I've always wanted to see a simple WWE based mod with the WWE 12 storymode universe in it.

Ricochet casually reminding everyone that he's a mad lad and does a shooting star press from the stands onto Nakamura. Y'know like it's nothing.

This isn't TNA like when Hogan-Biscoff era, or Dixie. But I'd agree that when Punk got the axe, he did take a lot of winds out of their sales, figuratively and literally. As much as I dislike CM Punk, his name carries alot of weight and many fans. While Adam 'Edge' Copeland is a big deal, especially retaining the Metallingus song, it isn't enough to stem the tide of down business. Basically, the honeymoon period is over, and they need to figure out a way to regain interest.
So GDS faithful, let's brainstorm together what does AEW need to do to regain momentum? I'll start. Cut back on "big announcements".

I'm all for this new change for Brian Pillman Jr. (Lexis King)
And NXT was really fun tonight. The main roster folk really elevate the dev peeps. Seeing them be around the top stars show who they see as the future. Carmelo Hayes Is HIM.

SHA are still hanging in there in August 2024 of my save. Athletic Empire were the first Australian promotion to fall, with Luxe now in a bad way. I've only got Oceania loaded though, so I'm not sure if that affects the dynamics in any way.
Nice work @FellaLibby and @juan_historico. Who are DIW's current title holders in those saves?
Sure, DIW Champion is 7 time champion Rob Edwards. Currently on 13 defenses. DIW Australian is 2 time champion Cesar Sionis, and the tag champions are Soul Burner and Con McReady who have just formed just before the end of 2026 and are named "Justice League Dark"

What's the war down in Mexico looking like? Surprised CILL have been surviving, they're a great company but you'd think with 4 big ones in a war and their one draw working Coastal Zone they're toast AI wise.
The "Mexican Wrestle War" is SOTBPW and everyone else. SOTBPW is ranked 9th, where as OLLIE is 28th, Skull is 37th as a *big*, EMLL is 38th close behind, PCW hangs around at 42nd, CILL is medium at 45th, MHW survives at 51st and last in Mexico is LE at 74th.
One notable thing I should mention about these companies, is that SOTBPW was Company of the Year in 2022, but OLLIE was in 2023 and 2024. And The Most Improved Company was CILL in 2026.
Also @lavelleuk if you ever need a thing for intros to saves, you should totally call the Mexico area the Mexican Wrestle War. Just saying P.S. I wouldn't mind doing your intro's...

You've played a have six years? That would be interesting as I've done some test saves that long but obviously it's different when you're active in the save
Well I should clarify, I did a watching save. I do a rule of thumb to not fully play before seeing what I'm in for. Plus I like seeing what the AI does, Also, I miss read myself, its 5 years. Still, heres what happened.
Company closures first: White Canvas Grappling December 22
-All but one event were rated under 70
-Had 9 Great matches (Green means great to me)
Back Garden Wrestling May 2024
-Their bestest shows were all rated 50
-Never had a great match, but The Damned was their best worker imo
Shocking Hardcore Action May 2024
-Best show was just rated 49, ow.
-Louie Louis was their figurehead that never was. He went back to RAW btw
TITAN Factory Wrestling August 2024
-Held 4 very good shows and plenty of great matches, so it was kinda sad to see it go.
-Dreadnaught has plenty of good skills but is nowhere near as popular as his dad, his matches are meh to okay, and has just lost all employment by 2027.
-TFW closed A DAY BEFORE QdiL
Quema de las Libelulas August 2024
-No matches or events beat the 70 mark sadly
-Had the smallest all time roster, no one got the chance to work there it seems.
Danger And Violence Is Destiny October 2024
-Guess Sammy Bach couldn't run a fed around him and Joey Morgan lol
-I couldn't tell you how many times the game booked Bach and Morgan vs Gods of Thunder
-Btw no matches or events above 70
Original Legends Deathmatches January 2025
-NEW > OLD
-Event rates no higher than 50, yipe.
-All time roster is TIED with QdiL
El Paso Lucha July 2025
-They had some bangers for such a small company, 4 events above 70
-They even had Ranger on their roster and helped make even bigger great matches. Guess him getting a USPW contract killed EPL.
Baltimore Wild September 2025
-Biggz Boyz were pretty alright but everyone came for Ashley Keith
-No shows or matches at 70. But hey, Ash Keith is good.
-Also beat QPW by a few days
Quebec Pro Wrestling September 2025
-Christian Price loved himself. Put himself over 108 TIMES
-Shows under 70, but had pretty great matches, some without Price.
-Btw, Price has only had one awesome (light blue) match in 4C! Where he still works.
Invincible Pro Wrestling December 2025
-Guess Nemesis got serious coal for Christmas
-Had plenty of great shows and even more matches. So the loss of IPW is a surprise.
Lone Star Wrestling January 2026
-Never had a show rated higher than 65
-Eric Montgomery is the only member of that family worth talking about.
Proud Welsh Wrestling June 2026
-Did pretty fine for a dev fed for NOTBPW, got events at 57.
-Motoyuki Miyake carried this company with UK Dragon.
I can answer questions about what happened during these past 5 years if anyone wants to know.

I have a 6 years later review to put down. There are some surprises to mention. To add, I added the additional workers you have to this.

Someone on another forum suggested Wardlow which isn't a bad idea. He needs a mouthpiece.
I've got one. Wardlow, Miro, Brian Cage, Powerhouse Hobbs (and maybe Big Bill too why not?) Put them together can call it MEAT DIVISION. CJ Perry nowhere to be seen.

- CJ opposing Miro instead of managing him is more fun.
*Vietnam war flashbacks of the same thing* Wished she was just not in at all. Miro is better without her in his storylines.

Jim Johnston had so many god tier themes under his belt. CFO$ had a ton of bangers too. It's a shame WWE's current music production staff isn't as good.
I liked some of CFOdollarsign music, but the next imo was Tyson Kidd's Right Here Right Now theme was the best. Jim Johnston was just magic in the music department.

Just as a reminder, TAKA Michinoku's theme slaps and you all should listen to it again.
Hot take, I think the theme for Kaientai (aka Funaki's theme) slaps harder and is great for writing music.

My God... When Nintendo fails us, the fans deliver!
Here is a link to find the ModDB page of Event Horizon. It's free, you don't even need to own Freespace 2 to play this gem

A second one I'll add is for Legend of Zelda fans. It was also by the same creator of Star Fox Event Horizon but he stopped development to move on to another game as base for his mod. Someone took the mantle to finish what he started on it and did it to the best of his ability. It's a mod for Medieval 2 Total War, (aka Total War: Medieval 2). The mod is called Hyrule Total War and if you know the Total War franchise, then this is what you might expect with LoZ elements. I also highly recommend this mod.

I feel ya. I'm a Star Fox fan and it's been just as long since we got a real Star Fox game with no stupid gimmick to it. Miyamoto deserves credit where it's due, but he's reached a point where his constant meddling is strangling the life out of every franchise not named Mario or Zelda. And even with Zelda, it seems like they had to strap him down to keep him from messing with Monolith's work on Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
My fellow Star Fox fan, I highly recommend you seek out Star Fox Event Horizon. It's a mod for Freespace 2 and just released it's fully voiced demo, with voices from Star Fox 64 and more. You'll find it on ModDB

I need to vent. I'm a massive F-Zero fanboy (if my avatar pic wasn't clear enough) and Nintendo finally heard my cry. They are finally giving me a new F-Zero game. It's... A bloody Battle Royal with the SNES F-Zero style and graphics. F-Zero 99 they call it.
Words alone cannot describe my disappointment and anger, but imma try. I don't consider this "game" a new game. I see it as a mod. I have seen people do similar things, with the original Mario Kart. This is a literal slap in my face. How difficult is it for Nintendo, to just make a futuristic race game, with 30 different racers, who all have their own race machines and use skill and destruction to race?
Worse to me, is that they could've used all this time to maybe re-release F-Zero GX, what I consider the last F-Zero game. I mean, they are re-releasing Paper Mario A Thousand Year Door, why not GX? I get Miyamoto doesn't understand why people like me want F-Zero, when Mario Kart is more popular, but his demand that everything new must have a new gimmick, and that be it's main selling point. In F-Zero, you just race and kick all ass. Human or alien ass. Doesn't need to be more fancy than that, and he doesn't see the appeal, when you do that, and use items, in Mario Kart.
I likely won't be buying F-Zero 99, and I'll be still waiting for a brand new F-Zero.

Never thought I'd see McMahon give up his company while alive. (Round 2)
-
Mike Tenay was the best commentator TNA's ever had. Josh Matthews is not tolerable.
-
My money is on Roddy getting the match, just to rub more salt in the Cole/MJF love story. While I'd like to see Joe get the match he deserves, I don't want to see him lose to MJF with no additional build other than "He pushed me!" And this tournament as reason. Everyone else in this feels like fodder.

I find it sad that if what people say is true that Punk was "It's me or them", any booker would obviously choose The Elite over Punk. Punk maybe a big star as himself, but The Elite literally helped forge AEW, and would likely be a more legal headache for Tony to handle. It's unknown if Kenny and/or The Bucks had the same hard-line stance as Punk did, but I wouldn't blame them if that's the case. Plus, they are 4 talented stars (Kenny Hanger, Bucks), and respected by a sizeable portion of the roster, at best case, they work together and *never* work together. Which would've left a lot of money on the table never finalized all because of ego. At worst, it could've turned into another screwjob incident where actual people would leave the company because they won't work with Punk or the Elite.
Collision was a decent idea to keep them separated, but I personally don't like the whole "soft brand split" thing. I didn't like it when WWE was dragging the brand split in 2011-2016, and I don't like it when only certain people you'll only see on (THIS SHOW) whereas you'll see some people multiple shows. I'm glad with Punk gone, Collision will not have any restricted rosters and we'll see more people hopefully.
As for the future? Who knows. I don't like CM Punk, I haven't since he walked out on WWE. His firing was a long time coming for a anti Punk guy like me (sidenote he's on my TEW Blacklist) and I can say that AEW will be better without him. It will still be interesting where he ends up, tho my money's on WWE because they see the value he is in this instance. But we'll see. As long as this truly isn't a work, please for the love of God don't be a work! This will be the most terrible outcome if it's a work!!!

I'm not gonna tell you how to raise your son because it's not my place, but in my opinion, show him US based wrestling for his early life. Because while Japanese companies are enjoyable, US based are usually more accessible for kids to become fans.
