  1. Doesn’t his body shape change? There is also an attribute that makes them stay in shape. It’s definitely a subject I’ve thought happened too quick in the past TEWs, but what you need to remember is this is a workers peak. Setting someone to peak at 55 means they are going to be improving until 55 which is ridiculous for someone like ric flair who is going to be already high in stats. Physically workers start to slow down A before you notice and B before they lose popularity. For example, stone cold for example peaked 97/98/99. But people tend to think because he was still well over that he peaked sometime after 00’ His popularity and other attributes carried him through the rest. If you look at the undertaker, his physical attributes and selling are way off what they were in the 00’s - 10’s I think it works really well as it is. The good wrestlers with good skills will continue to put on good matches in decline because of their other skills.
  2. If I’m honest I’ve barely used comedy as a match aim. I see it as some kind of middle of the card ‘break’ thinking of the attitude era there was lots of comedy involved, but always a secondary aim to any match it was used in.
  3. Just a bit of feedback. This has been my favourite mod in terms of accuracy for the last few tews. I’m wanting to do a long term save and possibly even a dynasty but a couple of things putting me off. - Personalities: The WWF locker room is so easy to manage. I even signed dynamite kid, iron sheik and it’s never dropped below 100. Looking at it, there are quite a few ‘gloomy’ personalities and for example the warrior is a free spirit (which has a mildly positive effect I believe) Have these been completed? Or will they be done soon if not? - money: in a few months I have made millions in the WWF. Not created any extra shows, and actually added 10/20 workers to the roster. I’ve not looked into that era v the mod to know if I am making too much or workers contracts are too low. (I even dropped a size and still made a millions for those months) - steroid scandal: I’m sure in the old version of this mod the WWF took a hit from this and certainly made it more challenging. The problems the WWF faced in the early mid 90’s started with money issues and then WCW offering higher contract. Are the narratives still in place to stop WWF having major finances? Loyalty: Vader for example loyal to WCW. He wrestled for Japanese companies and the WWF later on, is this something that’s needed?
  4. Ive always thought Alter Egos should save each new gimmick. Eg undertaker - deadman would be saved with whatever rating it had when you change, so if you changed to bad ass you would get a new alter ego. then you could change back to deadman gimmick or even change to it with a tweak to get the'phenom' which would create a new alter ego.
  5. I'm pretty sure momentum goes back towards and eventually hits neutral when off tv for a while. Think about 'x-pac heat' he could have won all the matches in the world but the fans still didn't take to him. take them off screen, reset momentum, re package them. Alternatively if you don't want to play realistically turn it all off and share you 100 rated matches/shows
  6. It’s a tainted loss or cheap win thought isn’t it which doesn’t have the same effect as a normal loss? Removing the pop loss means every match could be done that way and nobody ever lose pop
  7. I’m sure nobody wants to see that along with racism or whatever is in games. Adam doesn’t have real names in his game so it’s a player editing and I’m sure it would not hold up in the court of law I’m all for realism and sexual scandals does seem to be a topic over the years. I saw one suggestion of sexual predator or rape. You don’t need to be that graphic. I’m sure nobody wants to see their name linked with death from a car crash or any death, or family members of the already deceased. If you want to have a realistic game you’ve got to make it realistic as you can Some people don’t like seeing Chris Benoit in mods or dynasty’s but I don’t get what the issue is. Someone mentioned football manager a while ago. They use real names it’s completely different
  8. I get what you we trying to say and agree you have a fairness point. I just disagree and think it could be worked in better. These days you have skewed numbers. In terms of the modern day people will go look at a lot more stuff on you tube and watch clips on Facebook. In earlier years if you had Rhonda turn up you would need to watch the show to see it. Numbers to the show may not have increased but people viewing footage etc will have. But in earlier years they would have.
  9. A fair point. however... In my opinion the bit that incorporates celebrities does not allow them to be featured in any angles/matches. There have been many celebrities involved that’s would ‘boost’ and angle. I meant the whole wrestlemania arguable took off because off celebrities and you have the build up etc and then actually in matches. Rhonda, Tyson fury, Mike Tyson, mr T, floyd Mayweather, David arquette and the most goes on if celebrities who have appeared in matches. Anyone who has a decent pop outside the wrestling world before debuting is really a celebrity. Trump etc. In my opinion it’s has always been the best way to gain new viewers outside the wrestling world (that’s why they do it) and the current way doesn’t really reflect that.
  10. Every new game I put forward the idea we should have a ‘wrestling’ pop and a ‘mainstream’ pop. People are going to tune in to watch these celebrities that aren’t wrestling fans.
  11. Couple of things i may have mentioned before but cant remember False Turns - Basically where someone has turned face as part of a heel plot. we need something that allows us to be able to book them as face (because they are in the fans eyes) without penalty. Currently the fans think the turn is too quick etc. Ask worker to get out of contract - Be able to offer workers a contract and ask them to try to break out. eg if the other company allows it. Legends contract - Opportunity to sign workers for merch purposes. but with the opportunity to book them a couple of times a year. It would be good for them to be auto filtered out of the 'current roster' Attributes Increase future chances of (addicted to pain killers, soft drugs etc, but all individually Meticulous planner Although similar to scripting this is someone who will get less of a scripting penalty and less of a psychology penalty because they plan their matches in detail. Some of the things each attribute can cause should be a standalone attribute, plus some could also be used together. - Increased reliability (maybe someone is a party animal, but has never no showed in their career) - Unreliable - Quiet / Driven or Selfish etc. - Loner/ Driven or selfish Driven / Could also go along with most attributes. Mercenary / Some although money motivated could have a positive attribute go with it. Eg a mercenary grifter, Little interest in learning for people who have higher entertainment skills and can get over but arent that interested in being a 'wrestling wrestler' and the basics improve at a much lower rate. Stat Size usage: (almost similar to how athleticism is meant to work for physical attributes) I know there is power and menace, but some wrestlers get over almost from size alone. Longer matches should take into account people high in this stat will not use their stamina as fast because they know how to use size to their advantage, this should also go in hand with being dominant. You think of say Yokozuna and The Big Show, some smaller workers may have more menace and power, but if you put these in the ring at any popularity/skill level you would still realistically think they have a good chance of winning.
  12. Has anyone run watcher games on their mod? Have you noticed how fast and high basic skills go? Just wondering how people are combating that ?
  13. therefore potential sets the cap. Which is why you have from very low/excellent. Because if it didn’t there would be no point in having different potential. Your just calling it destiny I’m calling it cap. Back to the original point. Don’t you think it’s strange than someone with very low potential is hitting that high value in such a short space of time?
  14. Well no, without being rude I’m right lol. Potential sets the cap (destiny roll)
  15. I asked Adam about it a long time ago and he said potential sets the cap. I don’t think that’s changed in 20 I could be wrong
  16. It still seems strange though. Your going to have a every poor worker with very low potential hitting 90+ basics. If that’s the the case then for mod making purposes we need to know because everyone who’s passed time decline needs to have the same
  17. I mentioned this before, but it was felt it was normal. But after running a year watcher game I’ve noticed a ridiculous increase for a worker. It’s quite hard to fathom when trying to make a balanced game. How to stop nearly every worker tonhit decline end up with 90 basics/safety/consistency. 32-33 year old decline age: 33 Potential: fundamental = very low Worked 35 matches, highest 100 Picked up an injury in June for1 year (assume its a work through one) Basic jan = 48, dec = 75 Has: Not a natural attribute 36-37 years old Decline age: 36 Potential: fundamental = low Basics jan = 67, dec = 84 Safety jan = 61, dec = 78 40 matches, highest 97 Has: not a natural attribute Aerial - seems to increase a lot too. Seems there are no penalties for the size of the worker Big heavyweight 31-32 years old Decline: 39 Potential: fundamental = very good Primary = average Basic jan 77 - dec 92 Flashiness jan 17 - dec 30 41 matches, highest 99 26-27 years old Decline: 36 Potential: fundamentals = very good Basic jan = 62 - dec = 86 Safety Jan = 56 - dec = 80 Consistency jan =65 - dec = 78 75 matches, highest rating 67 Also should a worker be able to progress to 100 in anything if they are set to lower than excellent potential?
  18. There's going to be a lot of competition to finish 1st in the power 500 lol
  19. ... - Broadcasters: These are one thing i'm not quite sure of. Do I try and have realistic broadcasters deals for each company, Do I try and limit the slots so only the best get at slot and the poorer companies may go out of business. Or do I create a enough broadcasters so each company can at least get a deal at some level.
  20. Are there any websites or any good lists to find out road agents who worked where and over what period of time? Really need the help for a mod that covers a few periods of history
  21. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="St. Templar" data-cite="St. Templar" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47002" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Well...since we have an attribute that says "Future Color Commentator" and one that says "Future Road Agent" (those are the two I'm positive about off the top of my head), I figure making it an Attribute that someone would, at some point in their career, decide to become an Occasional Wrestler, you could have an attribute for it, just like you do for those other two. I'm aware of the "backstage stories" about how King and Taz became color guys.<p> </p><p> My question was more along the lines of I've never seen someone just naturally in-game move from "Wrestler" to "Occasional Wrestler". I've seen Wrestlers retire (and become Managers, Personalities, Road Agents, etc.), and I've seen Occasional Wrestlers retire (and do the same), but I've never seen an older Wrestler who could still go decide to just become an Occasional Wrestler.</p><p> </p><p> St.T</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Going back to my suggestion i think a 'semi retirement' would work. Some never actually fully retire. but more importantly someone who 'semi retires' would then become a color, personality, manager etc.</p>
  22. Sounds like a great idea especially in terms of what passing the torch means. The only issue I would see is face/heel.
