  1. Sorely Missed - Wrestler has been unavailable to wrestle for an extended period of time and has been missed by the fans, their first match in each company will receive a boost (lasts 14-28 days)
  2. Love to see The Batman Who Laughs in this, that whole arc in the comics is real good imo
  3. I'm finding it really weird that of all the things people are suggesting change-wise, people want the removal of something that's been in the game for over a decade now. I understand it sucks when someone you want to become the next Hulk Hogan doesnt get there, but like, it was the same in 2016 and 2013 etc. Why make a deal of it now when things havent seemed to have changed at all?
  4. MAW Old School Rules 2021 Fri, Wk 4, May 2021 Attendance: 1,447 Viewers: 48,103 Opening Match Six-man Tag Team Match 15-Minute Time Limit &vs& • Keith Vegas and War Piece were perennial losers joining well-established teams in MAW in the for of The Rock City Stars and The Wolf Pack respectively. • Vegas and The Stars started off strong, working well as a unit with the support of the crowd behind them. • Things took a turn when The Wolf Pack used some of their trademark underhanded tactics to isolate Keith Vegas and work him down in their corner. • Vegas managed to hit a big slingblade (Who knew he could pull off one of those?) on War Piece, and each man made the tag. • The Stars ran wild on their opponents and when the ring was cleared Rockin’ Ryan Turner nailed Sione Tokoeka with the Six String Shooter. • In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Keith Vegas and The Rock City Stars defeated War Piece and The Wolf Pack in 14:01 when Rockin' Ryan Turner pinned Sione Tokoeka with a Six String Shooter. Rating: 40 Tag Team Match 15-Minute Time Limit &vs& • The Heartbreak Express were reuniting for the first time in MAW since Ralph Liotta left in late 2020 to take on the fast rising Two Man Riot, who represented the Baltimore Protection Agency. • Needham and Liotta looked as if they had never been apart and following on from his excellent performance against Sandman Winks many admired the new edge to Liotta’s work. • Two Man Riot more than held their own, with their excellent chemistry and slick teamwork turning things in their favour throughout the match. • Things came to a head when Copperhead was left isolated in the ring, which left him vulnerable and on the receiving end of The Score to end things. • In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, The Heartbreak Express defeated Two Man Riot in 9:40 when Johnny Needham pinned Copperhead with The Score. Rating: 34 Singles Match 15-Minute Time Limit vs[Picture Not Available] • Following a tough loss to Dreadnought, Cheetah Boy looked to bounce back in this match against CILL’s Border Patrol II. • Many had high hopes for BP II, however he had never lived up to the skill of his uncle and Cheetah Boy looked very in control throughout the contest. • BP II looked to be fighting back into the match but found himself on the receiving end of the Flying Cheetah Pounce which brought things to a close. • In a bout that had terrible wrestling and non-existent crowd heat, Cheetah Boy defeated Border Patrol II in 5:39 by pinfall with a Flying Cheetah Pounce. Rating: 28 Singles Match 15-Minute Time Limit vs • In a battle of the legacies Acid II, protégé of Acid took on Mr. Lucha IV, youngest son of Manuel Prieto, the first to wear the Mr. Lucha mask. • In his first professional bout all could see that Mr. Lucha IV had solid fundamentals, and that unteachable ‘it’ factor that big promotions look for in young talent. • But, his inexperience and lack of solid in-ring skills saw Acid II comfortably outwrestle him and put him away quickly with the Acid Rain Bomb. • In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Acid II defeated Mr. Lucha IV in 2:01 by pinfall with an Acid Rain Bomb. Rating: 30 Tag Team Match 15-Minute Time Limit &vs [Picture Not Available] • The FCW Tag Team Champions took a trip to Baltimore to challenge DeMarcus & Gray in an exhibition match that could put either team in good stead to earn a COTT World Tag Team title match. • Rudy Velasquez and Hector Galindo dominated the early portions of the match with their aggressive style proving more than a match for the slick teamwork of Nate DeMarcus and Tyrone Gray. • When things did turn around for the hometown team the result of the match never truly looked in doubt and they nailed Velasquez with the Rocket Launcher just after the 10-minute mark. • In a decent match, DeMarcus & Gray defeated The Latino Kings in 10:29 when Tyrone Gray pinned Rudy Velasquez with a Rocket Launcher. Rating: 48 Main Event Mid Atlantic Championship Match 30-Minute Six-way Scramble vsvsvsvsvs • When this match began Bradley Blaze charged at Sterling Whitlock, Miller Fforde went straight for Josh Jacobs and Dreadnought and Nobuyo Hikichi battled to the outside of the ring. • Dreadnought was noticeably slower from early on in the match as Hikichi botched a move and injured the big man’s arm which severely limited the power moves he could pull off throughout the match. • Blaze managed to knock Whitlock out of the ring, only to get rolled up by Josh Jacobs, however when Jacobs celebrated his point Blaze hit the Dallas Drop and pinned him to gain a point for himself as well. • Realising that Dreadnought’s size meant he was a threat to any one member of the match, Miller Fforde worked with Nobuyo Hikichi to bury the big man under several unused ringside barricades which left him incapacitated for much of the remainder of the match. • Sterling Whitlock kept himself to the outside of the ring, only entering to break up pin attempts, except for those of Bradley Blaze who challenged Whitlock to enter the ring with him, but “The Rogue Assassin” kept his post on the outside. • As things drew to a close, Miller Fforde got the upper hand on Blaze and looked to be about to send things to a three-way draw, but Whitlock ran in and nailed Fforde with Whitlock’s end. • Rather than going for the cover however, he backed off and allowed Blaze to pin Fforde, and while he was hesitant, Blaze made the cover and when the final bell ring Bradley Blaze found himself with the most points, and the Mid Atlantic Championship. • In a decent match, Bradley Blaze defeated Miller Fforde, Nobuyo Hikichi, Josh Jacobs, Dreadnought and Sterling Whitlock in a Scramble match in 30:00 after scoring the most falls. Bradley Blaze wins the Mid Atlantic Championship title. • Dreadnought was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance. • Dreadnought suffered a sprained wrist after a botch from Nobuyo Hikichi. 5. I've tried to run a couple of non-canon throwaway shows for the sake of building up experience. They're pretty much entirely 3v3 and 4v4 match cards, but they cost twice as much to run as they bring in so while I've run two of them in 2021 idk if they're worth it in the grand scheme of things

What's your roster looking like from a numbers break down? Have you noticed a big change in your monthly income?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> From a numbers perspective the dev deal breaking down hurt. We lost 13 workers which was just over one third of the total roster.</p><p> </p><p> Financially things have been good, we made a big loss in April but that was because (spoilers) I instantly reopened the Boot Camp for $100,000, and we only made an $85,000 loss. For may we made only a couple of thousand dollars less than March and a few thousand more than February so the money hasn't really been a problem. The increased sponsor money and better revenue split from WrestleWorld at small has offset the increased worker costs but they worker costs are now monthly what we would spend on a Rip Chord Invitational or Sam Keith Classic.</p><p> </p><p> As of the first week of June I have 31 contracted workers, although the likes of The Stars, Keith Vegas and Nobuyo Hikichi aren't on ongoing deals for one reason or another, and we have 3 Major Stars, which is actually more than with the TCW deal, when there was 2 and Seth Whitehead was one of them.</p><p> </p><p> There are some guys at the top of the card, especially the likes of Devil May Care who are working multiple companies that I don't expect to have come the end of 2021 but replacements will come, as is the Mid Atlantic way</p>
  7. I was just in the process of voicing how little I was looking forward to PJ taking the title off Hangman (I knew that's where things were headed as soon as he won the belt) but now I feel like my distaste for Hogan-esque heroes cursed PJ
  8. TopRopeElbow.com: MAW Old School Rules 2021 Card Mid Atlantic Wrestling revealed the card for their upcoming Old School Rules show, which will see the professional debut of Mr. Lucha IV the apparent youngest star of lucha libra legend Manule Prieto. And of course the massive main event which will see three MAW veterans in the ring with three relative newcomers to crown a new Mid Atlantic Champion in a 30-minute scramble match!
  9. Workers with white hot momentum typically are perceived as Major Stars though? Like, back at the tail end of 2018 Becky Lynch was taken as a major star despite not being particularly over beforehand (she was over but not the the extent of Asuka or Charlotte or Rhonda) because her momentum and great gimmick were through the roof. In my opinion white hot momentum like that really should have a massive impact on perception, but perhaps making it a little harder to keep hold of would be a nice middle ground
  10. As a big Stardom fan I just decided to binge this and it was really fun, great work and I'm sad to see it go now but health has to come first, maybe you can come back to them at some point

  12. WWE have officially bought Evolve, not sure whether itll run as a child company or just be swallowed up and shut down
  13. She main evented Wrestle Peter Pan Day 2, so I personally believe she should have about as much popularity as Naito, mayyybe a few points more just to be safe :3
  14. TopRopeElbow.com: MAW Revenge is Sweet Card The first Mid Atlantic Wrestling show in June is set to be the perhaps pointedly names MAW Revenge Is Sweet and is centred around both the final three qualifying matches for the Mid Atlantic Championship Scramble, and the reveal of the man who singled out Bradley Blaze as a target last month. On top of that Marvin Lambert will be making his MAW debut teaming up with War Piece. Marvin is said to have really impressed Sam Keith in his first and only match so far, a losing effort against veteran Masked Cougar which was said to have been a match good enough to main event any independent wrestling show.
  15. A/N: Hey all so I haven't really been around much the last few days. The reason for that is simple, I'm back in work and the physical demands of my job mean that when I have time I have no energy, so things will be slowing down considerably I feel, although I knew this day was coming. This means I'll be changing how I do prediction prizes going forward, with all prizes now being quarterly (every 3 months in-game) rather than monthly with the half-year prize. It means any narrative stuff will unfortunately have to be cherry picked which sucks because I really enjoyed giving time and attention to people I would usually never think to highlight. This means there will be no monthly prize for May, so apologies to Kjarvs who was the rightful winner of that but alas, now that that stuff is out of the way, onwards and upwards I say, the next event card will go up later tonight and hopefully we can start July off right!
  16. TopRopeElbow.com: COTT Champions Report At the behest of our loyal readers we here at TopRopeElbow.com will be releasing semi-regular updates from across the Confederation of The Territories, and this month we will be focusing on the top champion in each of the alliance’s nine companies. First is All Canada Pro Wrestling who have put the ACPW Junior Heavyweight championship on Jayson Van Pelt who is currently 65 days into his second reign as champion having won the title from Gram Gorman in what was a typically excellent bout for the pair. CZCW’s Coastal Zone Championship now sits around the waist of American Flash and has done for 31 days. The Coastal Zone mainstay beat Al Coleman for the title at Uprising and has even made one successful defence so far in his reign. Current CILL World Champion is El Jaguar, who has had an iron grip on the title for the better part of a year, with his reign sitting at 304 days since it began in June 2020. Having won the belt from Monkey Man, El Jaguar has gone on to be one of the most consistent workers in the Confederation and also makes up one third of the current COTT Trios Champions alongside Bullseye and Waylon Walls. The current FCW Puerto Rican is Bradley Peverell who has held the belt for nearly a year himself, with “Hands of Stone” besting Handsome Stranger in a one-on-one rematch after claiming the title in a multi-man affair. Peverell has had a series of excellent matches recently, particularly against Big Cat Brandon who is seeing a career resurgence in the Confederation after being let go by SWF. Frantic Ali is the most recent man to win a title on this list, having won the IPW Championship two days ago, besting Lug Phelan in a ladder match to claim the title. This leaves Ali as a double champion, as he also holds the COTT World Heavyweight Championship and has done so for 163 days. Current NYCW Empire champion Tennessee Williams is currently in his third reign, having won the title from Brutus Milano who won the title from Williams, who won the title from Milano, who coincidentally won the title from Williams. In fact you have to go all the back to Roger Cage whose last title reign ended in January 2018 to find a man other than the two mentioned here who has held the belt. Does this suggest NYCW are low on bonafide main event talent, or are those two just that good? The Campeonato de Universal OLLIE, which is usually in the iron grip of either Nico Lopez or Marcos Flores, currently finds itself in the hands of former EILL man Hysteria, who is also CILL World Tag Team champion. Hysteria has held the belt for over 200 days, making six defences along the way and this consistency has been much needed in the wake of the rapid decline in ability and popularity of “The Eternal Kings”. Last, but only by means of alphabetical order, the QAW World championship is held by current 4-time champion Danielle Sweetheart who is also the longest serving champion on this list, clocking in at 318 days. While some may QAW should focus on young, fresh talent Sweetheart’s effect on the belt’s prestige can be seen clearly and few would bet against her failing to make the year at this point.
  17. Michael Elgin has now been released from Impact, and appears to be blacklisted from the company as they are pulling all footage of him and merchandise apparently
  18. Actually the report is that she basically refused to do anything for Impact while she was in Mexico and they had to reshoots and redo commentary for entire shows because she refused to send them promo stuff or interviews. So shes both a bully and difficult to work with it seems
  19. In the patch schedule thread Adam said a patch wouldn't come out if he felt there wasn't enough pressing issues to be addressed. It means we'll likely be getting a bigger patch on Sunday, possibly even with a few new products or attributes to boot.
  20. MAW Americana 2021 Fri, Wk 4, Apr 2021 Attendance: 1,000 Viewers: 45,713 Opening Match Mid Atlantic Tag Team Championship Match Tag Team Match 30-Minute Time Limit &vs& • Both teams looked totally focused going into this match, the usual pageantry of a title match was forgotten as all four men entered the ring with looks of fierce determination. • Acid II had a cage match with Xavi Ferrara in PSW only a week before this match, and Noggin and Tokoeka knew it, they targeted the young man’s ribs and worked him over in their corner. • Simon Ice looked desperate for the tag, and when he finally got it he flew over the top rope and became an unstoppable kinetic force in the ring, throwing his body behind every attack at The Wolf Pack. • Acid II even managed to get back into the match and Devil May Care hit a series of mesmerising double team moves including a backstabber-shooting star press combination that would have ended things had Sean Noggin not been there to break up the pin. • The Wolf Pack took back control when a poorly timed cannonball senton off the ring apron sent Simon Ice crashing into the ring steps, which left Acid II alone with both Noggin and Tokoeka. • The pair put Acid II away with the assisted Brainbuster Suplex they debuted two weeks ago which they have dubbed Howling At The Moon. • In a decent match, The Wolf Pack defeated Devil May Care in 12:11 when Sean Noggin pinned Acid II with a Howling At The Moon. The Wolf Pack make defence number two of the Mid Atlantic Tag Team titles. Rating: 46 Mid Atlantic Championship Scramble Qualifier Singles Match 15-Minute Time Limit w/vs • The first qualifying match to determine who would enter the six-man scramble for the Mid Atlantic Championship featured Miller Fforde going up against a member of the B.P.A in the form of Deuce Deadline. • These two have shared the ring many times over the course of their eight years together in MAW and it showed as both men countered the other’s moves in the early stages of the match. • Deadline used his size advantage to bully Fforde until he came back with a flurry of offence leading to the springboard moonsault followed by the Fforde Flip Face Crusher. • In a decent match, Miller Fforde defeated Deuce Deadline in 10:14 by pinfall with a Fforde Flip Face Crusher. Rating: 51 Mid Atlantic Championship Scramble Qualifier Singles Match 15-Minute Time Limit vs • In the second scramble qualifier, Nobuyo Hikichi, who has had a difficult time adjusting to Mid Atlantic Wrestling took on the man who worked more matches in 2020 than anybody else in MAW. • The raw power of DeMarcus was enough for him to dominate the early goings of the match, until the vicious and nasty Hikichi raked his eyes and then set about a vicious assault on the right arm of Nate DeMarcus. • Hikichi threw DeMarcus shoulder first into the ring post twice, then hit a big armbreaker before locking in the Cross Armlock which forced DeMarcus to tap. • In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but terrible wrestling, Nobuyo Hikichi defeated Nate DeMarcus in 7:32 by submission with a Cross Armlock. • DeMarcus and Hikichi don’t click as opponents. Rating: 32 John Hopkins University Championship Match Singles Match 30-Minute Time Limit vs • The first man to accept Sandman Winks’ open challenge for the JHU Championship was Keith Vegas, who left MAW nearly five years ago to pursue other options on the independent scene. • Vegas did receive some decent support from the fans in attendance who had seen his work from 2009-2016. • Unfortunately it was clear that Vegas had not improved a great deal in his time away from the company and Winks managed to put him away in just a shade over six minutes with the Deep Sleep. • In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but terrible wrestling, Sandman Winks defeated Keith Vegas in 6:14 by submission with a Deep Sleep. Sandman Winks makes defence number four of the John Hopkins University Championship title. Rating: 31 Mid Atlantic Championship Scramble Qualifier Singles Match 15-Minute Time Limit vs • The Historian high fived Sandman Winks as they crossed paths on the entrance ramp and Historian looked confident as ever going up against Bradley Blaze. • Blaze ran down the ramp during his entrance and pounced on The Historian before the bell rang and rained punches down on the top of his head. • The Historian battled back to some extent, but the unrelenting assault from Blaze overwhelmed his defences and he found himself on the receiving end of the Dallas Drop. • Eagled eyed viewers could make out words Blaze said before he dropped The Historian to end the match: “The is for you Seth.” • In a decent match, Bradley Blaze defeated The Historian in 9:42 by pinfall with a Dallas Drop. Rating: 46 Singles Match 15-Minute Time Limit vs • War Piece and Cheetah Boy locked up at the start of this match for what became a back and forth technical affair. • War Piece worked the leg of Cheetah Boy in an attempt to ground the veteran flier. • Cheetah Boy battled back and put his young adversary away with the Flying Cheetah Pounce. • In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Cheetah Boy defeated War Piece in 8:03 by pinfall with a Flying Cheetah Pounce. Rating: 33 Singles Match 15-Minute Time Limit vs • Standing toe-to-toe it was clear that Texas Pete was the bigger man in this contest, but from the opening bell Dreadnought showed himself to be the superior athlete. • Dreadnought threw Pete around the ring like a rag doll, Pete barely made a move before Dreadnought was back on top of him. • Pete was put out of his misery with the Dread Bomb before the two minute mark. • In an extremely short match, Dreadnought defeated Texas Pete in 1:57 by pinfall with a Dread Bomb. Rating: 29 Main Event COTT Junior Heavyweight Championship Match Singles Match 60-Minute Time Limit w/vs • COTT Junior Heavyweight champion came to the ring ready for a war with Josh Jacobs, and when they stood across from each other the two were clearly cut from the same cloth. Two no nonsense fighters who saw eye-to-eye on nothing other than the best way to put away the competition. • The opening stages of the match were slow, with each competitor engaging in a long feeling out process which highlighted the technical prowess of Josh Jacobs and the superior experience of Ray Snow. • Jacobs came out on top of the early exchanges and started to wear Snow down, pausing after every move to listen to Lisa Bowen cheer him on at ringside. • Jacobs cockiness got the best of him however as Snow managed to battle back with precision striking, punctuated by a rock hard headbutt right to the bridge of Jacobs nose, that busted it open and began a torrent of blood flowing down the chin of the challenger. • Things amped up from there as each man hit progressively more impactful moves, until Lisa Bowen hopped up on the ring apron to distract Ray Snow, which allowed Jacobs to hit him in the back of the head with the running knee strike he has dubbed the J-Trigger then landed the Baltimore Backdrop • In a decent match, Josh Jacobs defeated Ray Snow in 21:43 by pinfall with a Baltimore Backdrop after Lisa Bowen interfered. Josh Jacobs wins the COTT Junior Heavyweight title. Rating: 51 Show Rating: 50

Al Coleman (CZCW), Handsome Stranger (FCW), Aldous Blackfriar (IPW), Freedom Eagle (NYCW) Nicolas Lopez (OLLIE) Who will be the special ringside enforcer? Chris Caulfield, right?

  23. I'm finding it really strange that Ali is being presented as this dominant force when as far as the record book shows he's got a worse than 50/50 record in singles matches in CWI from what I remember (Since I assume the first match with Conner wouldn't go in the record books). I feel kind of the same with the Zip Squad, Dog Soldiers already beat all the monsters CWI (bar the Hangman) had to offer and now a guy who couldn't get it done, a guy who has lost most of his matches since joining CWI and a team we haven't seen in nearly a year (?) are supposed to threaten them? Not that these are necessarily bad things, but I'm feeling that inevitable disconnect you get in wrestling between attempting to present it as a real sport and trying to keep a story running.
