I was using Excel for my planning but it's not really set up for that So my new set up will be: Excel - roster overview and I like to have each person's average match and angle ratings which Excel good for One note - writing my shows up - for personal use (I enjoy writing my shows out in depth as gets me immersed in my game) or for a diary if I ever get round to doing one Trello - storyline planning I'm starting to think I need to slim this down 😂
  7. I've always had the MAW champion take on the COTT champ at the RCI and used the tournament to set up my year feud for the champion. The first year of 2016 was always the exception because Remus was injured at the RCI so couldn't compete but him v gauge was always the way to go at the start.
  8. I seem to be the only person that likes the UI. I need to get used to where things are but I prefer it to 2016. I've only just set up a game so not got into all of the detail of the game just yet. But from the short time I have played, I like what I see so far. Am looking forward to getting started with MAW (my go to fed in the CVerse) and also to finally get to doing a ZEN game. Am also really looking forward to seeing how the Canadian and Japanese scenes in particular have changed.
  9. Favourite 5 wrestlers in no particular order 1. Minoru Suzuki 2. Kurt Angle 3. Samoa Joe 4. Steve Austin 5. CM Punk
  10. I'll post 3 of my favourite wrestling memories: 1. Favourite wrestling moment as a child - Dr Austin attacking Vince in the hospital. Great moment 2. Favourite wrestling moment as an adult - Goldberg beating Lesnar in about 10 seconds. WWE trains fans that main events will be 20+ minutes and that was over so quickly, suited the two guys involved, and just such a wow moment. Loved it 3. Favourite TEW wrestling moment - The break up of the sky Kings in the art of staying classy diary on the forums here. I apologise that I can't remember who it was by. But that diary was amazing and is the reason I play CVerse and not RW games any more.
  11. <p>I think the route they seem to be going down with the gimmicks is pretty good if it works the way it was described. I think more user involvement in creating gimmicks for your wrestlers is a good thing and would be quite similar to freestyle angles as previously stated. I like the idea of a preset list to provide some quick and easy options to apply to people.</p><p> </p><p> I think my favourite bit is people getting tagged with certain things such as boring and it having an impact on their ability to gain pop. Would be great if there were other tags that effected their skills development or restricts some while improving others (eg velveteen dream type gimmick that focuses more on entertainment than in-ring etc.) </p><p> </p><p> The comparison to freestyle angles does raise my one concern that it would be too easy to just select things that completely suit somebody in the same way angle ratings can be manipulated, though part of that is down to how we use to choose it.</p><p> </p><p> Overall though I do think it would be a big improvement over the current gimmick system that seems a bit pointless</p>
  12. <p>I love the real world chronicles and they have been my favourite real world mods to use.</p><p> </p><p> My laptop recently crashed and lost all my TEW stuff so is there anywhere that I can find past versions of your mod or is it only the most recent version listed on the first post?</p>
  13. <p>I actually like the more recent Impact stuff and think they are putting together a decent little roster, but think they are already on the way back whereas they were really poor 2014 or 2016 so would be more fun to rebuild from those points.</p><p> </p><p> Out of curiosity, what mod do you use for 2014? This has got me wanting to start an Impact game in that year but couldn't find a mod for that year unless I convert from 2013.</p>
  14. <p>I ran a touring schedule when booking World of sport and had a TV deal in place and felt it replicated this kind of thing fairly well. I wanted to replicate shows like WOS or lucha underground that have a season that builds towards a final episode, then a break. So I started by running seasons of 12 episodes (3 month tours with a weekly tv show) and then a month break.</p><p> </p><p> Alongside this I was playing a MAW save and I have a developmental league running on the pre-show where six wrestlers fight over the course of 12 months to earn a contract on the main roster. So I used this approach in the WOS game as well with the off-season months being for new wrestlers to earn a spot on the roster for the new series.</p><p> </p><p> I love playing touring companies because it allows me to think about things in much shorter blocks, stopping from becoming overwhelmed like when you have to continuously book 5 hours of tv, 12 months a year with companies like WWE.</p>

I am looking at creating my own Fed using Chase and Lois Paige. I want to mix the in-ring style of RoH and New Japan with some Storyline development for fans to follow... not to the extent of WWE. Matches will still be exciting and last longer, but TV shows will have storylines for fans to follow.<p> </p><p> What kind of Popularity would Chaise Paige and his money bring to a new Fed at the very beginning?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That's the kind of fed I would like to create but never sure of product settings. If you don't mind sharing what product do you plan on using for this?</p>
  16. Thanks. Another question I have is with the use of stables. Do people look to have everyone on the roster affiliated to a stable or do you have a couple of people that are to one side and can team in multi-man matches with any of the stables? And the second part is how do you deal with people leaving a stable? So for example with the stables that showtime posted he suggested that Ugaki will have to beat his mentor. Now one approach would be to have a respectful passing of the torch in which Ugaki beats Mushashibo and they just swap roles within the stable as Mushashibo settles into the veteran role. But what if Ugaki turns on his mentor leaving to one of them leaving the stable? Would you look to immediately get them into another stable or would they be on their own for a while? I know it's all subjective but I'm trying to get an understanding of how japanese feds book so that I can follow this to some extent.
  17. <p>I've always found the Japanese promotions difficult to get into because of the difference in booking style between them and the more western style feds (especially SE feds). But I've looked through some dynasties (primarily NJPW) to really get a feel for the kind of booking styles in these promotions and want to start a game with PGHW. I want to check my understanding of some of the titles that they have though. So am i right in thinking:</p><p> </p><p> PGHW Elite series = G1 or BOLA style tournament depending on whether you want round robin or straight knock out but should be one of the stronger guys winning?</p><p> PGHW Elite Tag Team series = same as above but with tag teams. Do people book this with actual tag teams or a combination of teams and two wrestlers paired up similar to the Dusty Rhodes classic?</p><p> PGHW Glory Crown = top singles title</p><p> PGHW Glory Tag Crown = top tag title</p><p> PGHW Historical Japan = I don't know what kind of title this is? Is it just a lower card thing or is there a specific theme to it?</p><p> PGHW International = Is this the only title that foreigners can fight for? Or do you treat it similarly to the IC title in New Japan?</p><p> </p><p> I know that I can book the titles however I choose to but I just wanted an idea of how people that have booked PGHW have used these titles as I like to stay close to canon when booking C-Verse companies</p>
  18. Or should I get DeMarcus out of that team asap?

Ive pushed Gargantuan and Prometheus who start off TERRIBLE in this game and definitely arent meant for a perf company. </p><p> </p><p> Check to see if that cruiserweight is performing before you decide theyre not worth pushing. If your feeder has a purpose you dont need to use him as one.</p><p> </p><p> When youre as small as MAW is, its more about being frugal with your money than booking for grades. The grades will come easily enough over time once youve got the money figured out.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> The reason I asked about tag teams was that I'm playing my first game as MAW and the DeMarcus & Gray team start in the feud against Dynamite Express. I play with fog of war so I might be wrong but from what I can see DeMarcus looks like someone worth doing something with while Grey doesn't look anything more than a feeder so I should be making DeMarcus look good and win while Gray takes any losses?</p>

You can't effectively develop all of them as all of them are not going to be your main-eventers. I tend to divide my roster into 4 almost equal categories:-</p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> How do you handle tag teams with this split? If I have a team and I think one is a prospect and the other a feeder. Do you look to split the team and pair up with people from same group, book the team with the prospect being the star or book them as a feeder team?</p>
  21. And a question about dojos. How many wrestlers on average do you get get for each of the new worker frequency settings: very low, low, medium, high, very high and extremely high?
  22. <p>How much impact is there when a product makes a skill less effective? So for example MAWs product says the aerial and hardcore skills are less effective. How much impact should that have on who I decide to push?</p><p> </p><p> Does it only impact those that are close to each other? So should only be taken into consideration if I have two wrestlers with the same in ring skills but one is a brawler and the other is a cruiserweight?</p><p> </p><p> Or is it a bigger penalty than that? So I should push a brawler that has lower in ring skills over a cruiserweight?</p>

  24. Does anyone have a link/copy of some MAW dynasties? I'd like to read to get a feel for how they book but there's only one currently in the forum
  25. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Jon The GOAT" data-cite="Jon The GOAT" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41521" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I honestly feel like the best way to learn is to watch an independent company's 12-month span and see how they deal with their storylines. Progress & EVOLVE seem good for this although they at-times run a bit more events than one a month (EVOLVE was running 2 a month but I think they broke that for the first time this month and did 4 a month). Perhaps find some pre-TV ROH? <p> </p><p> A thing you can do to help you imagine the build-up to a match is pretend the company is making use of YouTube/other social media for promos/hype videos/mini-docs/tweets. </p><p> </p><p> The other bit is that I'd change my mind with regards to it being "just a collection of individual events". I think it's easier to come up with storylines when you're thinking it more of an individual level and their individual arc: A guy's rise to the main event, a monster's win streak, a man's need to find a mean streak after his reign ended, a team coming together and having to figure it out, ex-tag wrestler trying to make it as a singles wrestler, etc. So while on the surface it starts to feel like "a collection of individual events", the wrestlers themselves have storylines and they're moving forward and the great part comes when those storylines clash. I had things like Scythe's monster streak vs. Gargantuan/Bodyguard's monster streak, and thereafter Scythe's monster streak vs. the MAW Originals collective who were in the midst of taking over MAW.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah I was thinking of using Progress as my inspiration. I like the use of youtube in between events so was maybe going to run some angles in a similar manner that would be included as part of the pre-show which would give context to what happens on the main show.</p><p> </p><p> The second bit is some really helpful advice for me as I definitely think when booking a company like this I need to change my mindset to the individuals involved and their journey rather than my usual mentality.</p><p> </p><p> Thanks for the advice</p>
