    • The show opened with a match between two teams that the Baltimore audience are well acquainted with.

    • Ralph Liotta started off in the ring with The Historian and the two rough brawlers laid right into each other with punches.

    • Little separated these two teams, although the new edge to The Past Masters work was notably lacking in Heartbreak Express, and while their slick double team moves got the crowd on their feet, they lacked the explosiveness to put either of their opponents down for three.

    • Sandman Winks failed to lock in the Deep Sleep several times throughout the match, his opponents had the former JHU champion’s deadly submission well-scouted.

    • Unfortunately in trying to avoid getting caught in Deep Sleep, Johnny Needham took is eye off the ball and found himself on the receiving end of the Flashback from Historian and was eliminated from the tournament.

    • In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Past Masters defeated The Heartbreak Express in 9:35 when The Historian pinned Johnny Needham with a Flashback.

    • The first non-MAW team to wrestle in the Sam Keith Classic this year was none other than the duo of Eric Leroy and Tony DeWonderful of CZCW as they took on The Rock City Stars.

    • Leroy started in the ring with Rockin’ Ryan Turner and it was clear from the off that the Coastal Resort graduate lacked the fundamentals to make a strong showing of himself against a seasoned veteran like Turner.

    • It was also clear however that Leroy had charisma in spades and while he failed to keep up on the mat with his opponents, he did manage to elicit some audible boos from the Baltimore faithful.

    • Leroy was in the ring for the bulk of the match’s overly long run-time, and when he was forced to tag in his partner, DeWonderful fell quickly to The Cover Version.

    • In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, The Rock City Stars defeated The Creatures in 9:34 when Rockin' Ryan Turner pinned Tony DeWonderful with The Cover Version.

    • This match saw Snoop and Smalls wrestling one of their first ever professional matches against the sure-fire OLLIE Hall of Famers Evil Intent.

    • Evil Intent were typically vicious as they worked down their green opponents.

    • Allen Smalls got a good reaction from the crowd when he made his way into the ring, and his clean-cut all-American image made it very easy to cheer for him.

    • Unfortunately, despite his impressive frame and physique, Smalls was felled after just under eight minutes by a Pit of Hell, eliminating him and his partner from the tournament.

    • In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Evil Intent defeated Allen Smalls and Bowden Snoop in 7:37 when Slayyer pinned Allen Smalls with The Pit Of Hell.

    • Bowden Snoop was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance.

    • Smalls and Snoop have zero chemistry as partners.

Lisa Bowen came down to the interview area, tailed by Josh Jacobs, Jonah Pilgrim and Deuce Deadline. She grabbed the microphone from the hands of DeAnna Desire and shooed her from the area before she began to speak.

“Three weeks ago, Deuce Deadline pinned Tyrone Gray in the middle of that ring and then I get a call from Sam Keith saying only two of my boys are making it into this year’s tag team tournament? I’m not one for calling a conspiracy, but the blatant favouritism shown to these outsiders is exactly why this company needs the BPA. And to whoever wins this sham of a tournament? Watch your back”

    • Two Man Riot looked well-prepared to take on their veteran opponents, and Lisa Bowen at ringside put very little effort in jeering the now 40-year-old Canadians as they made their way to the ring.

    • Two Man Riot started the match off strong, isolating Stevie Grayson and grinding him down with strikes and submission holds.

    • However, after a few minutes, Grayson went down clutching his shoulder and the referee made an allowance to bring Greg Black into the match so Grayson could be examined by the ringside medic.

    • Black came out of the gate looking strong, although without the momentum he would have had if his partner had tagged him in,

    • Black took control of things as Grayson managed to make his way back on to the apron.

    • Once he was tagged in Grayson hit the Shades of Grayson on Trix Triumph to qualify for the quarter-finals.

    • In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Greg Black and Stevie Grayson defeated Two Man Riot in 10:27 when Stevie Grayson pinned Trix Triumph with a Shades Of Grayson.

    • Stevie Grayson suffered a Separated Shoulder.

    • The stars in the making, Gordon Shearer and Mr. Lucha IV looked to make their first big splash in the wrestling world as they took on the Wild and Wicked team of Jesus Chavez and Cobra.

    • Gordon Shearer’s high-flying offence was the main talking point throughout this match as the man from the Colorado River Indian Reservation let out an offensive flurry unlike much of what is typically seen in Mid Atlantic Wrestling.

    • Things took a turn when Jesus Chavez raked the eyes of Shearer, forcing him to tag out to his less experienced partner.

    • The sadistic sides of Chavez and Cobra came out once they were in control of the match, wearing down Mr. Lucha IV on their side of the ring so he could not tag in his partner.

    • Eventually he managed to escape the clutches of his opponents and make the tag to Shearer who sprang into the ring with a double dropkick on Wild and Wicked and fought valiantly against both men.

    • The numbers game eventually caught up with Shearer and a stunner from Chavez led to him being caught in the Viper Vice and forced to tap out while his partner was knocked off the ring apron.

    • In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Wild and Wicked defeated Gordon Shearer and Mr. Lucha IV in 10:13 when Cobra submitted Gordon Shearer with a Viper Vice.

    • Mr. Lucha IV was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance.

    • Tag team veteran Brett Biggins took IPW’s Perry Longstaff under his wing in this match and the two seemed to immediately click as a pair.

    • Their slick double team moves made the aging Biggins roll back the clock and even hit some of his old aerial moves in a show that delighted an audience who have seldom seen the best of Biggins since he became a member of the MAW roster.

    • Quick City Kingpins wrestled well during this match but it wasn’t their day and Biggins hit his B-B-Gun on Murray Firth to seal the win for his team.

    • In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but terrible wrestling, Perry Longstaff and Brett Biggins defeated Quick City Kingpins in 9:38 when Brett Biggins pinned Murray Firth with a B-B-Gun.

    • Brett Biggins carried the match in terms of in-ring performance.

    • Longstaff and Biggins showed excellent chemistry as a team.

    • Terror Rising and Devil May Care hit the ring for what would likely be the biggest clash of styles in this year’s tournament.

    • Devastating Don and Richie Riggins tried to take the initiative and attacked their opponents before the bell.

    • This only worked for a few minutes as after a counter, a spattering of dazzling moves and a body breaker to Don by Acid II, the match was over within five minutes and DMC were moving on to the tournament quarter finals.

    • In an extremely short match, Devil May Care defeated Terror Rising in 3:57 when Acid II pinned Devastating Don with a Body Breaker.

    • One of the most hotly anticipated matches of this year’s tournament saw former MAW tag team champions DeMarcus & Grey take on the current CILL tag team champions, Team Rex.

    • Tyrone Gray started the match in the ring with Amazing Fire Fly and the two men flew around the ring like they were weightless, constantly countering one another’s moves and springing off the ropes in an athletic effort that moves the Baltimore crowd to their feet.

    • The technical mastery of the luchador style gave Fire Fly the advantage and once Hysteria entered the match, Gray found himself on the end of a vicious beating. The current Campeanato de Universal OLLIE, Hysteria is the man who took the belt of Nicolas Lopez almost a whole year ago and his mastery was on full display during his deconstruction of Tyrone Gray.

    • Gray nailed Hysteria with an enziguri and made the long crawl to his partner, and once Nate DeMarcus was in the match his pure power and inhuman athleticism brought the kind of kinetic energy that could overwhelm any opponent.

    • A series of belly-to-belly and German suplexes to his opponents turned the match in favour of DeMarcus & Gray and the match ending Rocket Launcher on Fire Fly shook the ring with its impact.

    • In a poor match, DeMarcus & Gray defeated Team Rex in 9:33 when Nate DeMarcus pinned Amazing Fire Fly with a Rocket Launcher.

    • After running through the first round of the Sam Keith Classic, the crowd settled in to welcome “The Dallas Cowboy” and “The Rogue Assassin” down to the ring.

    • This match started off slowly, with both competitors trying to feel the other out over the course of a lengthy chain wrestling process. As time elapsed, it became clear that Blaze had been training in his technical wrestling, but the Mid Atlantic champion found himself struggling to keep up with his opponents grappling.

    • After the pace of the match picked up, an errant tick brushed the front of the champion’s face and when he came up off the ground a steady pour of blood was oozing down the face of Bradley Blaze.

    • Upon realising he had been seriously injured, Blaze lashed out at Sterling Whitlock in a fit of rage and rained down punches on his opponent until the referee had to intervene, threatening Blaze with disqualification if he failed to keep his temper in check.

    • The match devolved into a series of stiff strikes and throws, with Whitlock reversing the Dallas Drop into a rollup for two, and Blaze breaking out of Whitlock’s End and nailing a Uranage.

    • Sterling Whitlock gained the upper hand as the clock was creeping towards the twenty-minute mark and he nailed Blaze with Whitlock’s end, but the champion kicked out.

    • With a look of near-boredom on his face, “The Rogue Assassin” proceeded to hit Blaze with a second Whitlock’s end, and then mounted the champion and rained blows down on his defenceless opponent until the referee believed that Blaze was no longer capable of continuing and called for the bell.

    • In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Sterling Whitlock defeated Bradley Blaze in 21:32 by stoppage when Bradley Blaze could not continue.

After the match, the house lights went down and a hooded figure walked out onto the entrance ramp, illuminated from above by a single spotlight while a lick of smoke curled around his ankles. The figure made its way to the ring and entered, handing a roll of cash to “The Rogue Assassin”, and then turned to face the unconscious form of Bradley Blaze. An eerie quiet descended over the Baltimore crowd as they drank in the figure standing before them. As the spotlight grew in size the figure reached up and pulled back its hood to reveal that Sterling Whitlock’s benefactor was none other than…

A/N: I would like to first off deeply apologise for what I feel is the poor quality of the matches on this show, making a card of eight straight up tag matches interesting to read haha.

In terms of predictions both Historian and Sco xY2Jx scored 6/9 and somehow both predicted that I would ever give Devastating Don a win in a diary, extremely brave picks!

  3. Sam Keith Classic XI Non-MAW Entrants

    Evil Intent [OLLIE]

    RuhEqT9.jpg6oi96f6.jpg

The current COTT World Tag Team champions will fancy their chances in this year’s tournament as they have lost only 3 matches across several promotions and independent shows since January. This is accompanied by their unprecedented 16 successful title defences across the territories and recent trios success in OLLIE. While the duo have never won a title outside of their native Mexico, their experience travelling across the United States, Canada and Mexico will surely give them an advantage against the more inexperienced teams in the competition.

Stevie Grayson & Greg Black [indie]

    CZxpd0D.jpgdPQyD1D.jpg

These two Canadian veterans have gone their whole careers without sharing a ring, and with Black’s release from USPW last year following a lengthy injury, this may be their last chance to do it. Ring rust will be this duo’s biggest worrying heading into the tournament as Black has not wrestled a single match since his release from USPW and Grayson has only worked three matches at small-time shows since the beginning of last year. With both of these men’s best days likely in the rear view, could they pull of an upset and score a victory in the biggest tag team tournament in independent wrestling?

    Quick City Kingpins [ACPW]

    FWpPlDj.jpgmQozbXr.jpg

While neither Murray Firth nor Spencer Edmund hail from Quick City, Missouri the pair have shown no signs of slowing down on their assent through the tag team ranks of ACPW. The puroresu stylings of Murray Firth have been an excellent balancing act to Edmund’s high flying antics and while the pair may be against the odds to win this year’s tournaments, few would deny their potential and even fewer would doubt that they will be back to win the big one again in the years to come.

    Team Rex [CILL]

    FwXdVho.jpgwMmV6gf.jpg

Current CILL Tag Team champions Team Rex have made for an unlikely success story. The risk taken with Amazing Firefly turning to the dark side has seemingly paid dividends and his popularity seemingly knows no bounds. Like with other young starlets entering this years tournament, his eventual call form EILL will surely dampen expectations of he and partner Hysteria winning this year’s competition, however the in-ring standard will be undoubtedly higher with their inclusion.

    Terror Rising [NYCW]

    kAVD4gH.jpgigseVaG.jpg

When older fans and industry veterans discuss a desire to go back to “the good ole days” when wrestler’s were real men – and they do generally mean exclusively men – it’s unlikely they ever anticipated a team as antiquated as Terror Rising. Devastating Don and Richie Riggins have been described as “the platonic ideal of 1980s American wrestling” and while that may be the case the pair’s lack of success in the ring likely speaks for itself. Don was eliminated from this year’s Rip Chord invitational after lass than 6 minutes and few would be surprised to see the same happen again in this tournament.

    The Creatures [CZCW]

    BIdrVRu.jpgzFb7F3P.jpg

The Creatures are a team who have worked with and against each other several times throughout the year, with neither man finding massive success in 2021. A lack of experience, a poor run of form and a lack of clearly defined character may well leave these two lagging behind, both in the ring and with the fans during this tournament.

    Wild and Wicked [FCW]

    9xa5GSe.jpgYSR3XiJ.jpg

Two-thirds of The Storm Riders are entering this year’s Sam Keith Classic under the name of Wild and Wicked. Cobra is another COTT man who has competed before in MAW, having taken part in the 2020 iteration of the Rip Chord Invitational. Despite losing in the first round on that occasion both he and his partner Jesus Chavez have only lost a single match since January 2020. If they manage to carry this momentum to Baltimore there is on team with a better win/loss record in the field to stop them.

Allen Smalls & Bowden Snoop [indie]

    M2I18YM.jpg9thBKJg.jpg

The last and perhaps definitive least entrants to the tournament is the second Independent outfit invited to MAW in the for of Allen Smalls and Bowden Snoop. Smalls is a graduate of the Supreme University and played for the New Mexico Lobos at college level and went on to be drafted into the NFL although didn’t achieve much in the way of championships. While many feel that Smalls was taken into the Supreme University based on his name value alone, his partner Bowden Snoop ground his way through the House of Stone under the relatively Spartan tutelage of Dan Stone Jr. These men come from very different wrestling backgrounds, and collectively have wrestled one professional match, but their particular combination of skills may be all that is needed for them to cause an upset and walk away with the Sam Keith Classic trophy.

  4. Sam Keith Classic XI MAW Entrants

    DeMarcus & Gray

    jai7S2E.jpgfI3iMjC.jpg

The winners of the 2016 Sam Keith Classic come into this year’s tournament fresh off of forming an alliance with crowd favourite Miller Fforde. The former Mid Atlantic Tag Team Champions are 4-2 as a team this year and found themselves on a four-match winning streak before falling due to interference from Lisa Bowen. The pair have been in good form since the beginning of 2020 and will be looking to launch themselves back into the title picture with a second tournament victory.

    Two Man Riot

    O6W2kJW.jpgo5swv69.jpg

The representatives of the Baltimore Protection Agency currently sit at an unimpressive 2-5 record in 2021 and will be looking to turn their year around with a good showing in this year’s SKC. The pair have shown steady improvement over the course of the year however they do find themselves sitting comfortably as outside bets to win the tournament this year.

    Devil May Care

    hgbDUGV.jpgE8rmT00.jpg

One of the biggest talking points coming out of last year’s tournament was the Herculean efforts of Simon Ice following his partner’s injury in their first-round match. Ice went on to the final, only falling to The Wolf Pack after a combination of tiredness and numerical disadvantage got the best of him. The pair find themselves with a very respectable 4-1 this year and without the bad luck of injury last year it is possible that they would have won last year’s tournament. Rumour has it that the team’s work in PSW is attracting early interest from some of the biggest companies in wrestling today which may result in a cooling off period for the high-flying duo.

    The Past Masters

    gYPF5yC.jpgh3rOlS4.jpg

The Past Masters team of Sandman Winks and The Historian have a record similar to that of DMC and DeMarcus & Gray, with a 3-1-1. The duo have spent much of the year away from the tag division as former John Hopkins University Champion Sandman Winks defended his championship throughout the year. The duo’s new more sadistic approach may help them beyond the semi-finals, where last year their overconfidence became a stumbling block.

Gordon Shearer & Mr. Lucha IV

    eZoEd1I.jpgVozViv2.jpg

This young duo has only come together very recently and have entered this tournament as a kind of trial-by-fire. Shearer would have likely planned to enter with former Lionhearts partner Kyle Diamond before he was called back to TCW after the breakdown in relations between the company and MAW. Given that Lionhearts were yet to pick up their first win as a team, Shearer may have more confidence with the newest man in the Mr. Lucha lineage.

    The Heartbreak Express

    kcT3xRv.jpgAAnBpVr.jpg

Following Ralph Liotta’s departure from MAW in 2020, Johnny Needham floundered as a singles star. Losing Lisa Bowen and every match he took part in, Needham was a man in need of change. The return of Liotta seems to have reinvigorated Needham and the pair have a win and a loss since their reunion earlier this year. The former two-time Mid Atlantic tag team champions will be looking to win their first Sam Keith Classic and go on to become one of the few teams who win a third set of tag titles in the company.

    The Rock City Stars

    LhONXaU.jpg39uy7jk.jpg

The most decorated team to enter this year’s tournament as representatives of MAW are also one of the teams to have never one gold in the company. Rockin’ Ryan Turner and Stan Manna are five-time tag team champions and find themselves with a 4-1-2 record in MAW in 2021. Fresh of the back of a tag team championship match loss to The Wolf Pack, the two veterans will be looking to bounce back with a strong showing and have good odds of bagging their first Sam Keith Classic in what many are dubbing a last hurrah for the duo in the company.

    Brett Biggins & Perry Longstaff

    wA2e1ks.jpgbz3MM1F.jpg

Former SWF man Brett Biggins finds himself as a permanent member of the MAW roster after impressing Sam Keith with his ability to guide younger wrestlers through a match. He will be teaming with Perry Longstaff as part of the only inter-promotional team in this year’s tournament. Longstaff’s Minnesota Awesome teammate Clark Smallbone left IPW earlier this year and was requested not to be entered into this year’s tournament now that he is no longer a member of a COTT company roster. While the pair lack experience teaming with each other, their individual tag team mastery could well bring them success in the tournament.

    • The Past Masters rekindled their uneasy alliance with Dreadnought in order to take on Cheetah Boy and The Heartbreak Express.

    • The Past Masters worked well with Dreadnought during this match, their new, more aggressive attitudes proving to mesh well with that of their monstrous companion. Meanwhile their relatively diminutive opponents struggled to find cohesion in the early goings of the match.

    • While they fought valiantly, Cheetah Boy found himself on the receiving end of a Dread Bomb after being isolated form his partners resulting in Dreadnought pinning the John Hopkins University champion for the second time in the space of a few months.

    • In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Dreadnought and The Past Masters defeated Cheetah Boy and The Heartbreak Express in 7:32 when Dreadnought pinned Cheetah Boy with a Dread Bomb.

    • Cheetah Boy, Dreadnought, Sandman Winks off their game.

After the bell rang Dreadnought began directing traffic, getting The Past Masters to remove The Heartbreak Express from the ring. Cheetah Boy, exhausted, crawled to his large adversary and slowly began the tortuous climb back to his feet, using Dreadnought’s singlet as a support. As he raised himself up to his knees, Dreadnought slapped him back down to the ground, he could be heard shouting at Cheetah Boy; “You can’t beat me old man, I’m the future!” Dreadnought then dragged Cheetah Boy up to his feet and delivered a devastating Dread Bomb that almost broke through the ring.

    • The Rock City Stars relatively poor win/loss record since returning to MAW had many critics, including the defending champions writing off their chances of winning their first ever tag team honours in the company.

    • The Stars started off exceptionally well with Ryan Turner aiming to nail a Six-string Shooter on Sione Tokoeka within a few minutes of the opening bell and would have ended the match there if Sean Noggin had failed to pull his partner out of the way.

    • The Stars brought the fight to The Wolf Pack until Sean noggin raked the eyes of Stan Manna and took control of the match.

    • Manna managed to fight back into the match and tag in Ryan Turner who hit some big moves on the champions, nailing a double northern lights suplex which brought the Baltimore crowd to their feet.

    • Unfortunately for the challengers in a moment of quiet genius Sione Tokoeka “accidentally” bumped into the referee which created a moment’s opening for Sean Noggin to hit a low blow on Turner and roll him up for a title defence.

    • In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Wolf Pack defeated The Rock City Stars in 14:54 when Sean Noggin pinned Rockin' Ryan Turner by using underhanded tactics. The Wolf Pack make defence number three of the Mid Atlantic Tag Team titles.

    • Deadline used his size to his advantage to control the early stages of the match, but it quickly became a back-and-forth affair as the crowd got behind Miller Fforde.

    • Things came to a rather abrupt end when Fforde nailed his opponent with a missile dropkick and sprung up to hit a quick Fforde Flip Face Crusher.

    • Many online have speculated that Blaze requested this match to gain experience with an out-and-out counter wrestler due to Sterling Whitlock’s stronger defensive wrestling.

    • Blaze’s straight brawling style was quickly neutered by Speed who tied Blaze up in a string of submission holds.

    • After almost ten minutes of Blaze being countered and trapped in the clutches of the challenger, he managed to land a hard shot to the jaw of Marc Speed.

    • The crowd sprung to life at the sight of a solid punch being landed in the main event, and Blaze took the initiative to fire up and lay punch after punch into speed.

    • Unfortunately for the champion, Marc Speed is anything but a one trick pony and battled from underneath to get things back to an even standing.

    • Sandman Winks was accompanied to the ring by The Historian, the pair shared equally smug expressions going into what many felt would be an easy victory for the rising star.

    • Cheetah Boy tried to force a hot start to the match, running at Winks right at the bell but his bellicose approach to the match led to Winks taking the advantage.

    • The Sandman ground Cheetah Boy down for what could only have been five minutes but felt at least five times the length.

    • While Cheetah Boy crawled for the ropes after finding himself locked in a Boston Crab, The Historian hurled abuse at him from outside the ring. The usually cocky yet controlled pair kept maniacal looks in their eyes as Winks focused his offence on the historically weak knees of Cheetah Boy.

    • But, against all odds the veteran scratched and clawed, literally, his way back into the match after raking the champion’s eyes.

His face was shrouded in the dense smoke and murky blackness that filled the room but when he spoke, it was a voice both familiar but hard to place due to the gentle distortion of the sound.

He said “You are probably wondering why we allowed you to win your title back Bradley. Well, it’s simple really, I knew once I had my dear sterling under my employ it would only be a matter of time before I came to claim what is rightfully mine. And I knew there was only one man that deserved to be the first victim of my reign of terror. Things just kept coming up and I disappeared off the site completely more or less since last summer. If you enjoyed this show you should thank Historian and Sco xY2Jx because if it wasn't for some eerily closely timed messages from those two then I probably would have sat on this show forever.

Also big thanks for DOTY nominations :D

  7. I'm finding it really weird that of all the things people are suggesting change-wise, people want the removal of something that's been in the game for over a decade now. I understand it sucks when someone you want to become the next Hulk Hogan doesnt get there, but like, it was the same in 2016 and 2013 etc. Why make a deal of it now when things havent seemed to have changed at all?

I've tried to run a couple of non-canon throwaway shows for the sake of building up experience. They're pretty much entirely 3v3 and 4v4 match cards, but they cost twice as much to run as they bring in so while I've run two of them in 2021 idk if they're worth it in the grand scheme of things

  12. Workers with white hot momentum typically are perceived as Major Stars though? Like, back at the tail end of 2018 Becky Lynch was taken as a major star despite not being particularly over beforehand (she was over but not the the extent of Asuka or Charlotte or Rhonda) because her momentum and great gimmick were through the roof. In my opinion white hot momentum like that really should have a massive impact on perception, but perhaps making it a little harder to keep hold of would be a nice middle ground

  14. TopRopeElbow.com: MAW Revenge is Sweet Card

The first Mid Atlantic Wrestling show in June is set to be the perhaps pointedly names MAW Revenge Is Sweet and is centred around both the final three qualifying matches for the Mid Atlantic Championship Scramble, and the reveal of the man who singled out Bradley Blaze as a target last month. On top of that Marvin Lambert will be making his MAW debut teaming up with War Piece. Marvin is said to have really impressed Sam Keith in his first and only match so far, a losing effort against veteran Masked Cougar which was said to have been a match good enough to main event any independent wrestling show.

Bonus Prediction: Who is the mystery man?:

(Hint: He worked for USPW at the beginning of the save)

  15. A/N: Hey all so I haven't really been around much the last few days. The reason for that is simple, I'm back in work and the physical demands of my job mean that when I have time I have no energy, so things will be slowing down considerably I feel, although I knew this day was coming. This means I'll be changing how I do prediction prizes going forward, with all prizes now being quarterly (every 3 months in-game) rather than monthly with the half-year prize. It means any narrative stuff will unfortunately have to be cherry picked which sucks because I really enjoyed giving time and attention to people I would usually never think to highlight. This means there will be no monthly prize for May, so apologies to Kjarvs who was the rightful winner of that but alas, now that that stuff is out of the way, onwards and upwards I say, the next event card will go up later tonight and hopefully we can start July off right!

  16. TopRopeElbow.com: COTT Champions Report

At the behest of our loyal readers we here at TopRopeElbow.com will be releasing semi-regular updates from across the Confederation of The Territories, and this month we will be focusing on the top champion in each of the alliance’s nine companies.

First is All Canada Pro Wrestling who have put the ACPW Junior Heavyweight championship on Jayson Van Pelt who is currently 65 days into his second reign as champion having won the title from Gram Gorman in what was a typically excellent bout for the pair.

CZCW’s Coastal Zone Championship now sits around the waist of American Flash and has done for 31 days. The Coastal Zone mainstay beat Al Coleman for the title at Uprising and has even made one successful defence so far in his reign.

Current CILL World Champion is El Jaguar, who has had an iron grip on the title for the better part of a year, with his reign sitting at 304 days since it began in June 2020. Having won the belt from Monkey Man, El Jaguar has gone on to be one of the most consistent workers in the Confederation and also makes up one third of the current COTT Trios Champions alongside Bullseye and Waylon Walls.

The current FCW Puerto Rican is Bradley Peverell who has held the belt for nearly a year himself, with “Hands of Stone” besting Handsome Stranger in a one-on-one rematch after claiming the title in a multi-man affair. Peverell has had a series of excellent matches recently, particularly against Big Cat Brandon who is seeing a career resurgence in the Confederation after being let go by SWF.

Frantic Ali is the most recent man to win a title on this list, having won the IPW Championship two days ago, besting Lug Phelan in a ladder match to claim the title. This leaves Ali as a double champion, as he also holds the COTT World Heavyweight Championship and has done so for 163 days.

Current NYCW Empire champion Tennessee Williams is currently in his third reign, having won the title from Brutus Milano who won the title from Williams, who won the title from Milano, who coincidentally won the title from Williams. In fact you have to go all the back to Roger Cage whose last title reign ended in January 2018 to find a man other than the two mentioned here who has held the belt. Does this suggest NYCW are low on bonafide main event talent, or are those two just that good?

The Campeonato de Universal OLLIE, which is usually in the iron grip of either Nico Lopez or Marcos Flores, currently finds itself in the hands of former EILL man Hysteria, who is also CILL World Tag Team champion. Hysteria has held the belt for over 200 days, making six defences along the way and this consistency has been much needed in the wake of the rapid decline in ability and popularity of “The Eternal Kings”.

Last, but only by means of alphabetical order, the QAW World championship is held by current 4-time champion Danielle Sweetheart who is also the longest serving champion on this list, clocking in at 318 days. While some may QAW should focus on young, fresh talent Sweetheart’s effect on the belt’s prestige can be seen clearly and few would bet against her failing to make the year at this point.

  17. She had too much backlash against her with all these protests and speaking out going on now. When she said I'm not showing up. She was pretty much doomed just like why wwe fired her.

Actually the report is that she basically refused to do anything for Impact while she was in Mexico and they had to reshoots and redo commentary for entire shows because she refused to send them promo stuff or interviews. So shes both a bully and difficult to work with it seems
