  1. Really brings to mind Bad Luck Fale's "Grenade" Thumb Spike which, to me, is equally silly as a move, let alone finisher, even if performed by a massive guy. Personally, I prefer my big dudes to go for powermoves: chokeslams, powerbombs, spinebusters, that kind of stuff. For this kid's case specifically? I'd pull off any name combination that results in multiple D words, his name included. Examples, off the top of my head: Death by Diaz Diaz Death Drop (might wanna save that for a potential Diaz tag team move) Diazstruction Diaz Domination Diaz Dominator
  2. - MAW Boot Camp 2017 graduate Clifford Coleman was the next man to be released as part of Piledriver Wrestling's continued effort to reduce roster size and expenses, having only wrestled dark pre-show matches for the promotion. - Congratulations to "The V Man" Vin Tanner for his recruitment as the new head booker of fellow COTT members Queens of American Wrestling. Tanner's hiring follows the retirement of former booker Boss Man Brayfield and everyone at Piledriver Wrestling wishes both men all the best in this new chapter of their lives.
  3. Am I... or are you moving too slow? I mean, I get it, RMW rising to Cult size, running that alonside AAW and the Texas Pete diary... I'll admit I couldn't dig up the other, more babyface-like one you had, so I went with this one. Considering how King Bison originally made it to be used for Jebediah before his untimely passing in your save, wouldn't you say it's now come full circle? This isn't Rocky Mountain Wrestling, sir. Or is it Continental Wrestling League, these days? Well, you know, the Sam Keith classic is right around the corner and I'm kinda short on tag teams anyway... True. Jebediah's a great worker and I've loved him in a past GSW save/diary so that RMW moment was a tough pill to swallow.
  4. The concept/narrative (through Taylor/Sparkell's eyes) is pretty interesting and the presentation is short and sweet. Interesting to see you team Jemson with a face wrestler in the pre-show or book a face vs face main event, have you eliminated the face/heel split? Given AAA's style of athleticism over sports entertainment shenanigans, it would make sense.

That comes on top of the two men hailing from different promotions, Riley's past in MAW and his recent proclamation as Piledriver Wrestling's main "defender" against the "MAW Invasion". All this history makes for a pretty heated match between two competitors both popular and skilled between the ropes; the Architect goes full oldschool trying to keep his opponent on the match in order to work his multitude of submission holds, while McManus complements his considerable technical wrestling skills with a hearty dose of southern-style brawling. Up close and personal is the last place you want to be when your opponent is one such as Deborah Young though, so Flame opts for hit and run tactics as she aims for her opponent's knee. It takes some time to chop down the big tree though and while that happens, Young only gets angrier while Flame in return becomes eager to wrap this up fast. This leads to miscalculation on the part of the champion, allowing Young to finally reverse and take the initiative. Given Double J's complete lack of charisma, the Florida crowd is all to happy to cheer Conduit as he lays the smackdown on the MAW alumnus, however once The Architect gets the tag he quickly takes Cip to the mat for a stretch thanks to both his skill and wit. Things are looking grim for the Piledriver team, until Conduit manages to force a rope break and crawl towards McManus for the tag. Riley comes in and locks up with the Architect in a chess game of hold and counterhold which he wins by exploiting his opponent's small mistakes. Looking for the save, Jacobs blind tags himself in but his moves are so sloppy, McManus has no problem retaining control and tagging Conduit in to finish things up with a big win to mark his return to action.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Riley McManus & Cip Conduit, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="SNEQX53.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SNEQX53.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="SNEQX53.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SNEQX53.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="rRxzJJJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rRxzJJJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ejbjbKm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ejbjbKm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="3XM4dah.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3XM4dah.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="WuYw4C6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WuYw4C6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>w</strong><img alt="lh2JDXB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lh2JDXB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Tag Team titles match</strong></p><p><strong> "The Dallas Cowboy" Bradley Blaze & "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester © vs "The Crusher" George Wolfe & "The Monster" Annihilus</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> The rebranded tag team titles are defended next as fresh champions Blaze and Winchester square off with the brutish duo of Wolfe and Annihilus. As for Scythe, he paces himself to pick his spots, at times willingly taking shots in order to lure his challenger in if that means a good chance at hitting one big power move. The start is a little slow but things steadily pick up, with Patriot barely breaking out of several chokeslam and Underworld Spike attempts. His own go at the Patriot Slam gets him to two before Scythe kicks out and it takes two more of those to keep the big man down long enough for referee Alvin Lavin to make the count, but once he gets to three, the whole place erupts in cheers as the beast has finally been conquered!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Masked Patriot, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> Masked Patriot wins the Piledriver Championship title</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="IqChfad.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IqChfad.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Show Rating:</span></strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p>

  15. Black Canvas Grappling presents The Survivor 3 Friday, W4 of June 2017 Osaka Athletic Stadium, Kinki Attendance: 3.265 Eikichi Itou & Kyuichi Matsumoto vs Gidayu Katou & MUSCLE Serizawa (Puroresu-gun) vs Motoyuki Miyake & Shuzo Utagawa (Seven Samurai) A three way tag team match between young lions, this one does a decent job of showcasing the rookies while warming up the crowd for what's to follow. Despite being the only team to not represent a faction, Itou and Matsumoto are not the first ones eliminated but those to score the first elimination when Itou pins Serizawa after an Itou bomb. However, Matsumoto does end up taking the final pin, with the prominent duo of Miyake and Utagawa picking up the win in the opener. In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Motoyuki Miyake and Shuzo Utagawa defeated Eikichi Itou and Kyuichi Matsumoto and Gidayu Katou and MUSCLE Serizawa in 10:28; the order of elimination was Gidayu Katou and MUSCLE Serizawa first, and then Eikichi Itou and Kyuichi Matsumoto. Rating: The event's big 15 man match starts with Yuki Horigoshi, Naozane Goto, Conner Threepwood and Masayuki Shiga in the ring. Unsurprisingly, stablemates and occasional tag team partners Threepwood and Goto work together against the other two competitors, making the best of Goto's size and power to score the first elimination of the match over Horigoshi. Kiyotaka comes out next, his technical prowess slowing down the match a notch. Given Goto's weakness against submissions, it's up to Threepwood to trade holds with Kiyotaka, a decision that leaves an opening for Shiga to catch an unprepared Goto from behind with a Sleeper for the tap out. Toshinobu Taku is out next and the match pace picks up for a bit, but Shiga seems unable to keep up as age has sapped his stamina. Noticing the veteran's weakness, Toshi Taku makes sure to lure Threepwood and Kiyotaka into tangling up while he catches the tired Shiga with a DDT for the elimination. Animal Harker is the next entrant and once again, the two members of Coast to Coast team up against the oppposition. An effective tactic at first, until Harker finds himself brawling at ringside with Toshi Taku, too busy to notice Threepwood trapped in Kiyotaka's Kimura before the tap out. http://i.imgur.com/CO7PSWX.jpg Rob Reynolds runs down to the ring next, joining the strikefest at ringside as Kiyotaka takes a break to recover. The brawl eventually comes back into the ring and after a double roundhouse kick combination from the two gaijin, Toshinobu Taku is eliminated. http://i.imgur.com/CO7PSWX.jpg The unlikely gaijin alliance only gets stronger when Pavel Vazycha comes out next, with Kiyotaka caught in the middle. Suffering blow after blow, Kiyotaka is hit with a big spear from Harker who turns to the entrance awaiting the next competitor. http://i.imgur.com/CO7PSWX.jpg Given the set-up, Blast Ikoma gets a big reaction from the audience as he hits the ring to clean house. Fresher than the competition, Ikoma hits all three men with a suplex, covering Harker for the pin once he's done. http://i.imgur.com/CO7PSWX.jpg Despite his strong start, Ikoma has more gaijin to worry about as Storm Spillane comes out next. The two men trade blows in the middle of the ring until Reynolds gets involved to help his fellow Rogue Trooper. The team-up forces Ikoma and Vanzycha to work together and the unlikely alliance pays off when Reynolds is eliminated by Vanzycha. Reynolds is immediately replaced by Whitlock, meaning Vanzycha and Ikoma continue to team up against the Rogue Troopers duo. Exhaustion starts to set in though and the tide shifts, leading to Whitlock hitting his finisher on Vanzycha for the elimination. Once Giant Brody comes out, it's clear we're down to the final three entrants, with just Matsushita and Smith left to compete. Brody comes out with all the confidence in the world, taking down Whitlock and Spillane with a double lariat but Ikoma had been lying in wait; with a pounce, he grabs Brody for a series of rolling suplexes, before eliminating him to a rain of cheers. The other half of the BCG World Tag Team champions comes out and apparently their plan of teaming up to take out the opposition won't be happening. Furious, Matsushita takes out his anger on Ikoma but that focus means Spillane and Whitlock are given enough time to recover and work together to take down the big man, both falling on top of him to make sure he stays down for the three count. Final entrant Bulldozer Brandon Smith isn't happy at all with his stablemates falling like that and bodies fly out of the ring once he gets to work. A Backdrop Driver later, Whitlock is down and the ref counts to three to mark the elimination. It's down to three men now, but Spillane pulls off a shocking stunt when he slingshots off the ropes towards Smith; a second too late to break up the pin, he switches his plan mid-course, jumping on the big man's back instead to lock in a cobra clutch. Slowly but surely, in the most dramatic fashion, Smith falls to one knee, then both. Referre raises his hand once... twice... and Smith is eliminated! Both Ikoma and Spillane have endured much, but they are the last men standing; a pinfall or submission away from winning the third ever Survivor match. Things are slow, painfully so, as both competitors have taken much damage all the while since entering the match and the ending sequence involves them trading forearms in a contest of fighting spirit, before Spillane collapses onto Ikoma, who turns it into a belly to belly suplex for the final pin. Rating: BCG The Survivor 3 winner Blast Ikoma National title match Yoshinaka Taku © vs "Machine Gun" Bunrakuken Torii Barely the second defense after the title's debut six months ago, this one is nevertheless a thrilling match between two legitimate superstars of Black Canvas Grappling. Both men know this is going to be a marathon, not a sprint and so pace themselves accordingly, signalling to the crowd as well that this will be a long one. The opening strikes lead to a stand off so little by little, Taku and Torii begin to introduce bigger, flashier moves in an attempt to destroy each other. For all their individual skill, their styles don't exactly mesh very well, but the in-ring action is so captivating it's easy to overlook. As things reach a climax, it boils down to whether Taku can properly execute the Full Nelson Bomb or how many of Torii's Spinning Forearm Smashes he can take while still being able to kick out of the pin attempts that follow. The match goes well past thirty minutes without ever feeling like it's dragging on and finally at 31:29, Taku hits a huge Full Nelson Bomb that earns him the pin to retain. In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Yoshinaka Taku defeated Bunrakuken Torii in 31:29 by pinfall with a Full Nelson Bomb. Yoshinaka Taku makes defence number 2 of his BCG National title. Rating: Show Rating:

According to Michaels, he couldn't just stand and watch two historical dojos and their attached promotions go under; not when they've produced so many stars and have still so much to offer, which is what he's out here to prove as he leads Piledriver Wrestling to become the real home of tomorrow's champions (a spin on the catchphrase of the Supreme Wrestling University/RIPW and a subtle jab at his former Eisen employers who made him the scapegoat after USPW took the lead in the race).</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="At6zmyr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/At6zmyr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="ys4hD4n.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ys4hD4n.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="v0edo51.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/v0edo51.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="k2Enuj8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/k2Enuj8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PSW6j5L.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PSW6j5L.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>w</strong><img alt="orMSYPb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/orMSYPb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> "The Sandman" Jules Knight & "The Sin City Smasher" Samuel Serra vs The Heartbreak Express (with Lisa Bowen)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> After kicking off the show, Peter Michaels joins the announcing team for the rest of the show and gets to work as the wrestlers make their entrances. Fans are already familiar with MAW blue chippers Needham and Liotta as well as their equally good looking manager, so the announcers focus on intoducing Knight to the Mid Atlantic audience and Serra to Piledriver regulars watching via the Internet; despite his strong Asian features, Serra is actually from Las Vegas and initially dabbled in MMA before heading to the MAW Boot Camp, from which he graduated in August of 2016. This difference also plays into how the match evolves, as Knight trades holds with both members of the Express but Serra gets so caught up in chasing a KO he ends up receiving a swinging neckbreaker from Liotta who scores the pin for the babyface team.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: The Heartbreak Express, by pinfall</strong></p><p> <img alt="7nXiDsK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7nXiDsK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="0OTqIIo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0OTqIIo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="MBBQG5n.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MBBQG5n.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Up next, the redhead duo of "Red Hot" Laura Flame and Olivia "Rough" Diamond proceed to cut a promo on their intimidating opponents, Queen Amazon and the debuting "Dangerous" Deborah Young. The in-ring action delivers on this promise, with the heels rushing to attack before the bell even rings, earning them the advantage over Flame as the match kicks off. Both Amazon and Young proceed to break down the champion, whose only success is an opening she creates for herself to tag in Diamond. Eager to relieve her partner and turn the tide, Diamond comes into the ring full of fire, but a big boot from Young quickly puts the breaks on her dreams, before they too are smashed together with her body. Queen Amazon demands the tag to finish this off and as she sets up the Amazonian Powerbomb, gestures towards Flame that she's next. The stakes are high, both men are hungry for the win here and Wolfe seems to have the advantage not only due to size and power, but also age. With no need to feel each other's style first, they get to work immediately, although their pace is pretty methodical. Scythe, as usual, is out for big moves, strikes and slams, whereas McManus tries to keep his distance and take the big man on the mat, a feat easier said than done. After this has played out for a few minutes, McManus finally manages to shoot for the legs and flatten the champion, but once he's applied a few holds, his eyes widen in shock when Scythe fights back with a newfound technical prowess, showing he's learned his lesson and adapted to better face his challenger. The upset allows Scythe to regain control of the match leading to a two count. 23. Piledriver Wrestling Presents Wrestle Bowl 2018 Saturday, Week 4 March, 2018 Live from the Rainbow Bar & Grill, FL The show kicks off with the Mid Atlantic Champion, "Class Act" Syd Collier who cuts a promo to introduce himself to the crowd, recap his history with Cameron Jones and essentially get them up to speed with Sam Keith's announcements at the opening of War for Territory #3 in Delaware, saying he's here to start the MAW invasion of Florida. w "Red Hot" Laura Flame & Marie Punnen vs "Ice Cold" Claire Winters & "The Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer) A solid tag team match to get things started, Flame and Quinzel square off again after their latest title bout and with Quinzel failing to win the COTT Womens title, she's desperate to get a pin on the champion and get back in the title picture. Her aggression forces Flame to an early retreat, bringing in Punnen and her wide array of martial arts kicks. Punnen looks to take away Quinzel's vertical base, but that's easier said than done given Talia's reach advantage. The situation has Punnen recklessly get closer until she's caught and isolated on her opponents' corner. After wearing her down, Winters takes over with super stiff shots that rock Punnen and with both Sawyer and Quinzel keeping Flame busy, Quinzel is able to set up the Flying Knee Strike that eliminates Punnen for the three count. Winners: "Ice Cold" Claire Winters & "The Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel, by pinfall The match over, Winters joins the rest of her team to assault Laura Flame. Security tries to break things up and although Flame is separated, the heels simply switch targets and take to the ring in order to vent on the barely recovered Punnen. Riley McManus vs "Double J" Josh Jacobs Canadian all arounder Josh Jacobs may be solid in the ring, but he's as generic as they come; Riley McManus isn't exactly known for his colourful character either, so the two of them skip that part in order to provide some great in-ring action for the fans. Sticking to the basics seems to work for them and the fans eat up Double J's sneaky cheating antics to generate surprising heel heat as opposed to his super clean cut opponent, making for a classic oldschool face vs heel bout that ends in cheers once McManus hits his Slingshot Suplex finisher for the pin. Winner: Riley McManus, by pinfall After the match, Riley McManus gets on the mic to cut a promo about how MAW underutilized him whereas Piledriver Wrestling gave him a chance and he proved himself by becoming champion. As a response to Syd Collier's opening promo, McManus proclaims himself defender of Piledriver Wrestling and vows to pour his heart, soul, blood sweat & tears into protecting the promotion he truly feels is his home. Queen Amazon vs Nicole Pyle Tall and lean Pyle seems to be having trouble against the shorter but stockier OLLIE import, who takes a few hits before reversing one into a ring-shaking suplex. The impact seems to have Pyle seeing stars and Queen Amazon seizes the opportunity to decimate her opponent, beating her down for the next five or so minutes. The repeated impact seems to have taken the air out of Pyle's lungs and she struggles to even recover, let alone try to hit a move, allowing her opponent to dominate their completely one-sided match and lay her out with an Amazon Powerbomb. Winner: Queen Amazon, by pinfall Scythe & George Wolfe vs "Glorious" Logan Diaz & Nate "The Great" DeMarcus Even in this gathering of heavyweights, the Piledriver champion Scythe is towering over the rest, yet he lets Wolfe to start the match against DeMarcus. No strangers to each other, the two MAW imports proceed to show Piledriver fans in Florida what they're all about, with DeMarcus showing surprising athleticism for a man his size as his spots get a pretty good reaction from the fans. Once Scythe gets the tag though, he is quick to put the brakes on the young athlete with a chokeslam, then request that Diaz gets tagged in. His challenge answered, Diaz gets the tag and comes in to face the champion once again, fans cheering as the two meet again between the ropes. The rest of the match goes back and forth until DeMarcus decides to relieve his partner via a blind tag, only for the ensuing argument to leave him exposed as he's caught with the Underworld Spike for the pin while Wolfe keeps Diaz from breaking up the pin. Winners: Scythe & George Wolfe, by pinfall Mid Atlantic Tag Team titles match "The Dirty Dog" Deuce Deadline & Trix Triumph © vs "The Dallas Cowboy" Bradley Blaze & "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester 6'4" tall 260-pounder Deuce Deadline starts the match with a mean smile on his face, always happy to throw down in a fistfight, which is exactly what his opponents promise to deliver. Him and Blaze kick things off, with the Dallas Cowboy seemingly a bit out of tune in this new environment. Making the best of the situation, Deadline positions his opponent near his corner and the heels use quick tags to cut the ring in half, until Triump tries to add a bit more grappling into the mix; Blaze brawls his way out of a tight spot and gives the hot tag to Winchester, who comes in to clean house by knocking Deadline off the apron and then hitting all his big signature moves on Triumph, before courteously tagging Blaze back in to deliver the Dallas Drop and score the pin. Winners: "The Dallas Cowboy" Bradley Blaze & "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester, by pinfall "The Dallas Cowboy" Bradley Blaze & "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester win the Mid Atlantic Tag Team titles Mid Atlantic Championship title match "Class Act" Syd Collier © vs Austin "Easy Money" Smooth Both competitors are well-versed in all aspects of wrestling, but it's the technical side where they really excell. Collier's rock solid foundationals, a clear sign of his MAW Boot Camp training, mesh well with Smooth's slick chain wrestling skills to make up an exciting match that has a little bit of everything for everyone: strikes, slams, grapples, submissions and even the occasional move that sees one man's feet leave the mat for a short while, every time leading to a near fall that spikes up the drama until Collier manages to put his opponent in the Texas Cloverleaf dead center of the ring for the tap out. Winner: "Class Act" Syd Collier, by submission "Class Act" Syd Collier makes defense number 1 of his Mid Atlantic Championship title After the challenger Tamara McFly has made her entrance, COTT Womens champion Foxxy LaRue comes out, only to get attacked from behind by a furious Queen Amazon! As the announcers fill us in, LaRue successfully made her first title defense just two days ago, beating Queen Amazon in Plaza La Esperanza and apparently the OLLIE luchadora is out for revenge. Emotion seems to get the best of her though and just as she's about to pick up LaRue for the Amazon Powerbomb off the entrance ramp, Foxxy escapes and spikes her with a DDT! w COTT Womens title match "Foxxy Lady" Foxxy LaRue © vs "No Gimmick Needed" Tamara McFly (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer) The entire match is built around Foxxy LaRue trying to overcome the damage she sustained from Queen Amazon before the match even began, with McFly trying to take advantage and earn herself one last big title run on the tail end of her career. The two ladies take things slow to build up drama and emphasize the storytelling aspect, but for all the groundwork meticulously laid, the ending sequence does feel a little bit rushed in comparison and that takes something away from the climax as LaRue connects with a Flash Head Kick to retain. Winner: "Foxxy Lady" Foxxy LaRue, by pinfall "Foxxy Lady" Foxxy LaRue makes defense number 2 of her COTT Womens title Show Rating:
