Loved it! Which mod? 87?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Correct. The Mod Squad's Golden Age 1987 mod, my game is currently in April of 89.</p>
  2. <p>"STINGER! Sting! Ya did it kid! It took ya three tries, but ya did it! To be the man, you gotta beat the man, and now, Stinger, you're the man. Third times the charm, am I right Tony? Last year, Sting, you went 40 minutes with me and couldn't get the job done, and I said you hadda be able to go all night long to run with The Nature Boy! Last month at Superbrawl, you went bell-to-bell with me, 60 minutes! Broadway! Just like me and Harley Race! Just like me and Ricky Steamboat! Then last Sundy, you did what nobody for the past 2 and a half years could do. Ya beat The Nature Boy 1-2-3. Sure, ya caught me with my pants down, but hats off to ya all the same.</p><p> </p><p> Y'know, Tony, when I went back behind the curtain, first person I saw was Arn Anderson. Arn put his arm around my shoulder an' said 'C'mon, Ric. We'll hit the town, cheer ya up.' an' I looked at him and I said 'Not Tonight.' You understand the importance a' that Sting?! Never! In 16 years! Has The Nature Boy said 'Not tonight!' Not to an opponent, not to a drinking buddy, and definitely not to a woman! Next day I went back home to Charlotte and I started thinking. Maybe I had gotten a little complacent. Maybe things have been too easy for me lately. The best and brightest from all across the country and around the world have come after me and my title and I beat 'em all! After ya go through the best, whaddaya do with what's left? Huh, Tony?!</p><p> </p><p> So, I tell ya what, kid. You strap that tile around your waist and you wear it with pride. You wear it to the TVs, to the Pay-per-views, to the little kids birthday parties, or whatever it is you do in your spare time, and you hang on to it tight. 'Cuz I'm hittin' the gym like I did back in '81 and I'm trainin' like I did when I was gettin' ready to beat The American Dream Dusty Rhodes for that first time and when I come for that title you better be ready Stinger. 'Cuz when I'm at my best, there ain't nobody better! WOOOO!"</p>
  3. The Marlboro Man look is what I'm looking to move Scott away from, but trying to do something different than Diamond Studd/Razor Ramon. The Rotunda Talent Agency is a strong idea, and would be perfect for a group of midcard heels. Changing Rotunda's character won't be that big of a deal, it's not like he's been on TV much anyways.
  4. <p>It's 1989 and Scott Hall has spent the past year as a mid-carder as a part of Ted DeBiase's Million Dollar Mercenaries stable, mostly teaming with Outlaw Ron Bass and more recently Michael Walstreet/Rotundo, and mostly losing. I'm planning on having him leave the mercenaries, and upgrade his look to what most people think of when they think "Scott Hall". I need a character that fits his look, but is different from The Diamond Stud or Razor Ramon.</p><p> </p><p> Bonus points if anyone suggests an idea for a stable made up of Hall, Rick Rude, and Shawn Michaels. Double bonus-points if you can figure out how to integrate Michael Wallstreet into this stable, since he and Hall apparently have great tag chemistry.</p>
  5. Y'know, I was gonna comment how 1992 was awfully early for the Raven character, then I realized 1992 was actually the peak of the grunge movement, and wrestling companies at the time were just really out of touch. Also, The Ebony Experience is my favorite Jada Fire movie. <_<
  6. I don't even see how this is a question. How have you not already named them The Wonderful Dicks and posted it either the Screenshot Thread or the What's Going On In Your Game Thread, for us all to laud your comedic genius.
  7. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="jordanmason17" data-cite="jordanmason17" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41174" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><p> I really think Ultimate Warrior is holding back, because he can't seem to get many good matches out of people as the world champion:confused:</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> It's because the Ultimate Warrior is all sizzle, and no steak. All flash, and no pan. All grease-paint and fluff muscles, and can barely even count to four, let alone correctly apply a figure four leg lock. Any audience with a nickel's worth of taste wouldn't buy into his schtick, and any promoter with a dime's worth of business sense wouldn't let him in a main event other than an 8, no, 10 man tag!</p>
  8. <p>Current fortunes? That's his momentum, right? It's Major Positive, or whatever the highest one is. He's been my secondary focal point since I've started this game, next to Flair. He spent most of last year feuding with, and beating the Four Horsemen, except for Flair(but, I mean, nobody beats Flair[until maybe Ricky Steamboat returns from injury]).</p><p> </p><p> Now, you raise valid and interesting points, I think I like the 'success going to his head' angle, but one thing I hadn't considered when I wrote this is his star power and national battles.</p><p> </p><p> He's currently my highest point earner in the Star Power aspect of National Battles(even though Flair is technically more over), and I've been desperately trying to over take the WWF in this area. I feel like I have to keep him strong if I ever want to start winning the national battle.</p>
  9. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="cappyboy" data-cite="cappyboy" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41193" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>What alignment do you have Luger playing at the moment and who is he aligned with if anybody?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Face, currently aligned with Sting and Barry Windham against the dastardly 4 Horsemen. At the moment he's feuding with an up-and-coming Vader, tho.</p>
  10. It's February 1989, I've been playing JCP, now WCW since 1987. Since that time I've been building up Lex Luger. Much like reality, it turns out he doesn't quite have the chops to carry the company, so I'm moving more towards building up Sting, with Lex still being a top-but-not-tippy-top guy. An Arn Anderson, a Barry Windham, an Undertaker, and so on. However, one game-week ago I got a notification that Lex Luger had become flabby. Since the game won't let me tell him to hit the gym(or syringe), I'm at an impasse at what to do with him. One the one hand, his stats are unchanged, and he's a fine and popular performer. On the other hand, without his chiseled physique and 3% body fat, what's even the point? So, should I keep pushing him as normal, or drop him down the card until he can get himself together?
  11. <p>Don't feel like going through the hassle of taking and posting a screenshot, but I just got notification that Lex Luger has changed body types to "Flabby"(it's 1989 in my game, BTW).</p><p> </p><p> I'm not mad, just disappointed.</p>

I'm glad people are enjoying them. I know I don't have the time or creative energy to do a full-time diary, but its fun to do little things like this.</p>

I will always be putting him in funny and random skits too to make his character seem realistic. His debut started with a skit of him sitting in his office eating donuts before getting a call that a little cowboy is running around the ring, so Detective Buentello gets off his ass and storms to the ring and deals with the problem! </p><p> </p><p> I'll later be debuting a new partner for him soon but not sure who his partner will be yet:confused: Sort of want to sign a face however to do a 'Good cop/Bad cop' scenario:)</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I dunno if he's available, but in my 87 game, One Man Gang never became Akeem the African Dream. Instead, he reformed his lawbreaking ways and became Officer Mike Grey, teaming with fellow law-enforcment officer Big Boss Rogers to form The Twin Towers.</p>
  14. Jim: Welcome back fans, and thanks for joining us as we take a look back at 1988's Jim Crockett Cup Jim Crockett Memorial Cup 1988 Preliminary Round The Rock N' Roll Express(Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) vs The New Breed(Chris Champion and Sean Royal) - The Rock N' Roll Express came into this years tournament with something to prove, having recently lost the NWA World Tag Team Titles. Paul: Y'know, if they really are from the future, you'd think they would've knew they were going to lose in the first round, and not even bothered to enter. The Brainbusters(Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard) vs The Fabulous Freebirds(Buddy Roberts and Terry Gordy) - The Horsemen, Arn and Tully, were the team to beat this year, entering the tournament as World Tag Team Champions. They were also the most hated team as The Road Warriors, The Rock N' Roll Express, and Lex Luger and Sting had all publicly declared their desire to be the ones to take the Horsemen out of the tournament. The Fabulous Freebirds made a quite a splash after making the jump to the big leagues, but not big enough of a splash to overcome the reigning champions. Paul: In with a splash, out with a ripple, as injuries plagued this team throughout their run. The Road Warriors(Hawk and Animal) vs Los Guerreros(Eddy and Chavo Guerrero) - After being sidelined for a little over a year, like we said earlier in the program, Road Warrior Animal made his triumphant return in the 1988 Jim Crockett Cup. Paul: Now, I liked the Guerreros, they lied, they cheated, they stole... Men after my own heart. But this was plain and simply a massacre. The Midnight Express(Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane) vs The Dudes With Attitudes(Terry Taylor and Shane Douglas) - Even though they weren't champions, the Midnight Express was one of the hottest tag teams coming into this tournament, with a string of high-profile victories, and many observers at the time favored them to win the whole tournament. On the other hand, the fresh faced Dudes With Attitudes had only debuted as a team earlier that month, and couldn't quite overcome the exprience of the Midnight Express Paul: Y'know, I like Shane Douglas. Once he gets past all the smiling, and the neon shorts, I think he could be someone you can really build a franchise around. The Steiner Brothers(Rick and Scott Stiner) vs The Thunderfoots - Rick's younger brother Scott began competing for WCW in the fall of 1987. Rick and Scott didn't really see eye to eye at the time as Scott felt like Rick's compatriots in the Varsity Squad were taking advantage of him. Their disagreement never really went anywhere as Scott left for a winter tour of Japan. When Scott returned, the Varsity Club had dissolved, and Rick and Scott made amends and took the tag division by storm. Paul: It doesn't say much for the Steiner family gene pool when Scott Steiner is the smart one of the family. Lex Luger and Sting vs Ron and Jimmy Garvin - The story of WCW in 1988 is the story of Lex Luger, kicked out of the Four Horsemen early in the year, he made it his mission to take revenge on each of the Horsemen in turn and he wanted to start in the Jim Crockett Cup. Paul: And the Garvins were there too. The Samoan Swat Team(Fatu and Samu) vs The MOD Squad(Spike and Basher) - Much like The Sheepherders last year, The Samoan Swat Team, and their manager Sherri Martel, were brought in specifically to compete in the tournament. Paul: Interesting fact, even though they come from the Pacific Isle of Samoa, our talent scouts actually found them in Puerto Rico. Death and Destruction(Johnny Ace and The Barbarian) vs The Mulkey Brothers(Bill and Randy Mulkey) - After The Powers of Pain didn't live up to expectation, Paul Jones paired The Barbarian with the then-unknown Johnny Ace, and since then they'd been terrorizing the tag team circuit, even finding success as far as Mexico and Japan. Paul: He'll never admit it in public, but a little bird told me that Ric Flair himself thinks Johnny Ace has huge potential. Jim Crockett Memorial Cup Quarter Final Round Lex Luger and Sting vs The Samoan Swat Team - They're bad, they're tough, but weren't quite tough enough to beat Lex Luger and The Man Called Sting. Paul: It's pathetic that their manager, Scary Sherri, has been more successful than them. She's won the NWA Women's Championship, and I hear if they don't start picking up some wins, they won't even be invited to this year's tournament. The Midnight Express vs The Steiner Brothers - Fans, if ever there was a reason to buy the home video of the 1988 Jim Crockett Cup, this match is it. This was an all-time classic, and even though they didn't win, definitely made stars out of The Steiner Brothers. Mark my words, folks, they're going to be talking about this match for years to come as the beginning of The Steiner's legacy. Paul: I just think it's a great tragedy that Jim Cornette ducked out of the way of that Steinerline. The Road Warriors vs Death And Destruction - This match was, to put it bluntly, a slobber-knocker if ever there was one, with The Road Warriors continuing their march to victory. Paul: After this match, President Reagan himself declared Greensboro a disaster area. They still haven't fully recovered. Jim: For pity's sake, Paul, this is cable TV, show some decorum. The Brainbusters vs The Rock N' Roll Express - This was a rematch from 1987's Starrcade, and even though it was a little bit more interesting, with both teams having learned from their first encounter, it played out much the same way, with the Horsemen getting the win. Jim Crockett Cup Semi Final Round The Brainbusters vs Lex Luger and Sting - Vengeance would be denied as Arn Anderson ended this match though duplicitous means early on in what could have been an epic encounter. Paul: Don't feel bad for Lex Luger, though. He'd make both Arn and Tully submit to The Torture Rack later in the year. The Road Warriors vs The Midnight Express - Once again, Jim Cornette's over ambitious attempts to assist his clients leads to a disqualification in the Jim Crockett Cup. Paul: <laughs gleefully> Jim Crockett Cup Final Round The Brainbusters vs The Road Warriors - This was the match the fans were hoping to see when the tournament brackets were announced, and lemme tell ya fans, it delivered. Another all-time classic and voted #8 in the top-ten WCW matches of 1988. Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard further cemented their dominance of the tag team division. Paul: The Road Warriors would get the last laugh though, beating the Horsmen in June when it really mattered, when gold was on the line. Jim: Well, fans, that about wraps it up for our retrospective on the Jim Crockett Memorial Cup. While nothing's been made official yet, I can tell you The World Tag Summit is shaping up to be even greater. Paul: We've sent talent scouts all around the world, from the smokiest bars of Puerto Rico, to the top of Mount Fuji. From Arena Mexico, to Calgary, Alberta Canada. Jim: And you can catch the first night of action right here, at 8:05, 7:05 eastern, on TBS The Superstation, and then the semi final and final matches live on Pay-Per-View Paul: Call your cable, or satellite providers!
  15. Something ain't right with that mod if Kyle O'Reilly is the weak link in that match. Anyhoo... Jim: Fans, it's getting to be that time of year again. The temperatures are starting to warm up, and so is the tag team action here at World Championship Wrestling. Paul: That's right, Jim, the event formerly known as the Jim Crockett Memorial Cup, rechristened by the higher-ups at Turner Broadcasting as The World Tag Summit, is fast approaching. Jim: Tonight we're going to have a look back at the past two years of tag team competition. Jim Crockett Cup 1987 Opening Round The Super Powers(Dusty Rhodes and Nikita Koloff vs The Jive Tones(Tiger Conway, Jr. and Pistol Pez Whately) - The combined powers of The American Dream and The Russian Nightmare made short work of, well, let's be honest, what you would call a preliminary match team. Paul: They got beat so bad, both of them were out of the company within a month. Barry Windham and Kendall Windham vs The Thunderfoots - Now, The Thunderfoots are considered by many fans as an opening match act. In actuality, The Thunderfoots were quite successful in other NWA Affiliates in Florida and the Appalachias. That just goes to show the high level of competition here in WCW. Paul: Sure they may be hot stuff in the Florida bingo hall circuit, but here in the big leagues, they didn't last 5 minutes against the brothers Barry and Kendall The Midnight Express(Beautiful Bobby Eaton and Stunning Stan Lane) vs Jim and Randy Mulkey - Folks, if I were a betting man, The Midnight Express is the team I would've put my money down on to win the whole tournament. Out of all the teams in the tournament, they have the most experience both as a team, but as a team at high levels of competition. Paul: What about The Mulkey Brothers? Jim: Well, what about them? Lex Luger and Tully Blanchard vs The New Breed(Chris Champion and Sean Royal) - In this match we saw Lex Luger, who was at the time a new member of the Four Horsemen teaming with one of the founders of the Horsemen against one of the more... unorthodox teams in WCW. Paul: Y'know, I asked Chris Champion if he could bring me back a sports almanac from 2002. Just, y'know, out of curiosity. The jerk won't return my calls since. The Rock 'N Roll Express(Ricky Morton and Bobby Gibson) vs The Powers of Pain(The Barbarian and The Warlord) - If you'd asked the average fan back in 1987, they would have picked the Rock 'N Roll Express to win the tournament, as they were the NWA World Tag Team Champions at the time. Even though they lost later on in the tournament, they actually managed to hang on to the World Tag Team Title until the end of the year. Paul: As for the Powers of Pain, Paul Jones had big, big hopes for these two. Expected 'em to conquer the world! But they just couldn't pull it together as a team. The Awesome Twosome(Manny Fernandez and Rick Rude) vs Rick Steiner and Sting - The Awesome Twosome came into this tournament with something to prove, having just lost the NWA World Tag Team Titles just a few weeks before to the Rock 'N Roll Express. Rick Steiner and Sting made their debuts at this event. Talent scouts found them as a team working in the midwest. They went their separate ways after losing in the Jim Crockett Cup, as everyone knows. Paul: Hey, whatever happened to Rick Rude? Jim: I don't think we're allowed to discuss that on the air. The Sheepherders(Butch and Luke) vs Jimmy Valiant and The Lazertron - The Sheepherders were in import all the way from New Zealand, making their debuts, and a strong debut at that, against the veteran Jimmy Valiant and the then-NWA Jr Heavyweight Champion The Lazertron. Paul: I'm disappointed at whoever booked this tournament. You mean they couldn't find another full-fledged tag team, and they had to fill a bracket with a pair of singles wrestlers thrown together? Shame on them. Ronnie and Jimmy Garvin vs The MOD Squad(Spike and Basher) - This match was almost thrown out by the referee when Ric Flair came down to ringside to harass Precious. Order was restored and The Sharp Dressed Man Jimmy Garvin got the win. Quater Final Round The Midnight Express vs The Garvins - An exiting match between four talented professionals. The Midnight Express pick up the win thanks to the intervention of their manager James E. Cornette. Paul: I'd say what I think about Jim Cornette, but then they'd never air this segment. The Windhams vs The Awesome Twosome - Young Kendall really showed his inexperience in this match, against the more savy, and let's be honest, underhanded tactics of the Awesome Twosome, but Barry more than made up for it, and the Windhams move on to the semi-finals The Superpowers vs The Sheepherders - This was a wild, bloody brawl, and on any other show would've been the match of the night, with Nikita Koloff getting the win with The Russian Sickle! Paul: It took two weeks to clean the stains from the mat! Lex Luger and Tully Blanchard vs The Rock and Roll Express - An absolute classic match, all four men giving their all, but the experience and slick teamwork of Ricky Morton and Bobby Gibson were no match for the strength of Lex Luger and the cunning of Tully Blanchard. Paul - Though if they were smart, they would've used this to get a shot at the Tag Titles. If they were smart. Semi-Final Round Lex Luger and Tully Blanchard vs The Windhams - Once again, Kendall is the weak link in the team. This match saw Luger and Blanchard focus and isolate the young athlete, and he quickly tapped out to the Torture Rack. Paul: I guess this proved who's the favorite in the Windham family, huh? The Super Powers vs The Midnight Express - This was a short match as Jim Cornette got a little.. let's call it 'ambitious', in his trying to help his clients and got the Midnight Express disqualified. Paul: Good. Finals The Super Powers vs. Lex Luger and Tully Blanchard - Folks, lemme tell ya, fans were hanging off the rafters in the Baltimore Arena for this one. This one had it all. It almost went to a time-limit draw. The Super Powers had the deck stacked against them with James J. Dillion and Arn Anderson at ringside. But for all Luger's power and all of Blanchards, well, cheating- Paul: You say 'cheating', I say 'experience and cunning'. Jim: Well, in any case, the The Dream and The Nightmare persevered, with Dusty handing out Bionic Elbows like Easter candy. As most fans know, this match was just one battle in the war between The Super Powers and The Horsemen, a war that wouldn't come to its conclusion until that July at the Great American Bash. Paul: Featuring WAR GAMES! Now available on home video! Jim: Now, if you weren't following WCW at the time, and you're watching this, you might be wondering why The Road Warriors, Hawk and Animal, weren't a part of this tournament. That's because Road Warrior Animal actually suffered a severe head injury the month prior to the tournament, and was out of action for about a year. Paul: A head injury? You mean to tell me their skulls aren't made of titanium? Jim: Tough as they may be, they're still just flesh and bone. The Road Warriors would make their triumphant return at next year's tournament, and when we come back from the break, we'll run down all the action from the 1988 Jim Crockett Memorial Cup.
  16. <p>I really like the name "World Tag Summit". Very CNN sounding. Very 'International Object'. Sounding. I'm sure Uncle Ted would approve. </p><p> </p><p> As for booking the tournament, I'm pretty happy with it being a 2-night, single elimination event. It makes it feel like a big deal special event without it overriding the TV shows for a month or so. Out of the teams you listed, only a few are available. I don't exactly know who's going to be in it, yet, I'm still in early January, but I'm thinking about giving it to The Steiners. They just came off a losing but impressive match with The Road Warriors at Starrcade, and the World Tag Summit is going to be their start of their dominance as a tag team.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41193" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div> Sting and Luger -Active and participating<p> The Raging Bulls (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude) -Rude is on a written deal with AJPW, probably wouldn't work for me anyway since I fired him for failing a drug test in 87.</p><p> The Steiner Brothers - Active and participating</p><p> The Skyscrapers (Dan Spivey & Sid Vicious) - Both are currently unemployed so I could bring them in.</p><p> Doom (Butch Reed & Ron Simmons) - Butch Reed is on a written deal with WWF</p><p> The Von Erichs (Kevin Von Erich & Kerry Von Erich) - Both on written deals with the impressively still alive WCWA</p><p> </p><p> The U.S. Express (Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda) - Rotunda is Michael Wallstreet and a part of Ted DeBiase's Million Dollar Mercenaries stable.</p><p> The Road Warriors (Road Warrior Hawk & Road Warrior Animal)-Active and participating</p><p> The Rock & Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) - Active and participating</p><p> The Freebirds (Michael Hayes, Jimmy Garvin, Terry Gordy & Diamond Dallas Page) - Gordy is with WWF and Michael Hayes with WCWA, and without them, what's the point?</p><p> Dusty Rhodes & Nikita Koloff- Koloff has been falling down the card since mid-87(he knows what he did) and Dusty hasn't had anything to do with him in over a year.</p><p> The Midnight Express (Stan Lane & Bobby Eaton)- Just broke up when Beautiful Bobby Eaton joined The Four Horsemen</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'll probably do a write up of this tournament, and maybe the past 2 tournaments, in the "What's Going On In Your Game" thread.</p>
  17. Wait, that is 5 guys. You say you need a suggestion for a 5th Nation member, but there's already 5 people in the group? Also, just thought about it since my last post: A young Ron Killings should be in that mod, probably in NWA Wildside or something.
  18. Is the current lineup Farooq, The Rock, D'Lo, and He Who Would Be The Godfather? What of Mark Henry? New Jack? Bring back Zeus if he's in the mod? Farooq's old partner Butch Reed? To avoid double-posting: Since 1986, The Jim Crockett Memorial tag team tournament has been the highlight of spring in JCP. Now that its 1989 and Jim Crockett Promotions is World Championship Wrestling and Jim Crockett Jr is no longer with the company, should the event, and it's associated championship title be renamed, and if so, to what?
  19. <p>Clearly, the most historically accurate and most WCW way of handling this problem would be to drop the angle and never mention it again.</p><p> </p><p> That, or drag the angle out for almost a year, without a resolution in mind, then offhandedly mention that it was Eric Bischoff, then drop the angle.</p><p> </p><p> Or reveal the attacker to be a framed picture of Scott Hall.</p>
  20. <p>Hey, remember all that debate and discussion as to who was going to join the Four Horsemen in the beginning of the year and eventually I settled on Bobby Eaton?</p><p> </p><p> Well guess who picked up a shoulder injury at Starrcade and is gonna be out for 2 months?</p><p> </p><p> It was Bobby Eaton.</p><p> </p><p> I guess maybe I'll turn Stan Lane face while he's out, since I've already been building the turn, have him return by helping forcibly remove Windham from the Horsemen, then a short feud with Lane to tie up that loose end.</p>
  21. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Valkyria" data-cite="Valkyria" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41193" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Hello there, <p> </p><p> I am starting a new game in Fleisch's Real World Mod of August 2016. He can lose the title, but he must, overall, hold the title for longer than he doesn't. If Jeff Jarrett isn't an active wrestler, this can be ignored.</p><p> 6) See what sticks: Any gimmick changes must be made at random, regardless of whether the worker is capable of pulling off the gimmick.</p><p> </p><p> Maybe these are a little much? I dunno. But I think they'll provide an accurate and authentic Vince Russo experience.</p>
  22. Barry Windham is getting kicked out, if I didn't mention that before. He replaced Luger after Luger got kicked out. The Horsemen aren't The Horsemen without Flair and Arn, and Tully Blanchard out performs Windham in every way, plus he has great tag team chemistry with Arn. KnowYourEnemy raises some good points, about Kayfabe and whatnot. Ace is currently Heel and has a better Heel rating, for what it's worth. Sure I could turn him down the line, but that's getting ahead of myself. And now that you mention Eaton, that could actually solve two different problems. I could have Eaton join The Horsemen and turn both Windham(for getting kicked out of the Horsemen) and Lane(for being Eaton turning on him) Face. This would help out the heel/face balance greatly, and break up a tag team I keep struggling to find something to do with.
  23. <p>Hennig may be the best fit, but looking back over my roster I really need him more as a face. He's one of the three major, up-and-coming faces(along with Luger and Sting) battling the two heel stables of the Horsemen and the Million Dollar Mercenaries. There really isn't anyone lower on the card skilled enough to take his place, and flipping Hennig and Barry Windham(the Horseman he'd replace) would still be a net-negative for the face side of the company. I still got time to figure it out, I'm at the beginning of November, and I'm not planning this until the new year. </p><p> </p><p> After thinking about it, I really am leaning towards Ace. It's both realistic, and massively diverts from reality. But who knows what'll happen between now and January.</p>
  24. <p>It's been about a year since someone was kicked out of the Four Horsmen and replaced by a new member, so it's about time someone was kicked out of the Four Horsemen and replaced with a new member. the question is: Who?</p><p> </p><p> Lex Luger - Lex Luger joined the Horsemen in early 1987, cementing his membership by winning the US title off of Nikita Koloff in may. He lost the title in September, due to injury, and was kicked out of the Horsemen for being unable to win the title back. Since then, he's been tearing through the Horsemen, 1 by 1, and winning the US title back on the side, culminating with an unsuccessful World Title shot against Ric Flair. The reasoning behind having him re-join the Horsemen is that after beating the rest, and almost beating Flair, he's proved he has what it takes to be a Horesman. This could also lead to a lengthy feud with His Friend Sting, leading to Sting vs Flair at next year's Starrcade.</p><p> </p><p> Curt Hennig - After the collapse of the AWA Hennig was brought in as The Perfect Competitor, defeating Bruiser Brody in his first match, and going on a win streak for the rest of the year, including a lengthy feud against Ted DeBiase and his Million Dollar Mercenaries. Hennig has both the skills, and personality, to make a good Horseman. The drawback, and the same drawback as Luger, is that there's a lack main event and upper-midcard faces in the company, and turning him, or Luger, would make things even more imbalanced.</p><p> </p><p> Jerry Lalwer - He currently works for CWA, but was brought in during the fall of 1988 to feud with Flair. While his run was intended to fill time between The Great American Bash and the buildup to Starrcade, Flair and Lawler ended up putting on the best match so far at Halloween Havoc. I could bring him in full time as a surprise new member.</p><p> </p><p> Eaton - Despite their skill and popularity, both The Midnight Express and The Rock And Roll Express have kind of gotten lost in the shuffle. Bobby Eaton has put on stand-out performances every time he gets in the ring, and it may be time to break him away from Stan Lane in a singles run.</p><p> </p><p> Johnny Ace - Johnny Ace has spent most of the past 2 years in a moderately successful tag team with The Barbarian. Ric Flair took him on as a protege and Ace has grown by leaps and bounds as a performer. He's currently slated for a singles push, and joining the Horsemen would be a strong move in making him a star.</p><p> </p><p> Shane Douglas - Another of Flair's proteges. He's currently working with Terry Taylor inn the totally radical tag team Dudes With Attitudes. He's actually a slightly better worker than Ace.</p><p> </p><p> Kendall - The third of Flair's proteges. He's not as skilled in the ring as Ace and Douglas, or as charismatic, and he doesn't have the star power... Y'know what? scratch this idea. Moving on.</p><p> </p><p> Dean Malenko - He may not be charismatic, but he's exceptionally skilled in the ring, which is the most important part of being a Horseman. He recently won a tournament to crown a new Junior Heavyweight champion. Malenko joining the Horsmen would not just do wonders for his popularity, but would help bring importance to the Junior Heavyweight division.</p><p> </p><p> Shawn Michaels - Initially brought in for the above mentioned Junior Heavyweight tournament, his exceptional performance has earned him a full-time contract. He's the opposite of Malenko, in what he lacks in the ring he makes up for in charisma and presence.</p><p> </p><p> Scott Hall - Scott has been queitly putting on great matches in the undercard and pre-show since early 1987, in between tours of Japan. Earlier in 1988 he was brought in full-time to be a part of The Million Dollar Mercenaries, though this has mostly amounted to being the 4th man in eight-man tag matches, and jobbing to other tag teams with fellow mercenary Ron Bass. He has everything it takes to be a Horseman, but he'd have to do something about the mustache, though.</p>
