1.
Initial Thoughts

No grades might be a deal breaker to me: I get change, but this is something I'm not sure I can look past. It makes the game feel 100x more like a "Text simulator" and I'm having real trouble staring at numbers. Especially ranges like 76-79 constantly instead of just seeing a yellow C+edit just turned off scouting

Please enable arrow key controls: Kind of annoying to have to keep clicking with the mouse to go down rosters/edit controls.

I like the gameworld cornvellverse upgrades and want to support TEW and not sound negative, but UI/visually just feels there are zero improvements. This is TEW 2020 not TEW 2005, the graphics are more mixed up and muddled than ever before. I appreciate community contributions but I would argue the majorityu of "re-renders" are worse quality than the originals. It's also very distracting seeing 4-5 different styles with one promotion (when gfx first started deviating it was limited to promotion basis). The skin/base UI is also an odd choice, and its telling when on the Mod forum there are cleaner versions made with less than a week.

I dont know, we'll see. I'm sure I'll end up buying to support, but I'd like to be more excited about it/feel like more improvement is being made :/ I get theres alot of back end improvements and some things I'll prob never even be aware of, but UI/reducing button clicks is still huge as we're looking at it.

  2. Nice! Was bummed these weren't going to be included. There's one that says "Elimiation", just saying. Looks like the final release is still a long while away so no rush there. :p

Oops I’ll fix that quick then hopefully have some more to add by release. I’ll prob have a few B show/brand split mock ups for people to use as well since I’ll prob end up doing a diary

  3.
Canada was one of my favorite areas so the change is good atleast from a shake up standpoint

however like someone said it probably should have happened in 2016 so we got the DeColt/Stone rivalry, and then in 2020 we get to where we are now with the "new generation"

the hybrid product product type saying its the perfect medium gives alot of flexibility. and while its a popular thing now a days to compare things to AEW, that seems to be where CWA is at. The face/heel divide is there, workers popularity is balanced with in match quality. you can do the crazy bumps but the only thing missing is the dangerous/controversial/bloddy match types aren't liked, maybe thats something to add down the line.

And yeah, the Rosters huge lol I think starting a B show that I auto book will be the way to go. The "reconisable" tier is where most workers sit which is either older vet guys or the young studs. so likely having those young studs go over on B shows seems likely trying to build up guys like Stone and DaLay's kids.

The good thing, is the main event scene is great so you don't have to worry about that. Throw in the occasional Jack or even Steve match if you want at a PPV to also help get boosts.

I think there is also plenty of "midcard" potential to also make it to main event or "major star" as it is now with guys like Ricky finally getting their shot.

Anyways, I'm excited, and I am going to go Photoshop their event logos since the game doesn't have them <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

  4.
I wasn't the loving WK11 while watching, but looking back I loved it.

The best thing to me was the slow build. I liked how every belt was changing hands, really put pressure on the last few matches.

The first half of matches were pretty "meh" or stale.

Rumble- not even gonna really judge it

Tiger Mask- I get its a fine marketing match, but I haven't watched the anime. Its better than getting lots of commercials though for marketing like in US

Bucks vs Vice- Pleasantly surprised Vice won. The Bucks are overrated and overdone by now. I get it, you superkick and say suck it. It seems more and more of the IWC is sick of them also. Taking the belts off them helps NJPW as a whole though

6 man title- Was whatever. Richochet/Ospreay didn't get much time which was a little surprising.

Cody Rhodes- This was what it was, an ROH promotion match and a way to get a "big" American name on the card. Cody still feels so "weak" to me and doesn't scream star at all. His finishers are terrible and he comes off as a really boring guy to me trying hard to not be boring.

ROH World title- Not a O'Reilly fan, was surprised Cole won title back since he's expected to go to WWE when contract expires, but then I read today its expected O'Reilly goes to WWE also who's contract is up first. The wife likes Cole and saying BAY-BAY so he's good in my books.

Tag titles- Thought it was weird to take belts of GOD, BC is looking pretty weak now in NJPW. Also not a fan of a "joker" getting the titles, when NJPW overall is much more serious than WWE

Jr HW title- Thought it was a good match and really like Takahashi, his flair makes him stand out

Never Openweight- Not a big fan of either so I wasn't invested in the match really

IC- Great match, great build. Was nice to Tanahashi play the bad guy a little bit at times. Naito is really fun so was cool he won.

HW title- Match was amazing and deserves the credit its getting and the crazy 6* rating. There were probably 3-5 holy shit moments. Yet the guys just kept going. Usually after a big moment, guys lay around for 5 minutes, or its a multiperson match to give guys a break. These two just went crazy on one another, made it feel like a real battle and good back and forth without being cheesy. Only criticism is how many finishers Okada hit, like 4 Rainmakers and 3 tombstones? Would have rather scene Kenny escape more or Okada use different moves to "turn the tide".

Disappointing Kenny didn't' win but his time will come and he's proven to be the biggest draw in global wrestling right now. The amount of interested in WK11 bc of him is insane.

  5. I have put a few hours in the SP game and not too impressed so far from the actual game standpoint.

From a South Park humor/tie in/animation its great and that is the huge huge selling point. You will laugh and have fun pointing out easter eggs frome arly seasons.

However from a game standpoint it is lacking for me. First, its $60 for a 15-20 no online play game. That's kind of steep in today's game market for no online or replay ability.

Second is the combat. I read how good the combat is and how its like an RPG but I am actually disappointed by it big time. I really don't like the real time click thing, I feel like its cheap in games and trying to add more fake game play (looking at you Tomb Raider and your button mashing). I don't feel smart or strategic because I clicked the mouse on time.

For a $20 steam sale, yeah its super fun, but I think the humor and animation is getting it greatly over rated from an actual game which lots of reviews and previews hyped up.

Looks more like KISS make up to me, but I will keep them since the quality is still good <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

edit: I see you darkened the hair I will have to do that on mine

  7.
Can someone slap some dark face paint on this Duberry Excess to better fit his "Demon Seed" character instead of the bad mask?

    http://i757.photobucket.com/albums/xx212/Cverse_Rerender/jtlant/DuberryExcess.jpg

I was thinking maybe typical "Crow" style like Dark Angel uses but as long as its "Demonie" looking that will be great <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

  8.

Hey if it wasn't a work at all... you bet your ass Vince is taking a look at the social media coverage and at the very least making a strong bid to get that man back on WWE TV ASAP lol

That is my point. I'm not saying there is no way in heck CM Punk is upset, but I would be more 1000% shocked if CM Punk is never on WWE TV again, so to completely write off that notion in the world of wrestling is so laughable. Maybe through all the re writing they really did just leave him off? Once again this is only 3 days later, were not talking a month.

BREAKING UPDATED NEWS: WWE HAS STOPPED FOLLOWING CM PUNK ON TWITTER OH NO! It must be for real now <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

  9.
No mention of it on TV shows?

Sorry but you clearly don't understand buzz and marketing Stennick. It doesn't have to be on WWE.com to make it planned. This is 2013, the day and ago of internet and social media.

The story is on TMZ, yahoo, MSN, have all picked it up. That means it is generating HUGE buzz. WWE hardcore fans are googling like crazy trying to find out what is going on, casual fans who may not really watch are seeing it all over. People think wrestling is 100% scripted and fake so how do you sell to them that its not?

The payoff? The payoff is getting people to tune in and making $. It has only been a few days, you are making it seem like WWE has not acknowledged in months. All it takes to 100% turn it into a work is for WWE's teaser to be "Tune in to find out why CM Punk Went home" or Kane to go on Monday and call him out for running away like a baby.

    ta da.

  10.
I posted in the WWE thread how I caught the RAW replay for the first time in years while away in hotel for work so I did some TNA digging around.

-AJ Styles is now gone? That's sad. He is one of the reasons I started watching TNA back in the day, his springboard reverse DDT was awesome.

    -Sting is apparently finally gone?

-And ratings sucked big time in 2013?

I tried watching a bit when Hogan came out but it sucked really bad so haven't watched since about a month after that. I liked TNA a lot back in the day with Abyss, Daniels, and Raven but man, are they finally going to go out of business soon?

  11.
So I just watched the RAW reply or w/e in my hotel room while channel flipping. Haven't watched for years due to the pathetic nature of it and HOW is it possible this product has gotten worse?

    -Goldust is still around

    - So are the New Age Outlaws

    - Daniel Bryan (who used to be awesome on indy) now has a "yes" gimmick? And the crowd is stupid enough to do it? Wow.

    - Bradshaw is still announcing

    - Kane is now a GM role? wtf, I am now crying.

-Stephanie McMahon is still around on tv. WTF

-Batista is back (yay for 45 year old steroid guys)

-R Truth/ Kwik is still there

-Also some flamboyant latin guy? Yeah bc that's original and have never seen that. But oh wait he has a big lighting rig come down so that means hes awesome

I mean seriously wtf, why isn't this halfway decent? I want to consider myself a wrestling fan but after half an hour to still see where its at I can't believe they still fill arenas and easily reminded me whey I haven't watched in years.

It seems the only positive thing about this is still CM PUnk who has been everyones favorite for years and I wish he was around during good writing years.

  12.
The Rousey image is an interesting one. Whether it is the UFC or the TV people being involved in the editing at the end of the day it is a UFC product and if say Lorenzo was super upset by it, it would be changed.

I am not sure if they are making her look bad on purpose or if it is more of a people are getting sick of her thing. She was ALL over the place earlier this year. Casual fans (like my gf) still love her and will support her. However to fight fans, she has still only fought in the UFC once, so credibility is still an issue (not like shes gone 10-0 as womans champion).

From the TV side, they may be trying to garner more Tate fans to make the fight seem more even in fanbase since at the beginning Rousey probably had 90% of the market share, but that isn't good for the UFC should she indeed leave relatively soon. Tate has also been VERY calm about the whole thing. "I respect Ronda, she's great, bla blah" where Rhonda has not. From the first press conference Tate stands their smiling while Ronda scowls. Kinda gets old. Tate has also made more effort to go mainstream with things like the "sexy" ESPN shoot.

As far as the actual poll, I don't think it is that surprising in hind sight. Casual fans are not voting for the UFC video game cover, people that follow the UFC on Facebook are. As mentioned earlier, those fight fans may be getting a little sick of Rousey's attitude by now , even if they will still support her come fight night. There is also probably a good amount of people that wanted to "stick it" to Rousey and voted for Tate.
