My promotion is very popular in Canada, and the company I am looking to buy is popular in a few key regions in Japan, which I'd like to break into.

When taking over the company, I know if I Pillage or Disband, I will absorb the company I am buying's popularity. What if I keep them open as a developmental? Will I also absorb their popularity at that point? How about if I close the development company later?

You don’t absorb if you buy as developmental. Not sure about when you close, I didn’t think you did but might be wrong.

 2.
I find that all PPV’s are profitable. I make profit in months I don’t run one and even more in the ones that I do. I know that I could run one every month and make money without fail.

Doesn’t seem to be a ‘you ran a PPV this long ago, so it affects the buy rate of the next PPV’ especially in historic years.

Granted I am playing a mod which are generally always made overpowered, but I’m struggling to see what I could alter in the mod the make it ‘more realistic’ in terms of finance and challenge. Other than workers attributes

 3. Are the real life ones without announcers better? I’d argue not. Similar to any match without announcers. If you look at penalties for announcers as ‘could have got a better rating’ with announcers or a better announcing team then it makes sense
 4. If that’s the case then that’s one for the tech support. you could upload a pic of your offer, their offer and exact words the worker says to see if anyone can spot anything.
 5. When you say you matched everything. Contract type: Contract length: Usage: Whilst offering more perks and 10x more money?
 6. Loyalty is loyalty in the game and can’t be overridden. I suppose the game isn’t advanced to the stage the worker can turn round and try and negotiate a deal where he can work on both and his only choice is to reject. Basically he’s not saying he won’t sign for you, he says he’s not willing to sign an exclusive contract and in real life he would trying to work out a deal for him to work non exclusive.
 7. When they used to tape. I was of the understanding they would basically have X house shows a week. Not X shows in the same building in one night. So each building would have one show per night (maybe the odd day they had two shows in one night, but at different locations with different workers) and workers would only work once a night (or once in the same location per night) They would then record the shows or parts of the shown they want for the taping and put them together for the TV tape. Eg hulk hogan maybe would go round wrestling say macho man for months in different locations, but only parts of it would be taped, while warrior maybe working with mr perfect on different shows and sometimes on the same show and that would have parts taped, the footage of the different shows would be put together to make a Taping and future tapings. Being able to pick say the best ‘hulk v savage’ match out of the shows to put out to tv. I suppose they used to call some of the shows ‘tapings for x’ because they were going to be taped, but not all of it was taped like for example Raw in 2000 where the whole show was taped (apart from the dark matches) and televised
 8. I thought the addition of tv taping would be great for realism. But maybe I’m not understanding properly how they worked in real life, because playing as WWF in 91 for example I can’t see any benefit to doing it that way. I have 1 taping per week for my main show, but have 4 tapings at a time for my B show just so I can auto advance better. (I’m not playing it as I would properly I’m auto booking a lot) I’m wondering if a lot is to do with the Mod, bit I can’t see any reason: - I would just have a 1 hour show (to think they had only a one hour A show up until 96 is doesn’t make sense in the game) - To not have regular PPVs (when you think they only had 4 a year, in the game I’m playing they are only missing out on extra cash) Again maybe the mod needs fine tuning as it was really made for TEW16, but in 1991 as WWF you are losing out by not having the same schedule as current day WWE.
 9. Yes and I think preciously this has been mentioned (in previous TEWs) People start to worry when they see penalties and think they’re doing something wrong, rather than a match with an announcer penalty being better than a match without one
 10. How do you structure your shows? Match wise I’ve always gone for: (H = higher than last rating, L = lower than last rating) HLHLHLH HLHLHLHH LHLHLHLH LHLHLHLHH I try to do it by building the ratings up too, so the first H & L are stronger than the next few. obviously not all matches turn out as expected, sometimes the the last two matches before main even I have my second strongest 3rd from the end, and my semi main event I alway try to have strong workers but throw a few things in to keep the rating down a bit.
 11. Not sure exactly how the penalties work for announcing but I get them a lot and they don’t seem to effect the rating too much. I suppose it’s like you have Michael Cole announcing a 50 rated match. No penalty. But you have him announce the main event at wrestle mania and the difference between him or Jim Ross in his prime makes a difference. When I re watch the attitude era stuff, it makes me realise how much of a difference they do make.

I made an offer that shut out SWF's offer, with him saying he'd seriously consider signing with me and the negotiations screen saying my offer was the only one he was considering. I advanced to the next day and he had immediately signed with SWF after they changed their offer.

How am I supposed to beat an offer if I'm never even given a chance to look at it? Is there a way to trigger instant signings for my own company?

Realistically people don’t always come back and say I’ve got x offer from someone else. On TEW we generally find ourselves ‘just’ beating the other offer so we get the worker for as little as possible.

Sometimes you may need to just make an offer you’re happy to pay.

What was the personality of the worker in question?

I'm actually surprised this was added but I like the idea a lot. Previously, there wasn't a penalty for releasing workers or it was the same as if you let their contract expire. Now, the game is forcing players to really think about their roster management.

Looking at it in a vacuum (i.e. not knowing anything), I'd guess that mercenary personalities would be open to returning....as long as the money is right. Money Motivated trait could possibly add to that. Perhaps Driven and Professional as well. On the flip side, I could see Stalwarts holding it against a promotion for firing them. Or maybe I'm totally off and part of Stalwart's 'getting on with things' means they come back quickly.

Possibly negative v positive personalities

Highly strung

 14. Creative dynamo etc: can theses be changed specifically for ‘new catchphrases and hit new moves’ so they are separate? A lot of workers are creative outside the ring but not so much inside and vice versa.
 15. I use open matches for lower workers I want to push up the card. Especially if I would usually want them to get the win the know their opponent is valuable and would become unhappy taking a loss. I use keep strong, open match, tainted win.

It was useful for doing mass scale searches in the past since the in game search/filters are deeper than the database. I suppose it might just be easier to open an access copy now.

I tried that (access) but a lot is in different places.

I have 2 hard drives so might try that

 17. Is it possible to have two game windows open? I’m sure there was a workaround somewhere. It’s only the database I’d like open on both
 18.

Was just shocked to see one of my top stars give his notice because he was so upset about a couple of losses, which is gonna really screw up my booking plans. Is there any way to keep him from going? I've already given him some bonuses that have improved his morale but as of now he's still leaving

I don’t think so.

But they don’t just leave for nothing, unhappiness grows in stages usually (unless something really gets to them) but usually whenever people have leftnor handed in notice they are at the highest level of unhappiness for at least a few days on my saves.

 19. It’s hard to try and book wwf pre Raw due to ‘left off show’ complaints. It’s still hard to book only an hour of raw a week.
 20. Going to have a look into this. Although i dont like spending much time doing things outside the games (listing my roster on a S/sheet is too much time taken away)
 21. Every time you change gimmick you can’t go back to the old one (it classes it as a new gimmick and the random rating applies) which means in theory, you are either A: just using a different alter ego but still the same character. B: swapping gimmick each time. I’d like to see you be able to go back to an alter ego and have the same gimmick
 22. Writing out shows Not all the time or I wouldn’t play it. But I have lots of storylines and ideas. I don’t get a lot of spare time so don’t be write these down. I know in my head roughly where I am, but i get to a point where I start to write a show and have to remember where each storyline is, what needs to happen with who and how far away I am from a major PPV or a turn etc. Id just love a system where we could wrote storylines out and select each part for each show before hand. Eg rock v Austin. If I could write each raw segment for the next month and just drop that part in when it came to that show. I know you can do this to a certain extent, but the way you can do it, is a chore itself lol
 23. Very few hit 100 Hogan Rock The rest gained their pop outside wrestling (eg Mike Tyson etc) You could argue stone cold but if pop is meant to take into account outside wrestling pop too, I wouldn’t say he ever hit 100.
