  1. I've noticed that women in tew2020 are retiring anywhere from 37 onwards whereas most men are wrestling well into their 40s before retiring from the ring. One particular example is I was running a RWC game and Kaori Yoneyama (Death Yama-San in Stardom) retired at 39 despite seemingly not being in decline at all, she seemed to be gaining skill points for the whole year and wasnt even dropping in athleticism or consistency which seem to be the first to drop off. Also Maria Kanellis retired at 38 in what seems like very moderate decline. I understand that for one reason or another women in real life have tended to retire earlier, but if you look at the likes of Asuka who is pushing 40 and showing no signs of retiring from the ring soon and a few other real life examples it seems very strange that it is the way it is. (Before you ask, neither of them had any body part with less than 70s condition) Just wondering if others have notice this trend or if its just observer bias on my part
  2. I'd like to know what Ace Youngblood's feelings are having lost to not only a complete rookie, but one who is pretty much just a tag guy

Blaze has held every title there is to hold in MAW, and having lost to Alphaville leader, Seth Whitehead, Blaze has been determined to get back to winning ways. As the only man in the tournament to have won a Rip Chord Invitational in the past, Blaze has to be the odds on favourite to bag his second trophy.</p><p> </p><p> Number 2</p><p> <img alt="SJXC8qP.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SJXC8qP.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> The name Bradley Blaze cannot come without Cheetah Boy as the two have been embroiled in a rivalry that seems to have cooled recently but could spark up again at any time. The former SWF and USPW man has never won the Invitational but has pedigree as a former Mid Atlantic Champion. At 38-years-old time is against the veteran, but he seems willing to do anything to win at this stage of his career so cannot be counted out.</p><p> </p><p> Number 3</p><p> <img alt="EhDllvy.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/EhDllvy.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Duke Freeman makes up the first TCW developmental talent to enter the RCI this year. The Alphaville member had a middling year in 2020 before joining the group but remains undefeated since coming under the leadership of Seth Whitehead. While many may see him as the least promising member of the group, his versatility and tenacity may well see him going far in the tournament, even if he doesn’t necessarily win the whole thing.</p><p> </p><p> Number 4</p><p> <img alt="RaR7Te4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RaR7Te4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> His Alphaville teammate Guillotine will be joining the competition this year, coming in off the back of an undefeated year in 2020 and as the man who many see as responsible for Bradley Blaze losing to Seth Whitehead at Night of The Champions last year. The muscular Mexican will be looking to push on from a strong 2020 to potentially come away with the biggest win of his career.</p><p> </p><p> Number 5</p><p> <img alt="un5wyqT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/un5wyqT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Fewer stars in MAW had a bigger rookie year than “The Nine-Tailed Fox”. The massive man remains unpinned and unsubmitted going into 2021 and with scalps like Paris Burnett, Quentin Queen and Josh Jacobs on his resumé he may well storm through the competition. It is unclear what his motivations are in MAW but given him seemingly laying down the gauntlet to challenge Sandman Winks for the newly renamed John Hopkins University Championship, expect to see Ho Tinh in the main event scene sooner rather than later.</p><p> </p><p> Number 6</p><p> <img alt="nY8vgU8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/nY8vgU8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> The final TCW contracted wrestler in the bracket is Jaylon Martins the former JHU champion had a rough year last year but managed to convince Sam Keith to give him one more chance by inserting him into this year’s RCI. Martins has a lot to prove and not a lot of time to prove it, as while he has a wealth of untapped potential, a series of less than stellar performances have seen him fall down the rankings in MAW.</p><p> </p><p> Number 7</p><p> <img alt="S6XMtek.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/S6XMtek.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Josh Jacobs has seen something of a career resurgence following a late-2020 change in character from the dull Friday Night Delight shtick to the universally well-received “Protector of Baltimore”. Jacobs’ delusion seems to know no bounds as he has been posting pictures on his social media of his face photoshopped onto the bodies of previous RCI winners holding the trophy. Following the departures of The Architect and Frankie-Boy Fernandes the time could be right for JJ to ascend to the top of the mountain.</p><p> </p><p> Number 8</p><p> <img alt="A2rKr7a.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/A2rKr7a.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Last but not least on this list is Miller Fforde, the last man trained by Rip Chord before he rode off into the sunset of retirement and sasparillas. Fforde had a quietly very strong 2020, going unbeaten except for a loss in a multi-man match in December, in which he was not pinned or submitted. Could this mean a big title match is in his near future regardless of how he does in this year’s tournament? There’s only one way to find out.</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p>

The only man to ever hold the COTT World Heavyweight Championship on more than one occasion will be looking to add a second MAW championship to his trophy cabinet after he and occasional part, occasional rival Marcos Flores won the Sam Keith Classic in 2013. 2020 was a tough year on the ageing body of Lopez, and after losing the Campeonato de Universal OLLIE in September, perhaps this will be a last hurrah for the lucha libra legend.</p><p> </p><p> Number 4</p><p> <img alt="igseVaG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/igseVaG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> “The Hell’s Kitchen Hoss” Devastating Don will be looking to chew through the competition in what could be a breakout tournament for the big man. Weighing in at 460lbs, the big man with a bigger appetite may be looking to raise his stock in the COTT after being seen by many as nothing more than a low-level giant in today’s hyper-athletic world of wrestling. The charismatic luchador has all the tools to be a major player in EILL and will look to prove that with a strong tournament showing. Having held the Campeonato de Mexico OLLIE three times, including a three-month reign in 2020, the young man knows what it takes to have success as a singles wrestler and could be a dark horse for success in the tournament.</p><p> </p><p> Number 7</p><p> <img alt="fiRDrc8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/fiRDrc8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> “The Ace of The Coastal Zone” Frankie Perez is the final man entering the tournament from the Confederation and many will see him as a big favourite, regardless of who is announced as an entrant from MAW. The former WLW Modern Japan champion and winner of the 2019 Sam Keith Classic has pedigree above many others in the tournament, and at 36-years-old is finally hitting his peak as a wrestler. Having lost the Coastal Zone Championship in August, after a 14-month reign, this could be the next big step in a great career for the California Native.</p><p> </p><p> Number 8</p><p> <img alt="hsHwEGd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hsHwEGd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Entering as a part of the new Wildcard slot established during last year’s Sam Keith Classic is the massive Dreadnought. 10. TopRopeElbow.com Quarterly Report: Q4 2020 This quarter has been fairly quiet for the big-spending USPW, with the exception of one notable signing. James Justice, Andre Jones, Mick Muscles and Danny Jillefski left the company, likely to free up money for the massive signing of El Leon from EILL. The man who many expected to carry the company off the back of Champagne Lover leaving the business will be a huge loss for the Mexican giants. Past EILL signing Hijo del Águila Americana managed to win the USPW National title this quarter as well. SWF made two high profile signings this quarter as former TCW World champion Jay Chord, and former COTT World Heavyweight champion Ant-Man joined the company. We also saw 45-year-old Jack Marlowe, known to many as Jungle Lord leave the company. SWF then moved up the company rankings to Large size, leapfrogging USPW who notably fell to Medium size last quarter. Wrestler of the year, Remo won the SWF World Heavyweight title and The Awesomeness won the SWF World Tag Team titles. In an attempt to stem the bleeding of talent departures during 2020 TCW signed both Frankie-Boy Fernandes and TCW dojo graduate Aldous Blackfriar. The company said goodbye to Joel Bryant, Chance Fortune and Eddie Peak, making it clear that a youth movement could be on the way in the company. It hasn’t been all good for the US number 3 as their Total Wrestling weekly show was moved to a lesser timeslot on ACE. In on-screen news, Wolf Hawkins won his second King of Kings tournament, Freddy Huggins won the TCW Television title, Jay Chord won the TCW World Heavyweight title two weeks before moving to SWF, vacated it upon leaving the company and Killer Shark won the title, Bart Biggins and T-Bone Bright won the TCW World Tag Team titles. Title changes are the only news to report from EILL this quarter as Ultra Spark Jr. won the Campeonato de México EILL title and South American Thunder (Cerebro and Capitao Brasil Jr,) won the Campeonatos de Parejas EILL titles. Johnny Bloodstone was released as a cost-cutting measure, a sign of the times for CWA who find themselves over 3-million dollars in debt moving into 2021. Additional cost-cutting measures have been deployed as the company have moved to pre-taping shows in blocks in order to reduce production costs. In championship news, the odd pairing pf Jack DeColt and Erik Strong won the Tag Team Grand Prix, George Wolfe won the CWA Television title, Jared Johnson won the CWA World title, and The Dynamite Express (Cameron Jones and Syd Collier) won back the CWA Tag Team Titles. The signing spree has slowed down for BHOTWG but seems far from over as Kadonomaro Kamisaka, Motoichi Arakida, BISON Yano and 6 dojo graduates have joined the company’s ranks. Elemental II left the company, and, Sensational Dragon won the BHOTWG Junior Heavyweight Championship, Two departures from PGHW this quarter as Yugoro Adachi left following contract expiry and following an unknown incident Mighty Cavanagh walked out on the company right before a show. Their only signing has been Yauyuik Terakado who is joining from 5SSW and EX2010. In title news, Seiji Jimbo and Kozue Kawashima won the PGHW Elite Tag Team Series, The Ring Generals (Dean Waldorf and Marv Statler) won the PGHW Glory Tag Crown titles and Gonnohyoe Kada won the PGHW Historical Japanese title,. No signings for 21CW as Phoebe Plumridge, Stevie Smith and Rolling Johnny Stones left the company while The Chaos Connection (Wade Orson and Sebastian Koller) won the 21st Century Tag Team titles and Apollo Prince won the 21st Century United Kingdom title. Australian giants RAW have seen a few departures as Blake Belushi and Joe Zucco left the company. The two spots on the roster were filled with the signing of Monday Next and Crazy Train. All three company titles changed hands in this time as, Montgomery Croft won the RAW Quest title, Modern Warriors (Captain Wrestling II and Kerry Wayne) won the RAW Tag Team titles and Rahmel Goode won the RAW Television title. Title changes are the only news from the COTT as Alphaville (Duke Freeman, Guillotine and Paris Burnett) won the COTT Trios titles, Frantic Ali won the COTT World Heavyweight title and Evil Intent (Slayyer and Hellspawn 666) won the COTT World Tag Team titles. This means that the third set of tag champions in a row are from Mexico’s OLLIE which is said to be the major reason the decision to make three TCW workers the first Trios champions didn’t ruffle feathers with the Mexican promotion. In retirement news Brett Fraiser, Power Girl, Raven Nightfall and Harumi Okazawaya have all retired from in-ring competition. This caps off what can be seen as a sad year in women’s wrestling as many of the former AAA veterans have chosen to retire having been left jobless on the independent scene. On top of this, Al The Hillbilly, Rogue Matsuo SF and Mammoth have all left the business completely to enjoy retirement. The list of injuries expected to last a year or more reads: Leaf LeBaum, Hyosuke Kokan, T-Rex, Joey Morgan, and Debbie Rose. This brings us then to the end of year awards, voted for by you, the fans. Wrestler of the Year was Remo. Tag Team of the Year was Double Top (Remo and Valiant). Young Wrestler of the Year was David Stone. Veteran Wrestler of the Year was The Crippler. 12. Wasted “Right boys, you’ve really impressed me with your work over in Puerto Rico, you’ve got a lot of promise but tonight your job is to make my guys look good, you got that?” Sam Keith was as stern as ever when informing incoming talent of their responsibilities, especially those who had gained minor success in the Confederation, lest they get ideas above their station. “It’s Puerto Rico, no Puerto Rico.” Taylor Norton replied in his near-offensively casual way. Sam Keith raised an eyebrow at the correction. “What was that, kid?” He ensured to put an emphasis on that last word. Taylor was not only above his station, but above his age bracket too. “Well, with all due respect, the fact you’re saying it wrong, and probably have said it wrong forever is just a little annoying is all.” Taylor replied. Sam’s face turned a tinge red and through gritted teeth he said, “That’s annoying is it?” Bret Kyle interjected before he and his partner found themselves without a job for the night, “I’m sorry sir, Taylor is just concerned with respect for the Hispanic peoples of central America. But don’t worry sir, we know what we have to do tonight.” Sam left the two there without another word and stomped off to go check on the any number of things he had to do before the show began. Bret turned to Taylor; anger etched across his pretty face. “What the Hell was that man? Are you looking to get us fired? This isn’t consequence free work here. If we mess this up, it could follow us for our whole careers.” Taylor chortled at his partner’s concern. “Don’t worry about it man, I’m just having a good time, just shooting the sh*t with the boss. It’s called building a rapport Bret, you know that.” “Didn’t look like much of a rapport to me,” Bret muttered under his breath. “Speaking of a good time,” Taylor continued, “How about you help me get a number off that pretty little interviewer they have here.” “DeAnna? I’m pretty sure she’s dating one of the guys here dude.” “Yeah, yeah she can keep dating him. But there’s nothing stopping her from grabbing a drink with me, you get me man?” “I don’t even know if she’s old enough to drink” Bret sighed. “Then she can have a drink with me at the hotel room, I’m sure you can find a way to entertain yourself while we’re… drinking.” Bret shook his head and walked away from his partner, a brief “Whatever, dude” was all he could muster in the fact of Taylor’s plan.

These results will be used to determine tournament entry for MAW roster members as well as allow the fans to know how their favourites are performing under the MAW banner year-on-year. Results are ordered Win-Loss-Draw, a green record is positive, a red record is negative and an orange record is neutral. This will allow fans to take results in at a glance, while allowing for a more in-depth reflection on a worker's year.

But the daredevil used his agility to dodge the attack, causing Sandman Winks to strike to post and hurt himself in the process.</p><p> • Meanwhile in the ring The Historian was refusing to break a hold at the referee’s count of five and shouted “disqualify me then” at the official, but his anger provided enough of a distraction for Simon Ice to hit him with a low blow which went either unnoticed or ignored by the referee.</p><p> • Realising that there was no easy way out of the match, The Past Masters settled into their usual controlling groove of wearing down one member of the opposing team and cutting the ring in half.</p><p> • DMC used their speed to avoid being caught in the ring for too long at a time, making tags as frequently as possible but both men were being worn down much more than their brief flurries of offence effected their opponents.</p><p> • This led to Simon Ice getting caught in the ring after The Historian pulled Acid II off the apron and threw him into the ring steps. Ice fought valiantly but ended up trapped in the Deep Sleep sleeperhold and passed out.</p><p> • In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, The Past Masters defeated Devil May Care in 16:19 when Sandman Winks submitted Simon Ice with a Deep Sleep after blatantly cheating. The two skipped the usual collar and elbow tie-up which would begin a traditional Mid Atlantic Championship match and instead went hell for leather right when the opening bell rang.</p><p> • Things slowed down once Seth Whitehead took control, he focused his assault on the shoulder of Bradley Blaze, attempting to capitalise on the broken collarbone Alphaville caused during their attack at the end of Where It All Begins Again.</p><p> • Whitehead spent much of the early stages jostling for position to lock in the Minnesota Stretch, but Blaze had it well scouted and countered each time, although he struggled to build momentum as Whitehead continued to punish him.</p><p> • Blaze did manage to break out of an abdominal stretch and build a head of steam with a series of running clotheslines to the challenger, he went for an early Dallas Drop but Whitehead escaped by aiming a series of elbow strikes at the right collarbone of the champion.</p><p> • The match progressed similarly for a while, with each man seeing periods of control and wearing down the other, however the well-known poor stamina of the champion was beginning to take hold as he was visibly struggling to catch his breath.</p><p> • This culminated in Blaze attempting to life Whitehead for the Dallas Drop and fell back, bumping into the referee and knocking him out of the ring. Blaze fought valiantly, but the size of Burnett was too much for him. However, much to the disappointed of John Graham Chambers, Blaze hit a low blow on Burnett, sending him rolling out of the ring.</p><p> • Exhausted, beaten and with little left in the tank, the champion turned around to finally face the man he was supposed to be wrestling the entire time and with the speed of a falling blade Guillotine caught the champion with the Sideswipe Knee.</p><p> • He slid out of the ring and helped the referee to his feet and back inside just in time for the referee to see Blaze passed out in the Minnesota Stretch.</p><p> • In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Seth Whitehead defeated Bradley Blaze in 22:25 by submission with a Minnesota Stretch after interference from Guillotine. 20. 'Tis level 4, just a few things I picked up after starting a save game with them! I do agree with the point about American Dream but there doesn't seem to have been any official attendance numbers released and apparently the company were looking to hold next year's anniversary show somewhere bigger than Korakuen, so I think maybe a small boost for Anniversary and a downgrade for American Dream might be what I go for in my own save.
  21. Also I want to commend Questlove on doing some amazing work getting things working and stuff the mod looks great and I am looking forward to in a few weeks time when things are tweaked a bit and the tiny broadcasters are put back in. A couple of very minor things about Stardom: American Dream in the Big Apple is set to be a historic event which makes it by far the most important event on the Stardom calendar which feels a bit off. It was a big step for Stardom for sure but I don't remember seeing any plans for one to occur at any point this year. One other small thing is that Generic merchandising feels a bit low for Stardom considering how much of the company's business model revolves around having merchandise of many of the roster on sale at all times. Edit: Something else very minor, Utami vacated the Future of Stardom title back in February and it's been vacant since
  22. This debate comes up a bunch about who are or aren't the top guys in New Japan, but Takahashi is one of the biggest merch movers in the company so from a business perspective I think he's definitely a Major Star, plus he's by far the most over Junior Heavyweight
